  • An active-clamp current-fed push-pull converter for the step-up application is proposed. The proposed converter is composed of active-clamp circuits and a voltage doubler rectifier. Thus, the voltage stress of the main switches is reduced and the output diodes are clamped to output voltage. Moreover, the output diodes can achieve zero current switching (ZCS) by the series resonance between resonant capacitors and leakage inductances. The prototype is designed for 350V/1.5kW with input voltage range $30{\sim}60V$. The theoretical analysis and experimental results are presented.

  • In This paper, A novel zero-voltage-switching(ZVS) resonant DC-DC converter is proposed. it is composed of two symmetrical active-clamped circuits, The converter can achieve each switchs ZVS. proposed circuit is active clamp capacitor Ratios can be reduce switching voltage stress of each main switch. Simulation results using Pspice ver 9.2 show that the prove the validity of theoretical analysis.

  • With the advent of power semiconductor switching devices, power electronics relating to high frequency electromagnetic eddy current based induction heating technology have become more suitable and acceptable. This paper presents high-frequency induction heating cooking appliance circuit based on the zero current switching-PWM single ended push-pull(ZCS-PWM SEPP) resonant inverter added AC-DC converter. This inverter uses pulse-width-modulation(PWM) control method with active auxiliary quasi-resonant lossless inductor snubbers and a switched capacitor. To improved the transient performance, the PI controller is applied for this system. For the systematic parameter optimization of the PI controller, the gradient-based optimization algorithm is applied. The performance of optimized parameters is evaluated using simulation and experimental test. These results show that the proposed systematic optimal tuning method improve the transient performances of this system.

  • This paper proposes a Push type High Frequency DC-DC Converter using Zero Voltage Switching to reduce turn on and off loss at the switching instants. This paper has a advantage which is able to operating safely in load short, because DC reactor is connected with resonance reactor in order to supply a fixed safely in load short, because DC reactor is connected with resonance reactor in order to supply a fixed current with low ripple from DC power supply. The capacitor $(C_1, C_2)$ connected in switch are a common using as resonance capacitor and ZVS capacitor. The analysis of the proposed high frequency resonance DC-DC converter is generally described by using normallized parameter, and we has evaluated characteristic values which is needed to design a circuit. We conform a rightfulness of theoritical analysis by comparing a theoretical values and experimental values obtained from experiment using MOSFET as switching devices.

  • A new contactless Li-ion battery charging system was proposed. The conventional methods for charging Li-ion battery have some weak points. For example, there can be a contact failure, a poor waterproof, and a difficulty to standardize the battery charging systems. The new proposed system can overcome these weak points. The new charging system is composed of power transfer part and data transfer part. This paper focuses on the power transfer part for contactless battery charging. The power stage is mainly composed of PPRC(Push-pull Parallel Resonant Converter) and flyback converter. The new method of chaging Li-ion battery was proposed and PPRC + flyback-boost topology was analyzed. The proposed toplogy was tested under the constant voltage control and the constant current control which are adequate for charging Li-ion battery.

  • 본 논문은 재생에너지의 고전압크기 변환에 적용하기 위해 출력 정류 다이오드 뒤에 LCL 공진회로를 갖는 푸시풀 컨버터를 나타내었다. 푸시풀 컨버터의 공진회로는 두 배의 스위칭 주파로 동작함으로 공진요소의 값이 작아도 되어 소형 경량이다. 제안된 푸시풀 컨버터 토포로지는 낮은 전압에서 높은 전압까지 안정된 전압을 얻을 수 있다. 실험 컨버터는 입력전압 24[V], 전류 80-A, 출력전압 320[V] 출력 1.5[kW]이고 동작 주파수 20 [kHz]에서 양호하게 동작하였고 시뮬레이션과 실험 결과가 잘 일치함을 볼 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 1kW급 가정용 연료전지의 계통연계 및 고효율 전력변환 시스템 개발에 관한 것이다. 본 시스템에서 구현된 전력변환장치는 일반적인 연료전지용 PCS와 마찬가지로 DC/DC 컨버터부와 DC/AC 인버터부로 구성되며, 전체 시스템의 동작은, DC/DC 컨버터부에서는 고효율화를 위하여 공진형으로 동작되며, DC/AC 인버터부에서는 출력전력 제어와 계통연계를 수행한다.

  • The grid voltage of commercial utility power source hi Japan and USA is 100rms, but in China and European countries, it is 200rms. In recent years, In Japan 200Vrms out putted single phase three wire system begins to be used for high power applications. In 100Vrms utility AC power applications and systems, an active voltage clamped quasi-resonant Inverter circuit topology using IGBTs has been effectively used so far for the consumer microwave oven. In this paper, presented is a half bridge type voltage-clamped high-frequency Inverter type AC-DC converter using which is designed for consumer magnetron drive used as the consumer microwave oven in 200V utility AC power system. This zero voltage soft switching Inverter can use the same power rated switching semiconductor devices and three-winding high frequency transformer as those of the active voltage clamped quasi-resonant Inverter using the IGBTs that has already been used for 100V utility AC power source. The operating performances of the voltage source single ended push pull type Inverter are evaluated and discussed for consumer microwave oven. The harmonic line current components In the utility AC power side of the AC-DC power converter operating at ZVS­PWM strategy reduced and improved on the basis of sine wave like pulse frequency modulation and sine wave like pulse width modulation for the utility AC voltage source.

  • This paper describes the development of a miniature high voltage power supply for driving an image intensifier tube (IIT). The IIT is used for portable night vision devices to observe an object in the dark. A small-sized high voltage power supply generating thousands volts from the battery power source is needed to drive the IIT. This paper presents the design and implementation of the high voltage power supply for the IIT. The experimental results are provided to verify the operation of the developed power supply.
