정보기반의 신제품개발 조직설계 : 사례 연구 (Information-based NPD Organization Design : A Case Study)

  • Concurrent Engineering is one of the information-based product development approach. Yet, the method of organizing the project team for the concurrent engineering is not clear. This study focuses on deriving a method to organize an information-based project team. The model consists of 4 layers : IT infrastructure, organization of the information-based project team, operation of the project team, an organization culture. Based on an analysis of new product development case, this study attempts to verify the model and to suggest more effective way of organization design and management for new product development.

  • Since 1990's, many enterprises have implemented ERP System. Especially, they want to become an advanced company use ERP implementation. Already, ERP system come to high level which is stabilized and support independent business process of many industry sectors. Although most companies had previous good plans, but those are not satisfied. Because of failed to change management and had many problem about Project team operation. Therefore, important success factors for ERP project are change management and organization activation for Project team. The purpose of this study is suggest to improve method about team activation through analysis the Project team member's individual personality as a factor that makes the success of Project team. This paper studied success factors of project team and plan for organization activation. The results of this study can be used for a successful implementation of the ERP system as make of Project team consider of individual personality and administer a Project team.

  • Knowledge management (KM) is one of the useful management tools in today's project management (PM) practice, such as construction projects. Nobody can deny the importance of "useful knowledge" always helps organizations and project managers shaping a decision. Due to the trend of globalization, it is now very common that an organization may comprise employees from different countries of distinct national-cultures working together. It is also not uncommon that different projects, within an organization, may have their own organizational-cultures which influence its knowledge repository, transfer process and knowledge strategy. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to align all these cultures and consolidate them to benefit the KM process and PM practice. Organizations and project managers understand that different national-cultural and organizational-cultural factors will create impact on the philosophy of KM process which will subsequently affect PM practice. Those factors may affect interpersonal relations and exchange of knowledge between projects and amongst staff. Systematic KM process can utilize the goodness of different employees from distinct cultures which can eventually drive the organization and projects to success. The purpose of this paper, based upon a case study of a Hong Kong construction company, is to discuss how those cultural factors are linked to KM and what organization and project managers can do to improve the KM process and PM practice.

프로젝트관리 성숙도별 리스크관리 적용 (On the Application of Risk Management by Levels of Project Management Maturity)

  • The uncertainty of a project generates risks hindering the goal achievement of the project, and the risks affect the success or failure of the project significantly. Risk management, a part of the project management, includes various processes, and there are also various tools or techniques applicable to that. In an organization, the application of project management develops gradually from low to high maturity, and the organization should choose and implement a method of application proper for the level of its maturity. This article suggests a method to reduce inefficiency of the management and how to apply risk management by levels of maturity for easier application. For this, the stages of project management maturity levels were divided into the introduction, development, and maturity step, and methods of risk management suitable for each stage were applied. And methods of risk management that need to be applied by the levels of project maturity are divided into three factors : risk management processes, risk management tools and techniques, and risk management standards and templates. It is expected to be favorable approaches for the application of risk management in an organization to divide those factors into more concrete processes, tools, techniques, and standards and apply them by the levels of management maturity.

프로젝트 매트릭스 조직의 신제품개발 프로젝트에서 프로젝트 관리자의 역량이 성과에 미치는 영향 -A사 기술연구소를 중심으로- (The Effects of Project Manager's Competencies on the Performance of NPD Project in Project Matrix Organization: Focused on the Institute of Technology of Company A)

  • 본 연구는 프로젝트 매트릭스 조직의 신제품개발 프로젝트에서 해당 프로젝트 관리자의 역량을 지적, 관리, 감성 역량으로 분류한 후, 각 역량이 사전/사후 측면에서 기획 성과와 완료 성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 프로젝트 매트릭스 조직 내 프로젝트 관리자들을 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과를 토대로 역량과 성과 간의 관계를 PLS(partial least square) 구조방정식 모형으로 확인하였다. 가설검증 결과, 프로젝트 관리자의 지적 역량은 기획 성과와 완료 성과 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치는 반면, 관리 역량과 감성 역량은 두 성과 모두에 긍정적인 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 노력은 프로젝트 관리의 역량과 성과에 관한 연구에서 매트릭스 조직을 대상으로 구체화된 역량과 성과를 분석한 차별화된 시도이며, 본 연구결과는 최근 재조명을 받고 있는 프로젝트 매트릭스 조직 내 신제품개발 프로젝트 관리자의 선발과 교육 시 프로젝트 성과에 중요한 역량 개발에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

프로젝트 리더의 핵심역량과 프로젝트 성공요인간의 구조적 인과관계 분석 (The Analysis of Structural Relationships between Project Leader' Core Competencies and Project Success Factors)

  • 본 연구는 프로젝트 리더의 핵심역량이 조직의 환경변수에 따라 프로젝트 성공에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고 그 상호 인과관계를 밝히는 데 목적을 두고 연구하였으며, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 프로젝트 리더의 핵심역량의 하위요인들인 지적능력, 관리능력, 감성능력은 프로젝트 성공요인의 하위요인들인 직무만족, 조직몰입, 집단 응집력에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조절변수인 프로젝트조직다양성 중 하위요인인 기능적 조직과 프로젝트 조직은 프로젝트 리더의 핵심역량의 하위요인들에 대한 영향에 일부 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다, 하지만 개인중심조직은 아무런 조절효과를 보이고 있지는 않았다. 프로젝트 조직은 지적능력${\rightarrow}$조직몰입, 관리능력${\rightarrow}$조직몰입, 감성능력${\rightarrow}$조직몰입에 모두 유의한 조절효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 프로젝트 리더의 핵심역량이 직무만족과 조직몰입 및 집단응집력을 높여주는 기제로서 작용함과 프로젝트조직의 종류에 따라 조절효과가 다름을 실증적으로 증명하였다.

연구개발(R&D) 프로젝트의 효과적 관리를 위한 과정모형에 관한 연구 (A study on the Project Process Management System (PPMS) for the effective management of R&D projects)

  • This study examines a normative model of project management systems, PPMS, to provide information for directing R&D activity in order to increase R&D productivity. The PPMS (Project Process Management System) is a disciplined and systematic framework to manage R&D projects effectively and efficiently under the assumption of a strategic decision making and long-range planning. The purpose of PPMS is to provide for the management of research organization at different levels an effective management tool; first, for the planning system which deals with rational selection and authorization of R&D projects, second, for the control system which concerns monitoring and controlling the execution of R&D projects, and finally, for the evaluation system which attains evaluation of the performance results of R&D projects and determination of the necessary follow-up. A view for the future development of project management within the context of a project-performing organization is also elaborated to exhibit the progress and phase description of the project management system.

조직의 SEPMC 자체 평가에 유용한 참조기준 개발 (On the Development of Reference Guidelines for Self-evaluation of Organization's Systems Engineering and Project Management Capability)

  • In modern systems, the operational capability of the system to the user needs is expanding rapidly to accommodate the size of the system, functionality, and interfaces are becoming increasingly complex. Accordingly, the systematic practice of project management and systems engineering in the system development process, as an important element in successful systems development is recognized. EIA/ANSI 632, ISO/IEC15288, the leading international standard for systems engineering and is the leading international standard on project management PMBOK. CMMI is also contains information about the activities of project management and systems engineering and worldwide basis to assess the maturity of an organization's ability to develop system being used. But CMMI model is too complex of structure and there are many overlap parts of contents. So there are many problems for members of organization understanding all of CMMI model, applying organization and, achieving improvement activity. In this study, through the analysis and integration between the model and the related standard coverage activities essential for successful systems development in organizations that require systems engineering and project management capabilities(SEPMC) for self-assessment and continuous improvement activities to provide useful reference guideline.
