Study on Influence of Standardization of Agricultural Product Packages on Cost in Hypermarekts

  • Although dictionary definition of standardization is 'to prevent disordered complexity and to make and use rules for reasonable simplification or unification, from a position of shop-floor operations of distribution, it is directly connected to efficiency, that is 'productivity equals cost savings'. This study analyzed influence of standardization of agricultural product packages in hypermarkets on costs in stakeholders of distribution channel such as suppliers, distribution centers and hypermarkets. The research findings demonstrated that it would influence manufacturing costs of suppliers and improve shop productivity of hypermarkets.

  • The widespread dissemination of the green building certification system has led to the ongoing development of information management technologies with the aim to effectively utilize construction product information. Among them, a data crawling technology enables to collect the data conveniently and to manage large volumes of construction product information in Korea and overseas. However, without a standardized classification system, it is difficult to efficiently utilize information, and problems such as an additional work for classifying information or information-sharing errors. Therefore, this study suggests to present a necessity for the standardization of the information classification system through expert interviews, and to compare construction product classification systems in Korea and overseas. This study is expected to present a necessity for the effective management of construction product information and the standardization of information-sharing with regard to various construction certifications.

제품안전분야의 국내표준 개발을 위한 로드맵의 개발 (Development of a Road-map for Promoting Product Safety Standards)

  • In 2002 Product Liability Act newly got into effect in Korea so that efforts for Product Safety got a new chance to promote safety standardization. Under the supervision of the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (ATS) and the Korea Standards Association (KSA), the enterprise titled "Standardization of Product Safety" took the first step in 2000. Thenceforth a lot of standards and guidelines for product safety have been developed. The results of the enterprise were in the type of technical manual as well as report, technical guidelines, and specific technical safety standards. In this paper, the authors narrated those sequential efforts for Product Safety, and introduced the basic concept on which standardization of Product Safety Management System was conducted and individual safety standard has been developed. Based on this systematic concept, a global road-map as well as specific road-maps for developing safety standards in individual industry were supplied. Finally, suggestions for proceeding to the whole risk management system including other risky factors were appended.

  • In this work, standardization trends related carbon nanotubes and international standardization activities in the ISO/TC229 and IEC/TC113 were introduced. The movement toward development of carbon nanotube standard began in the nanotechnology council under the IEEE in 2005. KATS has also run the carbon nanotube standardization committee to support commercialization of product containing carbon nanotube through standards since 2004. The Korean Standards such as KSD2711, 2712, 2717 were established.

수출성과와 수출마케팅변수의 적응화/표준화 수준에 관한 연구 - 뉴질랜드의 수출기업 사례를 중심으로 - (Study for Export Performance and Adaptation/Standardization Level on Marketing Variables -the cases of New Zealand Exporting Companies-)

  • 수출성과는 수출마케팅 연구의 핵심적인 주제이다. 본 연구는 기업이 해외 수출시장전략으로 선택한 적응화 전략과 표준화 전략이 실제로 마케팅 변수에 실행된 수준과 그 결과 획득된 수출성과 사이에 어떤 상관성이 있는지를 탐구함으로써 적응화와 표준화의 전략적 활용성을 높이는데 도움을 주고자 하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석은 우리나라 수출시장으로 진출하고 있는 뉴질랜드의 수출기업을 대상으로 하였다. 적응화와 표준화는 전략 실행의 정도와 수준을 의미하는 연속적인 개념으로 각각 강점과 약점을 가지고 있다. 실증분석 결과 적응화 전략의 경우 수출성과(만족과 불만족한 수출사업)의 차이는 제품 변수보다는 가격, 장소, 촉진 변수에서 유의미하게 나타난 반면, 표준화 전략의 경우 가격, 장소, 촉진 변수보다는 제품 변수에서 수출성과의 차이가 발견되었다. 이는 기업이 해외 수출시장을 공략할 때 제품 변수는 표준화 노력을 그리고 가격, 장소, 촉진 변수는 적응화의 노력을 기울일 때 만족한 수출성과를 얻게 될 가능성이 높다는 점을 시사해주고 있다.

  • For the B2B e-commerce and SCM (Supply Chain Management), standardization of electronic catalogue that contains product and business data is important. Especially, standardization of hierarchies that is required for categorization, and standardization of product properties are difficult and costly to maintain. The ability of searching for items and data in databases is critical for successful e-commerce system. This paper introduces the data dictionary of PUB (ISO 13584) part 42 which can establish the standard of product data. The method is applied to develop the data dictionary of automotive parts.

국제신제품시판 시간효율성에 대한 본사-자회사간 협력의 영향에 관한 연구 (The Impact of HQ-subsidiary Cooperation on Time Efficiency in International Rollout)

  • 본 연구는 신제품개발 시의성, 표준화 및 국제신제품시판 시의성간의 관계에 대해 본사-자회사간 협력의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 검증결과는 본사-자회사간 협력이 신제품개발 시의성과 국제신제품시판 시의성간의 관계에 대해 조절효과를 보였다. 그러나 본사-자회사간 협력은 표준화와 국제신제품시판 시의성간의 관계에 대해 조절효과를 보이지 않고 있다. 기업에서 본사와 자회사간 긍정적인 관계, 오픈 커뮤니케이션, 정규적인 상호작용을 갖는 경우에는 개발된 신제품이 해외시장에 더욱 빠르게 출시됨을 알 수 있다. 즉, 당초 계획한 시간프레임에서 개발한 제품들이 보다 빠르게 해외목표 국가시장에 출시하는데 본사와 자회사간 긍정적이고 효과적인 협력관계가 중요함을 보여준다.

  • Electronic catalog is a kind of electronic document to exchange product and service data for B2B or B2C EC(electronic commerce). Up to date a lot of selution/service providers which develop EC systems such as shopping malls, have constructed electronic catalogs. However, they use different contents, formats, and exchange methods without a standardized concept and consistent definition of components. This causes problems that time and cost to develop catalogs are duplicated and data exchange across e-marketplaces is difficult. In order to resolve these problems, standardization works for electronic catalog are carried out inside and outside the country. In this paper, we introduce types of standards concerned with electronic catalog, trends of standardization activities, and domestic standardization activities by industry such as electronics, automobile, shipbuilding, heavy industry, steel, electricity, construction, distribution, biomedical, and textile.
