;Jindo Hongju is an unique red-colored traditional distilled wine of Korea. The unique attractive color of Jindo Hongju is due to the pigments of gromwell (Lithospermum erythrorhizon) root, derivatives of naphtoquinone such as shikonin and acetylshikonin. Which are extracted during the distillation process. The attractive color of the gromwell pigments is easily changed to dark red or to brown causing deterioration of the Quality of Jindo Hongju. Due to the discoloration of the pigments and to the limited supply of gromwell roots, some brewers manufacture spurious Jindo Hongju using artificial colorants. This study was performed to devise a simple method of detecting spurious Jindo Hongju products. The color of the gromwell pigments was greatly affected by pH change and the change could be demonstrated by the change of the absorption spectrum. At pH 4.0 the normal pH of Jindo Hongju, the absorption spectra of gromwell pigments and genuine Hongju products showed an absorption maximum of 520 nm. The absorption maximum was shifted to 570 nm and to 616 nm as the pH was raised to 7.0 and 11.0 respectively. This transition due to the pH change was also demonstrated on em chromaticity diagram. The characteristic transition due to pH change of gromwell pigment solution was not observed with an artificial colorant (red No.2) which was suspected to be used in the manufacture of imitation products. The absorption spectra of most of the Jindo Hongju collected from the market were similar to that of the gromwell pigments and showed the characteristic transition due to pH change with the addition of NaOH. However, with a few of the products, the absorption spectra was similar to that of the artificial colorant and the characteristic transition due to pH change was not observed, indicating these products might have been forged. The result of study suggests that the transition of the absorption spectrum and the change of the color due to pH change be used for the detection of imitation products. Farther more, since, at pH above 9.0, the color of the gromwell pigments and genuine Jindo Hongju could be visually differentiated from that of the artificial colorant and forged products, it might be possible that the forged products be easily detected by raising the pH to above 9.0 and visually comparing the color with that of the gromwell pigment at the same pH.me pH.

Interregional migration is viewed as the most important component in regional population change in Korea. The purpose of this study is to analyze the structure of interrelationship among influential factors of interregional migration from the macro-viewpoint. During the period of 2000-05 the correlation between immigration and outmigration among 223 shi gun gu spatial unit was over 0.95, indicating that regions with high outmigration received high immigration. In this study the hypothesized cause-and-effect relationship among six influential factors of total migration flow was analyzed using path analysis. Based on the direct effect culturalwelfare environment has the biggest impact on immigration, while education environment and new housing environment are somewhat less and industrial-job opportunity environment the smallest impact. However based on the indirect effect, fiscal environment has the biggest impact on immigration, while industrial-job opportunity environment and infrastructure environment are somewhat less and new housing environment the smallest impact. If we consider the total effect, fiscal environment and cultural-welfare environment have the most significantly influenced on immigration. In particular, the influence of fiscal environment was remarkable in migration process through nonrecursive path and feedback loop.
In 1966, $Seokgatap$ pagoda in $Bulguksa$ temple was damaged by the tomb robbers and was dismantled to fix the damage. In the process, many offerings to Buddha and containers for Sarira(the cremated remains) were found in $Sarigong$(specially designated space for the Sarira casket) inside the second floor of the pagoda. Many fabrics like $Geum$, $Neung$(twill), $Rha$(complex gauze), silk tabby and linen were also excavated. In this study, $Geum$ fabric from the $Seokgatap$ was closely examined. $Geum$ of $seokgatap$ is weft-faced compound weave according to the analysis of its weaving pattern which was wrongly presumed as warp-faced compound weave for some time. Technical analysis of $Geum$: Main: silk, Binding: silk, Proportion: 1 main warp to 1 binding warp, Count: 15 main warps and 15 binding warps per centimeter, Weft: polychrome silk without apparent twist, Colors: yellow, mustard yellow, deep blue, green and purple, Weave: weft-faced compound twill, 1/2 S. $Geum$ of $Seokgatap$ was made in the $8^{th}$ century, since it was weaved in weft-faced compound weave twill which was popular in the $8-9^{th}$ century. And also, the arrangement of the colors was done in the same way of gradation $Geum$ silk which was popular in the $7-8^{th}$ C in China and Japan. Third, we restored the pattern of $Geum$ of the Unified Shilla Dynasty for the first time. It was very difficult to figure out the shape and the size of pattern since the fabric was partially lost and ruined. We tried to draw the diagram of structure with the cross point of the warp and the weft to restore the pattern. By doing so, we could identify two kinds of small flower pattern, palmette and the pattern of repeating vines. Fourth, we could infer that the $Geum$ of $Seokgatap$ was used for $geumdae$(a pouch made of $geum$) by analyzing all the documents and the characteristics of the fabric.
Due to the improved performance and cost of personal mobile devices and rapid progress of wireless communication technology, the number of users who utilize these devices is increasing. This trend requires various types of services be available to users. So far, there have been many solutions provided for the shortest path problem. But, technologies which can offer various recommendation services to user depending on user’s current location are focused on Euclidean spaces rather than road network. Thus, in this paper, we extend the previous work to satisfy this requirement on road network database. Our proposed scheme requires pre-computation for the efficient query processing. In the preprocessing step, we first partition the input road network into a fixed number of Voronoi polygons and then pre-compute routing information for each polygon. In the meantime, we select the number of Voronoi polygons in proposition to the scale of road network. Through this selection, the required size of pre-computation is linearly increasing to the size of road network. Using this pre-computated information, we can process queries more quickly. Through experiments, we have shown that our proposed scheme can achieve excellent performance in terms of scheduling time and the number of visited nodes.
Trachytic rocks among the bimodal metavolcanic rocks of the Gyemyeongsan Formation and adjacent areas are investigated. Some rocks reveal very high content of iron and most rocks show very high abundances of rare earth elements and high field strength elements. Most rocks show significant Eu negative anomaly, which can be interpreted as the result of plagioclase fractionation. Lack of noticeable Nb negative anomaly indicates not-involvement of crustal material in their generation, which excludes the arc environment or remelting of continental crust from their genetic process. Metatrachytes of the Gymyeongsan Formation are plotted within the within-plate environment of the tectonic discrimination diagram utilizing immobile high field strength element Nb and Y. They also show typical characteristics of A-type magma, such as high Ga content. Considering their affinity to Al-type of Eby (1992) and their age of 750 Ma (Lee et al., 1998), they seem to have been produced by the differentiation of mantle-derived within-plate magmatism at the rift, related with the separation of Neoproterozoic supercontinent Rodinia. Possible connection of Gyemyeongsan and Munjuri Formations of the Okcheon metamorphic belt, at least part of them, to the Cathaysia block of South China during the Neoproterozoic is strongly suggested.
We report petrography, mineral chemistry, and major and trace element chemistry for rare tholeiites in Cheju island where alkalic rocks predominate. Available age data indicate that the tholeiitic magmatism was younger than 0.49Ma, possibly younger than 0.17 Ma. The tholeiites are generally fine-grained, porphyritic rock and show intergranular texture with lath-shaped plagioclase ($An_{61-46}$), orthopyroxene (bronzite) and olivine ($Fo_{78-67}$). Characteristically, two kinds of clinopyroxene (pigeonite and augite) occur only in groundmass. The tholeiites have normative quartz and show limited compositional variations ($SiO_2$=51.0-52.5 wt%; Mg#=54-60). Major and transitional metal element variations of tholeiites are distinct from those of alkaline rocks in MgO diagram, suggestingthat the two rock types cannot be simply related to differentiation process from the same magma. The ratios among $K_2O$, Rb, Ba, Nb and La are similar for both tholeiites and alkali basalts, however the ratios between the elements (P, Y and Yb) having an affinity with garnet and the above elements are higher for tholeiites than for alkali basalts. These trace element ratios suggest that the tholeiites and alkali basalts were produced by different degrees of partial melting from a similar sources material (garnet lherzolite mantle).

In this research, 'Construction Technology and Environment' units in 12 different technology home economics textbooks for 1st~3rd year middle school students under the 2009 Revised Educational Curriculum and the content system of textbooks were analyzed based on Reigeluth's elaboration theory, and the following conclusions were derived. First, each of the 12 different textbooks presented the elaboration process by procedural method and composed the content system. Second, the 'Construction Technology and Environment' unit presented many 'Thought Opening' as the systematization strategy of advance learning ability, and 'Unit Summary' presented at the end of the unit as the use strategy of the summarizer was presented preponderantly. In addition, 'Learning Objective' that represents the degree of achievement of the students after learning the unit was presented most as the use strategy of the synthesizer although there are differences in terms. In all of the textbooks, 'Figure,' 'Table,' 'Diagram', and 'Explanation of Terms' were used, and particularly, in the vitalizer strategy of the cognitive strategy, overwhelmingly greater number of 'Figure's, compared with all other elements, were presented as the vitalizer strategy of cognitive strategy. Finally, 'Compensatory Learning,' and 'In-depth Study' were presented as the learner control strategy in each of the 4 different textbooks, and there was one textbook that presents the term 'Supplement Reinforcement' in which compensatory learning and in-depth learning were integrated. Third, the metaphor utilization strategy among the 7 teaching strategies of the elaboration theory was hardly used in the composition items in units of textbooks.
In this thesis, I examined the mental, philosophical aspects and the aesthetic sense of our ancestors through the study of the patterns pictured in the mural paintings of Koguryo dynasty's old tomb. To view the mode of construction in Koguryo dynasty from present angle, the detailed analysis of the patterns was done. As a result, I could fully understand the formative consciousness of our nation. 1. I defined the process of transition of the mural paintings by putting some 70 mural aintings into the form of a diagram. 2. The cultural aspects of the mural paintings in Koguryo dynasty were characterized by the fusion of our primitive religion and Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism which were introduced from China. From this fact, I could inferred that Koguryo people were giving off the strong desire for the faith by means of the mural paintings. Further more I found that configuration of the patterns such as religious elements. 3. The types of the patterns were classified into four types, this is, geometric type, natural type, cultural type and abstract type, Among these types, geometric type and natural type were nonsymbolic in nature but became cultured and abstracted in course of time. cultural pattern and abstract pattern got the symbolic meaning in the long run. Of all the constitution of the patterns represented in the mural paintings such as repeat constitution, left and right symmetric constitution, top and bottom symmetric constitution and rotary symmetric constitution, the left and right symmetric constitution was mainly used and some monotony of left and right symmetric constitution. The analysis of motif which was got from the mode of the patterns showed that the mixing of symbolic and nonsymbolic patterns made it possible to regard the separate symbol as compound in nonsymbolic patterns and the combination between nonsymbolic patterns ensured the understanding of other patterns in certain cases. Our ancestors made great efforts to transmit certain meaning symbolically. Also to heighten the symbolism, they drew the meangless patterns firstly and then appended meaning to those patterns secondly. Furthermore, they offered the background to the patterns comblined with symbolism, so that meaning transmission was clarified at last. As mentioned above, the patterns shown in the mural paintings of Koguryo dynasty's old tomb were characterized by natural beauty. And natural beauty was found out clearly in the form and constitution of the patterns. Therefore I concluded that our nation's religious, philosophical tradition was acted on the patterns strongly.

In recent years, the number of high-rise building construction projects has grown, and the number of construction safety accidents has also been increasing. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose plans to prevent accidents by systematically organizing accident principles and developing a tree diagram for the process of safety accidents that occur in the construction industry. This study aims to show the diverse characteristics of construction accidents based on KOSHA's annual reports on safety accidents(burial, conflagration, explosion, burn) from 1993 to 2009. To achieve these objectives, in this study we first examined the risk factors for burial, conflagration, explosion, and burn. We then systematically organized the classification viewpoint of accident causes, and suggested a methodology for the rationalization of safety management through an analysis of the primary causes of accidents by work type. The results of this study based on this methodology can be divided into three areas: 1)the types of facilities were divided into 43 categories by analyzing the information of KOSHA's annual reports; 2)the causes of burial, conflagration, explosion, and burn were divided into 63types; 3)the types of work were divided into 29 categories.

The purpose of this study was to compare the risk factors of pressure sores and preventive intervention strategies and to provide basic data for the management of pressure sores prevention for long-term care facilities. It was a mixed method study using a systematic literature review and focus group interviews for analysis. A PRISMA flow diagram was prepared in accordance with the research selection process for the systemic literature review. The studies were retrieved from domestic and international studies from 2010 to June, 2019. A total of 8 studies were selected according to the selection criteria. The studies were searched electronically using a search engine with the key words of 'pressure ulcers', 'bedsore', 'decubitus ulcers', 'intervention', 'prevention', 'elderly', and 'long term'. Focus group interviews were conducted through a semi-structured questionnaire for nurses who had worked for more than three years in long-care facilities. The study results suggest that position change and pressure reduction device reduced the incidence of pressure sores and were important for prevention. The use of standardized care protocols is necessary. Multidisciplinary cooperation was an important issue.
