미지입력 비례적분 관측기 설계와 완전 LTR의 실현 (Design of Unknown-Input PI Observer and Realization of Exact LTR)

  • 전형적인 상태 관측기에서는, 외란이 시스템 입력에 가해지는 경우 시스템의 상태 추정이 불가능하다. 이러한 상태관측 문제에 대한 한가지 대책법으로서 비례적분(PI) 관측기가 제안되어 스텝외란의 소거에 대한 유효성이 밝혀져 로바스트 제어기 설계에 대한 응용으로서 널리 연구가 행해져 왔다. 그러나, 미지입력에 대한 PE 관측기 설계는 여전히 문제로 남아 있다. 이 논문에서는 미지입력 PI 관측기의 설계법을 제안하고, 이에 대한 응용으로서 완전 LTR을 실현할 수 있는 결과를 보인다. 먼저, 입력의 정보없이 시스템의 상태를 추정할 수 있는 미지입력 PI 관측기의 충분조건을 제안하고, PE 관측기의 설계에 요구되는 필요충분조건을 보인다. 이러한 조건은 완전 LTR의 실현을 위한 직접적인 요구조건임을 보인다. 따라서, 완전 LTR을 달성하면서 지정한 관측기의 극을 지니는 PI 관측기 설계가 가능하다.

적분누적 방지기법 기반 자세제어기를 이용한 쿼드로터 개발과 호버링 자세 제어 비행 실험 (Development of Quad-rotor with Anti-Windup Based PI controller and Hovering Attitude Control Flight Test)

  • This paper deals with a development of a quad-rotor for a hovering attitude control. First, a rotational dynamics are derived to design an attitude controller. The attitude controller is based on PI (Proportional-Integral) controller. For a stable attitude control, an anti-windup method applies to the PI attitude controller. Additionally, a complementary filter is used to obtain more reliable attitude. Gain values of the attitude controllers based on the anti-windup method are obtained through tests. Finally, the quad-rotor with the anti-windup based PI attitude controller is developed and a hovering attitude control flight tests are performed. As a result, the developed quad-rotor is capable of stable hovering.

  • This paper proposes various design procedures for computing Power System Ancillary Service Requirement Assessment Indices (PSASRAI) for a Two-Area Thermal Reheat Interconnected Power System (TATRIPS) in a restructured environment. In an interconnected power system, a sudden load perturbation in any area causes the deviation of frequencies of all the areas and also in the tie-line powers. This has to be corrected to ensure the generation and distribution of electric power companies to ensure good quality. A simple Proportional and Integral (PI) controllers have wide usages in controlling the Load Frequency Control (LFC) problems. So the design of the PI controller gains for the restructured power system are obtained using Bacterial Foraging Optimization (BFO) algorithm. From the simulation results, the PSASRAI are calculated based on the settling time and peak over shoot concept of control input deviations of each area for different possible transactions. These Indices are useful for system operator to prepare the power system restoration plans. Moreover, the LFC loop coordinated with Redox Flow Batteries (RFB) has greatly improved the dynamic response and it reduces the control input requirements and to ensure improved PSASRAI, thereby improving the system reliability.

  • This work treat the modeling and simulation of non-linear dynamic behavior of a web winding process during traction. We designate by a winding process any system applying the cycles of unwinding, transport, treatment, and winding to various flat products. This system knows several constraints, such as the thermal effects caused by the frictions, and the mechanical effects provoked by metal elongation, that generates dysfunctions due to the influence of the process conditions. Several controllers are considered, including Proportional-integral (PI) and Backstepping control. This paper presents the study of Backstepping controls strategy of the winding system. Our winding system is simulated in MATLAB SIMULINK environment, the results obtained illustrate the efficiency of the proposed control with no overshoot, and the rising time is improved with good disturbances rejections comparing with the classical control law.

분산전원용 계통연계형 PCS의 전류제어기 비교 (Comparison of Current Controllers of Grid-connected PCS for Distributed Resources)

  • In this paper, three current controllers for a grid-connected PCS using an LCL filter are compared and analyzed. Current controllers discussed in this paper are linear controllers such as PI (proportional-integral), PR (proportional-resonant), and DB (deadbeat) controller. Both transient and steady state responses of each controller are compared through both simulation and experiment. Although the DB controller has the fastest transient response and the lowest THD in the steady state, the DB controller has two cycles delay of current response in the steady state and has the stability problem which can be occurred due to variation of the system parameters. On the one hand the responses of PR controller are not much different from that of DB controller but the other hand that are not only strong to noise of grid current but also have smaller THD than PI controller. Considering the response time and stability issue of three controllers, the PR controller has the best performance among three controllers and thus can be strongly recommended as a current controller for a grid-connected PCS.

  • Fault diagnosis problem is currently the subject of extensive research and numerous survey paper can be found. Although several works are studied on the fault detection and isolation observers and the residual generators, those are concerned with only the detection of actuator failures or sensor failures. So, the perfect detection and isolation is strongly required for practical applications. In this paper, a, strategy of fault diagnosis using multiple proportional integral (PI) observers including the magnitude of actuator failures is provided. It is shown that actuator failures are detected and isolated perfectly by monitoring the integrated error between actual output and estimated output by a PI observer. Also in presence of complex actuator and sensor failures, these failures are detected and isolated by multiple PI observers.

  • 본 논문에서는 센서잡음이 있는 선형계의 구동기에 도입되는 미지고장을 추정하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 구동기의 미지 고장추정을 위하여 새로운 PI관측기를 도입함으로써 기존의 추정 방법에 비해 추정 성능을 개선시킬 수 있었으며, 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 본 연구방법의 유용성을 입증할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, an unknown-input proportional integral (PI) observer is presented and its applicability to the design of exact loop transfer recovery (Exact LTR) is shown. First, a sufficient condition for the PI observer to estimate the states of systems without knowledge of unknown input is derived. A simple existence condition of the observer is given. Under the conditions, the Exact LTR with specified observer's poles is achieved by the unknown-input PI observer.

  • PI(proportional-integral) controller has been extensively used in the industrial field. But in practicle case, it is difficult to tune PI gains. Evolution Strategy(ES) is used as an effective search algorithm in optimization programs. In this paper we proposed a PI controller for Spot welder system using ES with varying search space. ES with varying search space which depends on fitness values at each generation is used to tune PI control parameters. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm has accurate and robust performance with effective search ability.

오일쿨러의 고정밀 온도 제어를 위한 PI 및 피드포워드 제어기 설계 (Design of PI and Feedforward Controller for Precise Temperature Control of Oil Cooler System)

  • This paper deals with design method of proportional-integral(PI) and feedforward controller for obtaining precise temperature and high energy efficiency of oil cooler system in machine tools. The compressor's speed and opening angle of an electronic expansion valve are controlled to keep reference value of temperature at oil outlet and superheat of an evaporator. Especially, the feedforward controller is added to suppress temperature fluctuation under abrupt disturbances. Through some experiments, the suggested method can control the target temperature within steady state error of ${\pm}0.l^{\circ}C$ and maximum overshoot $0.2^{\circ}C$ under abrupt disturbances.
