  • Since many blood pressure pulse analyzer made to measurement of a pulse wave in quantitative way has been started, some sorts of pressure sensors are being developed. The result could differ and this cause either type of sensor or module shape, when pulse wave is measured. In this paper, calculate and compare the pressure sensor's stress distribution according to thickness of PDMS coating and existence of guide through Finite Element Method. As a result, the center of pressure sensor's stress increase as much as 24% as it is reduced as much as 0.3 mm that the PDMS coating thichness of pulse diagnostic sensor module, on the other hand the surrouding censor of center sensor's stress is reduced as much as 4.9%, and transmissive proportion of stress is small as little as 2.7%, When coating has guide.

  • Agglomerated and nonagglomerated SiO2 particles are synthesized in furnace by the electrohydrodynamic spraying method and the vapor feeding method for the test particle generator this study. These polydispersed particles are classified with DMA to extract equal mobility particles. Then these particles are introduced into CNC (Condensation Nuclei Counter) to see the pulse height using Multi-channel Analyzer. The response characteristics of these two kinds of particles in CNCs (TSI CNC 3022 and 3025A) have been studied as a function of particle size using mono disperse particles classified by DMA. The results show that the higher drag resistance particles, so called agglomerated particles have generated a lower CNC pulse height than the spherical particles for these two different CNCs, which means the nonagglomerated particles may start to grow larger than the agglomerated particles.

  • The aim of the study is to develope the processing technique of PZT-Polymer piezoelectric composite materials for ultrasonic transducer application such as biomedical probe and hydrophone. Piezoelectric composite of PZT and polymer with 1-3 connectivity patterns have been fabricated by dicing-filling method and extrusion forming method. In this study processing forming method. In the study processing steps by extrusion forming method in the preperation of PZT/polymer piezoelectric composites are described. The PZT powder used in the study is commercial powder which is prepared by mixing PbO, TiO$_2$ and ZrO$_2$. The binder, water and plasticizer are mixed with the PZT powder to form a slip. It is necessary to adjust the viescosity of slip according on the PZT rod diameters to be extruded. The electromechanical properties of the piezoelectric composites are characterized in terms of the thickness resonance mode. The pulse response characteristics by the ultrasonic transducer analyzer and osciloscope are evaluated.

  • We report the characteristics and differences of two types of attenuation measurement methods for electromagnetic partial discharge signal in GIS. The pulse method is to measure the attenuated waveforms in time domain and coverts them into frequency domain to get the attenuation spectra of given GIS section. This method simulates the real partial discharge signal. The frequency swept continuous wave method can obtain attenuation spectra directly so that it gives attenuation with low noise floor and simplicity. We show that both methods are effective and exchangeable because the attenuation results measured by two methods have similar trends

  • Inthis apper wa analyzed the channel-hot-electron programming characteristics of the single-poly EEPROM with different control gate and drain structures. The single-poly EEPROM uses the p$^{+}$/n$^{+}$-diffusion in the n-well as a control gate instead of the second poly-silicon. The program and erase characteristics of the single-poly EEPROM were verified using the two-dimensional device simulator, MEDICI. The single-poly EEPROM was fabricated using 0.8$\mu$m ASIC CMOS process, and its CHE programming characteristics were measured using HP4155 parameteric analyzer and HP8110 pulse gnerator. Especially we investigated the CHE programming characteristics of the single-poly EEPROM with the p$^{+}$-diffusion or n$^{+}$-diffusion in the n-well as a control gate and the LDD or single-drain structure. The single-poly EEPROM with p$^{+}$-diffusion in the n-well as a control gate and single-drain structure was programmed to about VT$\thickapprox$5V with VDS=6V, VCG=12V(1ms pulse width).th).

  • A tiny dust found at the balcony of the Institute indicated about 8,0000 counts per minute by T.G.C.-2 Geiger-Muller tube (1.8mg/$cm^2$ window-thickness) at the distance of 2cm from the window. The main fission fragments, as identified by the present analysis, are 12.5day Ba-140 and 33.1 day Ce-141. The gamma energies were determined using $2"{\times}2"$ NaI(Tl) scintillation detector connected to RCL-256 channel pulse heigt analyzer. The beta energies were evaluated by Feather plot.

  • Laser-induced plume and laser-target interaction during pulsed laser deposition are demonstrated for a lead zirconate titanate (PZT). A KrF excimer laser (wavelength 248nm) was used and the laser was pulsed at 20Hz, with nominal pulse width of 20ns. The laser fluence was~$16J/cm^2,$ with 100mJ per pulse. The laser-induced plasma plume for nanosecond laser irradiation on PZT target has been investigated by optical emission spectra using an optical multichannel analyzer(OMA) and by direct observation of the plume using an ICCD high speed photography. OMA analysis showed two distinct ionic species with different expansion velocities of fast or slow according to their ionization states. The ion velocity of the front surface of the developing plume was about $10^7$cm/sec and corresponding kinetic energy was about 100eV. ICCD photograph showed another kind of even slower moving particles ejected from the target. These particles considered expelled molten parts of the target. SEM morphologies of the laser irradiated targets showed drastic melting and material removal by the laser pulse, and also showed the evidence of the molten particle ejection. The physics of the plasma(plume) formation and particle ejection has been discussed.

  • A short laser pulse irradiates a sample to create the highly energetic plasma that emits light of a specific wavelength peak according to the material. By identifying different peaks for the analyzed samples, its chemical composition can be rapidly determined. The LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) has great advantages as an elemental analyzer on board a space rover, namely real-time rapid analysis and stand-off detection. The LIBS signal intensity is remarkably increased by using double-pulse LIBS system for component analysis of lunar environments where the surrounding pressure is low. Also the angle of target is adjusted for replicating arbitrary shapes of the specimen.

  • This paper presents the design and implementation of circuit analyzer system for the convenient troubleshooting and diagnosis of the electronics appliance using the curve tracer technology of analog signature analysis. The circuit analyzer provides advanced troubleshooting capabilities to simplify testing newer technology components such as CMOS and MOS circuits, its built-in pulse generator lets thoroughly troubleshoot gate-fired devices such as SCRs, TRIACs and optocouplers. The circuit analyzer while the power to the circuitry testing is turned of, so that avoid an accidental short that could cause further damage, its allow to analyze the impedance state of a solid-state component, which makes it perfect for finding leakage or substrate damage that has brought a system or PCB down prematurely. Because it can compare suspect components to known-good equivalents, it's verified the ideal application for troubleshooting when documentation is missing or incomplete.

  • Objectives In this study, we developed a mock-up of the system for Sasang Constitutional (SC) diagnosis. This system consists of 5 devices which are the face analyzer, the voice analyzer, the skin analyzer, the pulse analyzer, and the computer-based questionnaire. Our goal is to evaluate the repeatability of the system. Methods Each device is capable of classifying SC types. The classification probability of the integrated system for the SC types was obtained by summing the probability from each device. For evaluating the repeatability of the system, we collected data for 5 subjects, and repeated the measurement three times for each individual. The average and standard deviation were used for calculating the Coefficient of Variation. Results The results showed that the repeatability of the classification probability of the integrated system is about 8%, which implies the system is repeatable. Conclusions To increase usability of this system, it is desirable for the system to offer information on health condition of the user. The integrated constitutional diagnosis system will be upgraded to complement the convenience and to develop the diagnostic algorithm for the user's health condition.
