There were 21 women as subjects for the research. The 21 women sorted the 34 statements using the principle of Forced Normal Distribution. The principle of Forced Normal Distribution, which has nine scales to measure the individual opinions, was called Q-Factor Analysis by using PC Quanl Program to supply the material. As a result, there were four categories(self-com-passion type, self-regulation type, self-perception type, self-abandonment type) of special opinion about the menopause experience in these women. The P sample selection standard of this study were 25 nurses and 30 head nurses. Preliminary Q-statements were collected through personal and telephone interviews and based in consultation with reference books, eyeglass wearers, an optician and an oculist. Finally, 34 Q-samples were seleted. The results were analyzed by a Q-factor with a PC QUANL Program. The self-image of eyeglass wearers were found to revolve around three types: Type 1. They feel that eyeglasses have a negative influence on image and that they uncomfortable. In addition, other people have a negative bias toward people who wear eyeglasses. As a result of these negative prejudices and inconveniences, there is a tendency to wear contact lens or have laser operations. Type 2. They feel less uncomfortable comparatively, when explained that glasses can help improve their image. When explained as a fashion accessory, negative prejudices almost disappeared. Type 3. They show a positive reaction when explained that spectacles are also used for sight protection. Howerer, they are sensitive to changes in their complexion as a result of eyeglass wear and place much importance in the design of glass frames. The significance of this study is to suggest basic data for a mediation device that improve the image of eyeglass wearers discovery and analysis of these three types.

  • An exhibition administrator, one who works in the exhibition space of museums and exhibition halls, has carried on various tasks in order to improve the exhibition standard and viewer's satisfaction. Although exhibition administrators have a variety of direct perceptions regarding an exhibition in the actual on-site space, a study on their consciousness was absent. Thus, this study was to comprehend the awareness of how the consciousness of exhibition administrators, who directly understand the various matters regarding the exhibition on-site, was structured and to investigate the difference between the consciousness of exhibition viewers and designers. For the study, Q-Methodology, which can scientifically manage the consciousness such as awareness and the acquired attitudes through individual experiences from a specific group, was applied. The classification of 33 Q-methodology research questions was carried out with 18 exhibition administrators, who are working at either national or public museums and exhibition halls in Korea, and the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) using the QUANL PC program was performed. The results of the analysis provided the following 4 types: 'viewer attraction and exhibition method oriented', 'exhibition standard oriented', 'public relations oriented' and 'the public and government's interest oriented'. Each type showed significant characteristics. Additionally, n showed that 'exhibition standard oriented' was the common type after comparing the type of consciousness among the 3 groups of people, such as an exhibition administrator, an exhibition designer, and a viewer. It indicated that the types of 'public relations oriented' and 'the public and government's interest oriented' from the consciousness category for the exhibition administrator were the most independent type, not being found in any of the other groups. And the Significant correlation between the exhibition viewers and designers was identified after examining the Pearson's correlation among the 3 groups.

  • The study was designed to identify the attitude of nursing students to clinical education through Q-methodology. A C sample was developed through a review of the literature and interviews. Twenty - seven statements made up the finalized Q- sample. This was out of an initial 143 statements developed through consultation with eight professors. The P sample consisted of 25 nursing students in S Health Junior College.0 statements were written on seperate cards and were given to the 25 subjects to sort according to degree of agreement or disagreement. The Q-sorts by each subject were coded and analyzed with QUANL PC Program. The analysis discovered three major attitudes, namely “amicable adaptation” 〈type 1), “Nightingale social service” (type 2), and “realistic occupation pursuit” (type 3). The correlation was .465 between type 1 and type 2, .293 between type 1 and type 3, and .273 between type 2 and type 3. The characteristics of each type were as follows ; Type 1 (amicable adaptation) They satisfied in interpersonal relationships in the clinical setting. They would not dream of becoming Nightingale, but thought of nursing care affirmatively and performed their works faithfully and adapted themselves to the new circumstances easily, Fourteen subjects were classified as type 1. Type 2 (Nightingale: social service) They often dreamed as a child that they would be Nightingale with a white uniform and think that nursing is a gift from heaven. They have an aptitude for nursing care by nature and selected nursing science them-selves. They give care to the sick with pleasure. Seven subjects were classified as type 2. Type 3 (realistic occupation pursuit) They were not satisfied with their nursing practice. First of all they want a stable job, therefore they selected nursing science. They had conflicts in clinical practice, but were responsible for nursing and studied hard. Four subjects were classified as type 3. Through the results of this study, the attitude of nursing students to clinical education could be classified into three types. Therefore it is suggested that clinical education would be more valuable, if it was planned according to an understanding of the attitudes of nursing students to clinical education.
