물리학습에서의 인지적 신념과 동기 신념에 대한 공과대학 학생의 인식과 교수자의 기대 비교 (Comparison Engineering Students' Beliefs with Professors' Expectations about the Cognitive Beliefs and the Motivational Beliefs in Learning Physics)

  • 공학 교육에서 물리학의 중요성에도 불구하고, 실제로 공과대학 학생의 물리학습 수행과 관련된 연구는 비교적 적은 편이다. 물리학습의 수행과 관련된 선행연구 결과에 의하면 물리학습에 대한 인지적 신념과 동기 신념은 물리학습에 강하게 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 공과대학 학생의 물리학습에 대한 인지적 신념과 동기 신념에 대한 교수자의 기대와 공과대학 학생의 인식 비교를 통해서, 교육적 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 물리학습에 대한 인지적 신념과 동기 신념의 5가지 하위 차원 중에서, 교수자의 기대와 공과대학 학생의 인식에서 가장 큰 차이를 보인 차원은 기대 차원이었다. 교수자들은 공과대학 학생들이 물리학습에 대해서 자신감을 가지기를 바라는데 비해서, 학생들의 자신감과 기대는 낮은 수준이다. 공과대학 학생에게 물리학을 가르치는 교수자는 이러한 차이를 인식하고, 신념적 측면의 정의적 영역에 관심을 가지고 지도할 필요가 있다. 또한, 공과대학 학생의 물리학습 수행에서의 과제 수행 능력에 대한 신념, 물리학에 대한 목적, 중요성, 흥미 등을 이끌 수 있는 교수 학습 전략을 고안할 필요가 있다.

THE POSSIBILITIES AND DIFFICULTIES ON R&E ACTIVITY FOR IMPROVING THE PROFESSION SKILLS OF SCIENCE GIFTED TEACHER

  • Although over - 600 students in Incheon has been participated in the gifted education programs under the colleges and Office of Education Department every year, it is reported that the number of teachers have insufficient teaching abilities in primary, advanced, and after-advanced gifted classes. The Gifted Education Research Institute in Incheon University introduced R&E activities for the improvement of teachers' abilities in science research and student guiding. Professors in science department conducted the R & E activities to select the research thesis. The professors and the guidance teachers decided the directions of the research, and the guidance teachers who learned from the professors taught 3-5 students to practice the research. Five professor-teacher-student research teams in math, physics, chemistry and biology conducted the research after school and during the vacation for 7 months. The results of the research were submitted to the journals of research activities and the result papers were presented to the seminar. On this research, the possibilities and the difficulties of the R&E activities based of the journals of research activities, oral presentation and the research results reports were analyzed with a purpose of improving the professionalism of the science gifted teachers. Although the professors proposed many difficulties or problems about the R&E activities, the teachers reported that the R & E activities he1ped them to improve their research activities and student guiding techniques. The teachers acquired more knowledge on the principles of the science related areas than before. Moreover, they thought it was very meaningful experience in using the science related instruments, guiding the students' research and writing the research reports. The students also gave the positive responses with the increased interests in new science studies and with the experience of learning the way of research.

치과위생사와 치위생(학)과 교수의 치매에 대한 지식 및 태도와 교육요구도 (Knowledge, attitudes, and educational needs on dementia among dental hygienists and dental hygiene professors)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of standard curriculum on oral health intervention on dementia patients for dental hygienists and dental hygiene professors by identifying the extent of knowledge, attitudes and educational needs on dementia among dental hygienists and dental hygiene professors. Methods: We performed survey to dental hygienists and dental hygiene professors for about 2 months from April to May, 2018. Among them, 325 copies were used for final analysis. Frequencies and percentages were calculated to identify general characteristics of respondents and their dementia-related characteristics, and means and standard deviations were calculated to find out the extent of knowledge, attitudes, and educational needs on dementia among subjects. Multiple regression analysis was performed to investigate the effects on the educational needs on dementia. Results: The analysis on the factors that affect the dementia education needs of the subjects showed that the dementia education necessity (p<0.001) and the dementia attitude (p<0.001) had statistically significant effects on the educational needs on dementia. Conclusions: As a result, dental hygienists who are responsible for oral health intervention of dementia patients need to have proper knowledge about dementia and positive attitude toward dementia patients, so professional education is needed to improve knowledge and positive attitude. This will provide a basis for the dental hygienists to be equipped with the relevant expertise in the intervention in the oral health of dementia patients in the future.

간호교육에서의 전문직 간 교육에 대한 현황과 발전방향 (Current Status and Future Direction of Interprofessional Education in Nursing Education)

  • This study examined the perception and readiness of nursing educators regarding interprofessional education (IPE), and discussed the validity and application of IPE in nursing. From December 2016 to January 2017, 239 nursing professors and nurses completed a structured questionnaire consisting of general characteristics, the Interdisciplinary Education Perception Scale, the Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Survey (RIPLS), and an IPE action plan. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-test using the IBM SPSS ver. 23.0 program (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA). The analysis revealed that 91.6% of the participants had not experienced IPE, and only 11.7% knew about IPE. However, approximately 80.0% answered that IPE is necessary. The results of this study showed that the score of the perceived need for cooperation was higher in nurses than it was in professors, while the score on competency and autonomy was higher in professors than it was in nurses. With reference to the scores on the RIPLS, those of professors were high on the sub-scales of teamwork and collaboration, professional identity, and roles and responsibility. The results revealed that participants considered the upper-grade undergraduate years as the ideal time for imparting IPE, and it was deemed suitable to include communication, simulation, and clinical practice in IPE. Doctors, pharmacists, and physiotherapists were thought to require cooperation for IPE the most. Despite the presence of several barriers to IPE, the participants thought that IPE can achieve learning outcomes such as interprofessional communication and cooperation, conflict resolution, and teamwork. It is necessary to cooperate with professionals in the complex clinical environment as professional areas are specialized and subdivided. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the application of IPE in undergraduate education and in on-the-job training.

의료인 치과위생사의 전문능력 향상을 위한 치위생학과 교육과정 제안 (Dental hygiene curriculum proposals to improve the ability of dental hygienists as medical professionals)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to propose contents of a curriculum and training program for dental hygienists as medical professionals by surveying the opinions of clinical dental hygienists and dental hygiene professors. Methods: The subjects were 192 clinical dental hygienists and 193 dental hygiene professors. They answered questionnaires that consisted of grading each task based on its importance: a) for dental hygiene students to learn, b) to perform autonomously in clinical practice, and c) the expectancy of the task to change when dental hygienists become medical professionals. Data analysis was performed using an independent sample T test to capture differences between clinical dental hygienists and dental hygiene professors. The terms in the answers of open-ended questionnaires were extracted. We used R 3.5.0, R Recommender, and Wordcloud software packages. Results: Calculus removal had the highest scores for dental hygiene students to learn and expectancy to change when dental hygienists become medical professionals. Physiotherapy of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), planning, performing, and assessment of community oral health programs had the lowest scores in autonomy in clinical practice. The dental hygiene professors gave higher scores in most of the tasks for dental hygiene students to learn, autonomy in clinical practice, and expectancy to change, than did clinical dental hygienists. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), job ethics, and communication were the most frequently mentioned terms in the training as medical professionals program contents. Conclusions: In the future, it will be necessary to study the curriculum to improve the proficiency of dental hygienists as medical professionals.

중국 대학교 학장의 분산적 지도성, 조직헌신, 직무만족, 조직효과성의 구조관계 (The Relationship among Deans' Distributed Leadership, the Professor's Organizational Commitment, the Job Satisfaction and Organizational Effectiveness in Chinese Universities)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중국 현지 대학교 학장의 분산적 지도성이 조직효과성에 미치는 영향에서 조직헌신과 직무만족이 어떠한 매개효과를 나타내는지를 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 중국 하북지역의 3개 대학 383명의 교수를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학장의 분산적 지도성은 조직효과성, 조직헌신, 교수의 직무만족에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 학장의 분산적 지도성은 조직효과성에 직접적인 영향을 준다. 셋째, 조직헌신, 직무만족은 분산적 지도성과 조직효과성 관계에서 매개역할을 한다. 따라서 중국대학교의 조직효과성을 높이기 위해서는 학장의 분산적 지도성의 활성화와 함께 교수의 조직헌신과 직무만족 향상의 노력이 필요하다.

Covid-19이후 학생 수업참여를 위한 교수자의 경험 연구 (A Study on the Experiences of Professors for Student Participation after Covid-19)

  • Covid-19이후 대학에서 비대면 수업이 필수적인 수업방식으로 채택되면서 학생의 수업참여를 독려할 수 있는 수업전략에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 수업참여는 교육의 질을 높일 수 있는 선행 요건이기에 비대면 수업에서는 더욱 중요한 요건일 수밖에 없다. 따라서 본 연구는 2020년 이후 비대면 혹은 비대면과 대면 수업의 혼용으로 운영되어 온 D대학의 교수자 3인이 학생의 수업참여를 높이기 위해 시도한 경험과 고민을 살펴 보았다. 그 결과, 비대면 수업 초기 교수자와 학생 모두 시행착오를 거쳤으나 시간이 지남에 따라 학생들은 적극적으로 자신의 의견을 표현할 뿐 아니라 자발적으로 수업활동을 확장시켜 나가는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 교수자 주도의 수업이 대면과 비대면의 적절한 조화와 다양한 매체의 활용으로 학습자 참여형 수업으로 발전할 수 있는 가능성을 발견하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 논의에 필요한 데이터는 자서전적 연구방법을 통해 수집하였다.

간호학과 교수의 비대면 강의 전환 경험 (The Experiences of Transition to Non-face-to-face Lecture in Nursing Professors)

  • 본 연구는 간호학과 교수의 면대면 강의에서 비대면 강의로 전환 경험을 이해하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 연구참여자는 비대면 강의를 적어도 두 학기 이상 진행한 적이 있는 17명의 간호학과 교수이며, 경험적 현상학적 연구방법에 따라 심층적인 개별 면담을 통해 자료를 수집한 후 질적 주제분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 연구결과는 비대면 강의에 따른 변화와 전개과정, 학생과의 관계, 자신과의 관계, 사회적 맥락과 사회성이라는 주제를 중심으로 비대면 강의 전환 경험을 기술하였다. 결론적으로 간호학과 교수들은 사회적 변화 흐름에 따라 첨단 테크놀로지를 활용한 비대면 강의를 자율적으로 선택하여 질 높은 강의를 할 수 있도록 충분한 지원을 받을 수 있기를 기대한다.

이공계 대학교수의 연구생산성 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Determinants of Research Productivity among Professors of Science and Engineering)

  • This study is a critical assessment of research productivity through publication among scientists and engineers. This study scrutinizes previous findings on the correlates and determinant3 of publication productivity: Provides overview and organization of that knowledge ; indicates gape and shortcomings n the research; and identifies the questions and issues which are both answered and unanswered. through the analysis of the 223 mail questionnaires collected from professors of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry and physics, this study obtains the particular determinants of publication productivity at the science and engineering schools in Korea. Especially, early research productivity and the number of doctoral students are very important to publish good research articles. Also the qualities of professors' Ph. D. institution and employing university are critical influencing factors to publication productivity. The data are analyzed using correlation, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis and all the regression models are statistically significant. All the variables in this study are focused on the socialization of individual research scientists and any psychological or personal background variables are excluded, because the perspective of this article is not that of scientific sociologist but of science and technology Policy interest. This study proves that there exists an scriptive advantage according to the individual background such as his Ph. D. institution and employing university in Korea. This study also shows that all research resources and research performances are unequally distributed. This result proposes that supporting basic research at university must begins with relative assessment of researchers, departments, and institutions in consideration with their research environment and to evaluate researchers in compared with excellent research university like SNU, KAIST, POSTECH is unequal and inadequate.

SNS(Social Network Service)가 개인의 학습 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study of Effect of Social Network Service on Individual Learning Performance)

  • 본 연구는 대학에서 이루어지고 있는 강의에 있어 전통적인 오프라인 강의실 강의에 정보기술 발달과 함께 급속도로 확산되고 있는 SNS(Social Network Service)를 접목할 경우 학습성과의 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보기 위해 시작되었다. 이를 위하여 101명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소셜 네트워킹 참여(online social networking engagement)와 사회적 수용(acculturation)은 교수와의 상호작용 품질(interaction quality with professors)에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교수와의 상호작용품질은 협력학습(collaborative learning)과 학습성과(learning performance)에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
