Objective The object of this case report is to evaluate the possibility of utilizing Osuyu-tang as a new therapy of psoriasis.Method Diagnosis and Psoriasis' progress was evaluated based on the patient's chart and picture. Diagnosis based on Sanghanlun was organized by graph. The severity of psoriasis' progress was evaluated by Psoriasis Area Severity Index(PASI) and visually analyzed through picture.Results On PASI and picture, we could confirm psoriasis’s area was decreased from hairline to middle of forehead and redness, thickness, scale of psoriasis also got better.Conclusion Osuyu-tang is efficient to patient of this case report as a treatment.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to report the effect of Traditional Korean Medicine Including SaengRyoSaMultang-Gamibang and Hwangryunhaedok-tang Herbal-Acupuncture on the treatment of psoriasis. Methods : A patient with psoriasis was treated with SaengRyoSaMultang-Gamibang, Hwangryunhaedok-tang Herbal-Acupuncture, Aroma therapy, Acupuncture. The severity of psoriasis was assessed with Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results : After treatment, the patient showed that itching symptoms was disappeared and score of PASI changed from 23.4 to 2.9. Conclusions : According to the result, These findings suggest that Traditional Korean Medicine can be effective for the treatment of psoriasis.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to present two case reports on the treatments of psoriasis who has functional gastrointestinal disorder.Methods : We administered herbal medicine to two patients who showed psoriasis with functional gastrointestinal disorder and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI).Results : After the treatment two patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 8.8 to 0.8; patient 2 from 7.0 to 0.2Conclusions : The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for psoriasis who has functional gastrointestinal disorder.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to present 3 cases reports of psoriasis treated by Damwi-hwan - focused on lipid metabolic abnomarilty. Methods : We administered Damwi-hwan to three patients who showed psoriasis with lipid metabolic abnormality and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results : After the treatment three patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 15.4 to 0.4; patient 2 from 32.7 to 1.2 ; patient 3 from 7.6 to 0.6. Conclusions : The results suggest that Damwi-hwan can be an effective treatment for psoriasis who has lipid metabolic abnormality.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean Medicine on erythrodermic psoriasis. Methods : We administered herbal medicine to three patients who showed psoriasis. There were no other treatment except herbal medicine. And we evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results : After the treatment three patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 26.2 to 0.3 after 149 days; patient 2 from 40.5 to 5.8 after 106 days; patient 3 from 31.6 to 0 after 294 days. Conclusions : The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for erythrodermic psoriasis patients.

Methods: We administered herbal medicine to two patients who showed psoriasis with overwork and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results: After the treatment two patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 11 to 1.6; patient 2 from 10.8 to 1. Conclusions: The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for psoriasis who has overwork.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to present four case reports on the treatments of psoriasis initiated after acute tonsillitis. Methods: We administered herbal medicine to four patients who showed psoriasis symptoms after acute tonsillitis and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results: After the treatment all four patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 27.7 to 1.8; patient 2 from 19.8 to 0.4; patient 3 from 28.8 to 0; patient 4 from 6.9 to 0. Conclusions: The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for psoriasis of which the occurrence is related to acute tonsillitis.

Methods: We administered herbal medicine to three patients who showed psoriasis with exudation and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results: After the treatment three patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 18.0 to 0.9; patient 2 from 11.6 to 0.8; patient 3 from 12.0 to 0.4. Conclusions: The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for psoriasis with exudation.

Objectives: This study aimed to report the efficacy of Korean medicine with Jeongri-tang Gagam-bang for treating psoriasis. Methods: A patient with psoriasis was treated with Jeongri-tang Gagam-bang (正理湯加減方). Moreover, acupuncture was performed on CV12 (中脘) and both sides of ST25 (天樞), GV20 (百會), LI4 (合谷), and LR3 (太衝) for 15 minutes. Psoriasis severity was assessed using the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI). Pruritis and dyspepsia intensities were ranked on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) of 0–10. Results: After treatment, the PASI changed from 21.6 to 1.6. Patient's pruritus had almost disappeared and dyspepsia had improved. Conclusions: This study shows that Jeongri-tang Gagam-bang (正理湯加減方) and acupuncture on CV12 (中脘), ST25 (天樞), GV20 (百會), LI4 (合谷), and LR3 (太衝) might be helpful to treat psoriasis symptoms by improving digestive function.

Objects : The purpose of this case study is to report the effect of Su-Gi therapy with Oriental medical treatments on systemic psoriasis. Methods : The subject is a patient with systemic psoriasis. This patient was treated with Oriental medical treatments and Su-Gi therapy. The improvement of the skin condition is observed by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) score. Results : After the treatment, the symptoms of psoriasis were relieved. PASI score of this patient went down from 39.6 to 12.5. Conclusions : This study showed that Su-Gi therapy added with Oriental medical treatment can be an effective choice for systemic psoriasis.
