노년기 사별 후 성장척도의 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of the Post-bereavement Growth Inventory in Later Life)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 노년기 사별 후 성장을 측정하기 위한 척도를 개발하고 척도의 타당도를 검증하는 것이다. 선행연구 및 기존 척도들을 참고로 문항을 개발하고, 전문가에 의한 내용타당도 검증, 예비조사를 거쳐 척도의 타당화를 실시하였다. 설문조사는 배우자 사별노인 308명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 요인타당도 검증을 위해 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석 결과, 최종적으로 24개의 문항이 결정되었으며, 사별 후 성장척도의 5요인 구조가 도출되었다. 둘째, 공인타당도 검증을 위해 비탄반응척도(HGRC: Hogan and Schmidt, 2001) 가운데 '개인적 성장'척도와의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과, 사별 후 성장과 HGRC 개인적 성장은 높은 상관관계에 있는 것으로 나타나, 공인타당도가 입증되었다. 셋째, 대비집단 타당도 검증을 위해 심리적 안녕감척도(PWB: Ryff and Keyes, 1995)와 슬픔극복척도(GRI: Remondet and Hansson, 1987)의 상 하위 30% 집단 간에 사별 후 성장점수의 차이를 비교한 결과, 모두 유의미한 차이가 제시되었다. 넷째, 사별 후 성장척도의 내적일치도는 .907(하위요인 .649~.856)으로 높은 수준으로 나타나, 본 척도의 신뢰성을 입증하였다. 마지막으로 인구사회학적 변수와 사별 후 성장과의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 특히 학력이 가장 강력한 예측요인임이 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 사별 후 성장척도의 타당도는 높은 것으로 결론지을 수 있다. 본 척도는 사회복지 및 임상분야 실천가들에게 사별자에 대한 성장지향적인 실천적 개입의 이론적 근거를 제시하고, 개입 시 활용가능한 객관적인 평가도구를 제공할 수 있다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

기호로서의 신체적 연기: 그것의 연극적 특성과 인지과학적 원리 (The Physical Acting as a Sign: Its Theatrical Features and Cognitive Science Principles.)

  • This essay studied the acting theories of Diderot, Delsarte, Meyerhold, and Artaud to know the historical formation of 'sign acting' and its theoretical and aesthetic appropriateness. The sign acting so far discussed shows the repetitive patterns of idea as follows. The sign acting (1) emphasizes the physical expression such as gesture and movement, (2) assumes that the physical expression functions as a sign evoking special emotion and thought, (3) thus recommends the imitation of the outer sign, (4) uses a tableau for the effective reception of outer sign, (5) aims for the spectator oriented aesthetics as it stresses the result of outer sign rather than the creative process of a role, (6) assumes that the emotional reaction or the intellectual understanding springs from the physical experience, (7) thus emphasizes the physical language rather than speech, (8) can attain the appropriateness of physical language by the recent theories of cognitive science. Besides having such commonness, the sign acting also reveals the individual differences. For instance, the intended sign for Diderot and Delsarte was the sign of emotion, for Meyerhold the stylized sign of circus and acrobatics, and for Artaud the spiritual sign. If Diderot and Meyerhold demands the cool consciousness for the correct sign acting, Artaud's sign acting tends to pursue the state of trance. And if Diderot, Delsarte, and Meyerhold think the sign acting on the level of sensory appeal, Artaud insists that the sign acting should dismantle the spectator's sense. As such the discussion of sign acting shows both recurrent ideas and new visions, forming an unity out of diversity. Perhaps the sign acting is a matter of practice before we consider it as a theory. It is not only supposed to have been existed practically since ancient theatre, but also used by actors consciously and unconsciously in expressing certain emotion and thought. We need to study the sign acting more academically, considering its long history and aesthetic potentials. In fact the sign acting has been an essential element of acting, in spite of bad reputation judging it as a banal and worn-out style. It is true that the sign acting, in the worst case, could produce a stereotypical expression. It was this aspect of sign acting that caused a fierce negative reaction of the realists who sought the natural expression based upon psychological truth. Of course the sign acting has a serious problem when it stays banal and artificial. But we need to see this issue from a different perspective. What is the natural expression of emotion? How is it free from the learned way of expression? In some respect, we use, in reality, a learned expression of emotion that could be accepted socially. For instance, when we attend a funeral, we use the outer sign of mourning gestures learned socially. If a semiotic expression pervades various aspects of our life, the acting, being the representation of life, seems not to be free from codified expression. The sign acting could be used consciously and unconsciously in all kinds of acting.

사이버 공간에서 사회적 실재감의 지각과 공격행동 (Perceptions of social presence and aggressive behavior in cyberspace)

  • 본 연구는 사이버 공간에서 자기 자신과 타인의 실재(實在)에 대한 지각을 높이는 방편으로써 사회적실재감((社會的 實在感)이 사이버 공격행동을 감소시킬 수 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 게임 "포트리스2 blue forever"에 실험자가 미리 게임방을 개설하고, 실험사실을 알지 못한 채 입장한 피험자 107명을 대상으로 현장실험을 실시하였다. 피험자는 미리 대기하고 있던 3명의 실험자들과 게임시작 전에 이루어지는 채팅을 통하여 사회적 실재감 수준을 조절한 '통제집단', '실험집단1', '실험집단2' 의 세 집단에 각기 할당되었다. 이후 게임 중 피험자의 언어적 공격행동과 캐릭터를 이용한 공격행동의 빈도를 관찰한 결과, 통제집단의 피험자들은 실험집단의 피험자들보다 유의하게 더 많은 언어적 공격행동과 캐릭터 공격행동을 보였다. 한편, 사회적 실재감의 획득 경로에 따른 차이를 알아보기 위해 실험집단1과 2를 비교한 결과 피험자의 말과 행동에 대한 반응만을 처치한 집단1의 피험자는 자기노출을 추가 처치한 실험집단2의 피험자보다 언어적 공격행동을 유의하게 더 많이 한 반면, 캐릭터 직접 공격행동에서는 두 집단 간 차이를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구는 실명제나 처벌을 강제하지 않고 사이버 공격행동을 줄일 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고, 사회적 실재감과 사이버 공격행동의 관계를 밝혔다는 의의가 있다.

고령운전자의 운전 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (Investigation of the Driving Characteristics of Elderly Drivers)

  • 최근 들어 고령운전자의 이동편의 및 안전증진을 위한 차량 및 도로시설의 운전환경개선에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 65세 이상 고령운전자의 특성을 설문조사를 통하여 분석하여, 일반운전자와 비교한 자기인식 및 운전특성의 차이점을 도출하고, 이를 바탕으로 개선방안을 제시하였다. 분석결과 고령운전자의 통행목적은 출퇴근 50%, 업무 33%로 나타나 자가운전을 하는 고령자의 경우 아직 경제활동을 하는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났고, 이는 일반운전자와 매우 유사하였다. 고령운전자는 차량선택 시 안전성을 가장 중시하였고, 일반운전자는 브랜드인지도를 더 중시하였다. 그리고 고령운전자는 운전경력이 일반운전자에 비해 상대적으로 오래되어 교통상황에 대한 기술적인 대처능력은 일반운전자와 큰 차이가 없지만, 신체적인 능력저하에 따른 차이, 즉 거리 감각이나 반응속도 등은 일반운전자와 비교하여 차이점을 인식하고 있고 이에 따른 심리적 불안감을 갖고 있다. 또한 고령운전자는 워크로드가 많은 도로환경에 대하여 심리적인 위축감을 크게 느끼는 것으로 파악되어, 향후 도로시설물에 대하여 시인성 향상을 포함한 개선을 통하여 안전한 도로환경을 구축하는 노력이 필요하다.

폐경기 경험에 관한 연구 : Q 방법론적 접근 (A Study on the Menopause Experience : A Q Methodological Approach)

  • This study was intended to provide women who are experiencing menopause with effective nursing care by exploring the menopause experience. The purpose of the research was to understand the subjective feelings of women about the question of what the menopause experience is. Q-Methodological method was used for that purpose. As the research method, Q-statements were collected preliminary to the study of through in -depth interviews and a literature review. For the study 34 Q-statements were selected. There were 21 women as subjects for the research. The 21 women sorted the 34 statements using the principle of Forced Normal Distribution. The principle of Forced Normal Distribution, which has nine scales to measure the individual opinions, was called Q-Factor Analysis by using PC Quanl Program to supply the material. As a result, there were four categories(self-com-passion type, self-regulation type, self-perception type, self-abandonment type) of special opinion about the menopause experience in these women. The first type was called Self-compassion This type' was associated with varying degrees of emotonal instability(psychological withdrawal). And type in menopause signifies loss of a socially valued status and may result in depressive symptoms. This type expresses the menopause experience as associated with negative reaction. The second type is called Self-regulation. This type overcomes the menopause experience more actively than the other types and do not express the menopause experience as one of suffering. This type make efforts by themselves to regulate the mono-pause experience. The third type is called Self-perception. This type perceives the experience of menopause which as typical menopausal syndrome (hot flashes and decreased vaginal lubrication, decreased estrogen producing atrophic changes of the labia and vaginal mucosa, making intercourse uncomfortable). The fourth type is called Self- abandonment. This type denies the experience of menopause. The meaning of menopausal experience is significantly related with a life accident or life load. Also, This type experiences pain in the musculoskeletal system. As a result, The meaning of the menopausal experience is affected by perceived subjective experience of the nurses, the need to understand each persons meaning of the menopause experience and to develop appropriate nursing interventions based on the typology of menopause experience. Finally. The result of the study will provide basic data for nursing intervention the menopausal women.

  • 모든 인간은 다른 사람과의 관계를 떠나서는 존재할 수 없다. 한 개인에 있어서 생존하기 위하여는 신체적 또는 정신적인 힘이 필요하며, 대인관계에서도 힘이 작용한다. 한 개인에 있어서나 대인관계에 있어서 자신의 생존에 효과적으로 작용하는 힘을 긍정적인 힘(positive power)'이라고 하고, 자신의 생존에 부정적으로 작용하는 힘을 '부정적인 힘(negative power)'이라고 정의할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 '긍정적인 힘' 중에서 '신뢰'에 대하여 고전들에서 어떠한 교훈이 있나를 살펴보고, 이를 일상생활에서의 중요성과 함께 통괄시켜 보았다. 대인관계에서 '서로 믿을 수 있는 태도'를 갖추기 위하여는 '말'을 조심스럽게 한다는 것이 필수적인 조건이며, 이것은 자신의 생각이나 감정에 대한 깊은 성찰을 통하여 가능해진다. 또한 성찰은 고전에 기술된 교훈을 통하여 이루어질 수 있다.

Discriminative validity of the timed up and go test for community ambulation in persons with chronic stroke

  • Objective: The timed up and go (TUG) test is method used to determine the functional mobility of persons with stroke. Its reliability, validity, reaction rate, fall prediction, and psychological characteristics concerning ambulation ability have been validated. However, the relationship between TUG performance and community ambulation ability is unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the TUG performance time could indicate community ambulation levels (CAL) differentially in persons with chronic stroke. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: Eighty-seven stroke patients had participated in this study. Based on the self-reporting survey results on the difficulties experienced when walking outdoors, the subjects were divided into the independent community ambulation (ICA) group (n=35) and the dependent community ambulation group (n=52). Based on the area under the curve (AUC), the discrimination validity of the TUG performance time was calculated for classifying CAL. The Binomial Logistic Regression Model was utilized to produce the likelihood ratio of selected TUG cut-off values for the distinguishing of community ambulation ability. Results: The selected TUG cut-off values and the area under the curve were <14.87 seconds (AUC=0.871, 95% confidence interval=0.797-0.945), representing a mid-level accuracy. Concerning the likelihood ratio of the selected TUG cut-off value, it was found that the group with TUG performance times shorter than 14.87 seconds showed a 2.889 times higher probability of ICA than those with a TUG score of 14.87 seconds or longer (p<0.05). Conclusions: The TUG can be viewed as an assessment tool that is capable of classifying CAL.

사용자 감정 예측을 통한 상황인지 추천시스템의 개선 (Improvement of a Context-aware Recommender System through User's Emotional State Prediction)

  • This study proposes a novel context-aware recommender system, which is designed to recommend the items according to the customer's responses to the previously recommended item. In specific, our proposed system predicts the user's emotional state from his or her responses (such as facial expressions and movements) to the previous recommended item, and then it recommends the items that are similar to the previous one when his or her emotional state is estimated as positive. If the customer's emotional state on the previously recommended item is regarded as negative, the system recommends the items that have characteristics opposite to the previous item. Our proposed system consists of two sub modules-(1) emotion prediction module, and (2) responsive recommendation module. Emotion prediction module contains the emotion prediction model that predicts a customer's arousal level-a physiological and psychological state of being awake or reactive to stimuli-using the customer's reaction data including facial expressions and body movements, which can be measured using Microsoft's Kinect Sensor. Responsive recommendation module generates a recommendation list by using the results from the first module-emotion prediction module. If a customer shows a high level of arousal on the previously recommended item, the module recommends the items that are most similar to the previous item. Otherwise, it recommends the items that are most dissimilar to the previous one. In order to validate the performance and usefulness of the proposed recommender system, we conducted empirical validation. In total, 30 undergraduate students participated in the experiment. We used 100 trailers of Korean movies that had been released from 2009 to 2012 as the items for recommendation. For the experiment, we manually constructed Korean movie trailer DB which contains the fields such as release date, genre, director, writer, and actors. In order to check if the recommendation using customers' responses outperforms the recommendation using their demographic information, we compared them. The performance of the recommendation was measured using two metrics-satisfaction and arousal levels. Experimental results showed that the recommendation using customers' responses (i.e. our proposed system) outperformed the recommendation using their demographic information with statistical significance.

  • 소비자가 제품을 대할때의 감정은 제각기 다르게 평가되어 나타난다. 즉, '무엇인가 재미있는 기능이 있을 것 같다', '직접 만져보고 촉감을 느끼고 싶다' 등 구매를 결정하는 다양한 동기가 존재한다. 이와같은 동기를 유발시키는 제품 이미지는 어떻게 '은유(metaphor)'되고 평가되어 인간의 'Mental Image'에 존재하는가? 본 연구에서는 이러한 측면에 문제의식을 제기하여 제품에 대한 '연상 이미지', '제품요소의 특징적 위치' 및 '제품평가' 등을 주요 골자로 하여 고찰을 실시하였다. 명쾌한 결론 도출을 위해 먼저 3개의 가설(hypothesis)을 설정하고, 이를 검증(verification)하기 위하여 종결적 조사(conclusive research)의 일환으로 사례연구를 실시하였다. 수집된 데이터는 단순집계(simple tabulation)에 의하여 전체적인 흐름을 파악하였고, 이를 토대로 3개의 조사항목에 대한 구체적인 분석을 실시하였다. 분석방법은 소비자의 심리적인 측면을 고려하여 정량적 분석(quantitative analysis)에 중점을 두었다. 그 결과 'Mental Image의 평가를 위한 추론'에 관해 중요한 3가지 결론을 얻었다.

도로경관의 시각적 특성 및 선호도에 관한 연구 -청주시 주진입로를 대상으로- (A Study on the Visual Character and Preference of Roadscape -In Case of the Main Entrance Road in Chongju-)

  • The purpose of this study was to figure out visual character and preference of roadscape for the main entrance road in Chongju. We took 9.6km which was from the Chongju interchange of Kyungbu expressway to Sangdang park and was thought to have a peculiar characteristics. This main entrance road was seperated into 4 parts according to arranging patterns of roadside trees and buildings. To investigate the visual characters, the sementic differential scale experiment was used. The visual characters, the sementic differential scale experiment was used. The visual preference was examined by analyzing visual volume of 4 factors. The results of the study based on these analyses were as below : 1. Factors that compose the visual characters of roadscape were classified by the emotional factor, the individual factor and the physical factor. These 3 factors showed a64.14% total variance. Among 3 factors the emotional factor which represented psychological reaction was appreciated to be the highest and the physical factor was assessed to be the lowest. 2. 24 items in total 14 adjectives showed the following ranking of mean values in sementic differential experiment : Road I -->RoadIII-->RoadII-->RoadIV. The mean values between Road I and RoadIV showed a significant difference, which can be explained to be a contrast between the natural factor and the artificial factor. 3. The mean value of the visual preference was the highest at Road I and the lowest at Road IV. While Road II and Road III showed 3.51 and 4.71, respectively. 4. The effect of 4 factors on visual preference was analyzed by regression as follows : Visual preference =1.2983+0.0627 + 0.0230+0.0203, R-Square=0.5
