신진 패션 디자이너 제품의 소비자에 대한 고찰 -유행 혁신성과 가격 민감성의 역할을 중심으로- (Identifying the Consumers Purchasing Fashion Products Designed by Emerging Designers -Focused on the Role of Fashion Innovativeness and Price Sensitivity-)

  • The purposes of this study are to (1) explore the characteristics of consumers who purchase products designed by rising fashion designers, and (2) examine the effects of consumer fashion innovativeness and price consciousness on consumer responses toward the products (i.e., product innovativeness, perceived value, and purchase intention). A total of 469 adult consumers aged 19 to 59 responded to an online survey that consisted of a stimulus (i.e., news article introducing new brands of rising fashion designers) and measurement items. As a result, 20% of respondents are found to be customers of rising fashion designers. These buyers (vs. non-buyers) are characterized as female, high income, and high interest toward rising fashion designer products. The findings from structural equation modeling show that fashion innovativeness and price sensitivity have significant, positive effects on product innovativeness and perceived value that further increase purchase intention. These relationships are significant in terms of perceived value dimensions, except for the relationship between social value and purchase intention. Both fashion innovativeness and price sensitivity have significant and positive effects on social, emotional, economical, and functional values. The emotional, economical, and functional values also have significant, positive effects on purchase intention. The implications of these findings are discussed in the conclusion.

농산물 AI 가격 예측을 통한 전자거래 비즈니스 모델 설계 (Design of e-commerce business model through AI price prediction of agricultural products)

  • 농산물은 기상, 기후 등의 변화로 인해 공급이 불규칙하고, 공급량이 10% 하락하면 가격이 50% 상승하는 가격 탄력성이 매우 높다. 이러한 농산물 가격의 변동으로 인해 소상인의 경매를 통해 생산자에게 대금의 안전성을 보장하고 있다. 그러나, 과잉생산으로 가격이 폭락할 경우, 생산자에 대한 보호 조치는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 농산물에 대한 가격을 인공지능 알고리즘으로 예측하여 전자거래 시스템에 활용할 수 있는 비즈니스 모델을 설계하였다. 이를 위해, 학습 패턴 쌍으로 모델을 학습시키고, ARIMA, SARIMA, RNN, CNN을 적용하여 예측 모델을 설계하였다. 최종적으로, 농산물 예측가격 데이터를 단기예측과 중기예측으로 분류하여 검증하였다. 검증 결과, 2018년 데이터를 기반으로 실제 가격과 예측 가격이 91.08%의 정확도를 나타냈다.

유기농 제품 친숙성, 인식된 가치 및 구매 의도 사이의 관계 : 경험적 연구 (The Relationship between Organic Products Familiarity, Perceived Value, and Purchase Intention : An Empirical Study)

  • Product familiarity is vital to assess the purchase intention of consumers. In this study, a conceptual model was proposed to investigate the relationship among organic products familiarity, perceived value (measured by quality, emotional, price and social dimensions), and the purchase intention of students. The model was empirically tested using questionnaire survey data collected from 235 university students. The results reveal that organic products familiarity is positively associated with quality, emotional value, price value and social value. On the other hand, emotional value, price value and social value is also positively associated with purchase intention whereas quality shows insignificant relationship with purchase intention. Overall, the result shows students have positive outlook about their intention to purchase organic products.

  • Facing the international open-trade of agricultural and livestock products, a basic strategy is urgently necessary to improve the domestic livestock industry to an international level. Price and quality competitions are the most important target in international trade. Improvement in productivity of livestock is the most important factor in price competition. In recent trade of livestock products, quality competition becomes more important than price competition in livestock products, and will be severer in the future. Basic strategies for higher productivity and safety of livestock products are listed as follows : 1. Protection from exotic diseases 2. Eradication of indigenous diseases 3. Development of new methods and techniques for control of animal diseases 4. Application of hygiene and management techniques 5. Safety evaluation of feedstuffs and animal drugs, and 6. Development of technique and regulations for prevention and monitoring of residue of harmful chemicals.

FTA 이후, 국내 수입수산물 가격의 환율전가도 변화 (The Change in Exchange Rate Pass-Through into Import Price of the Post-FTA Import Market for Fishery Products in South Korea)

  • The effect of change in exchange rates on an economy is very important, especially, to a small open economy like South Korea. I explore whether Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) have positive influences on exchange rate-pass through import price of import market for fishery products in South Korea. Competition among FTA partners is enhanced after FTAs are effective. I expect that the extent to which are exchange rate pass-through (hereafter, ERPT) into import price of fishery products (in terms of Korea currency) would be reduced since the import market for fishery products in South Korea is an oligopolistic market. Specifically, I investigate two research questions with six South Korea's FTA partners-Norway, Thailand, Peru, U.S., China and Vietnam. First, whether the extent to which are exchange rate pass-through into import price of fishery products from six FTA partners would decrase in the post-FTA era; seconds, the size of reduction has a negative relation with the size of their market share in the import market for fishery products in South Korea if it decreases. The empirical results indicate that the degree of ERPT into import price from other FTA partners than Norway has been reduced after FTA, statistically and significantly; however, I do not find the evidence that the size of reduction is related to their market share. The findings in this study imply that FTAs have negative effects on producers' economic welfare in South Korea's fishery industry by reducing the extent to which are exchange rate pass-through as well as reducing tariff barriers.

Buying Korean Products through Overseas Direct Purchase as a Distribution Means in China

  • Purpose: This study focuses on the buying Korean products by Chinese consumers through overseas direct purchase as a distribution means (tool) because they are interested in Korean products because of their excellence. Major variables are national brand, curiosity, price, product quality. Research design, data, and methodology: To make effective analysis, several tools and programs for analysis are used with SPSS Statistics ver. 23.0 and AMOS 23.0. Results: National brand, price, product quality have affirmative impacts on satisfaction and repurchase through overseas direct purchase. But curiosity does not have. Among them the most important variable is product quality. This is the same as Chinese consumers think product quality is the most valuable one when buying Korean products through overseas direct purchase. Next one is price. The last one is a national brand. Conclusions: Among the variables of overseas direct purchase, product quality has the biggest impact on satisfaction and repurchase positively. This means that many Chinese consumers are interested in product quality manufactured in Korea. Also Korean product quality is better than that of China until now. Korean companies should, strongly and continuously, have to improve the quality of Korean products because China focuses on product quality in the distribution process in the national base.

  • 농산물은 일상 소비의 필수품으로서 도소매 시장의 많은 부분을 차지하며, 농산물의 소비와 가격은 농산물의 수급, 소비자 지출, 농업 가계소득에 영향을 미친다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 LSTM을 이용해 농산물 거래, 기상관측, 관세청 품목별 수출입 실적, 신선식품 지수 데이터를 사용해 단위가격 예측에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 농산물의 수급관리와 도소매 시장에서의 적정한 가격을 연구하기 위해 채소가격 안정제 대상 품목 중 소비자물가지수 가중치가 높은 마늘, 배추, 양파를 대상으로 단위가격을 예측한다.

저가화장품 사용실태와 구매만족도 - 여대생을 중심으로 - (The Use and Satisfaction of Low Price Cosmetics Among Female College Students)

  • The aim of this study is to promote an appropriate consumption culture given the features of the segmented female college student group and to utilize these features as basic data at the level of consumer education. The lifestyle of female college students will be identified, along with the current use and customer satisfaction of low price cosmetics that are aimed at this group. The conclusion will be proposed on the basis of the results of this study: Firstly, low price cosmetics producers need to develop products that satisfy the needs of customers and to establish marketing strategies such as sales promotions according to the current trend. Secondly, in order to establish rational purchasing, it is necessary to promote an appropriate consumption culture by offering consumer education to college students. Thirdly, most consumers equate brands with quality. Therefore, companies need to continually produce quality products that may be differentiated from other low price cosmetics, not only in terms of price but also in terms of product quality, in order to enhance the reliability of their brand. Furthermore, it is necessary for consumers to be able to purchase products by considering product quality through searching for diverse information and not merely by depending on any particular brand.

소비자의 쇼핑가치와 사용목적 및 사회적 상황에 따른 가격민감도 비교 (Comparison of Price Sensitivity based on the Shopping Value, Purpose of Use and Social Situation)

  • This research investigates the factors influencing price sensitivity in fashion products. This study incorporates three essential variables, which were likely to influence price sensitivity: the subjective shopping value of consumers, objective purpose of use, and social situation according to the shopping companions of consumers. A sample of young adult consumers (who had purchase experience of fashion products during the last six-months) was surveyed using a self-administered questionnaire. A 3-way ANOVA was used to evaluate the data. The results show that the utilitarian shopping value of consumers was more sensitive in price than the hedonic shopping value and a self-using purchase was more sensitive in price than a gift-giving purchase. In addition, a correlation effect was significant between the purpose of use and social situation. In addition, the correlation effect among all of the three variables was also significant.

A Test of the Underlying Processes of the Price-Induced Quality Perception

  • It is well known that consumer's quality perception is strongly affected by price. Higher priced products tend to be perceived to have better quality than lower priced products although the objective product quality is the same. However, it is less known the process through which quality perception is affected by price cues. The existing literature suggests three potential hypotheses (i.e., the selectiveprocessing hypothesis, the selective interpretation hypothesis, and the representativeness heuristic hypothesis) that explain the underlying processes of the price-induced quality perception. The current research tests among the three competing hypotheses and also examines the role of consumer knowledge as a moderating factor. An experiment was conducted to test the moderating role of the knowledge in the price-quality relationship and to investigate the underlying process. The results indicate that theinfluence of price on perceived quality differs between novices and experts. Expert consumers' quality perception is not significantly influenced by price and this finding is consistent with the extant literature. On the other hand, novice consumers' quality perception is affected by price and the tests on the underlying process support for the representativeness heuristic hypothesis. Novice consumers assess that a high-priced brand should have good product quality due to the belief that high (low) price brands represent better (worse) brand quality and such a representativeness heuristic occurs without involving selective attention or selective interpretation price-consistent information.
