CPC (Collaborative Product Commerce) 개념의 설계 지원 시스템 개발 (Development of Design Supporting System considering CPC concept)

  • A research shows that a new category of software, Collaborative Product Commerce (CPC), is now emerging, allowing discrete manufacturers to once again distinguish themselves on their products and innovations. CPC permits discrete manufacturers to significantly improve the core processes around the management functions associated with the complete product life cycle that are the basis of their existence. As a way to develop computing tools of CPC to support a design process of product, a web-based design supporting system was constructed in the paper. The system consists of C-Product system and Net Meeting Communication system to improve communications between designers and persons for verification of design. The product data files of C-Product system were designed by Pro/Engineer and converted to 3D Viewer format for being used in the web browser. Also, Net Meeting Communication system and Database were developed using ASP and Microsoft SQL 2000 Server to share diverse files that can be utilized to design on the web in real time.

온라인 점포에서 의류상품특성이 고객만족, 고객신뢰, 고객충성도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Apparel Product Attributes on Customer Satisfaction, Trust, and Loyalty in Online Stores)

  • Customers’ loyalty to an online store may be worth up to ten times as much as its average customer. To develop a loyal customer base, most online stores try their best to continually satisfy their customers and to generate long-run relationships with them. This study investigates the effects of product attributes on customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty in the context of online shopping for apparels. A self-administered questionnaire with multi-item scale was developed based on literatures. A total of 356 usable questionnaires were obtained from respondents and were analyzed using by LISREL 8.54 Program. The results showed that attributes of apparel products (e.g., products variety, price, and information) have indirectly influenced customer loyalty, which are moderated by customers’ satisfaction and trust. Additionally, customer satisfaction plays an important role to develop customer loyalty of online apparel stores. The findings suggest that, to satisfy their customers, online apparel stores should focus on product variety, and reasonable/economic prices of their apparel products, while they should provide the information about contents/care of apparels in building trusting relationships with their customers. In light of the major findings, this study sets forth strategic implications for customer loyalty in online settings of apparel store.

소프트웨어 제품 군을 개발하기 위한 점진적 방법 (Incremental Method for Developing Software Product Family)

  • 소프트웨어 제품 군 개발 방법은 모든 멤버 시스템에 대한 공통점과 차이점들을 분석하여 표준 소프트웨어 구조와 컴포넌트들을 개발하여 생산라인을 갖추고, 제품 개발 조직에서 여러 버전을 병행하여 생산하고 관리하는 방법이다. 기존의 제품 군 방법은 성공하였을 경우에 경제적 이익은 크나, 초기 투자비가 매우 크다는 것과 첫 제품이 늦게 나온다는 것이 문제점으로 지적되고 있다. 이 논문에서 우리는 초기 비용을 적게 들이면서 궁극적으로 제품군 개발 방법을 조직에 적용할 수 있는 점진적 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 초기 버전을 개발할 때부터 변화 가능성에 관한 정보를 기록하여 차기 버전의 개발에 활용한다. 이 변화 분석의 결과는 본격 제품 군 개발로의 전환을 쉽게 해 준다. 변화 가능성을 기록하는 변경 사양서의 생성과 개선 기법을 중심으로 우리의 방법을 설명하고, YBS 시스템 개발을 예로 그 적용을 보인다. 우리가 제안한 방법은 초기에 많은 투자를 할 수 없거나 초기버전을 빨리 시장에 내 놓아야 하는 경우에 적용할 수 있는 저 위험 제품 군 개발 방법이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an insurance system for product quality liability(PQL) by reviewing some legal issues concerning the product liability It is concluded that the purpose and the function of PQL insurance have to be considered with robust experience data for the life of product, quality system of the company, size of company, the number and amount of products produced by a company and the type of company etc. And this article reviews some problems of policy including the possibility of anti-selection and reverse selection.

SiC 질 공업용 도자기 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of SiC-containing Technical Porecelain Body)

  • SiC-containing by-product from the surface abrasion process of porcelain cores is used as a starting material to develop the SiC-containing technical porcelain bodies. To prevent the bloating phenomenon of by-product specimen at firing temperature, it is acid treated. In order to enhance the workability and to lower the firing temperature of bodies, clay is added. Body containing 25% clay and 75% by-product fired at 135$0^{\circ}C$ showes extremely high thermal shock resistance and acid resistance.

  • There are various types of PLM(product liability management) according to corporation management level. It is necessary to develop diagnostic methods and application systems for PLM as well as to establish an efficient PLM system. This paper aims to propose a PLM system which can be applied to product with high-reliability and high-safety, and diagnostic methods for PLM based on AHP, and also show an empirical application of the proposed PL management system for Auto Test Robot System of the Mobile Phone (EVT 4320).

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the organizational design and management of product development in creating new product architecture by an established firm. For the purpose, the paper put up the organizational design in the process of PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) development of Sharp and Casio which were Japanese major PDA firms in 1990s. PDA is the product born through architectural change from Electronic Organizer. Prior research on the product architecture change and organizational adaptation emphasized that an established firm is difficult to adapt to new product architecture due to the restriction of prior technology or organizational inertia. For overcoming these problems and successful development of new product architecture, organizational design and management in the process of product development becomes essential. In case of Sharp, corporate development project team had been used to overcome the restrictions from architectural knowledge accumulated through previous product. After launching first new PDA by corporate development project team, Sharp created a new division and pushed an evolution of PDA, when new PDA market start to grow up rapidly toward a major market segmentation. As a result, Sharp was able to build up stable PDA project trajectory. However, Casio was late for three years in launching of new PDA architecture because previous division charging of Electronic Organizer tried to develop first new PDA. Casio's PDA development was prohibited by engineers of previous division because new PDA architecture was inferior on user interface and display definition. That is, Casio's first PDA development was restricted by architectural knowledge of previous product.

Organizational Behavior of Established Firms to a Disruptive Innovation : The Case of NEC's Behavior in the Japanese Laptop Computer Industry

  • This paper analyzes organizational behavior of an established firm when disruptive innovation, a change in product architecture, occurs on a previous product. For the analysis, the paper analyzes and compares the behavior of an established fm through product trajectories between NEC (an established firm) and Toshiba (a new entrance) in the Japanese laptop computers industry. An established firm that has developed and produced a previous product is difficult in adapting to a disruptive innovation due to accumulated immense knowledge through a previous product. By using regression model in the product trajectory analysis, the paper analyzes the behavior of established firms. Product trajectory means a pattern of product strategy shown in a series of products. Two facts found in the paper are as follows. First, though NEC was able to develop a laptop computer at the same time with Toshiba, it was restricted by the resources of a previous product in the early stage. Second, possibility of teaming trap in the adapting process was found. The paper found the risk that too much commitment in one evolution stage would prohibit the adapting behavior in the next evolution stage.

한국의 기능성 유제품 표시제도 개선방안 (Amendment Scheme of Labeling Regulation for Functionality of Dairy Products)

  • The labeling for functionality of food or food components are recognized globally and are essential for the growth of dairy product industry. To expand the functional claims of dairy product especially fermented milk product, the regulations restricting the labeling of functionality should be amended as soon as possible. The labeling regulations of functionality and efficacy for processed and functional foods in related Acts and subordinated statues such as definition, scope of claims, etc. were reviewed and the problems existed in the system were identified. The definition and classification of efficacy for processed food in Food Sanitation Act were analyzed to revise the labeling regulation of dairy product. A draft of amended labeling regulation for the functionality of dairy product is proposed, which provides consumers with appropriate information of beneficial effects on health purpose for human body structure and function. In order to develop the dairy products and related industries, these contents should be considered when the annexed Table 14 in the Enforcement Rule of the Processing of Livestock Products Act is amended.
