가변밸브 작동기구를 적용한 가솔린 기관의 잔류가스분율, 체적효율, 펌핑손실 예측을 위한 해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis for Prediction of the Residual Gas Fraction, Volumetric Efficiency and Pumping Loss with Continuous Variable Valve Lift System in an SI Engine)

  • To satisfy the needs on fuel economy and engine performance, continuous variable valve lift systems are applying to engines. In the CVVL system, fuel economy can be improved by reducing pumping loss during the induction process, and engine performance can be also improved by controlling volumetric efficiency and the residual gas fraction. Because the residual gas fraction directly affects volumetric efficiency, engine performance, combustion efficiency and emissions in SI engines, controlling residual gas fraction is one of the important things in engine development process. This analysis investigates the residual gas fraction and volumetric efficiency with changes of intake valve lifts and intake valve timings. In this study, unsteady state solutions were solved during exhaust and induction processes. Results show variation of the residual gas fraction and volumetric efficiency by changing intake valve timing and lift. Decreasing intake valve lift leads to increase the residual gas fraction and to decrease volumetric efficiency.

충적층 양수정에서 우물개량을 통한 우물효율의 개선 (Improvement of Well Efficiency through Well Development in a Pumping Well)

  • Drilling at unconsolidated layer can make the aquifer disturbed and reduce a productivity of groundwater well. Surge block and air surging were applied to a pumping well located in Jeungsan-ri, Changnyung-gun, to improve a well efficiency by removing clogging and fine-grained slime. Two experimental log-linear equations, $y_1=-0.1769\;ln(x_1)+0.4960$ and $y_2=-84.3358\;ln(x_2)+512.8162$, were proposed in this site, in which $x_1$ and $x_2$ are the number of surging event, $y_1$ is the amount of slime, and $y_2$ is a recovery time of groundwater level after air surging. Well loss exponent (P) decreased after surging, from 3.422 to 1.439, and the groundwater inflow from aquifer happened in all directions around a well with gradually increasing the homogeneity in a local aquifer's hydraulic property. It was revealed that long-term well development should be done in the pumping well which is located in unconsolidated sediments to increase a well productivity.

빗물펌프장에 설치된 인공습지의 비점오염원 저감효율 연구 (A Study of Non-point Source Reduction Efficiency by Constructed Wetland installed in Flood Pumping Station)

  • The aim of this study was evaluated the effects of total rainfall, rainfall intensity and antecedent dry days and identify the correlation analysis with the EMC removal efficiency, in order to provide an understanding of the operation and maintenance factors of constructed wetland in flood pumping station. This study was conducted total of 20 monitoring in a catchment(326.2 ha) of constructed wetland in Ga-un flood pumping station located at the downstream of the Wang-suk stream. The determined EMC removal efficiencies were $36.04{\pm}9.45%$ for BOD, $38.50{\pm}13.50%$ for $COD_{Mn}$, $34.34{\pm}13.05%$ for TN and $34.22{\pm}14.27%$ for TP, respectively. These results showed that the pollutants concentration and EMC were reduced while passing through the constructed wetland. In the correlation analysis, the highly correlations with EMC removal efficiency of BOD and $COD_{Mn}$ were observed for total rainfall and rainfall intensity (P<0.05). However, the correlations were not found with TN and TP for rainfall variables.

회전날개주위 분자천이유동에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A numerical study on the molecular transition flow for the rotating blades)

  • Pumping performances of a helical molecular drag dump(MDP) and of a radial MDPs are numerically analyzed by using the direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method. A helical- and radial-MDP have rotating pumping channels cut on a cylinder and on a disk, respectively. For a helical MDP, the present results agree quantitatively with the previously known numerical results. For radial MDPs, both of the Type 1 (having pumping channels cut on the stationary disk) and of the Type 2 (having pumping channels cut on the rotating disk) are analyzed to predict their performances for various parameters, i.e., the radius of curvature center of the channel wall, the depth of the channel, the clearance between housing and disk, and the rotating speed. The results show that the performance of the Type 2 is superior to that of the Type 1, and that for all types the pumping efficiency decreases as the clearance increases. Also, the radial type MDP has larger leakage losses in the direction of pumping channel than does the helical one.

DRAM 의 저전력 구현을 위한 안정한 기판전압 발생기 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the Design of a stable Substrate Bias Generator for Low power DRAM's)

  • This paper presents an efficient substrate-bias generator(SBG)for low-power, high-density DRAM's The proposed SBG can supply stable voltage with switching the supply voltage of driving circuit, and it can substitude the small capacitance for the large capacitance. The charge pumping circuit of the SBG suffere no VT loss and is to be applicable to low-voltage DRAM's. Also it can reduce the power consumption to make VBB because of it's high pumping efficiency. Using biasing voltage with positive temperature coefficient, VBB level detecting circuit can detect constant value of VBB against temperature variation. VBB level during VBB maintaining period varies 0.19% and the power dissipation during this period is 0.16mw. Charge pumping circuit can make VBB level up to -1.47V using VCC-1.5V, and do charge pumping operation one and half faster than the conventional ones. The temperature dependency of the VBB level detecting circuit is 0.34%. Therefore the proposed SBG is expected to supply a stable VBB with less power consumption when it is used in low power DRAM's.

  • This paper describes control of water pumping system using PV array. An integral part of the system with various system components be constructed PV array. maximum power point tracker BLDC motor and pump. BLDC motor has the quality of torque output and efficiency, has been more widely used in a field for multifarious application. However pumping system using PV array has limited for application because output characteristics of solar cell are greatly fluctuate on the variations of insolation, temperature and loads. For this reson, in this paper each parts efficiently contoroled by the maximum power point tracker, the vector control method of BLDC motor and the pressure PI controller using TMS320C- 31.

Multi-condition optimization and experimental verification of impeller for a marine centrifugal pump

  • In order to improve the performance of marine centrifugal pump, a centrifugal pump whose specific speed is 66.7 was selected for the research. Outlet diameter D2, outlet width b2, blade outlet angle β2, blade wrap φ and blade number z of the impeller were chosen as the variables. The maximum weighted average efficiency and the minimum vibration intensity at the base were calculated as objectives. Based on the Latin Hypercube method, the impeller was numerically optimized. The numerical results show that after optimization, the amplitudes of pressure fluctuation on the main frequency at different monitoring points decrease in varying degrees. The radial force on impeller decreases obviously under off-design flow rates and is more symmetrical during the operation of the pump. The variation of the axial force is relatively small, which has no obvious relationship with the rotating angle of the impeller. The energy performance and vibration experiment was performed for verifying. The test results show that the weighted average efficiency under 0.8Qd, 1.0Qd and 1.2Qd increases by 4.3% after optimization. The maximal vibration intensity at M1-M4 on the pump base reduced from 0.36 mm/s to 0.25 mm/s, decreasing by 30.5%. In addition, the vibration velocities of bracket in pump side and outlet flange also have significant reductions.

$Ar^+$ 레이저로 펌핑되는 Nd:glass 레이저의 발진특성 (Investigation on the lasing characteristics of an $Ar^+$ laser-pumped Nd:glass laser)

  • $Ar^{+}$레이저로 펌핑되는 Nd:glass레이저를 제작하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 레이저 공진기는 오목거울 두 개와 98% 고반사 평면경, 그리고 Brewster 각도로 놓인 Nd:glass 의 이득 매질로 구성되었으며, 효율적인 펌핑을 위해서 $Ar^{+}$레이저 광선을 공진기 길이 방향으로 입사하여 공진모우드의 beam waist에서 초점이 맺히도록 하였다. Nd:glass의 열존도도가 작아서 흡수된 펌핑빔에 의해 생성된 잔열로 인한 매질의 손상이 우려되기 때문에 mechanical chopper 로 펌핑빔을 100Hz로 끊어서 입사하여 잔열의 생성을 줄였다. 1.5W로 펌핑될 때 Nd:glass 레이저의 출력은 70mW이었고 발진이 되는 문턱에서의 펌핑파워는 520mW이었으며 slope efficiency는 7.4%이었다.

토양의 포화지대에 분포하는 고밀도비수상액체(DNAPL)와 저밀도비수상액체(LNAPL)의 펌핑 제거공정에 대한 모사 (Simulation for application of pumping-and-treatment system to the recovery of non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) at and below the water table)

  • 본 연구는 대표적인 지하수 오염물 제거공정 중 하나인 양수처리 시스템 pumping-and-Treatment System, PTS)에 대하여 실제에 가까운 불균일한 토양구조에서 모사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 즉, 지하의 불포화지대에 유출된 오염물로서 고밀도 비수상액체 (denser-than-water non-aqueous phase liquids, DNAPLs)와 저밀도 비수상액체 (lighter-than-water non-aqueous phase liquids, LNAPLs)가 지하수의 계면 및 그 아래에서 안정하게 분포하고 있을 때, PTS 공정의 모사를 통하여 그 타당성을 조사하였다. 이때 DNAPL과 LNAPL은 각각 1,1-dichloroacetone와 n-hexane로 가정하였다. 대상토양은 불균일한 토양층과 부분적인 지하수 흐름을 가지는 2차원 토양구조로 가정하였고, 포화지대에 1 개의 well을 설치하여 펌핑을 시작한 후 시간에 따른 지하수면의 변화와 오염물이 제거되는 정도를 계산하였다. 본 연구에서 SIMPLEC 알고리즘을 이용한 유한체적법에 의하여 비정상상태 모사를 수행한 결과, LNAPL뿐 아니라 DNAPL도 지하수면과 만나는 초기단계의 경우 즉시 지하수면 아래로 가라앉지 않고 지하수면을 따라 퍼지게 되므로 펌핑에 의한 제거가 가능한 것으로 판단되었다. 펌핑을 시작한 후 약 5일 동안은 DNAPL과 LNAPL의 경우 모두 두드러진 제거효과가 나타나지 않았으나, 일단 지하수면의 모양이 원뿔 모양으로 변형되고 나서 급속히 체거효율이 높아졌다. 특히 DNAPL의 경우 중력의 영향을 더 크게 받아서 well주위의 움푹 들어간 지하수면을 따라 이동하며 LNAPL보다 더 빠른 속도로 제거가 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 결과에 나타난 지하수면의 형태적 변화는 상대압력으로 -0.5기압이라는 비교적 큰 음압과, 1m의 비교적 큰 well의 지름을 가정하였기 때문에 다소 과장된 것으로 보인다. 그러나, 본 연구를 통하여 오염물의 물성에 따른 PTS공정의 효율을 비교할 수 있었고, 지하수면의 형태적 변화를 유발하여 정화효율을 증가시킬 수 있음을 제시하였다.

시멘트계 재료의 펌프압송성능 향상을 위한 윤활층 활성화제 주입 방법 제안 및 소규모 실험검증 (Proposal of A Method to Enhance Pumping Efficiency of Cementitious Materials by Injecting Activation Agent to Slip-Layer and its Lab-Scale Experimental Verification)

  • 이 연구에서는 시멘트계 재료의 펌프압송성능을 향상시키기 위하여 외부에서 소량의 윤활층 활성화제를 배관에 주입하는 방법을 제안하였다. 활성화제는 배관과 압송재료 사이에 형성되는 윤활층에 주입되어 윤활층의 점도, 즉, 배관과 재료 사이의 마찰을 감소시키는 역할을 한다. 제안된 방법의 검증을 위해 모르타르를 사용한 소규모 펌핑실험을 수행하였다. 물-시멘트 비 47%인 모르타르를 사용하였고, 윤활층 활성화제 종류와 활성화제의 주입량을 각각 2가지와 3가지로 달리하여 실험을 수행하였다. 윤활층 활성화제로는 고성능 감수제와 음이온 계면활성화제를 사용하였다. 윤활층 활성화제의 주입량은 모르타르 토출량의 0.14, 0.28, 0.42%이다. 윤활층 활성화제 주입 전과 후의 압축강도, 배관 내부 압력을 측정하였다. 음이온 계면활성제를 사용한 경우 압축강도의 변화가 없었으며, 배관 내부 압력 감소율이 최대 71.4%로 가장 크게 감소하는 것을 확인하였다.
