In order to implement this smart factory, the most fundamental element is to establish product specifications for factors affecting the product, obtain useful data to analyzed and predicted, and maintain safety. But most manufacturers have many errors. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to verify factors of product through statistical techniques and to study the process control and safety.

  • It is hot issue to get the competitiveness of product through reliability-growth as well as availability and safety in almost high-technology industry including military, chemistry, nuclear, telecommunication, transportation service and so on. In advanced countries, worldwide leading companies have tried to improve and develop high-reliability product as well as reliability management system(IEC60300). We investigate reliability certification systems for product and management system. Additionally, we study the feasibility on the adoption of dependability management system(IEC60300) by empirical survey on companies with product-reliability certification(R-mark) in Korea.

  • Product liability as a process has developed significantly in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The safety of the product becomes one of the most important elements in modern corporate management. The rapid introduction of product liability has recently been a prevalent phenomenon, as global changes arising from rapid development in science and the economy have resulted in a highly interconnected world economy. This thesis was established, based on current literature and business consulting cases in the position of companies, and is one of the operating subjects in a system for legal responsibility in manufactured products.

  • In this paper, a new method of product function analysis is presented to categorize various design information generated in product development processes. In order to improve product functions, designers must understand unit functions and modified parts of products. The product function analysis (PFA) is based on the designer's understanding of product functions. The proposed PFA provides the methodology to classify the various functions systematically and understand the relation between functions easily. Using this approach, efficient design support system can be developed and used for designers to support decision-making with design knowledge.

  • The purpose of the research is to discuss the product safety procedures for the food area. The producer and supplies of the products should be able to satisfy the needs of the increasing consumer safety. The products, for the purpose of developing and making safe products, must perform Hazard Finding and Risk Analysis to detect potential danger to mike sure the final safety measures are in place. The purpose of Product liability rests finally with the consumer safety and the manufacturer's capability compete in the marketplace. Especially this is important for the food industry. But, our domestic middle and small food industries, it is relatively weak in this are. Thus this research would like to present a easily usable product safety procedures.

To develop and produce safe products, the food industry must rigorously perform potential hazard findings and very thorough risk analysis to detect even the very minute potential danger. The ultimate product liability rests with the consumer safety and the manufacturer's capability which competes in the market places. This is especially important in the food industry. However, small to medium sized food producing companies are facing challenges in this area due to their overall capabilities. Therefore this research presents safety procedures which are relatively simple to implement.

A Product Risk Assessment based on Scenario for Safety Management (제품안전관리를 위한 시나리오 기반의 리스크 평가기법 연구)

  • In this study, a risk assessment method based on scenario for the product safety management in Korea has been developed and proposed. To this end, Korea's related regulations for product safety management should be analyzed first, and the risk assessment method necessary for the enforcement of the regulations is presented by itemizing the method into the case of general injury and toxic substances. The features of the method presented in this study are as follows: (i) It is a method based on the injury scenario which can occur during the use of product. (ii) It assesses a risk based on the probability of the scenario and the severity of injury. (iii) In the case of toxic substances, it assesses a risk considering the hazard of the toxic substances on the human body and the severity of injury. To determine the probability of the injury scenario, this study has decomposed the scenario into several configuration factors and estimates each factor's probability to calculate the whole scenario's probability. The results of risk assessment through the method of this study are presented and it is shown that the method can be applied to the product classification for the product safety management.
