A Study on Computer Aided VLSI System Design (VLSI System CAD에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper I have proposed a heuristic layout algorism which is important in the CAD system of VLSI. I have designed a placement algorism to be used the method which depends upon the synthetic judgment of human. The placement algorism can reflect the position of a module in a logical design circuit diagram drawn up by human beings. Also, in order to show the usefulness of the new method I have compared through a program experiment it with the former method of cluster development placement. Moreover, a routing algorism is proposed in order to reduce the excessive problem of memory capacity. Of course this new algorism compensates for the former Maze's defects.

  • A Robot Performance Evaluation System(RPES) Program with auto extraction algorism was developed according to the ISO 9283 robot performance criteria. The developed program looks for order point automatically in data that get laser measurement Instrument and estimate performance of robot using this order point. In addition, this program estimates Each Joint Motion of robot. Robot Performance Evaluation System(RPES) Software was developed with Visual Basic satisfying the need of Hyundai Motor Company. The developed system was implemented on NACHI 8608 AM 11 robot. The resulted output shows the effectiveness of the developed system.

  • When operating Express and Standard trains, which run with two different scheduled time, in a single line with limited number of side tracks for overtaking standard trains, it is required to have various modeling methodologies and simulations in order to calculate an optimum headway to maximize the capacity of the line with the best scheduled time. Especially it is inevitable that following trains have to slow down or stop in the middle of their operations due to the preceding trains, in case it is inappropriate controlled about either in which station an overtaking should be taken or how long it should be. This study is to analyze TPS data which have been produced with a simulation program which the team has invented to optimize Express and Standard mixed traffic plan and to introduce an algorism which shows detected conflict data, calculates appropriate dwell time after getting overtaken and helps to decide stations for overtaking.

  • The Aim of this development is the management of a forecasting analysis program based on a real-time remote sensing data. Using this program it is possible to predict a failure of levee facilities in advance. therefor, it is necessary for making plans of a safety countermove. In this development we have researched the analysis method which could operate effectively the levee facilities using real-time monitoring data from a remote sensing system and the safety managerial program using the algorism from the analysis method developed.

  • Today, satellite remote sensing (RS) and geographic information systems (GIS) plays an important role as an advanced science and technology. This study was developed a Line Density Algorithm which was clarify and describe the thermal front by using NOAA SST (sea surface temperature) and GIS spatial analysis for systemic and effective management of fish raising industry and sea environmental pollution by land reclamation program. Before this, a study about a interpolation method was carry out which was very important for estimate the hidden value between a special point. For this study Inverse Distance Weighted interpolation, Spline interpolation, Kriging interpolation methods were choose and SST data from 2001 to 2004 in spring (March, April, May) were analyzed. According to the study Kriging interpolation method was the very adaptive method from a practical point of view and excellent in description and precision then others. Finally, the result of this study will be use for develope the Line Density Index Algorism.

  • It is very difficult to control a motor and apply a mathematical algorism using regular micro controller. However we can embody a program using the graphic language faster and easier than using another language and conveniently compose the plate based on a PC through the DAQ board included AD and DA converter. In addition, The controllable system is made due to GUI program. I verified appropriateness PI control and determining a speed of BLDC motor which is nomally used through this program.

  • In a situation that building energy consumption is increasing worldwide, the research utilizing BIM technology to analyze building energy has been actively conducted. On the other hand, data input method of the building energy analysis has been still manually entered. This paper proposed a improved input method of required information for building energy analysis using the ECO2-OD program. As a result, although some required information of BIM based design software could be almost entered when it comes to general information and architectural sector, it has a problem to be handled in HVAC sector. Therefore, in the both of general and architectural sectors, the BIM information from the BIM-based design software could be directly used to automatically and systematically input the information. Future research should be studied the algorism and method in connection with data exchange to utilize input method of ECO2-OD from BIM data.

Recognition method of small-obstacles using a camera for a mobile robot (이동로봇을 위한 카메라 1대를 이용한 소형 장애물 인식방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the recognition method of small-obstacles using a camera for a mobile robot in indoor environment. The technique of image processing using a camera has been widely used for an automaton of industrial system, an inspection of inferior goods, a lookout of an invader, and a vision sensor of intelligent robot. Mobile robot could meet small-obstacles such as a small plastic bottle of about 0.5 l in quantity, a small box of $7{\times}7{\times}7cm^3$ in volume, and so on in its designated path, and could be disturbed by them in the locomotion of a mobile robot. So, it is necessary to research on the recognition of small-obstacles using a camera and program. In this paper, 2-D image processing algorism and method fur recognition of small-obstacles using a camera for a mobile robot in indoor environment was developed. The characteristic test of the developed program to confirm the recognition of small-obstacles was performed. It is shown that the developed program could judge the size and the position of small-obstacles accurately.
