Applications of REBa2Cu3O7-δ tapes require joints with a simple manufacturing process, low resistance and good mechanical properties. In the present study, we successfully developed a copper diffusion joint between Cu-stabilized REBa2Cu3O7-δ tapes that meets the above requirements without solder simply by applying flux, heat and pressurization. After a 3 min thermocompression process at approximately 150 δ and 336 MPa in air, two tapes were directly connected between Cu stabilizers by copper diffusion, which was proven by microstructure analysis. The specific resistivity of the copper diffusion joint reached 5.8 nΩ·cm2 (resistance of 0.4 nΩ for a 306 mm splicing length) at 77 K in the self-field. The axial tensile stress reached 200 N without critical current degradation. The results show promise for the preparation of copper diffusion joints to be used in coils, attached tapes, and wire/cable terminals.

In this study, we introduce a Na β"-alumina composite thick film as a solid electrolyte, to reduce the resistance of electrolyte for a Na/S battery. An alumina/zirconia composite material was used to enhance the mechanical properties of the electrolyte. A solid electrolyte of about 40 ㎛ thick was successfully fabricated through the conversion and tape-casting methods. In order to investigate the effect of the surface treatment process of the solid electrolyte on the battery performance, the electrolyte was polished by dry and wet processes, respectively, and then the Na/S batteries were prepared for analyzing the battery characteristics. The battery with the dry process performed much better than the battery made with the wet process. As a result, the battery manufactured by the dry process showed excellent performance. Therefore, it is confirmed that the surface treatment process of the solid electrolyte has an important effect on the battery capacity and coulombic efficiency, as well as the interface reaction.

The following research analyzed the sewing teaching of the tailored jacket shown in fashion textbooks, which are currently used in universities and educational organizations in the fashion industry. To analyze the sewing teaching of tailored jackets, we analyzed 35 textbooks in the market. Among them we used 14 textbooks which dealt with the patter formation method of tailored jackets, and cutting and sewing methods. First, the stitching direction and the location of attachment varied. The type of sticking tape and its position also differed, emphasizing the need to make an institutionalized education material which is based on the characteristic of the fabric and its silhouette. Second, controlling the ease length of the right side sewing princess line, or information about the shoulder line and sleeve line of the notch as not specifically shown in the textbooks. Furthermore, not many textbooks showed how to pull the lower part of the texture out of sight, nor did they explain why this needed to be done. Third, the lining is usually slightly larger than the outer texture of the clothing, as the lining is usually tugged in the sewing process, and this method makes the clothes more comfortable. The method of sewing the princessline $0.2{\sim}0.3cm$ outside the outer pattern was the most recommended. The center-back side was usually 2cm in activity measurements, but it turned out that a textbook which required ease treatment on the shoulder line did not do so on the lining material. The textbooks used in this research dealt only with how to manufacture a tailored jacket without full explanation about textures which could influence the manufacturing. The production method and process differed between different textbooks, showing the need to make a institutionalized education material. In a quickly-changing era where there is rapid change in the dressmaking procedure, we need to help students understand the process more easily through a formalized education process.

In this study, image analysis and surface roughness measurements using an optical microscope are presented as a method to quantitatively evaluate the results of screen printing. Using this method, the squeegee speed, which is the printing process condition, and the printability of the electrode according to the screen mesh were evaluated. Increasing the squeegee speed in the printing process acts as a process element that increases the line width precision of the printed electrode and lowers the surface roughness of the printed surface. Furthermore, the edge roughness, which indicates the clarity of printing, was not significantly affected by the speed of the squeegee during printing. The print thickness increases in proportion to the squeegee speed, but is largely dependent on the screen thickness.
Many of research efforts have been focused on the improvement of critical current density (Jc) of silver-sheathed Bi-2223 tapes far practical applications. In this study, the transformation of Bi-2212 phase was investigated, which was transformed to orthorhombic from tetragonal through pre-annealing during powder packing and drawing process. The relationship between hardness of Bi-2212 orthorhombic phase and workability of Bi-2223/Ag tape was investigated. Bi-2223 superconducting wires with 55 filaments were fabricated by stacking and drawing process with different heat-treatment histories. Before rolling process, round wires were pre-annealing at 76$0^{\circ}C$ and in a low oxygen partial pressure. We confirmed that pre-annealing step was to transform to Bi-2212 orthorhombic structure from Bi-2212 tetragonal structure and to reduce the formation of second phases. However the breakages were created at Ag-alloy clad during rolling for pre-annealed Bi-22231Ag tapes. Several pre-annealing scenarios were introduced to reduce the breakages during rolling process. Microstructure and critical current density of pre-annealed Bi-2223 superconducting tapes were investigated. We could achieve proper pre-annealing conditions for Ag-alloy clad Bi-2223 superconducting tapes.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the process of life adaptation in women with cervical cancer. Method: A grounded theory method with guided data collection and analysis was used. Fifteen women with cervical cancer who had some kind of treatment at the hospital were asked open-ended and descriptive questions with a guideline. All interviews were tape-recorded and transcribed verbatim. Result: The core category that emerged from the comparative analysis was "overcoming cancer" named as a process of life adaptation in the participants. The process of overcoming cancer evolved three stages - "admitting reality", "attempting health-care" and "continuing health-care". Depending on the paradigm model, the central phenomena of the experiences was "powerlessness". The internal factors motivating women to overcome cancer were "denial of cancer" and "desire for life". Strategies of overcoming cancer included "living as a cancer patient," "selective food eating," "steady exercising," "getting rid of stress," and "preparing for death". The intervening conditions, "supportive system," "forms of life," and "burden on family," influenced overcoming cancer. Conclusion: The results of this study could help clinical nurses to understand life adaptation in cervical cancer patients and establish efficient coping strategies in dealing with the problems they face.
The purpose of this study was to present the plan for activation and rationalization of production of ladies' jacket and provide basic materials for improvement of the development of technologies in relation to the productivity improvement of ladies' jacket and the achievement of high quality product. For this purpose, this study attempted to investigate the present situation of jacket manufacturing process. The data is related with local ladies' jacket manufacturing companies in Seoul snd Kyonggi area. The results of this study are as follows. 1. 87.8% of the business firms responded that they acquired the productive process of jacket based on their own knowhow and 80.5% was aware of the need for the analysis of each process. The highest proportion of the business firms(65.9%) pointed out that the advantage of process analysis was the alleviation of the production time. 2. The jacket manufacturing process was made up of 4 stages such as the process of frontal/rear plate $\rightarrow$ the process of accessories $\rightarrow$ the process of completion $\rightarrow$ the process of finishing in a broad sense but composed of a total of 19 stages in detail. 3. Attachment of the sleeves(73.2), attachment of the collar(41.5%) and the formation of the overall silhouette(22.0%) were raised as the challenge in manufacturing ladies' jacket. 4. Most of the sewing business firms made use of the method of completing the collar and then stitching the outer material and the inner collar, and the line of the bodice and the outer collar as the method of stitching the tailored collar. and many of them used the method of completing the collar and then inserting it between the line of the bodice and the outer material and stitching it as the method of stitching the stand collar. They had a preference for the method of completing the sleeve and connecting it to the bodice as the method of stitching the sleeve. and used the method of treating the margin to seam of semi-lined and unlined jacket by treating it with the bias tape.

IRW(Inverter Resistance Welding) process and DSW(Delta-spot welding) process for dissimilar materials of DP590 and Al5052 were performed to evaluate the welding quality and mechanical properties. IRW experiment was carried out with changing the welding current. The other welding parameters such as pressure force, weld time, squeezing time and holding time were fixed. On the anther hand, DSW experiment was performed using the process tape at welding current of 11.5kA. The other conditions were same as IRW conditions. The various testes such as shear tensile strength, nugget diameters, EDS, SEM and cross-sectional observation for weld zone was performed. As a result, IMC(Inter Metallic Compound) thickness at 11.5kA was thinner than those of 9.5kA and 10.5kA conditions. In addition, thined IMC layer was observed when high electric current apply to the materials(DP590 and Al5052) in a short time throught dissimilar resistance spot welding controling welding conditions. The relationship between the thickeness of IMC and current intensity was after discussed.

This study was intended to find the characteristics of the middle school students' thinking processes and problem spaces when they solved the physics problems. Ten ninth grade students in Chon-Buk Do, Korea were participated in this study. The researcher investigated their thinking processes in solving 5 physics problems on electric circuit. "Thinking aloud" method was used as a research method. The students' thinking processes were recorded using an audio tape recorder and transfered into protocols. The protocols were analyzed by problem solving process coding system which was developed by Lee(1987) on the basis of Larkin's problem solving process model. The results are as follows : (1) On the average 2.85 items were solved among 5 test items, and only one person could solve all of the items correctly. (2) Problems were solved in sequence of understanding the problem, planning, carrying out the plan, and evaluating steps regardless of the problem difficulty. (3) In regard to the thinking process steps, there was no difference between the good solvers and the poor ones. But in the detail performance of problem solving, the former was different from the latter in respect with using the design of general solving procedure. (4) The basic problem spaces by the item analysis were divided into two classes. One was the problem space by using Qualitative approach in problem solving, and the other was one by using Quantitative approach. As novices in physics problem solving, most of the students used the problem space by using the Quantitative approach.
