$Fe_2O_3$가 첨가된 $Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ - $PbTiO_3$ - $PbZrO_3$ 세라믹의 바이몰프 액츄에이터를 이용한 에너지 하베스팅 (Energy Harvesting from the Bimorph Actuator using $Fe_2O_3$ Added $Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ - $PbTiO_3$ - $PbZrO_3$ Ceramics)

  • $Fe_2O_3$ added Pb$(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_3 $ (PNN-PT-PZ) ceramics were produced in order to use them as a bimoph acturator for energy harvesting. Especially, the 0.25 wt% $Fe_2O_3$ added 0.4PNN-0.357PT-0.243PZ, having the composition of morphotropic phase boundary, showed good piezoelectric properties of $d_{33}$ of 810 pC/N, $k_p$ of 77% and $Q_m$ of 55 along with a high Curie temperature of $210^{\circ}C$. A bimorph actuator, composed of the two piezoelectric layers bonded together with a phosphorous bronze layer as a central metallic electrode, was successfully fabricated. The bimorph actuator, vibrated with a 1.3 mm amplitude at 68 Hz, produced high electric power of approximately 60 mW.

Electrogeneration of Hypochlorite Ions using a Dimensionally Stable Anode-Type (Ti/PtPd(10%)Ox) Electrode

  • The study examined the electrogeneration of hypochlorite ions (ClO-) via electrolysis of aqueous NaCl solutions using a dimensionally stable anode-type (DSA-type) electrode based on platinum and palladium oxides supported on titanium mesh (Ti/PtPd(10%)Ox). The electrogenerated ClO- was quantified on the basis of the absorption band at 292 nm (Aλ = 292) of the UV-Vis spectrum. The effect of initial pH, concentration of NaCl, cell potential difference and electrolysis time were investigated in this study. The results showed that the electrolysis of aqueous NaCl solutions increases the solution pH up to high values (≥ 8.0) that favor the formation of ClO- over chlorine or hypochlorous acid. The hypochlorite concentration increases significantly at pH values > 7.0 and shows a linear trend with increasing NaCl concentration and with increasing cell potential difference. When the cell potential and NaCl concentration are held constant, the maximum hypochlorite value during electrolysis depends on both the cell potential and NaCl concentration. The Ti/PtPd(10%)Ox anode favors the production of hypochlorite ions, making this anode a promising material for use in electrochemical oxidation of wastewater via an indirect mechanism.

  • 전왜재질 0.9 PMN/0.1PT에 각각 조성비율이 1%, 2%, 3%의 La이 첨가된 3종류의 재질을 광섬유에 부착하여 광섬유 전왜변환기를 제작하였다. 실험결과 La 3% 첨가된 재질의 전왜계수가 3.38kHz에서 3.87*$10^{-16}$(m/V)$^{2}$로 가장 크다는 것을 알 수 있었으며 La을 첨가함으로 해서 이력이 줄어듬을 알 수 있었다. La 3%인 재질로 구현된 광섬유 전계센서의 최소감지전계는 2.08(V/m).root.Hz였으며 가변영역 40dB 이상에 걸쳐서 선형성이 우수하였다.

  • Ferroelectric random acess memories (FeRAMs) 재료로 주목받고 있는 강유전 물질은 이미 여러 해 전부터 많은 물질들에 대해 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 그 중 낮은 공정 온도를 가지며 큰 remanent polarization 값을 갖는 lead zirconium titanate (PZT) 박막에 대해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 Pt 기판위에 증착된 PZT 박막은 높은 피로 현상을 보이는 문제가 있다. 최근 Pulsed laser deposition이나 metal-organic vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE) 등의 방법에 의해 epitaxial substituted-$Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ (La, Nd) 박막에 대해 보고가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 높은 remanent polarization 값을 갖는 $(Bi,Ce)_4Ti_3O_{12}$ (BCT) 박막을 pulsed laser deposition 방법을 사용하여 증착하였다. 또한 Bismuth의 양을 변화시켜 Bismuth의 양에 따른 remanent polarization의 변화를 확인하여 보았다. 사용된 기판은 Pt/$TiO_2$/$SiO_2$/Si 기판을 사용하였다.

  • Pb(Mg /sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O₃-PbTiO₃ 계 완화형 강유전체에서 PbTiO₃ 첨가량 변화 및 온도 변화에 따른 상전이 거동을 초전특성 및 유전완화현상 고찰을 통해 고찰하였다. -40∼200℃의 상전이 온도범위에 걸쳐 초전 및 유전특성을 살펴보았으며 특히 Vogel-Fulcher 관계식에 의한 freezing temperature를 도출하였다. 이러한 모든 실험적 결과들로부터 기존에 제안되었던 Pb(Mg /sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O₃-PbTiO₃ 고용체 시스템에 대한 상평형도를 다소 수정하여 제안하였다.

  • In recent years, much attention has been paid to "Photocatalytic oxidation" as an alternative technique, where the pollutants are degraded by UV-irradiation in the presence of a semiconductor suspension such as titanium dioxide. $TiO_2$ is the most often used photocatalyst due to its considerable photocatalytic activity, high stability, non-environmental impact and low cost. 1n this research, the photocatalytic degradation of humic acid, acetaldehyde and methylene blue in $UV/TiO_2$ systems has been stydied. The effect of calcination temperature for manufacturing of $TiO_2$ photocatalysts and type of photocatalysts on photodegradation has been investigated. Photocatalysts with various metal ions(Mn, Fe, Cu and Pt) loading are tested to evaluate the effects of metal ions impurities on photodegradation. The photodegradation efficiency with $Pt-TiO_2$ or $Fe-TiO_2$ or $Cu-TiO_2$ is higher than Degussa P-25 powder. However, the photodegradation efficiency with $Mn-TiO_2$ is lower than Degussa P-25 powder. The photocatalytic properties of the nanocrystals were strongly dependent upon the crystallinity, particle size, standard reduction potential of various transition metal and electronegativity of various transition metal. As a result photocatalysts with various metal ion loading evaluated the effect of photodegradation.

수중 Trichloroethylenel의 광촉매 분해특성에 관한 연구 (Photocatalytic Degradation of Trichloroethylene in Aqueous Phase)

  • The photocatalytic degradation of trichloroethylene (TCE) in $TiO_2$ aqueous suspension has been studied. $TiO_2$ photocatalysts are prepared by a sol-gel method. The dominant anatase-structure on $TiO_2$ particles is observed after calcining the $TiO_2$ get at $500^{\circ}C$ for 1hr. The Langmuir-Hinshelwood model is applicable to describe the photodegradation, which indicates that adsorptionof the solute on the surface of $TiO_2$ particles plays an important role in photodegradation. Photocatalysts with various transition metals (Nd, Pd and Pt) loading are tested to evaluate the effect of transition metal impurities on photodegradation. The photodegradation efficiencies with $TiO_2$ including Pt, Pd and Nd are lower than pure $TiO_2$ powder. The effect of pH is investigated and the maximum photodegradation efficiency is obtained at pH 7. In addition, the intermediates such as dichloromethane, chloroform, and trichloroethane are detected during the photodegradation of TCE.

PMN-PT-BT 고용체의 합성반응기구 (Reaction Mechanism in the Formation of PMN-PT-BT Solid Solution)

  • Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-BaTiO3 solid solution was formed by mixed-oxide method. The phase during formation was analysed by XRD and formation mechanism was investigated. While heat-treating Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 composition, the first, Pb2Nb2O7 and Pb3Nb2O8 pyrochlore phases are formed, and finally Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 perovskite phase with containing Pb3Nb4O13 pyrochlore phase is obtained at 80$0^{\circ}C$. When Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 composition is modified with PbTiO3 which have strong ionic bonding and high tolerance factor, the amount of pyrochlore phase is decreased by increasing of stability in perovskite structure.

  • The ferroelectric properties of PZT(53/47) thin film was investigated by methoxy enthanol solution based on sol-gel method. The thickness of each layer by spincoating 0.25M sol at one time was $0.1{\mu}m$ and crack-free film was formed. $LaNiO_3/Si(100)$ electrode and $Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si(100)$ electrode was coated by PZT sol at several times. PZT orientation was confirmed as a method of XRD and coercive field(Ec) as well as remnant polarization(Pr) was investigated from hysterisis curve. As a result of XRD analysis, we can know that the orientation of on PZT/LNO/Si(100) is better than on $Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si(100)$. The remnant polarization(Pr) in LNO electrode was $87.5{\mu}C/cm^2$ and $39.8{\mu}C/cm^2$ in Pt. From this figures, it is investigated that the Pr in LNO electrode was better than in Pt.

  • x Pb($Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2}O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_30.05{\leq}x{\leq}0.25$) ternary compound ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were 1200-1270[$^{\circ}C$], 2 hour, respectively. Increasing the PSS contents, the transition temperatures were decreased. The relative dielectric constant and Curie temperature of the 0.25 PSS-0.25 PT-0.5 PZ specimens were 450, 220[$^{\circ}C$]. The Pyroelectric coefficient of the 0.25PSS-0.25PT-0.50 PZ specimen was $5.20{\times}10^4$[C$\textrm{cm}^2$K].
