This paper is studied the high-repetition rate optical-pulse stream generation using optical loop mirror coupler. With the recent development of the ultrahigh-speed optical time division multiplexed system, hish-repetition rate optical-pulse stream generation is necessary. This is different from conventional approaches, which use fiber or integrated waveguide delay line circuits. The high-repetition-rate optical-pulse multiplication phenomenon occurs when the optical pulse's spectral width is greater than the transfer bandwidth of the coupler used. From the analysis, the output repetition rate can be controlled by using fiber couplers with different equivalent transfer bandwidths. The pulse separation spacing is controlled by number of cascaded coupler in optical loop mirror coupler scheme.

This paper presents a pulse radar system to detect drones based on a target fluctuation model, specifically the Swerling target model. Because drones are small atypical objects and are mainly composed of non-conducting materials, their radar cross-section value is low and fluctuating. Therefore, determining the target fluctuation model and applying a proper integration method are important. The proposed system is herein experimentally verified and the results are discussed. A prototype design of the pulse radar system is based on radar equations. It adopts three different pulse modes and a coherent pulse integration to ensure a high signal-to-noise ratio. Outdoor measurements are performed with a prototype radar system to detect Doppler frequencies from both the drone frame and blades. The results indicate that the drone frame and blades are detected within an instrumental maximum range. Additionally, the results show that the drone's frame and blades are close to the Swerling 3 and 4 target models, respectively. By the analysis of the Swerling target models, proper integration methods for detecting drones are verified and can thus contribute to increasing in detectability.

We analysised the effect of harmonics on electric machines of substation power system barred on quantitatively measured harmonics and proposed the methods for prevention of harmonics through checking on transformer, rectifier and cable's capacities against harmonics with reference to KEPCO's electricity service standard. In order to analysis harmoninics of silicon rectifier that is power source in DC substation, computer simulations for a substation with TR of high voltage distribution switchboard are performed. Simulation results show that the total harmonic distortion factor becomes smaller for TR primary and receiving points in order rather than silicon rectifier which is harmonic generation source so that the harmonics generated frets each rectifier are outflowed to power supply and high voltage distribution switchboard The result of higher distortion factors of voltage and current for rectifier with 100% load than those with 50 % and 30% indicates that the waveform of voltage and current for the real substation power system at the office-going and the closing hours with heavy loads might be more distorted. As proposed methods for harmonic reduction, the conventional 6 pulse-type for substation is required to be replaced by 12 pulse-type for reduction of 5th and 7th harmonics. The active filter rather than the passive filter is more effective due to severe variance of rectifier loads, but the high cost is price to be paid. In view of installation area and costs, the use of 12 pulse-type transformer is desirable and then the parallel transformer and the rectifier within the substation must be replaced at the same time. Other substations with parallel feeder can use 6 pulse-type transformer.

In Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) experiments, to achieve long pulse and high-power ICRH system operation, a new kind of ICRH antenna has been designed. One of the most critical factors in limiting the operation of long pulse and high power is the intense heat load in the front face of the ICRH antenna, especially the Faraday Screen (FS). Therefore, the cooling channels of FS need to be designed. According to thermal-hydraulic analysis, the FS tubes are divided into several groups to achieve more excellent water cooling capability. The number of series and parallel tubes in one group is chosen as six. This antenna went into service in the spring of 2021, and it is delightful that the temperature distribution of the FS tube is below 400 ℃ in 14.5 s and 1.8 MW ICRH system operation. However, the active water-cooling design was not carried out on the upper and lower plates of FS, which led to severe ablations on that region under long pulse and high power operation, and the temperature is up to 800. Therefore, the upper and lower side plates of the FS were designed with water cooling based on thermal-hydraulic analysis. During the 2022 winter experiments, the temperature of ICRH antenna FS was lower than 400 in the pulse of 200s and the power of 1 MW operation.
The characteristics of voltage drop and THD for parallel operating 11 PCRs (Phase Controlled Rectifiers) are analysed. The PCRs are used to drive high current (1.6 kA ${\sim}$ 3.7 kADC) electromagnetic coils for electromagnets. All the PCRs operate simultaneously in pulsed mode, and the pulse shot occurs every 150 seconds. During the pulse operation the PCR output current ramps up for 4 seconds, and then keeps flat top state for 2 seconds, and finally ramps down for 4 seconds. For the flat top mode a severe voltage drop and distortion appear in the power system because transformers for the PCRs are designed considering pulsed mode operation. It is expected that the analysis method can be applied to improve the system performance including power factor and design of high power pulsed mode operating power supply systems.
The subject of this work is the complex discrete systems simulation special features with the aid of dynamic graph models. The proposed simulation technique allows to determine the ways for tasks solutions in terms of discrete systems analysis and synthesis of various complication: one-dimensional and multidimensional, steady and unstable, with the pulse elements abnormal operating mode and others. Often complex control systems analysis and synthesis task solutions, via classical approach comes out to be insolvent, because of the computational problems. The application of graph models allows to perform clear and strict characterization and computer procedures automation. The optimal controls synthesis algorithm presented in this paper, transferring the discrete system from target initial state to target final state within the minimum time, allows to consider the zero initial conditions systems, with the initial potential energy, with the control actions limitations and complex pulse elements operating mode.
In this paper an approach for the analysis of the transient field response of radially symmetric transducer due to a wideband ultrasonic pulse is presented, which is based on a development of Green's function and applies the linear system theory to obtain an analytic expression for the impulse response of an annulus with a planar or spherical geometry. For the focused annular array, the impulse responses of the indivisual annuli are convolved with the delayed excitation pulse, and then summed to obtain the resultant response of the array. This process is very effective in the study of the various focusing abilities of the annular array. For illustration, the field distribution of a five element annular array is treated in detail for several focusing system.
Solenoid operated electromagnetic control valve (ECV) using in an external variable displacement swash plate type compressor is widely used for air conditioning control system because of its low energy consumption and high efficient characteristics. ECV controls the entire vehicle air conditioning system by means of a pulse width modulation (PWM) system that supplied from an external controller. Different pressure ports located within ECV has important functions to control the air/refrigerant flow through its internal passages. The flow paths are preciously maintained with acceptable ranges of leakage (gap) between the parts inside it which is followed by effective design and critical dimensioning of its internal features. Therefore, it saves energy losses from the solenoid operation as well as ensures the balance of forces within it. The research paper highlights analysis of the leakages (at different pressure ports) and dimensioning tolerance factors that affects the ECV performance.
In this paper Kalman filtering technique is applied to ultrasound signal to improve resolution capability, Ivhlch is in use of diagnostic imaging systems. The main advantage of Kalman filter algorithm for the analysis of reflected ultrasound signal is its recursive structure which can be easily adapted to tlme varing system. Because soft-tissues, such as liver, act as distributed acoustic low-pass filters which continually change the propagating pulse. tIne can put to practical use above advantage to find a suitable signal generallng model. In state-space description of the system, the 6th order system produces tl)e 1)esc spectral approximation to the source pulse As a result of spectrum analysis, 6th order estimator for two closely spaced ((p.5 mm) reflectors enhances resolution by 4dB-lOdB. By using this result, the possibility to detect even minute tumor is demonstrated.
The possibility for the high intensity and energy possessing a short pulse in the HF chemical laser system which contained fluoride molecules (RF) was demonstrated theoretically through the numerical model simulation. The calculation was accomplished by assuming that the thermal branched chain mechanism of RF was occurred in the initiation step of $H_2+F_2$ chain reaction. Variations of the major chemicals and the temperature in the system were calculated as a function of time. An analysis was also performed to evaluate output pulse profile through parametric studies.
