The Effects of the Exercise Commitment of University Water Sport Participants on Leisure Satisfaction.

  • Purpose: With an increase of concerns towards leisure activities, water sport participation is constantly increasing. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of exercise commitment on leisure satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology: To accomplish the purpose, the study collected data from undergraduate students who participated water sports class in University. The sample was extracted by purposive sampling of nonprobability sampling. 281 students participated in the survey. Data were computed via correlation test, factor analysis, Cronbach's α test, one way ANOVA, and regression. Significance of all results was set to p<.05. Results: The results are like below. Frist, in terms of differences by demographics, the results indicated that significant difference between exercise commitment and leisure satisfaction by gender was shown only in psychological factor in leisure satisfaction. Second, in terms of the relationship between commitment and satisfaction, the findings pointed out that significant difference between exercise commitment and leisure satisfaction by grade was observed only in leisure satisfaction, especially on the educational part. Third, the study revealed that no significant difference by participation level was shown. Conclusions: In conclusion, the study posits that exercise commitment play a function in increasing the leisure satisfaction. Further implications were discussed.

A Study on the Factors Influencing the Performance of FinTech Platform (핀테크 플랫폼의 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • In recent years, as IT technologies such as cloud computing and mobile payment have evolved and Internet users have increased, the Internet financial market has become intelligent, mobile, and platformed. This study considers the impact of the psychological characteristics of platform systems and users on the performance of fintech platforms. The results of this study are as follows. Information quality affected trust and commitment, service quality affected commitment only, and system quality affected trust and commitment. The perceived risk affected trust and commitment, and the perceived benefit only affected trust and was shown to have an insignificant relationship with immersion. Trust has been shown to have a significant relationship with commitment, and both trust and commitment affected performance. In the validation of mediation effects, trust has shown a partially mediated effect between information quality, system quality, perceived risks, and perceived benefits and performance. There was no mediation effect between service quality and performance. Immersion has been shown to have a partial mediating effect between information quality, service quality, system quality, perceived risk and performance, and there is no mediating effect between perceived benefits and performance. This study showed what are the main factors that affect the performance of the fintech platform and will be used as a useful foundation for increasing the performance of the platform in the future.

Influence of Telecommuting due to Covid-19 on Psychological State : Moderating Effect of LMX and Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction (코로나19로 인한 재택근무가 사회적 소외감 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 : LMX의 조절효과 및 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • Telecommuting is rapidly spreading because of the prevalence of Covid-19 but the research on the psychological characteristics of telecommuters and their attitudes(organizational commitment, job satisfaction, etc.) in the workplace is not abundant. We would like to verify whether the number of telecommuting affects social alienation and whether LMX moderates this relationship. Further, the alienation affects, in turn, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. A survey of 317 male and female workers aged 18 or older who are currently experiencing telework was conducted. The results are as follows. Firstlty, we confirmed that the number of telecommuting has a significant impact on social alienation and that LMX moderates this relationship. Secondly, we found that social alienation affects organizational commitment and that job satisfaction showed a mediating effect between social alienation and organizational commitment. Implications and limitations are discussed.

Explicating Moderating Effects of Conflict in the Psychological Mechanism in IT Service Engagement (IT 서비스 상황에서의 심리적 기제 : 갈등, 만족, 신뢰 그리고 몰입)

  • In IT service quality research, the relationship between the service quality and clients' satisfaction was the focus of many studies while in relationship quality research, the influence of trust and conflict on relationship commitment seems to be the focus. In this study, these two research streams are integrated and a theoretical research model is proposed consisting of IT service quality, satisfaction, trust and relationship commitment with conflict as a moderator for the overall psychological mechanism. As satisfaction represents emotional response while trust cognitive response, this research model integrated both emotional and cognitive aspects of relationship maintenance in the IT service context. Analysis of data collected from 262 employees of global IT service firm revealed the differential effects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy on satisfaction and trust. Also, depending upon the level of conflict, the effects of reliability and assurance were found to be moderated. Further analysis revealed more profound mechanism at work relating emotional and cognitive aspects in the psychology of relationship maintenance in IT service context. Practical implications are further discussed in the conclusion.

Socio-Organizational Variables Related to Teachers' Organizational Commitment (유아교사의 조직헌신성과 관련된 사회 조직적 변인에 관한 연구)

  • The present study investigated socio-organizational variables which influence teachers' commitment to the organization. Subjects were 254 teachers of private kindergartens in Kimhae, Kyungnam-do, and Tongrae-gu and Kangseo-gu in Pusan. The instrument was a questionnaire developed by Rosenholtz(1991), originally developed for the study of the teachers' work place (the social organization of elementary schools) and revised here for Korean early education. The data were analyzed by ANCOVA. Results revealed that the most important variable influencing teachers' organizational commitment is teachers' job certainty, next is teachers' learning opportunities; other variables are teachers' career, psychological rewards, and task autonomy and discretion.

The Relationship Between, Situational Factors, Psychological Empowerment and Employee's Attitudes (조직상황 특성, 심리적 임파워먼트 및 구성원 태도간의 관계)

  • To date, the majority of research on empowerment has focussed on the individual job incumbent's psychological experience of empowerment and linking this with various work-related outcomes. However, a model that focuses on individual subjective reactions is at best incomplete if it does not include an examination of the contextual factors that shape those perceptions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among situational factors, psychological empowerment and employee's attitudes. The data were collected by questionnaire from a sample of 525 employees who were working at business organizations in Kangwon area. Results indicated that organizational characteristics such as access to information, LMX, and participative climate were positively related to an employee's psychological empowerment. Psychological empowerment was positively related to an employee's job attitudes such as organizational commitment and innovative behavior. Finally, theoretical and practical implications from the results were discussed.

The Effects of Perceived Consumption Value on Brand Identification, Emotional Commitment and Behavioral Commitment (지각된 소비가치가 브랜드 동일시, 감정몰입 및 행동몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify consumers' perceived consumption values and to examine the causal relationship between perceived consumption values, brand identification, emotional Absorption and behavioral commitment. Undergraduate students(N=210) were participated in the survey and the structural equation modeling was utilized for data analysis. The results of this study show that; first, psychological value and personality value have positive effects on brand identification but there was no significant relationship between functional value and brand identification; second, brand identification have positive effects on emotional commitment and behavioral commitment; third, the relationship between emotional commitment and behavioral commitment was not significant; fourth, the effect of psychological value on brand identification was higher than the effect of personality value on brand identification. Based on these results, several recommendations for company are discussed and future research directions are outlined.

Social-Cognitive Model of Social Justice Interest and Commitment: for Korean College Students (사회 인지 관점에 따른 사회 정의 관심과 실천 모형의 검증: 국내 대학생을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate psychological processes based on the Korean college students' development of social justice interest and commitment. For this study, we replicated Miller and colleagues'(2009) study, which explained the development of social justice interest and commitment by social-cognitive career theory(SCCT). Social desirability was controlled, and then self-reports data from 343 college students were analyzed using Structural Estimate Modeling(SEM). As a result, the final research model that social justice self-efficacy and outcome expectations affect social justice interest and commitment was proven valid for Korean college students. Also, in comparison with the direct effects model(social supports and barriers affect directly on commitment), the indirect effects model(social supports and barriers affect indirectly on commitment through self-efficacy) was supported. As an unique path of social-justice domain, the indirect effect by social support on commitment through outcome expectation was proved, as well. This study covers measurement limitations, future directions for research, and some lessons points with regards to how Korean college students to have social justice interest and commitment.

A Study on Causal Factors of Organizational Commitment of Public Servants in Urban Health Centers: Testing a Hypothetical Canusal Model (도시보건소 공무원의 조직몰입도 인과요인에 관한 연구 - 한 가설적 인과모형분석을 통해 -)

  • To find causal factors and improvement plans of organizational commitment of public servants in urban health centers, a hypothetical causal model, which included 2 endogenous variables(organizational commitment & organizational satisfaction) and 15 exogenous variables, was constructed. Exogenous variables consisted of individual factors (sex, age, education, job-grade, and annual salary), psychological variables(pride for organization, extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation and support of supervisor) ad structural variables(formalization, centralization, communication, job-conflict, job-decision, and workload). In the hypothetical causal model, organizational commitment was supposed to be effect variable, and organizational satisfaction was presumed to be intervening variable to mediate between organizational commitment and exogenous variables. For data collection, cross-sectional self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted to 1,295 public servants from 32 urban health centers nationwide. The survey responses were from 934, 72.1% of subjects. But 756 responses(58.4%) were analyzed because of excluding ones with missing values. The hypothetical causal model was fitted by covariance structural analysis with maximum likelihood method. Main results were as follows: (1) The fitted causal model accounted for 33 and 55 percent of total variance of organizational commitment and organizational satisfaction of public servants, respectively. (2) In order of effect size, pride for organization, supervisor support, communication, extrinsic motivation and centralization had an indirect effect effect on organizational commitment through organizational satisfaction. However, the effect of centralization was negative. (3) Pride for organiztion, intrinsic motivation, organizational satisfaction, job-conflict, supervisor support, communication, age, centralization, annual salar and extrinsic motivation had indirect or direct effects on organizational commitment in order of effect size. Among them, effects of job-conflict and centraldization were negative. In conclusion, these results suggested that organizational commitment of public servants in urban health centers could be enhanced by pride for organization, intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, prevention of job-conflict and excess centralization, supervisor support and active communication. Especially, pride for organization and intrinsic motivation were expected to play the most important role.

The Relationship of Fitness Participation on Exercise Enthusiasm, Exercise Commitment and Exercise Satisfaction by Female Fitness Participants (여성 피트니스 참여자의 운동열정과 운동몰입 및 운동만족과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how the fitness participation was influenced on exercise enthusiasm, exercise commitment and exercise satisfaction by female fitness participants, Subjects were selected among the female fitness center users living in Sunchon, Yeosu, Gwangyang. A total of 223 questionnaires were used in the actual analysis via convenience sampling method out of 250 questionnaires. Data analysis wad processed by SPSS 25.0 program with frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis and the following results were made. First, as a result of analyzing the effects of exercise enthusiasm on exercise commitment, it was found that harmony enthusiasm had positive (+) influence on cognitive commitment and behavioral commitment. Second, as a result of analyzing the effects of exercise enthusiasm on exercise satisfaction, it was found that harmony enthusiasm had positive (+) influence on exercise ability improvement, social relationship promotion and psychological benefits, and harmony enthusiasm and compulsive enthusiasm had positive (+) influence on physical function improvement. Third, as a result of analyzing the effects of commitment on exercise satisfaction, it was found that behavioral commitment had positive (+) influence on exercise ability improvement, physical function improvement and social relationship promotion and harmony enthusiasm and compulsive enthusiasm had positive(+) influence on psychological benefits.
