This study was attempted to analyze the acoustic characteristics of profoundly deaf students. The 59 profoundly hearing-impaired and 36 normal subjects were divided into 3 age groups: 6-10 yrs group, 11-15 yrs group, and 16-20 yrs group. The voice was sampled in /a/ prolongation, counting, reading, and conversation using the Computerized Speech ,Lab (CSL). The vocal pitch of the deaf subjects was significantly higher than the normal subjects. The younger in age was tended to be higher in pitch and jitter values of the deaf subjects. The three age groups of the deaf subjects did not show any difference in loudness and shimmer, excepted to minimum loudness. The pitch mean of males was significantly lower than that for females.

본 논문에서는 균열 보수에 사용되는 Patch와 균열진 판 사이에 컴프라이언스 개념을 적용하여 Patch된 균열진 판의 응력확대계수를 이론유도하고, 이에 대한 실험과 균열진전 거동규명을 통하여 그 유효성을 충분히 검증하였다. 또한, 이와같은 컴프라이언스를 이용한 이론방법을 바탕으로 균열진 구조물의 잔존수명이 고려된 Patch를 간단히 설계할 수 있는 기법을 제시하였다.

The anititumor and immunologic activities of the glycoproteins extracted from sea cucumber (Stichopus japonicus) on mice bearing sarcoma 180 cells were investigated . Maximum tumor suppression (64%) occurred at the dose of 100mg glycoprotein/kg. The highest prolongation ratio was achieved at the level of 100mg/kg an dincreased by 395 more than that of control. Glycoproteins from sea cucumber exhibited direct cytotoxic effect on the tumor cells. Dose dependent increase of leucocyte, peritoneal exudate cell and weights of immunoorgans revealed the improvement of immunity. When the glycoportein-administered group was compared with the control, a significant difference was not noted in the clinico-chemical values such as S-GOT, S-GPT , alkaline phoshatse activity, total protein, cholesterol, triglyceride, urea nitrogen and glucose levels in blood. These results suggests that the antitumor activity of sea cucumber glycoprotein is associated with activation of cells in the immune system.

Polysaccharides were isolated with alkaline extraction method from twelve pharmaceutical plants, which have been used against the various tumors in the oriental herb medicine, and examined for their antitumor activities. When the polysaccharides were administered i. p. at the dose of 10mg/kg/day for ten consecutive days to the male ICR mice, which had been implanted with $1{\times}10^{6}$ cells of sarcoma 180 twentyfour hours before the first injection of polysaccharides, those from Forsythia Corea, Curcuma, Zedoaria, Albizzia Julibrissin, Prunuts Persica, Foeniculum Vlugare and Daphne Pseudogenkwa showed inhibition ratios of 88.0%, 61.1%m 73.0%, 72.8% 55.1% and 71.7%. The significant prolongation of life span was observed only in the case of Forsythia Corea (18.1%). Other six polysaccharide fractions from Olibanum, Lonicera Japonica, Rheum Coreanum, Scirpus Maritimus, Gleditchia Officinalis and Brassica Juncea showed negligible inhibition ratios.

IY-80843, N[2-(2-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-N'-[4-(lmidazole-4-yl)phenyl] formamidine, is a new potent $H_2-receptor$ anagonist. The potential secondary pharmacologic effects of this agent, on the central nervous and cardiovascular systems were studied. IY-80843 caused ptosis, suppression of locomotion, hypotehrmia, prolongation of sleeping time and hypotensive effects in mice, rats and dogs. These results suggest that IY-80843 affects the funcition of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems in a dose-dependent manner.

Prolonged release micro particles of clarithromycin (CL) were prepared using Eudragit RL 100 and RS 100 by spray-drying and casting-drying techniques. For the characterization of those microparticles, preparation yield, particle size distribution, X-ray diffraction, thermal behavior, active agent content and in vitro dissolution from the microparticles were performed. HPLC was used for the assay of clarithromycin and the assay method was validated. All the formulations obtained showed prolonged release when compared to pure clarithromycin. Microparticles prepared by spray-drying method had a slower release compared to those of casting drying method. Spray-drying method seems to be a more suitable method to prepare microparticles for prolongation in release.

The initiation of steel corrosion due to chloride diffusion is predicted to consider time-dependancy of surface chloride content. the profile of chloride concentration is the following: constant condition > square root condition > linear condition From these results, the initiation of steel corrosion in concrete is reverse order of above results of chloride profile. the effect of prolongation to initiation of steel corrosion is decreased with increasing concrete cover

In order to investigate experimentally the clinical effects of Soeuminsohaphyangwon that was prescribed to cure the Wisunanrihanbyung of Soeum-In, the author experimented various activities of mixed extract from the Soeuminsohaphyangwon by the method prescribed in the experimental part. The results of the studies were summerized as follows : 1. Suppressive action was not shown on the convulsion induced by strychnine but significant effect was noted on the convulsion induced by picrotoxin and caffeine. 2. In acetic acid method experiment analgesic effect was noted. 3. A prolongation of anesthetic time by Pentobarbital sodium and antipyretic effect was observed. 4. Relaxing action was noted on the ileums of mice, also same effect was recognized on contraction of the ileums due to acetylcholine, barium chloride and histamine 2 HCl. 5. The expansion of blood vessels by relaxation of smooth muscle and fall of blood pressure were noted. According to the above results, effects based on oriental medical references were approximate to the actual experimental results.

Active principles for the anti-fatigue activity of Panax ginseng were studied in mice using the swimming performance method. Ginseng water extract maximized the prolongation of swimming time 18 hours after administration. The potencies of anti-fatigue activities were found as in the order of ether soluble fraction and butanol soluble fraction as those of antioxidant activities previously determined. The anti-oxidant components, maltol, salicylic acid and vanillic acid isolated from the ether soluble fraction of Panax ginseng strongly exhibited the antifatigue activities, where as highly purified crystalline ginsenoside $4Rb_1$, Re and $4Rg_1$ did not.

더블히트파이프장치를 이용하여 순수 Ar, Hg 및 Ar-Hg 혼합증기의 전자이동속도를 온도는 순수 Ar의 경우 293[.deg.K], Hg의 경우 453-540[.deg.K]. Ar-Hg 혼합증기의 경우 320[.deg.K], E/N은 0.4~10[Td], 기체압력은 10~100[Torr]범위에서 유도전류법에 의해 측정하였다. 한편 볼츠만 방정식의 Backward Prolongation계산법으로 전자에너지분포함수를 구하고 그 값으로부터 전자수송특성을 산출하여 실험치와 비교하고 탄성 및 비탄성 충돌 단면적을 결정하였다. 그리고 Ar기체에 Hg증기를 0.5%, 1%, 5%, 10% 혼합하였을 때의 전자에너지분포함수와 전자이동속도를 산출하고 그에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다.
