Geriatric Dwelling Depression Measurement Based on Projective Image Analysis Modeling

  • The growth of the older population is expected to further increase social problems associated with population aging, such as isolation, poverty, and depression. The emerging issues associated with the older population are also expected to provide further momentum on studies about the dwelling environment as factors that ensure the health of older people as well as improve their quality of life. Therefore, approaches for explaining the issues of the older age group should be diversified using a variety of factors and appropriate analytic tools. Studies on measuring depression have principally focused on assessing an objective self-report questionnaire, usually in a highly structured, textual form which may not reflect the cognitive impairment of older adults. The aim of this study was to define and measure dwelling depression among older adults in Korea. There are two specific hypotheses in this study as follows: (a) there will be statistically significant relationships with dwelling dissatisfaction and depression, and (b) dwelling depression tools containing text and images will be, respectively, assessment tools that have a good construct with content validity and reliability. In the first experiment, to define and measure dwelling depression, 301 people over 65 years old living in single and two-person households were surveyed using a text-based dwelling depression questionnaires from September 1-30, 2017. In the second experiment, to examine whether the projective image questionnaire could serve as a suitable replacement for the text-based questionnaires, the same participants were surveyed from January 22 to February 2, 2018. The results show that depression has a close correlation with dwelling dissatisfaction. In addition, the geriatric dwelling depression index (GDDI) based on the projective image was refined. Additionally, the projective image questionnaire has a close correlation with the text-based questionnaire. Finally, through ROC curve analysis, it was found that the projective image questionnaire can accurately predict a depression group. To this end, this preliminary study examined the validity of the projective image questionnaire in older adults to make this instrument feasible for older populations and to contribute to a profound understanding of geriatric depression due to the living environment. We hope they will provide a basis for further research on psychological diagnoses using projective images.

Improved image alignment algorithm based on projective invariant for aerial video stabilization

  • In many moving object detection problems of an aerial video, accurate and robust stabilization is of critical importance. In this paper, a novel accurate image alignment algorithm for aerial electronic image stabilization (EIS) is described. The feature points are first selected using optimal derivative filters based Harris detector, which can improve differentiation accuracy and obtain the precise coordinates of feature points. Then we choose the Delaunay Triangulation edges to find the matching pairs between feature points in overlapping images. The most "useful" matching points that belong to the background are used to find the global transformation parameters using the projective invariant. Finally, intentional motion of the camera is accumulated for correction by Sage-Husa adaptive filtering. Experiment results illustrate that the proposed algorithm is applied to the aerial captured video sequences with various dynamic scenes for performance demonstrations.

  • In this paper, we propose visual-based self-localization and obstacle detection algorithms for indoor mobile robots. The algorithms do not require calibration, and can be worked with only single image by using the projective invariant relationship between natural landmarks. We predefine a risk zone without obstacles for a robot, and update the image of the risk zone, which will be used to detect obstacles inside the zone by comparing the averaging image with the current image of a new risk zone. The positions of the robot and the obstacles are determined by relative positioning. The method does not require the prior information for positioning robot. The robustness and feasibility of our algorithms have been demonstrated through experiments in hallway environments.

  • 본 논문은 영상 모자이킹을 위한 사영 변환 행렬의 정밀도를 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. Shift Theorem을 이용하여 영상간의 전역 이동 성분을 추출하고 구해진 이동 성분을 이용하여 영상간의 일치점을 찾음으로서 기존의 일치점 검출의 문제점을 해결하였다. 일치점 집합을 RANSAC 알고리즘을 적용하여 신뢰도가 높은 일치점을 추출함으로서 잡음의 영향에 강인하도록 하였으며 일치점의 좌표를 정규화 하여 사영변환 행렬의 정밀도를 개선하였다.

Controlling robot by image-based visual servoing with stereo cameras

  • In this paper, an image-based "approach-align -grasp" visual servo control design is proposed for the problem of object grasping, which is based on the binocular stand-alone system. The basic idea consists of considering a vision system as a specific sensor dedicated a task and included in a control servo loop, and we perform automatic grasping follows the classical approach of splitting the task into preparation and execution stages. During the execution stage, once the image-based control modeling is established, the control task can be performed automatically. The proposed visual servoing control scheme ensures the convergence of the image-features to desired trajectories by using the Jacobian matrix, which is proved by the Lyapunov stability theory. And we also stress the importance of projective invariant object/gripper alignment. The alignment between two solids in 3-D projective space can be represented with view-invariant, more precisely; it can be easily mapped into an image set-point without any knowledge about the camera parameters. The main feature of this method is that the accuracy associated with the task to be performed is not affected by discrepancies between the Euclidean setups at preparation and at task execution stages. Then according to the projective alignment, the set point can be computed. The robot gripper will move to the desired position with the image-based control law. In this paper we adopt a constant Jacobian online. Such method describe herein integrate vision system, robotics and automatic control to achieve its goal, it overcomes disadvantages of discrepancies between the different Euclidean setups and proposes control law in binocular-stand vision case. The experimental simulation shows that such image-based approach is effective in performing the precise alignment between the robot end-effector and the object.

투사이미지 분석기반 고령자 주거우울 척도 타당화 연구 (Validation of a Dwelling Depression Scale Based on Analysis of Projective Images)

  • 주거환경이 고령자 삶의 질을 결정하는 중요한 요인으로 인식되면서 고령자우울 측정의 필요성이 부각된다. 특히, 고령자 인지특성, 생활환경 등 다양한 변수를 고려하여 측정 도구를 개발하는 것은 정확한 심리 진단에 매우 중요한 일이다. 본 연구에서는, 2018년도 1월 22일부터 2월 2일까지 7개 시 구에 거주하는 65세 이상 남 여 단독가구 고령자 301명을 대상으로 주거환경 속에서 나타나는 우울을 투사적 이미지를 적용하여 측정하였다. 이를 위해 주거우울과 투사이미지의 상관관계를 규명하였고, 요인분석을 통해 투사이미지 기반 측정도구를 보완하였다. 고령자주거우울지수(GDDI)와 '투사이미지 기반 고령자주거우울지수'의 상관관계를 규명하였으며, 척도의 정확도를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 투사이미지를 활용한 설문은 서술형 설문과 높은 상관관계를 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 주거우울을 측정할 수 있는 새로운 도구를 제안하여 투사기법을 이용한 심리 진단 연구의 발판을 제공한데 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

Specification and Implementation of Projective Texturing Node in X3D

  • Extensible 3D (X3D) is the ISO standard for defining 3D interactive web- and broadcast-based 3D content integrated with multimedia. With the advent of this integration of interactive 3D graphics into the web, users can easily produce 3D scenes within web contents. Even though there are diverse texture nodes in X3D, projective textures are not provided. We enable X3D to provide SingularProjectiveTexture and MultiProjectiveTexture nodes by materializing independent nodes of projector nodes for a singular projector and multi-projector. Our approach takes the creation of an independent projective texture node instead of Kamburelis's method, which requires inconvenient and duplicated specifications of two nodes, ImageTexture and Texture Coordinate.

비교정 영상 시퀀스로부터 3차원 모델링을 위한 프로젝티브 재구성 방법 (Projective Reconstruction Method for 3D modeling from Un-calibrated Image Sequence)

  • 비교정 영상 시퀀스(un-calibrated sequence)로부터 대상 장면을 재구성하는 연구는 컴퓨터 비젼에서 중요한 주제이다. 3차인 정보론 유클리드 공간에서 재구성하기 위해 프로젝티브(projective) 재구성이 선행되며, 이는 병합(merging)방법과 분해 (factorization)방법으로 나뉜다. 분해방법은 카메라 투영행렬과 3차원 구조정보를 한 번에 계산하기 때문에 계산속도가 빠르며, 병합방법의 단점인 오차의 누적 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 그러나 사용되는 일치점(correspondence)이 모든 영상 시퀀스에 존재한다는 가정으로 인해 긴 시퀀스에 적용하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 영상 시퀀스를 몇 개의 그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹을 분해 법으로 프로젝티브 재구성을 한 다음, 하나의 프로젝티브 공간으로 다시 구성하는 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 시퀀스에서 그룹을 결정하기 위해 매칭점의 개수, 평면사영변환(homography) 오차, 영상 내 매칭점의 분포를 함께 고려했으며, 병합방법에 비해 카메라 파라미터의 오차 누적이 적고 계산속도면에서도 우수함을 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, for a commutative ring R with an identity, considering the endomorphism ring $End_R$(M) of left R-module $_RM$ which is (quasi-)injective or (quasi-)projective, some discriminations of prime endomorphism were found as follows: each epimorphism with the irreducible(or simple) kernel on a (quasi-)injective module and each monomorphism with maximal image on a (quasi-)projective module are prime. It was shown that for a field F, any given square matrix in $Mat_{n{\times}n}$(F) with maximal image and irreducible kernel is a prime matrix, furthermore, any given matrix in $Mat_{n{\times}n}$(F) for any field F can be factored into a product of prime matrices.

행렬 분해 제약을 사용한 다중 영상에서의 투영 복원 (Projective Reconstruction from Multiple Images using Matrix Decomposition Constraints)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 영상에서 추출된 특징점을 사용해서 투영 공간에서의 카메라 행렬과 3차원 정점좌표를 계산하는 방법을 제안한다. 수치적인 안정성을 위해서 특징점을 정규화한 후 복원하며 얻어지는 카메라 행렬과 3차원 정점에 대해서 비정규화한다. 카메라 행렬과 3차원 정점의 초기값을 얻기 위해서 특이값 분해기법을 사용해서 투영 깊이가 적용된 측정 행렬을 분해한다. 행렬 분해 제약을 사용하여 카메라 행렬과 3차원 정점을 투영 복원한다. 투영 복원 과정에서는 비선형 반복적 최적화 방법이 사용된다. 실험 결과 제안방법은 대체로 적절한 정확성을 얻었고 오차의 편차가 크지 않았다.
