The Long Term Evolution (LTE) system is already able to provide a background of variety services for mobile users with multimedia services such as audio, video, and data. In fact, the High Speed Packet Access plus (HSPA+) solution can greatly enhance bit rates on down-link. However, the supporting for multimedia applications with different QoS (Quality of Service) requirements is not devised yet. Hence, in this paper we propose an effective packet scheduling algorithm based on Proportional Fairness (PF) scheduling algorithms for the LTE. In this proposed packet scheduling scheme, we optimized instantaneous user data rates and the traffic class weight which prioritize user's packets. Finally, we evaluated and showed the performance of the proposed scheduling algorithm through simulations of multimedia traffics being transmitted to users over LTE links in a multi-cell environment.

3GPP LTE-Advanced (Release 10) system specifies carrier aggregation (CA) to enable high data rate on using multiple frequency bands, including the variout CA-specific deployment scenarios. Considering one of those scenarios in which the different directional sector antenna is employed by each frequency band, we propose a per-carrier cell selection scheme that can improve the average throughput of the cell-edge users by allowing each user equipment (UE) to select the frequency band of the adjacent cell. Furthermore, a distributed algorithm for inter-cell copperative scheduling in this scheme is proposed to support proportional fairness among the cells. It has been shown that the proposed scheduling algorithm for the per-carrier cell selection scheme improves the cell-edge user throughput roughly by 50% over that of the conventional scheme.
In this paper, we consider a joint frequency-domain scheduling and user-pairing problem for virtual MIMO in the single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, e.g., the uplink transmission for third generation partnership project-long term evolution (3GPP-LTE) standard. Due to the subcarrier adjacency constraint inherent to SC-FDMA, its complexity becomes unmanageable. We propose a greedy heuristic algorithm for PF scheduling so as to deal with the complexity issue in this joint problem. It has been shown that its performance can reach up to 90% of its upper bound.

This paper proposes a backoff control scheme for guaranteeing fair packet transmissions in TDMA wireless networks. In order to maximize the system performance, the number of packets transmitted in a frame should be kept at a proper level. In the proposed scheme, the base station calculates the packet transmission probability according to the offered loads and then broadcasts to all the mobile stations. Mobile stations attempt to transmit a packet with the received probability. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can offer better system throughput and delay performance than the conventional one regardless of the offered loads.
Since the wall mobility of bubble magnetic materials havin g the large q (q=Kac/2$\pi$$M_s^2$) like a $YFeO_3$ has been found to be proportional to the wall energy theoretically crystallographical direction dependence of wall energy calculated by the basis on the spin configuration of the bubble wall which lies in the ac plane was compared with the crystallographical direction dependence of wall mobility which was measured by the experiment. The sample was a single crystal of $YFeO_3$ which was cut into plate normal to the C axis and polished t a thickness of about 60${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ The measurement of the wall mobility was carried out by optical system using the magneto-optic Faraday effect. From the good agreement of the crystallographical direction dependence of wall mobility and will energy it was found that the spin configuration of the bubble wall suggested is fair.

무선 통신 환경에서 대표적인 채널모델인 가우시안 채널, 레일리 페이딩 채널, SCME(Spatial Channel Model Extended) 채널 모델에 PF(Proportional Fair)와 MR(Maximum Rate) 스케줄링 기법을 적용했을 때, 시스템 성능을 평가하고 비교한다.

Simple-relay aided resource allocation (SRARA) schemes are incorporated with throughput guarantee scheduling (TGS) in IEEE 802.16 type TDD-OFDMA downlink to enhance service coverage, where the amount of resources at each relay is limited due to either its available power which is much smaller than base station (BS) power or the required overhead The performance of SRARA schemes is evaluated with both proportional fair (PF) and TGS schedulers at 64 kbps and 128 kbps user throughput requirements. For SRARA with RSs of relatively lower power, a scheme putting total power into only one subchannel shows larger coverage than when both subchnnels are used in a manner of equal power allocation, while the RS with evenly power-allocated two subchannels could provide larger coverage gain for a relatively higher power. In a lower target (64kbps), more improvement comes from relay scheme rather than scheduler design. For a relatively higher level (128 kbps), it comes from scheduler design rather than relay.
Simple-relay aided resource allocation (SRARA) schemes are incorporated with throughput guarantee scheduling (TGS) in IEEE 802.16 type time division duplex - orthogonal frequency division multiple access (TDD-OFDMA) downlink in order to enhance service coverage, where the amount of resources for relaying at each relay is limited due to either its available power which is much smaller than base station (BS) power or the overhead required for exchanging feedback information. The performance of SRARA schemes is evaluated with schedulers such as proportional fair (PF) and TGS at 64kbps and 128kbps user throughput requirements when total MS power is set to 500mW or 1 W. For 64kbps throughput requirement level, more improvement comes from relay than scheduler design. For 128kbps case, it comse from scheduler design than relay due to the fact that simple relay can't help using strictly limited amount of resources for relaying function.
Previous works for the assured service in the Diffserv network have no sufficient consideration on the fairness of bandwidth share based on RTTs and the target rates of TCP flows. In this paper, in order to solve these problems, we propose a TRA3CM(Target rate and RTT Aware 3 Color Marking) mechanism. The TRA3CM mechanism provides three color marking and fair transmission rates among aggregate flows by considering RTT and target rate simultaneously. In case of higher target rate than bottleneck bandwidth, the TRA3CM mechanism is able to mitigate the RTT effect and provides fair transmission rates. In the results of comparing the performance among existing mechanisms and the TRA3CM, the TRA3CM mechanism was able to mitigate the RTT effect better than the former. The TRA3CM is shown to provide good performance for transmission rates proportional to various target rates.
