신경모세포종은 소아에서 발생하는 흔한 두개외 고형 종양 중 하나로서 진행된 경우 고용량 항암요법 및 자가 말초혈조혈모세포이식 후에도 재발이 잘 되어 예후가 매우 나쁘다. Iodine-131 metaiodobenzylguanidine ($^{131}I-MIBG$)는 치료에 잘 반응하지 않는 신경모세포종 4기 환자를 위한 대증적 치료 요법으로 제한적으로 이용되어 왔다. 저자들은 자가 말초혈조혈모세포이식 후 재발된 신경모세포종 3례에서 $^{131}I-MIBG$를 이용하여 통증을 경감시키고 생존 기간을 늘이는 고식적인 치료 효과를 얻어 이들에 대한 증례 보고를 하는 바이다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of death education, focusing on death orientation and suicidal ideation, among college students majoring in social welfare. Participation in this study was voluntary. Participants were divided into two groups; an experimental group and a control group, totaling fourteen participants in each group. In exploring the effects of death education, the experimental group was subjected to a total of seven independent sessions dealing with death education over a period of four weeks. As a result of the death education, scores of death orientation and suicidal ideation in the experimental group were significantly lower in the control group. College students majoring in social welfare in the experimental group demonstrated greater comfort with the concept of death, as well as death being the prolongation of one life and new hope for an ensuing life. The experimental group demonstrated a greater appreciation for life, more confidence in setting future goals for their lives, and an awareness of, and ability to deal positively with suicidal tendencies in themselves and others. This research demonstrated a strong practical benefit associated with death education and suicidal ideation awareness.

무선 센서 네트워크에서도 다른 네트워크와 마찬가지로 시간 관계를 유지하는 것이 중요하므로, 무선 센서 네트워크의 특성을 고려한 시각 동기화 프로토콜인 IBS(Indirect-Broadcast Synchronization)가 2012년에 개발되었다. IBS는 클러스터 트리 형태에서 동작하므로 일반 노드보다 더 많은 에너지를 소모하는 클러스터 헤더에 의해서 주로 네트워크 전체 수명이 좌우될 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 클러스터 트리를 부분적으로 재구성함으로써 전체 에너지 소모를 줄이고 네트워크 수명을 연장시키는 향상된 IBS(EIBS)를 개발하고자 한다. 다른 트리 구성 접근 방식과 비교할 때, 이 논문에서 사용된 방법은 알고리즘이 간단할 뿐만 아니라 전력 소모나 네트워크 수명 면에서 더 효율적이다.

The present study is concerned with the demonstration of the relationship between the behavior and the brain concentration of noradrenaline resulted from pretreatment of amphetamine in isolated or aggregated rats. The experimental subjects were rats weighing from 120g to 200g housed 1, 2, and 6 in a cage. Analeptic activity of amphetamine was measured by determining the sleeping time induced by pentobarbital sod. The noradrenaline content in brain was determined with Aminco-Bowmann's spectro-photofluorometer by Lee's modification of Shore and Olin method. Results: 1) The analeptic activity of amphetamine on the sleeping time induced by pentobarbital sod. was more increased in the grouped rats than in isolated animal. 2) In being isolated and grouped rats, the sleeping time induced pentobarital sod, was markedly prolonged by pretreatment of amphetamine. 3) Means of housing rats, e.g., isolation or aggregation did not seem to affect the brain noradrenaline depleting action. 4) Repeated daily parenteral administration of amphetamine sulfate for a period 1 to 3 weeks resulted in decrement of brain noradrenaline concentration in being isolated and grouped rats. 5) The prolongation of sleeping time of the isolated or aggregated rats, when pretreated with amphetamine, compared with that of stock rats, seems to be attributable rather to the means of housing than the variation of the noradrenaline caused by amphetamine.

다당류의 화학적인 조성은 다당류의 함량이 85.82% 이며, 이를 구성하는 단당류는 glucose의 함량이 79.60%로 가장 많고, 단백질의 함량은 2.07%이며, 구성 아미노산의 조성은 cystein, aspartic acid, valine, glutamic acid가 주요 아미노산이었다. 초산균에서 생산된 다당류가 Sarcoma 180에 대한 고형암 성장 저지율은 50 mg/kg의 투여시 64.96%의 가장 우수한 저지효과를 나타내었다. 수명 연장 효과는 50 mg/kg의 투여시 28.91%이었으며, 복수형암에 대해서는 별 높은 효과를 보이지 않았다. In vivo에서의 항암효과를 근거로 하여 in vitro에서는 Sarcoma 180에 대한 직접적 세포독성 작용은 거의 없었다.

The present research investigated the characteristics of voice between genders and nationalities by measuring the acoustic parameter values of Korean and Chinese students. Sound Forge was used to collect voice samples and Praat was used to measure and analyze jitter, shimmer, NHR, $sF_0$, and pitch range. The results of this research are a follows. First, during prolongation of the vowels, there was no significant difference in $F_0$ between Korean and Chinese males and Korean and Chinese females. Korean males and females had higher $F_0$ values than Chinese males and females. Secondly, during sentence reading, there was no significant difference between Korean and Chinese males in $sF_0$. But between female groups, there was a significant difference in $sF_0$. Thirdly, during sentence reading, the pitch range in Korean males was found to be narrower compared to Korean and Chinese females who had wider pitch range, showing a significant difference. Fourthly, jitter in the five vowels /a, i, u, e, o/ was found to be higher in Chinese than Korean subjects. In the vowels /a, e, u/ females were higher than males showing a significant difference. Fifthly, shimmer in the vowels /a, e, u/ was found to be higher in Chinese than Korean subjects showing a significant difference. Finally, NHR in the vowels /a, u, o/ was found to be higher in Chinese than Korean subjects showing a significant difference.

Growth curves of seven strains of lactic acid bacteria isolated from Kimchi were graphed, when they were cultivated at 3$0^{\circ}C$ in filter sterilized Chinese cabbage juice containing 0, 2, 4 and 6% salt, and then lag time and generation time were calculated. The shapes of growth curves were changed differently among strains, as salt concentrations were increased. The addition of 2~4% salt resulted in prolongation of lag time were most omspicuous in Leu. Paramesenteroides and Leu. Mesenteroides subsp. Dextranicum, and the next in Leu. Mesenteroides subsp. Mesenteroides,m Lac. Bavaricus and Lac. Gomohiochii, and the least in Lac. Plantarum and Lac. Brevis. And then the prolongations of generation time were most remarkable in Lac. bavaricus and Lac. Homohiochii, and the next in Leu. Mesenteroides subsp. Mesenteroides, Leu. Mesenteroides subsp. Dextranicum and Leu. Paramesenteroides, and the least in Lac. Plantarum and Lac. brevis. By increasing salt concentrations from 0 to 2%, the generation times of Leu. Cesenteroides subsp. Dextranicum and Leu. Mesenteriodes subsp. Mesenteroides were prolonged slightly, while those of Lac. Homohiochii and Lac. Brevis were not changed, and those of Lac. Plantarum, Lac. Bavaricus and Leu. Paramesenteroides were shortened slightly. As salt concentrations were increased from 2% to 4%, inversions in the order of generation time occurred among strains. As a whole, lower salt concentrations were more favorable for the growth of Leuconostoc strains, while higher salt concentrations were for Lactobacillus strains.

In order to investigate experimentally the clinical effects of Soeuminsohapwon that was prescribed to cure cerebral hemorrhage, palpitation etc, the author tested various activities of extract from the Soeuminsohapwhangwon by the method prescribed in the experimental part. The results of the studies were summarized as follows: Suppressive action was not shown on the convulsion induced by strychnine, but significant effect was noted on the convulsion induced by picrotoxin and caffeine. In acetic acid method, analgesic effect was noted. A prolongation of anesthetic time by pentobarbital sodium and antipyretic effect was observed. Relaxing action was noted on the ileum of mice, also same effect was recognized on contraction of the ileum due to acetylcholine, barium chloride and histamine. The expansion of blood vessels by relaxation of smooth muscle and hypotensive action were noted. According to the above results, effects based on oriental medical references were approximate to the actual experimental results.

Experimental studies were made to evaluate clinical efficacy and validate Oriental medicine description of 'Banhabaikchulchenma-Tang' which has been used for controlling of headache, heartburn and giddiness, etc. The results of these studies were as follows; 1) Suppressive actions were not shown on convulsion due to spine and diencephatic causes. 2) Analgesic action was recognized in mice and rats. 3) Sedative actions due to prolongation of hypnosis time, muscle relaxation and decreasing locomotive function were noted. 4) Relaxing action was noted in the ileum of mice, also antagonistic antispasmodic action was recognized on contraction of the ileum induced by acteylcholine and $BaCl_2$. In connection with results of these studies, efficacy based on the Oriental medical reference were consistant with actual experimental results. It is considered that 'Banhabaikchulchenma-Tang' has the therapeutic effect on the headache and giddiness, etc.

The impact of low concentration fluoride on toxification was studied by treating $3^rd$ instar silkworm larvae of Qiufeng${\times}$Baiyu (Fluoride resistant strain) and Jinshong${\times}$Haoyue (Fluoride sensitive strain). The $5^th$ instar silkworm larvae of Zhenong-l, Shu-12, Qiufeng ${\times}$ Baiyu, Chunhua ${\times}$ Qhiushi, Jinshong and Haoyue were fed mulberry leaves treated with sodium fluoride at different concentrations to determine its effect on fecundity. Harmful effects of low concentration fluoride at early instars on growth, development and economic characters of Bombyx mori are related to its resistance. Harmful effect on resistant strain Qiufeng${\times}$Baiyu manifested on prolongation of instar duration of 15 and 6% in 70 ppm, where as the sensitive breed Jinshong${\times}$Haoyue manifested with 100% mortality in 50 ppm. The impact of low concentration fluoride on fecundity resulted in considerable increase in formed eggs (9%) and laid eggs (9%) in Zhenong-l and Shu-12 among treated population over control. The present observations emphasis that fluoride apart from exhibiting harmful effects on silkworm growth and development, however, its low concentration do playa vital role in inducing some positive effect on fecundity and cocoon traits.
