엔지니어링 플라스틱의 LED조명 방열판 적용 (Heat Sink of LED Lights Using Engineering Plastics)

  • As an advance study for the development of a heat sink for special purpose high power illumination, an investigation was made to find feasibility for the application of copper plated EP to a heat sink of small LED light of less than 10W installed in commercial product. In this study, the plated heat sink with EP copper was fabricated for the conventional LED light. It was used actually for finding heat radiation property and effectiveness of the heat sink accompanied with measurement of luminous intensity. The heat is radiated by transfer and dissipation only through the copper plated surface due to extremely low heat conductivity of EP in case of EP heat sink; however the total area of the plate plays the function of heat transfer as well as heat radiation in case of the aluminum heat sink. It seems that the volume difference of heat radiating material is so big that the temperature $P_1$ is 9.0~12.3% higher in 3W and 42.7~54.0% higher in case of 6W volume difference of heat radiating material is so big that the temperature $P_1$ is 9.0~12.3% higher in 3W and 42.7~54.0% higher in case of 6W even though heat transfer rate of copper is approximately 1.9 times higher than that of aluminum. It was thought that this is useful to utilize for heat sink for low power LED light with the low heating rate. Also, the illumination could be greatly influenced by the surrounding temperature of the place where it is installed. Therefore, it seems that the illumination installation environment must be taken into consideration when selecting illumination. Further study was expected on order to aims at development of an exterior surface itself made into heat radiation plate by application of this technology in future.

고에너지 열원에 따른 스테인리스강의 제살용접특성 비교 (Comparison on Autogenous Weldability of Stainless Steel using High Energy Heat Source)

  • 오늘날 LNG선의 용접에는 아크와 플라즈마가 사용되고 있으나 아크용접은 에너지 밀도가 낮아 후판에 대해서 다층용접이 불가피하며, 고밀도 열원인 레이저 용접에 비하여 용접속도에도 한계가 있다. 따라서 후판 용접시 다층용접에 의한 용접부의 조직적 결함이나 과대 입열로 형성된 열영향부 등의 문제를 해소하기 위하여 키홀용접에 의한 원패스 용접이 고려되고 있다. 키홀용접이 가능한 열원은 레이저, 전자빔, 플라즈마가 있으며, 현재 플라즈마 용접이 아크를 대체하여 LNG선 카고탱크의 멤브레인 용접에 적용되고 있다. 최근에는 멤브레인의 용접에 레이저를 적용하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 본 연구에서는 LNG선용 스테인리스강에 대한 파이버 레이저 및 플라즈마 아크 용접의 용접성, 기계적 성질 및 미세조직을 비교하였다. 그 결과 레이저 용접이 더 빠른 용접속도에서 좁은 용접부와 열영향부를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 LNG선의 용접에서는 파이버 레이저가 보다 우수한 용접법이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • Recently, the application of bending products has been increased since the industries such as automobile, aerospace, ships, and plants greatly need the usage of pipes. For facility fabrication, bending process is one of key technologies for pipings. Induction heat bending process is composed of bending deformation by repeated local heat and cooling. Because of local heating and compressive strain, detrimental phases may be precipitated and microstructural change can be induced. This work focused on the effect of induction heat bending process on the properties of ASME SA312 TP316 stainless steel. Evaluation was done on the base metal and the bended areas before and after heat treatment. Microstructure analysis, intergranular corrosion test including Huey test, double loop electropotentiokinetic reactivation test, oxalic acid etch test, and anodic polarization test were performed. On the base of microstructural analysis, grain boundaries in bended extrados area were zagged by bending process, but there were no precipitates in grain and grain boundary and the intergranular corrosion rate was similar to that of base metal. However, pitting potentials of bended area were lower than that of the base metal and zagged boundaries was one of the pitting initiation sites. By re-annealing treatment, grain boundary was recovered and pitting potential was similar to that of the base metal.

저온 수처리장치 열교환기의 열전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Prediction of Low Temperature Thermal Desorption System)

  • Thermal desorption systems are designed to remove organic compounds from solid matrices such as soils, sludges and filter cakes without thermally destroying them. It is a separation technology, not a destruction technology. Since it is a thermal process, there is a common belief that temperature is the only significant parameter to be monitored. While it is true that better removal efficiencies are usually achieved at higher temperatures, other factors must be considered. Since the process is governed by mass transfer, heating time and the amount of mixing are also key parameters in optimizing removal efficiency. Thermal desorption have been successfully used for just about every organic contaminant found to date. It has also been used to remove mercury. In the present study, the numerical simulation has been performed to investigate the characteristics of heat transfer of LTTD(low temperature thermal desorption). The commercial software, AMESIM was applied for analyzing the heat transfer process in the LTTD.

나일론/금속 접합을 위한 유도가열공정의 분석 (Analysis of the Induction Heating Process for the Joint of Nylon and Metal)

  • The characteristics of the induction heating process are analyzed for the joint of nylon and metal. The temperature of metal surface is measured using thermocouples. The relations of temperature and induction heating parameters are analyzed. Heat equation models are constructed and the temperature distribution is predicted using Fluent. The effects of heating parameters on the joint strength are evaluated. Finally, the optimal parameters of induction heating process are proposed as 16kW and 6 seconds.

  • Trends in semiconductor equipment industry are to reduce the cost of producing semiconductor, semiconductor process development, facility development, and the minimum investment in terms of cost and quality. Semiconductor equipments are being considered to review and development is proceeding at the same time. In the first part of the semiconductor assembly process, in which the importance of die bonding process is emerging, a wide leadframe type die bonding machine is demanded for productivity. Die bonding machine was designed through experiments and by trial and error. It costs a lot of time and financial burden. The purpose of this study is to solve these problems by using the CAE tool 3G. By using finite element method, thermal analysis of die bonding machine to the various widths leadframe die bonder machine rail is performed for design.

  • Rapid mold heating has been recent issue to enable the injection molding of thin-walled parts or micro/nano structures. Induction heating is an efficient way to heat material by means of an electric current that is caused to flow through the material or its container by electromagnetic induction. It has various applications such as heat treatment, brazing, welding, melting, and mold heating. The present study covers a finite element analysis of the induction heating process which can rapidly raise mold temperature. To simulate the induction heating process, the electromagnetic field analysis and transient heat transfer analysis are required collectively. In this study, a coupled analysis connecting electromagnetic analysis with heat transfer simulation is carried out. The estimated temperature changes are compared with experimental measurements for various heating conditions.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the changes in the degree of conversion on a composite resin surface following heat treatment and mylar strip finishing. The effects of the time interval between the light-curing and heat-curing process were also evaluated. The composite resin surface which had been covered with a coverglass showed a lower conversion rate than the surface from which a layer of $500{\mu}m$ was ground away. The composite resin surface was definitely affected by oxygen during the heat curing process when it had not been insulated. When the composite resins were heat cured after 3 days of storage following the light curing process, the increased in the degree of conversion through heatcuring was limited.

Heat processed Eggshell에 의한 도축폐수의 혈색소 제거에 관한 연구 (A study on Blood pigments removal of butchery wastewater by heat processed Eggshell)

  • The purpose of this experimental study examine characteristics of blood pigments removal of butchery wastewater by heat processed eggshell, compare activated carbon with its efficiency. Calcined eggshell were classified into four kinds of mesh as HPES-32(Heat Processed Eggshell 32 $mesh=500{\mu}m$), HPES-48($300{\mu}m$), HPES-150($180{\mu}m$) and HPES-150($106{\mu}m$). And two contacting process of CMFA(Complete Mixing Float Adsorption) and FLFA(Fixing layer Flow Adsorption) Were used for getting removal efficiency of blood pigments. In case of using CMFA process, the removal efficiency of blood pigments was occurred as HPES-80>HPES-150>HPES-32, but in case of using FLFA process was occurred as HPES-150>HPES-80>HPES-48>HPES-32. The two results between CMFA and FLFA were differ in strength of removal efficiency of blood pigments.

여러 가지 방식의 쾌속조형물 특성 및 장비 성능의 정량적 비교 (Quantitative Comparisons of the Characteristics of various Rapid Prototypes and RP machines)

  • For the various RP processes and machines, quantitative comparisons were carried out, which include the variations of roughness according to inclined angle of surface, tensile strength and heat-resistance, shape accuracy affected by curl distortion, manufacturability of submilli-scale structure, and manufacturing speed. It was observed that steeper surface results in smoother roughness except Eden500V of Objet. Specimen made by LOM process showed the best heat-resistance, but that of SL process had heat-resistance only up to $60^{\circ}C$. Generally, tensile strength in the building direction was shown to be smaller than in the scanning direction, but SL process showed the opposite results. RM6000II of CMET was superior in the manufacturing small-scale structure below 0.2mm, and Z510 of Zcorp. and ViperPRO of 3D systems were great in manufacturing speed.
