반응시간과 선호도를 고려한 승용차 Warning Control 의 인간공학적 설계 (Ergonomic Design of Warning Control in Passenger Car Based on Response Time and Preference)

  • Warning control is one of the most important components in driver's cabin for achieving safe driving. The purpose of this study is to suggest ergonomically optimal location and type of passenger car's warning control. An experiment was conducted using driving simulator, in which nine locations and two types of warning controls -push button, rocker switch- were employed as experimental variables, and response time for warning signal and preference for locations and types of warning controls were measured as dependent variables. The results showed that response time for warning signal was the shortest when warning control was located at the middle left corner of the center fascia, and was the second at the middle center of the center fascia. Preference for warning signal was the highest at the middle left comer of the center fascia, and was the second between the steering wheel column and the center fascia. Although push button was not preferred to rocker switch, response time was shorter for push button than for rocker switch. It was suggested from these results that warning control with the type of push button should he located at among the middle left corner of the center fascia, the middle center of the center fascia, and between the steering wheel column and the center fascia.

휴대전화와 MP3에 사용되는 Wheel Navigation Key의 사용성 평가 (Usability Evaluation of the Wheel Navigation Key used for Mobile Phone and MP3)

  • The aim of the study is to investigate the usability of wheel navigation key(WNK) recently adopted for the new models of mobile phone and MP3 product. In this study, an experiment was designed to evaluate the functional benefit of WNK by using a performance test. A questionnaire was also used to examine the personal preference. In results, a significant difference was found in performance time between wheel-type and button-type product. In general, the difference was more significant as subject's skill level was higher. In particular, the performance time was significantly shortened with the WNK when a searching task was required, but push button was an effective interface for simple search task among beginners. Therefore, the wheel navigation key can be used to improve the usability of product by reducing the searching time in mobile phone and mp3. For practical application, the user's level of skill needs to be considered to maximize the effect of interface when choosing WNK or push button.

3지 교차로에서 보행자 교통량에 따른 보행자작동신호기를 이용한 신호제어효율에 관한 분석 (An Analysis on Signal Control Efficiency in a Three-Leg Intersection Adopting Pedestrian Push-Button System Following Pedestrian volume)

  • 본 연구는 기존 정주기식 신호제어로 인하여 비효율적으로 운영되고 있는 3지 교차로의 문제점을 보완하는 방안으로써 반감응 신호제어를 기본으로 하고 보행자작동신호기를 사용하는 신호운영방식의 효율성을 분석하였다. 반감응 신호제어의 경우 부도로에 교통량이 적을 때 주도로의 교통소통을 원활히 하여 교차로 내 지체를 감소시킬 수 있으며, 보행자작동신호기는 보행자가 없음에도 불구하고 보행자 신호를 작동시켜 발생하는 불필요한 대기시간을 줄일 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 위의 두 가지의 장점을 모았을 경우 기존의 정주기식 신호제어와 반감응식 신호제어에 비하여 얼마나 효과가 있는지 미시적 시뮬레이션 프로그램인 VISSIM을 사용하여 정량화된 차량당 평균지체 감소의 정도를 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 인천의 1개 3지 교차로를 대상으로 현장조사를 실시하였고 각각의 신호제어 방식에 따라서 보행자 교통량을 변화시켜 민감도 분석을 실시하였다. 시나리오 별 분석을 통하여 차량당 평균지체시간을 비교한 결과, 대상교차로는 정주기식 신호제어에 비하여 보행자작동신호기를 이용한 신호제어방식이 최소 3.7초(10%), 최대 6초(16%)의 감소효과를 나타내었으며 반감응식 신호제어와의 비교에서는 보행자교통량이 측정교통량의 20% 이하일때보다 효율적인 것으로 나타났다.

  • The objective of the study is to develop selfie sticks to enhance portability and prevent error of pushing mobile phone button. The main target of selfie sticks is women and the size of selfie sticks is too big to put it in their bag. Also when people put mobile phone in a selfie stick, people push its button easily. Sometimes mobile phone is turned off or the volume is controlled because of pushing its button. The researcher focused on designing a solution that enhances portability and preventing error of pushing the button. The researcher understood structure of selfie stick. It consists of a mobile phone supporter and a length adjuster. The researcher designed the mobile phone supporter for enhancing portability and the length adjuster for preventing to push the mobile phone. The researcher designed a part which connects a mobile phone supporter with a length adjuster and made selfie stick fold. Also, sponges are partly put on the mobile supporter. It can reduce situation of pushing the mobile phone button. The selfie stick design from the study has an opportunity to distinguish using the product and carrying it and have people use the selfie stick conveniently.

  • In this paper, we present autonomous mobile robot system, which has an image recognition module and perform tasks by itself with manipulator. Autonomous mobile robot can push each individual button on an elevator panel from a person's command. After the robot receives its command, it analyzes the image information of the elevator button that is acquired by CCD camera in an indoor environment with an elevator. 차량 및 보행자를 고려한 회전교차로 감응식 신호미터링 알고리즘 개발 (A Dynamic Signal Metering Algorithm Development for Vehicles and Pedestrians at Roundabouts)

  • 최근 교통소통 및 교통안전 제고 측면에서 회전교차로 설치가 장려되고 있다. 비교적 교통량이 적고 보행자가 많지 않은 교차로에 설치되는 회전교차로는 진입속도가 낮고 차량과 보행자간 상충횟수가 상대적으로 적다는 이유로 신호등이 없는 비보호 횡단보도로 운영됨에 따라 보행자에 대한 안전보장이 미흡한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2차로형 4지 회전교차로를 대상으로 차량의 소통과 보행자의 안전을 동시에 고려한 회전교차로 감응식 신호미터링 알고리즘을 개발하였으며, 3개 운영 시나리오(고정식 보행신호, 차량 신호미터링, 차량 및 보행자 신호미터링)에 대해 VISSIM을 활용하여 개선효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 회전교차로에 고정식 보행신호를 설치하여 운영할 경우 차량 당 평균지체는 전체적으로 증가하는 것으로 분석되었으며, 특히 총 진입교통량 3,800대/시에서 최대 51.4초/대로 42.5%까지 증가하였다. 반면 보행자 Push Button과 차량 신호미터링을 접목하여 신호미터링을 운영할 경우 차량 당 평균지체는 총 진입교통량 3,000대/시에서 최대 40.6초/대로 42.7%까지 감소하였다.

자극에 대한 상호작용 관점에서의 노인의 오류 특성 (The Elderly's Error Characteristics in Some Human Interactions)

  • In this research, three topics were studied for the elderly. The first was the elderly's error characteristics for tracing task and the second was for depth perception. The characteristics were compared with the young's. Twenty two old people and twenty two young people participated in the tracing experiment, respectively. In the depth perception experiment, twenty three old people and twenty two young people participated. A depth perception apparatus and a tracing one were used in the experiment. In the depth perception error, a significant difference was not detected on gender. However significant differences were detected with age and viewing distance. In the tracing error, significant difference was detected with age, also. The third experiment was push-button operation and fifteen old people participated in the experiment. As the result, operation time error was increased with the button size and the moving distance. The result of this study will be able to be considered in its user interface design to reduce the elderly's error while using a product.

이동형 머니퓰레이터의 숫자버튼 조작을 위한 시각제어 시스템 개발 (Development of a Visual Servo System in a Mobile Manipulator for Operating Numeral Buttons)

  • A service robot is expected to be useful in indoor environment such as a hotel, a hospital and so on. However, many service robots are driven by wheels so that they cannot climb stairs to move to other floors. If the robot cannot use elevators. In this paper, the mobile manipulator system was developed, which can operate numeral buttons on the operating panel in the elevator. To perform this task, the robot is composed of an image recognition module, an ultrasonic sensor module and a manipulator. The robot can recognize numeral buttons and an end-effector in manipulator by the vision system. The Learning vector quantization (LVQ) algorithm is used to recognize the number on the button. The barcode mark on the end-effector is used to recognize the end-effector. The manipulator can push numeral buttons using informations captured by the vision system. The proposed method is evaluated by experiments.

디지틀 필터를 이용한 Push Button 수신기 설계

  • 현재의 TDX-1 에서 사용되는 푸쉬버튼 수신기는 애널로그형으로 TDM방식의 디지틀 교환기인 TDX-1 에는 적합치 못하며 애널로그방식의 푸쉬버튼 수신기는 채널당 한 회로가 필요하게 되어 32채널 수용시 경제성 및 회로 팩 부피에서 불리한 입장이다. 따라서 본고에서는 디지틀화 추세에 따라 디지틀 필터 방식에 의한 디지틀 푸쉬버튼 수신기를 구성하여 채널을 다중화할 수 있으며, 이에 따라 애널로그 방식보다 경제성 및 집적도가 향상되며 안정도가 높은 디지틀 푸쉬버튼 수신기를 구성하는 방법을 제시하였다.
