교류 발전기 고정자 사고 검출을 위한 최적 마더 웨이브릿의 선정 (A Selection of an Optimal Mother Wavelet for Stator Fault Detection of AC Generator)

  • For stator winding protection of AC generator, KCL(Kirchhoff's Current Law) is widely applied. Actually a CRDR(Current Ratio Differential Relay) based on DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) has been used for protecting generator. It has been pointed out that defects can occur during the process of transforming a time domain signal into a frequency domain one which can lead to loss of time domain information. Wavelets techniques are proposed for the analysis of power system transients. This paper introduces an algorithm to choose a suitable Mother Wave1et for generator stator fault detection. For optimal selection, we analyzed db(Daubechies), sym(Symlets), and coif(Coiflects) of Mother Wavelet. And we compared with performance of the choice algorithm using detail coefficients energy and RMS(root mean square) error. It can be improved the reliability of the conventional DFT based CRDR. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme is proved with simulation using collected data obtained from ATP (Alternative Transient Program) package.

  • This Paper presents circuit improvement of 345kV Bus bar protection panel by using VDD (Voltage disturbance detection) relay with distinctive ability between human error in the field test and real facility faults. Therefore, We expect that this improvement of circuit helps decrease of blackout coming from human error. 과전류 보호계전기용 광섬유 전류센서 (Fiber-Optic Current Transformer for the Over Current Protection Relay)

  • 과전류 보호계전기에 사용할 목적으로 광섬유를 센서헤드로 사용하는 광 전류센서를 구성하였다. 전류측정의 원리는 도체 주변에 감겨진 광섬유 코일을 따라 광신호의 선형편광축이 자기장에 의하여 회전하는 정도를 측정하여 이로부터 전류의 값을 산출하는 편광측정 방법이 사용되었다. 센서코일은 $10/125{\mu}m$ 규격의 일반 통신용 광섬유를 미터당 20회전 이상 비틀어 제작하여 온도나 진동 등의 환경적 영향을 최소화하였다. 코일의 한쪽 끝은 Faraday Rotator Mirror를 장착한 반사형으로 설계하여 계통을 해체하지 않은 상태에서도 센서의 탈 부착이 가능하고 코일의 회전수에 따라 센서의 민감도 조절이 용이하며 폐회로형 구조이므로 인근 신호원에 의한 간섭을 차단할 수 있다. 편광 빛가르개 등을 이용한 광학 신호처리부를 구성하고 표준 전류원을 이용한 전류측정 실험을 수행한 결과로 이론적인 해석과 동일한 형태의 출력을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 구성한 광 전류센서의 이론적 모델을 기술하고 전류측정 실험의 결과와 이론치에 대하여 비교 분석한다.

  • Power system fault analysis has been based on symmetrical component method, which describes power system elements by positive, negative and zero sequence impedance. Obtaining accurate line impedances as possible are very important for estimating fault current magnitude and setting distance relay accurately. Especially, accurate calculation of zero sequence impedance is important because most of transmission line faults are line-to-ground faults, not balanced three-phase fault. Since KEPCO has started measuring of transmission line impedance at 2005, it has been revealed that the measured and calculated line impedances are well agreed within reasonable accuracy. In case of underground transmission lines, however, large discrepancies in zero sequence impedance were observed occasionally. Since zero sequence impedance is an important input data for distance relay to locate faulted point correctly, it is urgently required to analyze, detect and consider countermeasures to the source of these discrepancies. In this paper, development of pre/post processor to ATP (Alternative Transient Program) version of EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transient Program) for sequence impedance calculation was described. With the developed processor ATP-cable, effects of ground resistance and ECC (Earth Continuity Conductor) on sequence impedance were analyzed.

  • The COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) EPS(Electrical Power Subsystem) is derived from an enhanced Eurostar 3000 EPS which is fully autonomous operation in normal conditions or in the event of a failure and provides a high level of reconfiguration capability and flexibility. This paper introduces the COMS EPS preliminary design result. The COMS EPS consists of a battery, a solar array wing, a PSR(Power Supply Regulator), a PRU(Pyrotechnic Unit), a SADM(Solar Array Drive Mechanism) and relay and fuse brackets. This can offer a bus power capability of 3 kW. The solar array is made of a deployable wing with two panels. One type of solar cells is selected as GaAs/Ge triple junction cells. Li-ion battery is base lined with ten series cell module of five cells in parallel. PSR associated with battery and solar array generates a power bus fully regulated 50 V. Power bus is centralised protection and distribution by relay and fuse brackets. PRU provides power for firing actuators devices. The solar array wing is routed by the SADM under control of the AOCS(Attitude Orbit Control Subsystem). The control and monitoring of the EPS especially of the battery, is performed by the PSR in combination with on-board software.

  • 미리 설정된 연계성이 없는 차량들 사이에 무선통신을 이용하여 긴급정지, 차량사고, 장애물 출현 등의 차량안전과 관련이 있는 정보를 주고받을 수 있는 지능적 차량안전 시스템을 구성될 수 있다 대부분의 차량안전 통신 응용 시스템에서 차량안전 메시지는 브로드캐스트의 형태로 전파된다. 이러한 브로드캐스트 형 전파방법은 다중 홉 전송과 패킷 충돌 문제로 그 성능과 효율성 측면에서 많은 문제를 안고 있다. 본 논문에서는 교통사고 예방을 위한 차량안전메시지를 다중 홉 거리까지 효과적으로 전송하기 위해 우선순위 방식의 중계노드 선택방법을 제안하고 있다. 무선 전송반경에 포함된 여러 노드들 중에서 적정한 거리에 위치한 하나의 노드만 중계에 참여하도록 한다 따라서 중복 패킷의 수를 줄여 패킷 오버헤드를 낮추고 부가적으로 네트워크 성능의 향상도 얻고 있다. 제안된 방법의 성능은 네트워크 시뮬레이션을 통하여 여타의 방법에 비해 우수한 것으로 판명되었다.

신경회로망을 이용한 변압기 사고 검출 기법 개발 (Development of Fault Detection Method for a Transformer Using Neural Network)

  • 본 논문은 신경회로망을 이용하여 변압기 사고검출 기법을 제안하였다. 계전기 정동작을 위하여 전력용 변압기의 외부사고와 돌입현상은 포화현상이 고려된 EMTP/ATP를 이용하였고, 내부사고는 EMTP/BCTRAN를 이용하여 얻은 전류 데이타를 신경회로망의 사고검출 성능으로 평가하였다. 신경회로망의 입력지수로는 변압기 양단전류를 FFT로 주파수 분석하여 얻은 억제전류와 동작전류의 고조파 비의 크기를 이용하였고, 외부사고 시 억제전류값이 크게 나타나는 것을 이용하기 위해 억제전류를 동작전류로 나눈값을 계전기 입력으로 사용하였고, 학습알고리즘은back-propagation을 사용하였다. 실 계통에 적용하고 있는 변압기 보호용 계전기의 특성을 신경회로망의 검출성능으로 테스트한 결과 제안된 기법이 뛰어남이 확인되었다.

EMTP-RV를 이용한 CT포화 모델링 (EMTP-RV Modeling of CT Saturation)

  • A protection current transformer (CT) has been widely used for protection devices. When a fault occurs, a CT should provide the faithful reproduction of the primary fault current. However, a CT may saturates due to the magnitude of fault current, dc component primary time constant and the remanent flux of the iron core, and the secondary current of a CT is distorted. The distorted current can cause mal-operation or the operating time delay of a protection relay. This paper provides a modeling of CT saturation using EMTP-RV. The performance of the proposed CT saturation modeling was investigated under various fault conditions varying the fault distance, fault inception angle, and remanent flux of the iron core. The results indicate that the proposed EMTP-RV modeling can operate correctly, and the reasons for CT saturation are verified by EMTP-RV simulations.

  • This paper presents a refined protection algorithm of the unfused 22.9kV shunt capacitor banks in grounded wye connection to improve the existing algorithm using the voltage difference method. It is difficult to detect ground faults with arc near the input points or ground faults near the grounding point by the existing algorithm using only the voltage balanced relay. This paper shows that ground faults with arc near the input point can be detected by harmonics analysis of the differential voltage and that it has no impact of harmonics out of nonlinear loads which have the quantitative influence on capacitor banks. Thus the proposed method using harmonics analysis can be a proper detection method. In case of ground faults near the grounding point, an OVGR is being added recently and its validity is verified in this paper. The proposed method is applied to a 22.9kV example system and is verified that the proposed algorithm can detect clearly faults which are not easy to detect by the existing method.

  • In this paper, a communication module is proposed to be applied to communication between over current relay (OCR) agents in multi agent protection system. A multi agent system can achieve a global goal beyond the ability of each individual agent by working together, in which it is the prerequisite for each agent to be able to exchange or share information or processing status with other agent. The proposed communication module is purposed to enable not only each agent to bring about its own goal, but also the whole protective system to provide much improved coordinated protection. It is applied to a self adaptive protection system for a distribution network using multi agent concept to show its effectiveness.
