Doxorubicin is a clinically important anticancer polyketide compound that is typically produced by Streptomyces peucetius var. caesius. To improve doxorubicin productivity by S. peucetius, a doxorubicin pathway-specific regulatory gene, dnrI, was cloned into a high-copy-number plasmid containing a catechol promoter system. The S. peucetius containing the recombinant plasmid exhibited approximately 9.5-fold higher doxorubicin productivity compared with the wild-type S. peucetius. The doxorubicin productivity by this recombinant S. peucetius strain was further improved through the optimization of culture media composition. Based on the Fractional Factorial Design (FFD), cornstarch, $K_2HPO_4$, and $MgSO_4$ were identified to be the key factors influencing doxorubicin productivity. The Response Surface Method (RSM) results based on 20 independent culture conditions with varying amounts of key factors predicted the highest theoretical doxorubicin productivity of 11.1 mg/l with corn starch of 46.33 g/l, $K_2HPO_4$ of 4.63 g/l, and $MgSO_4$ of 9.26 g/l. The doxorubicin productivity of the recombinant S. peucetius strain with the RSM-based optimized culture condition was experimentally verified to be 11.46 mg/l, which was approximately 30.8-fold higher productivity compared with the wild-type S. peucetius without culture media optimization.

Construction market structure give to third subcontract from contractor that received bid. A general contractor is subcontract to subcontractor that construct final product. When the subcontractor is related with productivity on the site, a study is lack to subcontractor productivity. The property of construction industry include many subcontractor at one project. If a subcontractor will improve productivity, total productivity would improve on the site. We will understand about subcontractor productivity and suggest about productivity method.

Carbon productivity is an efficiency concept, well suited to maximizing product/service(economic) value of firms and minimizing environmental impact($CO_2$ emissions). This study investigates the causal relationship between carbon productivity (eco-efficiency) and financial performance in Korean firms. The result shows that firms improving carbon productivity are able to gain superior financial performance. The analysis also show that changes in financial performance have a positive impact on the improvement of carbon productivity. However this study reports that carbon productivity does not have a long-run impact on financial performance and vice versa. Finally, the results also show that differences exist in the relationship between carbon productivity and financial performance when grouped by industry characteristics.

This contributing proportion of the increase of port productivity is more increasing concerning not only the port industry, but also all the informations of container crane which is the representative equipment by the rapid increase of the volume of freight of port. The basic of rapid service is the improvement of the productivity, the information of operation as to the productivity of crane for the quick handling within yard and especially the informations of breakdown and to handle breakdown as soon as possible has a greate effect on the increase of productivity.

Researchers have different views on impact of information system use on productivity. The differences are fueled by 'the productivity paradox' insisted by Brynjofsson(1993). This paper intend to quantitate impacts of information system and to test the productivity paradox of using the information system. Restricted Maximumlikelihood Estimation(RMLE) method is applied on data from 81 farms adopting Pigplan system. The results find positive productivity improvement with information systems in swine farm. Adopting Pigplan system increases 0.52 in PSY(pigs per sow per year) and 0.087 in sow turnover. When it comes to region and farm size, region has impact on both PSY and sow turnover, while farm size does not. This result infers that local cooperatives, regardless of farm size, differentiate the impacts of the information system, implying that the ability to utilize information systems should be improved in organizational level.

Productivity enhancement program of wind tunnel testing has begun at Korea Aerospace Research Institute Low Speed Wind Tunnel (KARI LSWT). A previous test record of a canard airplane model was adopted to examine the current status of wind tunnel testing efficiency. The time consumed to perform testing activities from the model preparation to data collection was broken down and the results were compared with those of the recent Boeing low speed test result. The efforts to improve the wind tunnel productivity consisted of the installation of mini crane underneath of test section, fabricating lift device for image fairings, model configuration changing rigs and the modifications of external balance system. Time reductions for changing strut interface platform and installation of image fairings. These effects showed more than 70% improvement over the previous test time. Integration of the new and modified systems will improve productivity of wind tunnel testing in KARI LSWT.

KORAIL continuously drives practical reforms of change and originality both internally and externally for the purpose of adapting to rapidly changing circumstance and promote productivity of the organization. Various management strategies are needed to increase its productivity, yet the fist thing to be considered is to select talented human resources. A selection of the human resource should be conducted based on 3R(Right People, Right Place, Right Time). This study empirically analyzes through actual study how the method of new employment introduced on January 1, 2005 positively affects capability and productivity of each member of KORAIL. The area of this study is defined centering on the standard of new employment, capability of personnel, and productivity of the organization. Also, the improvement of new employment standard of KORAIL is suggested as significance of the standard was verified through survey of the standard, the capability and the productivity conducted to KORAIL working personnel.
