In and attempt to investigate the milling method of barley, four kinds of barley were used for this study. The results are summerized as follow: 1) The optimum tempering and priority of milling quality of barley is shown as following table. Barley is Tempering moisture 15%, Tempering time 24hr. Naked barley is Tempering moisture 14%, Tempering time 48hr. Barley and Naked barley are Tempering moisture 13%, Tempering time 48hr. 2) Economic value of pearled materials milling is disadvantageous, because of the milling expenses are burdensome and flour extractions are fallen down 12.5% in barley and 13.6% in naked barley as compared with unpearled materials milling. 3) Wheat flour milling process may be used without any adjustment when mixed with 90% of wheat and 10% of barley. 4) Unpearled naked barley is the most suitable for flour milling when mixed with wheat.

Because of their nature as public facilities, demands that former military facilities be utilized for the public welfare are increasing, thereby leading to an increase in cases in which these military facilities are reestablished as parks. Cases in which former military bases were reestablished as public parks were analyzed; as a result, several implications were derived. First, the objectives of public park projects should be examined from the perspective of the concept of urban regeneration and regional revitalization. Moreover, it is necessary that profits are yielded and that regional identity and history are reproduced through reusing existing facilities as much as possible rather than entirely remodeling former military sites. As parks become larger in size, bases should be reorganized into complexes rather than single facilities or programs. It is also necessary that parks be established in stages considering the enormous expenses required for building public parks. Consequently, because the special characteristics of military facilities can lead to insufficient on-site investigation in the process of establishing parks, thereby incurring a vast amount of costs for design adjustment and contamination disposal, this should be considered in advance. A method of delegating the development rights to partial sites to private businesses and supplementing the costs of park establishment and maintenance with development benefits should be examined. In addition, given that there are various interests and stakes in former military bases, a method of operating a public-private cooperative decision-making organization during project execution should be considered. Finally, policies related to urban parks need to be improved in order to raise funds, expand profitable businesses, facilitate social services and sponsorship, and encourage the participation of trusts and non-profit organizations in park operation and management.
Cell migration is a central process for recovering from wounds triggered by physical distress besides embryogenesis and cancer metastasis. Wound healing assay is widely used as a fundamental research technique for investigation of two-dimensional cell migration in vitro. The most common approach for imitating physical wound in vitro is mechanical scratching on the surface of the confluent monolayer by using sharp materials. The iron metal pin with a suspension spring for fine adjustment of the orthogonal contact surface between the scratching point and the individual bottom of multi-well plate with planar curvatures were adopted for the creative invention of a 96-well plate wound maker. While classic tips drew diverse and zigzag scratching patterns on the confluent monolayer, our wound maker displayed synchronized linear wounds in the middle of each well of a 96-well plate that was seeded with several cell lines. Given that several types of multi-well plates commercially available are compatible with our lab-made wound maker for creating uniform scratches on the confluent monolayer for the collective cell migration in wound healing assay, it is certain that the application of this wound maker to the real-time wound healing assay in high content screening (HCS) is superior than utilization of typical polypropylene pipette tips.

Objectives: We aimed to compare the smoking behaviors in adolescents from monocultural and multicultural families and to evaluate the associations between their smoking behavior and number of suicide attempts. Methods: The data used in this study was collected from The Tenth Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey. The differences in the sociodemographic characteristics between the adolescents in the multicultural and monocultural families were analyzed through the ${\chi}^2$-test, and a logistic regression was conducted to evaluate the relationships between the smoking behavior and number of suicide attempts of the adolescents in multicultural families. The process involved an analysis using a complex sample design. Results: There was significant difference in the weighted rates of the current smoking behavior (13.3% vs. 8.4%, p<0.001), experience of violence (6.8% vs. 2.3%, p<0.001), and number of suicide attempts (5.4% vs. 2.7%, p<0.001) between the adolescents from the multicultural and monocultural families. In both groups, the current smoking behavior was associated with the number of suicide attempts (multicultural families OR=6.5, p=0.005; monocultural families OR=1.5, p<0.001). Conclusion: Our results showed that the percentage of current smokers in the adolescents from multicultural families was higher than that in the monocultural families and that current smoking behavior is related to the number of suicide attempts in both groups, after adjustment for age, sex, socioeconomic status, academic achievement, current smoking behavior, depressive mood and experience of violence.

The accuracy of model surgery is one of important factors which can influence the outcome of orthognathic surgery. To evaluate the accuracy of digitalized model surgery, we tried the model surgery on a software after transferring the mounted model block into a digital model, and compared the results with that of classical manual model surgery. We could get the following results, which can be used as good baseline analysis for the clinical application. 1. We made the 3D scanning of dental model blocks, and mounted on a software. And we performed the model surgery according to the previously arranged surgical plans, and let the rapid prototyping machine produce the surgical wafer. All through these process, we could confirm that the digital model surgery is feasible without difficulties. 2. The digital model surgery group (Group 2) showed a mean error of $0.0{\sim}0.1mm$ for moving the maxillary model block to the target position. And Group 1, which was done by manual model surgery, presented a mean error of $0.1{\sim}1.2mm$, which is definitely greater than those of Group 2. 3. Remounted maxillary model block with the wafers produced by digital model surgery from Group 2 showed the less mean error (0.2 to 0.4 mm) than that produced by manual model surgery in Group 1 (0.3 to 1.4 mm). From these results, we could confirm that the digital model surgery in Group 2 presented less error than manual model surgery of Group 1. And the model surgery by digital manipulation is expected to have less influence from the individual variation or degree of expertness. So the increased accuracy and enhanced manipulability will serve the digital model surgery as the good candidate for the improvement and replacement of the classical model surgery, if careful preparation works for the clinical adjustment is accompanied.
Various metal ions (transition and base metals) incorporated MCM-41 catalysts can be synthesized using colloidal and soluble silica with non-sodium involved process. Transition metal ion-typically $V^{5+}$, $Co^{2+}$, and $Ni^{2+}$-incorporated MCM-41 catalysts were synthesized by isomorphous substitution of Si ions in the framework. Each incorporated metal ion created a single species in the silica framework, single-site solid catalyst, showing a substantial stability in reduction and catalytic activity. Radius of pore curvature effect was investigated with Co-MCM-41 by temperature programmed reduction (TPR). The size of metallic Co clusters, sub-nanometer, could be controlled by a proper reduction treatment of Co-MCM-41 having different pore size and the initial pH adjustment of the Co-MCM-41 synthesis solution. These small metallic clusters showed a high stability under a harsh reaction condition without serious migration, resulting from a direct anchoring of small metallic clusters to the partially or unreduced metal ions on the surface. After a complete reduction, partial occlusion of the metallic cluster surface by amorphous silica stabilized the particles against aggregations. As a probe reaction of particle size sensitivity, carbon single wall nanotubes (SWNT) were synthesized using Co-MCM-41. A metallic cluster stability test was performed by CO methanation using Co- and Ni-MCM-41. Methanol and methane partial oxidations were carried out with V-MCM-41, and the radius of pore curvature effect on the catalytic activity was investigated.

Reefs are the marine structure that can give resting, inhabiting, feeding and nursing spaces for a variety of fishes. Usually artificial reefs are made of cement and steels respectively in Japan as well as in Korea. However since resources deficiency has been getting serious, other materials are taken into consideration for the basic bodies of artificial reefs. About 300 thousand tons of waste agricultural plastic films are generated every yew in Korea, but no effective recycling techniques have been developed. In this sense, artificial reefs made of waste agricultural plastic films are the most representative symbol of the recycled products in the Resource Recycling Era. In particular, since these reefs could be made of the semi-cleaned waste agricultural plastic films that still contain high portion of soil, it is very environmentally friendly not only in manufacturing process but also in using under water. Furthermore they have some evident advantages as follows; 1) high fish swarming effect 2) good initial attachment of the marine growths 3) extremely low corrosion to brine 4) easy adjustment of the gravity 5) economical manufacture, transportation and jettison 6) excellent safety to ecosystem caused by lower elution of toxic substances 7) good recyclable property after application and so on.
This study applies the cointegration theory to analyse the causality of the prices between imported fisheries and domestic fisheries in distribution channel. We've focused on the prices of import, wholesale and retail about the frozen Alaska pollack, hairtail and croaker which take up high portion and are popular among most of the consumers. In process of analysis, the unit root test was adopted to find the stability of time series data prior to the cointegration test. If the time series data was found as stable one in unit root test, we should analyse the VAR model. If unstable, the cointegratioin test was adopeted to find the long-run equilibrium relationship between the data. When the long-run equilibrium relationship was found among the price of the import, wholesale and retail price, the VECM model was adoped. If not, the differenced VAR model was adopted. The main findings of this study could be summarized as follows ; First, according to the result of the analysis on VAR model, time series data of frozen Alaska pollack was found as stable and has causality relationship and close effect was existing among the import, wholesale and retail price. Second, the data of frozen hairtail was found as an unstable one in unit root test and the result of cointegration test showed the long-run equilibrium relationship at lag 1. From the results of VECM model, we could find that the coefficient of error correction is effective, and the sign is negative(-). It means that the existence of adjustment tendency to long-run equilibrium after a short-run deviation. But the short-run causality of the prices were not found except the price of wholesale. Third, according to the results of differenced VAR model, data from frozen croaker did not have the stability and long-run equilibrium. Moreover, it was found that the import price has a weak causality on the retail price. Because of having difficulties in collecting data, the result of this paper could not explain the relationship among the prices of import, wholesale and retail perfectly. However, it more or less contributed to a long-lasted debate on the direction of causality of price-setting in academic research and provided a useful guide for the policy makers in charge of the price-setting of fisheries products as well.

This paper presents a new automatic TFT-LCD image quality optimization system using DSP for the first time. Since conventional manual method depends on experiences of LCD module developers, it is highly labor-intensive and requires several correction steps providing large gamma correction error. The proposed system optimizes automatically gamma adjustment and power setting registers in mobile TFT-LCD driver IC to reduce gamma correction error, adjusting time, and flicker. It contains module-under-test (MUT, TFT-LCD module), PC installed with program, multimedia display tester for measuring luminance and flicker, and control board for interface between PC and TFT-LCD module. We have developed a new algorithm using 6-point programmable matching technique with reference gamma curve and applying automatic power setting sequence. Developed algorithm and program are generally applicable for most of the TFT-LCD modules. It is realized to calibrate gamma values of 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 and 3.0, and reduce flicker level. The control board is designed with DSP and FPGA, and it supports various interfaces such as RGB and CPU. Developed automatic image quality optimization system showed significantly reduced gamma adjusting time, reduced flicker, and much less average gamma error than conventional manual method. We believe that the proposed system is very useful to provide high-quality TFT-LCD and to improve developing process using optimized gamma-curve setting and automatic power setting.
