  • In the past it was generally felt that software quality was the same as product quality. But as the software industry is getting bigger and more complex, it has become hard to develop quality software that meets customers' needs just depending on product quality. Therefore, lately many domestic and foreign companies are making efforts to upgrade product quality by implementing Process Improvement. Measurement in Process Improvement activities enhances the effect of Process Improvement, and also identifies and helps the activities. In support of this paper, research on the measurement program was conducted based on the CMMI adopted by many domestic and foreign companies for their process improvement model. MA process area that deals with measurement process setup is one of the CMMI process areas and was the basis of the structure of the measurement program. This study presents differences of the measurement program for each level of CMMI and how to apply it. The results of this study can help a business to apply CMMI-based Process Improvement by backing up the structure of the measurement program. Furthermore, it can offer a roadmap for progress of the measurement program for each level.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate how a program using video-audio media will affect the knowledge level and compliance of the sick role of patients admitted for coronary angiography. Method: A non-equivalent control group non-synchronized design was used. Subjects were selected from patients admitted to the internal ward of a hospital in B city for coronary angiography between July 1 and September 31, 2010. Twenty subjects were assigned to the control and experimental group, respectively. Video-audio media developed by the authors was used as the experimental tool. The effects of the program were analyzed using a knowledge assessment tool and questionnaire for compliance of the sick role. The SPSS/WIN 14.0 program was used for data analysis. Result: The first hypothesis that the "experimental group receiving the program using video-audio media will report a higher level of knowledge compared to the control group" was supported. The second hypothesis that the "experimental group that received the program using video-audio media will report a higher level of compliance of sick role" was supported. Conclusion: The program using video-audio media was effective in enhancing patients' knowledge about the disease and compliance of the sick role. Thus, it can be an effective nursing intervention for patients with coronary artery disease.

A total of 121 participants completed the program offered at 16 institutions. Participants' stress perception and stress response were measured prior to the bibliotherapy and post-tests were followed. 17 hypotheses were tested statistically by t-test and ANOVA. The followings are the main results. Both types of the bibliotherapy are effective in decreasing the stress of the old. Group meeting program is more effective than individual contact program. There were no significant effectiveness difference among the groups divided by sex, age, and education level. Bibliotherapy effectiveness is differ among groups divided by the initial stress perception level. Obviously, bibliotherapy was more effective for the old in high stress level than those in low stress level. Based on the results, recommendations are suggested to promote the bibliotherapy program.

  • Background: We aimed to provide basic data for improving the effectiveness of the invitational training and reflecting it in the program in the following year by identifying the satisfaction level of trainees who participated in the "Dr. LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program" funded by the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted using a questionnaire interview. In the first stage of analysis, only the interview contents related to the research topic were classified by the researcher for the conversations recorded at the interview site, and in the second stage of analysis, the interview contents classified in the first stage were classified into each of those mentioned in this study. Results: The longer the trainees participated in the program and the better the accessibility, the higher the satisfaction with the program. In addition, the level of achievement of the trainees' goals and the level of improvement in their competence affected their satisfaction, and their difficulty in language communication during the training period was identified as a factor affecting the trainees' satisfaction level. In addition, competency improvement and satisfaction were positively correlated (r=0.75, p=0.03). Conclusion: When organizing a rehabilitation workforce capacity training program, it is important to identify trainees' needs, ensure accessibility, organize courses effectively, enhance English proficiency, and expand practical lectures to increase trainees' knowledge and understanding of rehabilitation.

This study also examined the education satisfaction level and preferred education method and evaluated a university lifelong education program by surveying a fashion company employees who completed a fashion education program. As decision making variables, this study included participation purposes, obstacles, and evaluation criteria. While questionnaires were used to identify the decision making variables, education satisfaction level, and preferred education method, focus group interviews were used to evaluate the university lifelong education program. The findings showed that the respondents enrolled in the program mostly because of personal motivations and considered the workload and time limitation as participating obstacles. They considered educational content as the most important evaluation criteria for participating in the program and were highly satisfied with the program they completed. This study suggests how university lifelong education centers may structure their fashion education programs to better appeal to the employees of fashion companies.

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of a children sexual abuse (CSA) parental training program with applied developmental bibliotherapy on parents. Subjects were 54 mothers, 24 of whom participated in the program which included 8 sessions for 4 weeks. Four dependent variables were subjected to analysis of covariance (ANCOVA); mothers’ knowledge, myths and stereotypes related to CSA, and their children’s levels of prevention concepts comprehension and self-protection skills of CSA. The results showed that the program increased mothers’ knowledge of CSA and decreaesd their beliefs on myths and stereotypes, and also increased their comprehension level of CSA prevention concepts and their level of children self-protection skills. These positive effects of the program show that the program can be incorporated into early childhood education practices. We are also pursuing the development of other research programs on this subject.
