P(VDF/TrFE) 필름의 두께에 따른 인체 감지형 초전형 PIR 적외선 센서의 특성 (Effect of P(VDF/TrFE) Film Thickness on the Characteristics of Pyroelectric Passive Infrared Ray Sensor for Human Body Detection)

  • A thick 25 ${\mu}m$ thickness poled P(VDF/TrFE) film pyroelectric infrared ray sensor has been fabricated and then thin 1.6 ${\mu}m$ thickness P(VDF/TrFE) film pyroelectric infrared ray sensor has been fabricated also. These thick and thin P(VDF/TrFE) film pyroelectric infrared ray sensor was mounted in TO-5 housing to detect infrared light of 5.5 ~ 14 ${\mu}m$ wavelength for human body detecting with each other. The noise output voltage of the thick P(VDF/TrFE) film pyroelectric infrared ray sensor were 380 mV and NEP(noise equivalent power) is $3.95{\times}10^{-7}$ W which is the similar value with the commercial pyroelectric infrared ray sensor using ceramic materials as a sensing material. The NEP and specific detectivity $D^*$ of the thin P(VDF/TrFE) film pyroelectric infrared ray sensor were $2.13{\times}10^{-8}$ W and $9.37{\times}106$ cm/W under emission energy of 13 ${\mu}W/cm^2$ respectively. These result caused by lower thermal diffusion coefficient of a thin 1.6 ${\mu}m$ thickness PVDF/TrFE film than the thick 25 ${\mu}m$ thickness poled P(VDF/TrFE) film pyroelectric infrared ray sensor.

  • PZT ceramics, usually used pyroelectric materials exhibited a relatively highly Curie temperture(Tc) of $250-450^{\circ}C$ and permittivity constant of 500-1600. In this paper, the pyroelectric infrared detectors are applied two different types of pyroelectric materials, that is tetragonal crystal of ferroelectric $PbTiO_3$ and rhombohedral crystal of $Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$. PZT ceramics shows not only highly Curie temperture but also excellent pyro and piezoelectric properties at the Zr/Ti(=52/48) ratio. Therefor in this paper, the pyroelectric infrared detectors are applied PZT ceramics, and obtained sensitive sensing characteristics by expriment case studies.

The Fabrication and Characteristics of 0-3 PbTiO$_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) Nanocomposite Thin Films for Passive Pyroelectric Infrared Sensors

  • 0-3 PbTiO$_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) nanocomposite thin films for passive pyroelectric infrared sensors were fabricated by a two-step spin coating technique. 65wt% VDF and 35 wt% TrFE was formed into a P(VDF/TrFE) powder. Nano size PbTiO$_3$ powder was used. 0-3 connectivity of PbTiO$_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) composite film was successfully achieved and observed using SEM photography. The dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient were measured and compared with P(VDF/TrFE). A very low dielectric constant (13.48 at 1KHz and sufficiently high pyroelectric coefficient (3.101 nC/$\textrm{cm}^2$ㆍk at 5$0^{\circ}C$) were measured. This nanocomposite can be used for a new pyroelectric infrared sensor to achieve better performance.

  • This thesis studies development of a triple pyroelectric Infrared flame detector to have appropriate reaction characteristics with proper operational features in various and radiant energy characteristics of fire sources, and to contribute to minimize the losses of human lives and properties by detecting fire in very early stage to restrict the spread of fire.

  • A pyroelectric sensor using $PbTiO_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) nanocomposites thin film for sensing materials has been fabricated and evaluated with other commercial pyroelectric sensors that use ceramic materials for sensing. The device was mounted in a TO-5 housing to detect infrared light of 5.5 ~ 14 ${\mu}m$ wavelength. The NEP (noise equivalent power) and specific detectivity D of the device were 1.30 ${\times}$ $10^{-8}$W and 1.53 ${\times}$ $10^7$cm /W respectively under emission energy of 13 ${\mu}$W/c$m^2$ respectively. This result shows a better characteristic than the other commercial pyroelectric infrared sensors.

  • Uncooled pyroelectric infrared detectors based on BST(B $a_{-x}$S $r_{x}$Ti $O_3$) thin films have been fabricated by RF magnetron sputtering and surface Micromachining technology. The detectors form BST thin film ferroelectric capacitors grown by RF magnetron sputtering on N/O/N(S $i_3$ $N_4$/ $SiO_2$/S $i_3$ $N_4$) membrane. The sputtered BST thin film exhibits highly c-axis oriented crystal structure that no poling treatment for sensing applications is required. This is an essential factor to increase the yield for realization of an infrared image sensor. surface-Micromachining technology is used to lower the thermal mass of the detector by giving maximum sensor efficiency Gold-black is evaporated on top of the sensing elements used the thermal evaporator. fabricated uncooled pyroelectric infrared detectors is highly output voltage at the low temperature(1$^{\circ}C$).).).

  • 초전형 적외선 센서의 감지물질로 사용하기 위해 $PbTiO_3$/P(VDF/TrFE) 복합재료 박막을 스핀코팅방법을 사용하여 제작하였다. 시료는 65 wt% VDF와 35 wt% TrFE의 함량 P(VDF/TrFE) 분말을 사용하였으며 세라믹-고분자 복합재료를 제조하기 위하여 사용된 세라믹은 $PbTiO_3$ 분말을 사용하였다. 제조된 복합재료의 P(VDF/TrFE)와 $PbTiO_3$의 결합성을 확인하기 위해 제조된 박막의 표면은 SEM을 통해 관찰하였고 복합재료의 커패시턴스와 비유전율, 유전손실은 임피던스 분석기 (HP4192A)로 측정하였으며, 복합재료의 초전계수는 반도체 파라미터 분석기(HP4145B)로 조사하였다.

  • 인체감지용 초전형 적외선 센서 시스템은 최소 2개 이상의 센서를 사용한다. 상부전극과 바닥전극의 디자인을 새로이 하여 센서 2개가 인체감지를 가능하게 하는 센서 시스템을 센서 1개로 구성한 변환기를 설계하였다. 초전성 효과를 나타내는 재료로는 P(VDF/TrFE) 필름을 이용하였다 제작된 적외선 센서는 기존의 2개 이상의 센서를 사용하던 시스템에 비해 거의 같은 결과인 적외선원 13 $\times$ 10$10^-6$ 에 대하여 9.62 $\times$ 10$10^5$ V/W 의 높은 전압감도를 나타내었으며 NEP (noise equivalent power) 는 3.95 $\times$ $10^-7$/ W, 그리고 specific detectivity D$^*$는 5.06 $\times$ $10^5$ cm/W나타내었다.

  • 초전성효과를 나타내는 P(VDF/TrFE) 필름을 이용하여 초전형 적외선 센서를 제작하였다. 필름의 VDF와 TrFE의 질량비는 75/25 이며 두께 $25\;{\mu}m$의 분극처리된 것을 사용하였다. 상부전극과 바닥전극의 디자인을 새로이 하여 인체검지용 초전형 적외선 센서로서 더욱 더 간단한 제조공정과 접속방법을 적용하였다. 상부전극과 바닥전극은 알루미늄을 각각 진공 증착시켰으며 $5.5{\sim}14\;{\mu}m$의 적외선 영역대에 반응시키기 위해 필터가 부착된 TO-5에 하우징 하였다. 제작된 적외선 센서는 적외선원 $13{\times}10^{-6}\;W/cm^2$에 대하여 $9.62{\times}10^5\;V/W$의 높은 전압감도를 나타내었으며 NEP (noise equivalent power) 는 $3.95{\times}10^{-7}\;W$, 그리고 specific detectivity $D^*$$5.06{\times}10^5\;cm/W$를 나타내었다.
