We report a nickel optical MEMS switch, being able to rotate through a large angle and to accommodate multiple channels. The proposed optical switch consists of a thin nickel mirror and two torsion springs supporting the mirror. The torsion springs are designed using a finite element method (FEM) such that plastic deformation of the thin nickel is avoided during the large torsion actuation. For switching speed improvement, transient vibration of the released mirror is suppressed by optimizing the mirror design and a fast switching response of $200\;{\mu}s\;(pull-down)/300\;{\mu}s\;(pull-up)$ is demonstrated.

칼모둘린은 칼슘과 결합하는 센서로써 다양한 칼모둘린 결합 단백질들과의 상호 작용을 통하여 세포 내에서 여러가지 기능을 조절한다. 진핵 생물들은 많은 종류의 칼모둘린 결합 단백질을 가지고 있기 때문에 이러한 단백질들의 분리와 특성 규명이 중요하다. 이미 여러 가지 방법들을 이용하여 칼모둘린 결합 단백질들이 분리되었고 이미 알려진 단백질의 구조적인 유사성을 토대로 더 많은 단백질들이 예측되었다. 우리는 애기장대에서 칼모둘린 결합 단백질의 분리와 특성 규명을 위해 형광 단백질과 융합된 칼모둘린 과발현 형질 전환체를 제조하여 공촛점 현미경과 Western blot 을 이용하여 과발현 형질 전환체를 선별하였다. 또한 형질 전환체 내의 칼모둘린이 칼모둘린 결합 단백질과 상호 작용함을 pull-down 분석을 통해서 확인하였다. 이러한 결과들을 토대로 칼모둘린 과발현 형질 전환체를 이용하여, 칼모둘린과 상호 작용하는 여러 가지 칼모둘린 결합 단백질들을 분리할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This paper develops the dynamic equivalents program combined with graphic user interface(GUI), to solve the stability of large power system. The p개posed method is coherency-based dynamic equivalents for transient stability studies. The program also provides with pull-down menu and Hangout help information for users. The developed dynamic equivalents program is suitable for the transient stability studies of a large power system with lots of data. The dynamic equivalents demonstrated over the New England system with 39 buses and 10 generators.

A common problem for manufacturing industries, especially consumer goods industries, is how to establish standardized procedures for loading finished goods onto pallets or containers for subsequent storage and distribution. Utilizing previous research results on the palletizing problem, this paper develops micro-computer based programs which generate an optimum loading pattern leading to the minimum amount of unused pallet or container space. Development of pallet layout chart is also included in the computer programs. The results are displayed by computer-graphic. For the users who are unfamiliar with pallet loading problem and computer system, pull-down menu and user-computer interactive data input procedures are adopted.

In this paper, an operating system is designed for NC controllers. Host computer is the IBM-PC, and the controller panel is designed in graphics mode to look easily for users. Pull-down menu is selected, which is useful to minimize a mistake made by users, so users can use NC controller more effectively. Also, many functions are proposed, such as NC editor for programming the NC program directly, simulation function for testing editted NC program, and new key-pad that appropriates for the functions of OS.

The information with regard to the working rance of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition is managed as detabase system for turning operation. Date with regard to the working range of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition are stroed by the DBMS(Data Base Management System) and can be added, modified, deleted and retrieved. Data stored in database system are searched to select the most proper cutting tool and cutting condition with the input data fed from the design stage. The system developed in this work is operated by the pull down menu on the IBM PC/AT personal computer, or compatible series.

This paper presents the new algorithm for fault analysis and this algorithm obtains requisite term for fault analysis by the two-port network technique. Therefore, the fault calculation time is composed of only few fundamental arithmetic calculation. The graphic user environment for fault analysis is implemented in mouse-oriented user interface with window and pull-down menu. The result of the algorithm proved to be identical with the sample system in Ref.[8]. this package can be a useful tool for fault analysis.

CAM은 RAM이나 PLA 처럼 규칙적인 구조를 갖고 있으므로 CAM 자동설계 프로그램을 제작하기 용이하다. 본 프로그램은 CIF 형태로 그 결과가 출력되고 수정 작업이나 결과를 화면에 보기 위해 IBM/PC 상에서 디스플레이 프로그램을 개발하였다. CIF 파저는 YACC와 LEX로 제작하였고, 플롯팅을 위해서는 ROLAND XY 플롯터를 사용하였다. 위의 과정을 하나의 메뉴안에서 선택에 따라 수행하도록 Full-Down 메뉴를 사용하여 종합하였다.

The ubiquitous plasma membrane $Na^+/H^+$ exchanger 1 (NHE1) is rapidly activated in response to various extracellular stimuli and maintains normal cytoplasmic pH. Yeast two-hybrid screening was used in order to identify proteins interacting with NHE1 using its cytoplasmic domain as a bait from HeLa cDNA library. One of the interacting cDNA clones was human Lactate dehydrogenase B (LDHB). In vitro translated LDHB was pulled down together with GST-NHE1.cd protein in the GST pull down assay, confirming the interaction in vitro. LDHB antibody immunoprecipitated endogenous LDHB together with NHE1 from H9c2 cells, validating cellular interaction between NHE1 and LDHB. Subsequent analysis revealed that the overexpression of LDHB increased intracellular PH, implying opening of the NHE1 transporter. Moreover, overexpression of LDHB activated caspase 3 and induced cell death, consistent with the expected phenotype of hyper-activation of NHE1. Collectively, our data indicate that LDHB modulates NHE1 activity via physical interaction.
