  • Dimethomorph is a novel fungicide with a high level of activity against diseases induced by certain Oomycetes, including fungal populations that are resistant to other products. In several ways, this fungicide illustrates the opportunities and challenges presented by many modern pesticides. The specific mode of action, which affects cell wall formation, is associated with a very high level of performance and low dose rates under field conditions. These low dose rates, combined with a low level of toxicity to non-target organisms present an outstanding safety profile. This same highly-specific mode of action, however, limits the spectrum of activity and suggests the need for a resistance management plan, both of which must be addressed in new product development. In addition, the biological and physiochemical properties of this, and other new products are not adequately described by the traditional classification of fungicides into“protectant”and“systemic”types. These unique profiles provide novel and useful products for disease control.

THE NEW GENERATION OF THE BMW CHILD SEAT AND OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM SBE 2

  • A new generation of the BMW child seat and occupant detection system SBE2 far a smart airbag system is described. The SBE2 system consists of two subsystems: OC (Occupant Classification) and FDS (Field Detection System). The OC system is a force sensitive sensor array that measures a pressure profile. The FDS system detects child seat and occupant according to the change of electrical field generated by four capacitive plates. Combining the signals from both subsystems, the BMW SBE2 system can distinguish fully automatically between a child seat and a person.

  • This study was carried out to measure seasonal changes in the community structure and species composition of marobenthos in the intertidal area of Dokdo. The macrobenthos identified during this study was comprised of 36 species: predominately 25 species of mollusks(69.4 %), 6 species of arthropods(16.7 %), 3 species of echinodermata(8.3 %) and 1 species of cnidaria (5.6 %). The number of marobenthos species ranged from 27 in Spring to 33 in Autumn. In terms of the top 10 dominant species, there were 7 species of mollusks and 3 species of arthropods in the this study. After analyzing the bray-curtis similarity, it was divided into two large groups(A, B). Such group classification matched the SIMPROF(Similarity Profile Analysis) and the one-way ANOSIM(Analysis of similarities) analysis.

  • In a face, there is much information of person's identity. Because of this property, various tasks such as expression recognition, identity recognition and deepfake have been actively conducted. Most of them use the exact frontal view of the given face. However, various directions of the face can be observed rather than the exact frontal image in real situation. The profile (side view) lacks information when comparing with the frontal view image. Therefore, if we can generate the frontal face from other directions, we can obtain more information on the given face. In this paper, we propose a combined style model based the conditional generative adversarial network (cGAN) for generating the frontal face from multi-view images that consist of characteristics that not only includes the style around the face (hair and beard) but also detailed areas (eye, nose, and mouth).

노인의 객관적 구강건강상태와 주관적 구강건강수준간의 관련성 (Association between oral health status and oral health impact profile(OHIP-14) among the community elderlies)

  • Objectives : This study was attempted in order to grasp oral health level according to socio-demographic characteristics in elders in some communities, and to evaluate oral health status and its association. Methods : The subjects in this study were performed with 235 people, who were over 65 years and resided in Daejeon Province, from June 20 to July 10, 2011. An individual interview was held, and they got a dental checkup. As for data analysis, chi-square test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson correlation were utilized. Results : The older age in the whole research subjects and the lower educational level led to the less remaining teeth and the larger missing teeth index. The decayed missing filled teeth index and the decayed missing filled teeth rate were higher in more women and older age and in the lower educational level. Tooth mortality rate was higher in the older age, the lower educational level, and the group of living together with spouse. The maxillary-mandibular fixed-bridge status in the mouth was indicated to be the highest in the full-denture mounting ratio as for elders in over 80 years old. Oral Health Impact Profile(OHIP-14) average score was $56.05{\pm}11.64$ in the whole research subjects The decayed missing filled teeth index and the decayed missing filled teeth rate showed significantly positive correlation with the decayed missing filled teeth rate, tooth mortality rate and showed significantly negative correlation with OHIP-14. Tooth mortality rate showed significantly negative correlation with OHIP-14 Oral Health Impact Profile(OHIP-14) showed significantly positive correlation with its factors. Conclusions : Accordingly, the policy effort is considered to be necessary that implements in elders in order to spend active senescence, and that elders' health and oral-health behavior can be implemented continuously and preventively through classification according to elders' physical function.

다층 잠재프로파일 분석을 적용한 중학생의 학교폭력 집단 분류와 개인 및 학교요인 검증 (Classification of Student's School Violence During Middle School: Applying Multilevel Latent Profile Models to Test Individual and School Effects)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학교폭력 잠재집단이 각 유형별 피해경험과 가해경험에 따라 어떻게 나눠지는지 살펴보고, 이러한 잠재집단 분류에 개인과 학교 요인들이 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울교육종단연구(SELS2010)의 초등학교 4학년 패널의 5차 자료 중 학교폭력을 한번 이상 경험한 학생 2,195명의 학교폭력 피해 및 가해경험에 대해 다층 잠재프로파일 모형(multilevel latent profile model)을 적용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 학교폭력 가해 및 피해경험을 종류별, 수준별로 모두 고려하였을 때 가해피해 고수준집단(1.7%), 가해위주집단(2.1%), 피해위주집단(3.7%), 언어적 폭력경험집단(92.5%)의 4가지의 집단으로 분류되었다. 영향요인 검증 결과, 학생수준에서 성별, 탄력성, 자기통제력, 친구관계, 부모자녀관계가 유의하게 나타났고, 학교수준에서 교사학생관계, 학교폭력 예방교육, 학교 내 성비가 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 학교폭력 가해와 피해 경험을 모두 포함하여 빈도별, 유형별로 집단을 한 번에 분류하여 이론적 논의를 확장하였고, 다층자료임을 반영하여 개인수준과 학교수준의 영향요인을 동시에 검증했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

코로나 팬데믹 초기 한국인의 스트레스 대처 양상에 따른 잠재계층 분류와 영향요인 검증 (A Latent Profile Analysis of Stress Coping Strategies among Korean Adults at the Early Stage of the Coronavirus Pandemic(COVID-19) and Verification of Influencing Factors)

  • 본 연구는 잠재프로파일분석을 통해 코로나 팬데믹 초기 한국인의 스트레스-대처 양상을 확인하고, 잠재계층구분에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 인구사회학적 정보(성별, 연령, 가구형태, 경제수준), 코로나로 인한 비일상성(코로나로 인한 두려움, 코로나로 인한 스트레스, 외출 및 일정제약, 코로나로 인한 수입 감소)을 살펴보고, 잠재계층에 따른 심리적 안녕감(삶의 만족감, 우울, 불안)의 차이를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 세계보건기구(WHO)가 코로나 팬데믹을 선언하고, 국내에서 대구·경북지역이 특별재난지역으로 선정된 시기인 2020년 4월 13일 부터~21일까지 성인 600명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시했다. 대처 양상에 따라 모형을 분류한 결과, 4계층('낮은 대처관여 집단 1', '보통 수준의 적응적 대처집단 2', '높은 수준의 적응적 대처집단 3', '적응-부적응 대처 관여집단 4')의 모형적합도가 가장 양호하였다. 또한 인구사회학적 정보에서는 성별, 연령, 경제수준이 잠재계층을 유의하게 구분하였으며, 코로나로 인한 비일상성에서는 두려움, 스트레스, 외출 및 일정제약과 수입 감소가 잠재계층을 유의하게 구분하였다. 또한 잠재계층 간 심리적 안녕감 차이를 확인한 결과, '높은 수준의 적응적 대처집단 3'이 가장 높은 삶의 만족감을 경험하는 것으로 나타났으며, '적응-부적응 대처 관여집단 4'이 가장 높은 우울, 불안을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 논의 및 시사점이 제시되었다.

  • Background: An adequate large-scale pediatric cohort based on nationwide administrative data is lacking in Korea. Purpose: This study established the National Investigation of Birth Cohort in Korea study 2008 (NICKs-2008) based on data from a nationwide population-based health screening program and data on healthcare utilization for children. Methods: The NICKs-2008 study consisted of the Korean National Health Insurance System (NHIS) and the National Health Screening Program for Infants and Children (NHSPIC) databases comprising children born in 2008 (n=469,248) and 2009 (n=448,459) in the Republic of Korea. The NHIS database contains data on age, sex, residential area, income, healthcare utilization (International Classification of Diseases10 codes, procedure codes, and drug classification codes), and healthcare providers. The NHSPIC consists of 7 screening rounds. These screening sessions comprised physical examination, developmental screening (rounds 2-7), a general health questionnaire, and age-specific anticipatory guidance. Results: During the 10-year follow-up, 2,718 children (0.3%) died, including more boys than girls (hazard ratio, 1.145; P<0.001). A total of 848,048 children participated in at least 1 of the 7 rounds of the NHSPIC, while 96,046 participated in all 7 screening programs. A total of 823 infants (0.1%) weighed less than 1,000 g, 3,177 (0.4%) weighed 1,000-1,499 g, 37,166 (4.4%) weighed 1,500-2,499 g, 773,081 (91.4%) weighed 2,500-4,000 g, and 32,016 (5.1%) weighed over 4,000 g. There were 23,404 premature babies (5.5%) in 2008 compared to 23,368 (5.6%) in 2009. The developmental screening test indicated appropriate development in 95%-98% of children, follow-up requirements for 1%-4% of children, and recommendations for further evaluation for 1% of children. Conclusion: The NICKs-2008, which integrates data from the NHIS and NHSPIC databases, can be used to analyze disease onset prior to hospitalization based on information such as lifestyle, eating habits, and risk factors.

국방정보보호를 위한 군(軍) SNS 보호프로파일(PP) 개발에 관한 연구 (Research on Military SNS Protection Profile for National defense)

  • 새로운 커뮤니케이션 플랫폼인 소셜네트워크 서비스(이하 SNS : Social Network Service)는 다양한 정보의 빠른 전달과 함께 상호신뢰를 바탕으로 의사소통을 강화하고 친밀감을 형성해 조직 활성화에 기여하였다. SNS의 사회적 중요성이 높아짐에 따라 군에서도 SNS를 통해 자발적 참여와 신뢰관계 구축을 바탕으로 군내 외 유대감 강화에 활용하고 있다. 그러나 국방 SNS 도입시 개인정보의 노출이나 프라이버시 침해, 군사자료의 유출 등과 같은 역기능은 군에 치명적인 요인이 될 수 있어 이에 대한 보안대책이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 국방 SNS 도입을 위해 SNS 기능별 유형을 분류하고, 유형별 구조를 분석하여 국방 SNS에 필요한 보안기능요구사항을 제시하고자 한다.

Slaughtering Age Effect on Carcass Traits and Meat Quality of Italian Heavy Draught Horse Foals

  • The present work describes the effect of slaughtering age on horse carcass traits and on meat quality. Eighteen male Italian heavy draught horse (IHDH) breed foals were employed in the study. Soon after foaling they were randomly subdivided in 3 groups according to 3 age at slaughtering classes: 6 months old, 11 months old and 18 months old. Live weight, hot carcass weight and dressing percentage of each animal were recorded. After slaughtering, meat samples were collected from Longissimus Dorsi muscle between 13th and 18th thoracic vertebra of each animal and then analyzed. The right half carcass of each animal was then divided in cuts. Each one was subdivided into lean, fat and bones. Then, the classification of the lean meat in first and second quality cuts was performed according to the butchers' customs. Older animals were characterized by a lower incidence of first quality cuts (p<0.01) on carcass. Younger animals showed greater content in protein (p<0.01). Fatty acid profile showed an increasing trend of PUFA connected to the increasing of slaughtering age (p<0.05). The unsaturation index of intramuscular fatty acids was not affected by slaughtering age, confirming that horse meat, if compared to beef, is more suitable from a nutritional point of view. Season influenced reproduction, birth as well as production aspects of this species. The different slaughtering age could represent the way to produce meat of IHDH foals during the entire year without change in the qualitative standard expected by consumers.
