Evolutionary Operation with Many Process Variables (다수의 공정변수가 있는 경우의 진화적 조업법)

  • Evolutionary operation is useful to improve on-line full-scale manufacturing processes by systematically changing the levels of the process variables while meeting production schedule. Evolutionary operation was developed using two or three process variables for process operators who are not good at statistics. Recently, when a product is developed, it is very important for the engineers to make the production line stable as soon as possible. And there are many causes which have influences to the product performance. This paper presents an evolutionary operation procedure with many process variables using saturated two level fractional factorial designs including Plackett-Burman design.

Feature Configuration Verification Using JESS Rule-based System (JESS 규칙 기반 시스템을 이용한 특성 구성 검증)

  • Feature models are widely used in domain engineering phase of software product lines development to model the common and variable concepts among products. From the feature model, the feature configurations are generated by selecting the features to be included in target product. The feature configuration represents the requirements for the specific product to be implemented. Although there are a lot of researches on how to build and use the feature models and feature configurations, the researches on the formal semantics and reasoning of them are rather inactive. This paper proposes the feature configuration verification approach based on JESS, java-based rule-base system. The Graph Product Line, a standard problem for evaluating the software product line technologies, is used throughout the paper to illustrate this approach. The approach in this paper has advantage of presenting the exact reason causing inconsistency in the feature configuration. In addition, this approach should be easily applied into other software product lines development environments because JESS system can be easily integrated with Java language.

On-line control of product uniformity for quality improvement (품질향상을 위한 제품 균일성의 On-Line 제어)

  • In off-line process optimization, process parameters are controlled such that the process is robust against changes in equipment conditions and incoming materials. The off-line methods, however, are not effective when the changes are so large that process parameters need to be adjusted. On-line control can respond to such large changes, but process uniformity has not been controlled on-line due to the difficulties in modeling. This paper is aimed at developing a new on-line control methodology where the uniformity is controlled effectively. The process variability is categorized based on the physical considerations, and the process parameters are classi- fied considering their effects on the categorized process variabilities. On-line control is performed with the properly selected process parameters so that robustness may not be degraded. The developed methodology is applied to the single wafer plasma etching processes, which resulted in both higher within-a-wafer uniformity and compens- ation of the incoming material non-uniformity.

  • Purpose: There are lots of efforts to increase the revenue of on-line travel agency due to the extreme competition in the hospitality industry. One of the way to improve the revenue is applying new concepted service for their business. In this study, it is introduced an innovative system design of hotel reservation for the on-line travel agency using the concept of an opaque product. Methods: By adopting the opaque product at the hotel reservation system, the reservation requests can increase because the customer tends to feel that they purchase the hotel service with relatively cheap price. The overall process for an innovative hotel reservation system is presented and the core algorithm to implement this system is also suggested through a mathematical model based optimization method. Results: To validate and to examine the proposed process and core algorithm, a numerical example is provided with the modified data of the hotels in Seoul metropolitan city. The discount prices and the overall revenue of hotels are generated according to hotel grade. Conclusion: It is confirmed that the revenue of the hotel tends to increase according to its grade. This is because that the customer want to use the new service which applying the concept of opaque product when the higher discount ratio are decided for lower grade hotels.

  • In the Product Line Engineering (PLE), current studies about an analysis of the feature have uncertain and ad-hoc criteria of analysis based on developer’s intuition or domain expert’s heuristic approach and difficulty to extract explicit features from a product in a product line because the stakeholders lack comprehensive understanding of the features in feature modeling. Therefore, this paper proposes a model of the analyzing commonality and variability of the feature based on the Ontology. The proposed model in this paper suggests two approaches in order to solve the problems mentioned above: First, the model explicitly expresses the feature by making an individual feature attribute list based on the meta feature modeling to understand common feature. Second, the model projects an analysis model of commonality and variability using the semantic similarity between features based on the Ontology to the stakeholders. The main contribution of this paper is to improve the reusability of distinguished features on developing products of same line henceforth.

A Quality System for Evaluating Reusability of Core Assets in Product Line Engineering (프로덕트 라인 공학의 핵심자산 재사용성 평가를 위한 품질시스템)

  • Product line engineering (PLE) is a new effective approach to software reuse, where applications are generated by instantiating a core asset which is a large-grained reuse unit. Hence, a core asset is a key element of PLE, and therefore the reusability of the core asset largely determines the success of PLE projects. A tore asset is a reusable part not a whole system, and supports not only variable functions but also common functions. However, there are limitations to evaluate reusability of core asset that has these unique characteristics. This paper proposes a comprehensive quality system for evaluating the reusability of core assets, based on ISO/IEC 9126. We first identify the key characteristics of core assets, and derive the set of quality attributes that characterizes the reusability of core assets. finally, we define metrics for each quality attribute. In addition, we provide guidelines for applying the metrics and perform a case study based on rental product line. Using the proposed quality system, reusability of core assets can be more effectively and correctly evaluated.

  • 제품계열공학(Product Line Engineering, PLE)은 효과적인 재사용 기법으로, 핵심자산(Core Asset) 개발 프로세스와 어플리케이션 공학 프로세스로 구성된다. 핵심자산 개발 프로세스는 제품계열의 여러 어플리케이션들의 공통 휘쳐(Feature)들을 모델링 한 핵심자산 개발에 사용된다. 어플리케이션 공학 프로세스에서 핵심자산을 인스턴스화(instantiation)하고, 핵심자산이 제공하지 않는 어플리케이션 종속적인 기능을 모델링 한 후, 이 두 모델을 통합하여 목표 어플리케이션을 생성 개발한다. 현재의 제품계열공학 연구는 핵심자산 개발과 인스턴스화 과정에 집중되어 있고, 어플리케이션 공학 프로세스의 연구는 개념적 수준에 머물고 있다. 특히, 인스턴스화된 핵심자산 모델과 어플리케이션 종속 모델의 통합의 실용적 기법이 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 어플리케이션 공학 프로세스의 주요 활동들에 대한 작업 순서와 실용적 지침을 제공한다.

  • We need many assembly lines to produce industrial product such as automobiles that require a lot of composited parts. Big portion of such assembly line are still operated by manual works of human. Such manual works sometimes cause critical error that may produce artifacts. Also, once the assembly is completed, it is really hard to verify whether of not the product has some error. In this paper, for monitoring behaviors of manual human work in an assembly line automatically, we proposes a realtime hybrid monitoring system that combines 2D vision sensor tracking technique with 3D motion recognition sensors.

  • 현재 제품계열 공학에서 feature 중심의 공통성 및 가변성 분석을 통한 재사용성에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 지금까지는 도메인 전문가의 직관 및 경험에 의해 feature가 분석되어 그 개념의 불명확함으로 재사용 측면에서 제한점을 내포하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 개별 feature 속성 List 작성을 통해 feature간의 의미관계를 중심으로 한 Pattern 분석 방법을 제시하고, 의미 유사성 관계를 적용한 feature 온톨로지 그래프를 이용하여 S/W 제품계열 도메인 공학에서 사용자와 개발자간의 동일한 해석이 가능하고 재사용성을 위한 명시적 feature를 분석 및 추출하는 모델을 제안한다.
