This study calculated meta Malmquist indices and their bootstraped estimates and then decomposed them into technical efficiency change(TEC), technology change(TC), pure technology catch up(PTCU), frontoer catch up(FCU), using annual data set of general hospitals from year 2007 to 2011 collected by Korean Hospital Association and then analyzed productivity change and technology gap of Korean general hospitals. The results and implications were as follows below. First, public general hospitals showed higher meta technical efficiencies than private general hospitals while exhibited lower technology gap ratio which meant a few large private general hospitals led the whole general hospitals. Second, group productivity of private general hospitals increased larger than public general hospitals due to the differences of PTCU rather than FCU. But, there was no statistically significant differences for technical efficiency, productivity change, technology gap. Thus, public general hospitals played the same role as the private general hospitals in terms of the number of patients treated. But, considering financial hardships of public general hospitals, public hospitals needed to share and learn medical and managerial skills of the best practice of private general hospitals.
Author studied on various psychiatric nursing problems applying with the test of questionnaire to the 376 nurses who are attending at 13 general hospitals and one mental hospital in Korea from Apr. 1, 1974 to July 30. 1974. The results obtained were ai follows: 1. 13.095 of nonpsychiatric registered nurses wanted the psychiatric service for their most attractive assignment and this was the 3rd in order next to the general surgical and operating room. Among the psychiatric nurses, the popularity toward psychiatric ward was 31. 0% and they were 26.0%at the private general hospitals and 6, 0% in national public hospitals. 2, The feelings or attitudes of disgust and apprehension on nursing care of the patients at-flirted with infectious diseases were the highest responses (38.5%) and these 1.ends were also appeared in 6.9% of psychiatric nurses. 3. 85.5% of nonpsychiatric registered nurses have had received course lectures on psychiatric nursing and nursing care training on the psychiatric ward at their school of nursing. 38.0% of psychiatric nurses had received post graduate psychiatric nursing and they were higher in national public hospitals (27.0% ) than in private general hospitals (11.0%). 4. The responses of satisfaction and security on their employment were almost similar patterns between nonpsychiatric registered nurses and psychiatric nurses. But among the psychiatric nurses. they were more satisfied at private general hospitals (33.0%) than that of national public hospitals (10.0%). 5. Almost the half of the nurses (50.8%) were employed by the hospitals without considering their past educational or clinical experience or career. Among the psychiatric nurses, who were employed by hospitals without considering their past experience or career were 35.0% in national public hospitals and 12.0% in private hospitals. On the contrary, the nurses who were employed by their wishes fore more higher (26.0%) in private general hospitals than national public hospitals (2.0%). 6. The nurses who thought their employment was fit for their aptitude were 48.6% in nonpsychiatric registered nurses and 51.0% in psychiatric nurses. Among the psychiatric nurses, this response was higher in private general hospitals (34.0%) than the national public hospitals (17.0%). 7. Responses on wort loadings of nurses showed almost same patterns between nonpsychiatric registered nurses and psychiatric nurses. But. among the psychiatric nurses who felt much heavier than the nurses of other part were 24.0% in national public hospitals and 8.0% in private general hospitals. 8. 92.6% of nurses felt that the psychiatric nurses should have post graduate training in psychiatric nursing prior to their assignment. 9. 96.0% of nurses agreed to the risk coverage on the payment for the nurses assigned to the psychiatric ward and the ward for infection diseases.
This study was executed to find out the intensity of turnover intention and its associated factors of radiologic technologists who worked for private clinic and university hospitals in Daejoen. Such variables as social and demographic characteristics, job-related features, job stress, job satisfaction, job performance, organizational commitment and turnover intention were investigated based on the survey of randomly sampled 400 radiologic technologists. The results are summarized as follows. 1. College graduates of private clinic workers were significantly higher than junior college graduates of them in the mean score for turnover intention. And low age groups, unmarried group, no religion group, low job career groups and low income groups of university hospital workers were significantly higher than high age groups, married group, religion group, high job career groups and high income groups of them respectively in the mean score for turnover intention. 2. Private clinic and university hospital workers' low and high groups in the variables of job demand, job control, supervisor support, job satisfaction, organizational commitment showed significant difference in the mean score for turnover intention. specially private clinic workers' low and high groups in the variables of coworker support, job performance showed significant difference in the mean score for turnover intention. 3. A hierarchial multiple regression analysis was conducted to catch the influence of related variables on turnover intention according to private clinic workers and university hospital workers. As a result of the analysis, the higher the degrees of education and job demand were and the lower the degree of job satisfaction was for private clinic workers, the higher the degree of turnover intention was. And the lower the degrees of age, job career, job satisfaction and organizational commitment were for university hospital workers, the higher the degree of turnover intention was. In conclusion, it was found that job demand and job satisfaction for private clinic workers and job satisfaction and organizational commitment for university hospital workers influenced on turnover intention.

Purpose: As the need for a hospital specializing in infectious diseases has increased, construction is being promoted. Hospitals specializing in infectious diseases receive some state subsidies, but in the case of private hospitals, hospital operation efficiency should be considered to prevent cost loss. Therefore, we aim to derive a building plan for a general ward in a hospital specializing in infectious diseases that can be used not only in normal times but also in times of crisis. Methods: In this study, relevant literature review and field interviews were conducted with medical staff working in facilities designated as infectious disease hospitals. Results: The general ward building plan of the hospital specializing in infectious diseases was classified into three categories and presented. 'Spatial composition' for nursing unit and ward zoning, 'Spatial plan' for ward space conversion in normal times and crises, 'Bedroom plan' for effective dimensions and area of the ward. Implications: It can be used as a guideline when designing an infection-facility ward. And it can be a basis for inducing improvements to prevent infection in the ward of existing medical facilities.
To evalate the efficiency of public and private hospitals, the author used Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA), a mathematical linear programming method calculating the of ficiency of a unity(DMU: Decision Making Unit) in relation to the other units in analysis. DEA was applied to thirty three (10 public and 23 private) general hospitals wiwith 160 to 299 beds. In respect to productivity, public hospitals appeared to be a little more efficient than private ones, even though it's statisticansignificant. However, the efficiency score for profitability conversed that these contrary results were due to the caring of more medical protection patients in public hospitals, who brought less revenlue to te hospital than other patients. Public hospitals' superiority to private counterparts in productivity, which are aguged mainly based on cared patients, suggests that the former contributes so much positively to social utility. In particular, the fact that public hospitals are caring more medical protection patients, namely the poverty group whom the society should bear a burden of by all means, seems to be desirable in respect of role of publi hospitals.
This study aims to identify the requirement of death, hospice palliative care education targeting nursing assistant and general workers among hospice palliative care private hospital workers convergencely. The survey period is from September 22 to October 21 in 2016, and 158 workers of hospice palliative care private hospitals in Chungnam region have been surveyed. Detailed results of this study are as follows. In terms of importance of theoretical and practical education in hospice palliative care education content, all of the respondents answered that practical had higher importance than theoretical education. The above results of this study are hoped to be helpful in developing customized hospice palliative care education program that is meeting characteristics and requirements of hospice palliative care private hospital workers, especially for nursing assistants as basic data.

The procedure for the preservation of the alveolar ridge has been widely described in the dental literatures and aims to maintain hard and soft tissues in the extraction site for optimal rehabilitation either with conventional fixed or removable prosthetics or implant-supported prosthesis.
Changed the business environment, private sector focuses on the performance management, so to manage the performance he uses BSC that overcomes the limitation of financial indicators. Also, it is getting emphasized to evaluate the performance about services that the public sector provides and obliged for the public sector to be responsible for managing and improving its performance as the private sector has been doing. But lacks of knowledge and experience on performance management and evaluation are blocking the public sector from introducing and implementing new performance management systems. To solve those problems, this study has derived general guidelines and KPIs that public sector should keep in mind when BSC is introduced new management system. This study focused on the public hospital which is the performance management and evaluation system of Government administration.
The purpose of this study was to find out the restructuring strategy for five provincial hospitals through the business analysis and survey of the service area. Through the survey of the service area of 5 hospitals. service area was classified into three groups, such as underserved area, adequate area, and overserved area. The strategy for the restructuring the clinical departments was set up based on the result of the business analysis and characteristics of the service area. The result of the study was as follows; 1) Whether or not a provincial hospital has specialized in specific area according to the circumstances and the needs of the community was the major factor influencing on the operating result of the hospital. 2) Provincial hospitals at the underserved area has to invest according to the changes of the occupancy rate and increasing pattern of the number of patients while maintaining the status as a general hospital. 3) Provincial hospitals at the adequate area has to lower the grade from the general hospital down to the hospital first and has to upgrade the competency through the restructuring the clinical departments and investment in specific area. 4) Provincial hospitals at the overserved area has to lower the grade from the general hospital down to the hospital first and has to seek ways to change the hospital fundamentally into geriatric hospital, pneumoconiosis hospital or psychiatric hospital etc. Provincial hospitals incapable to compete with private hospitals and clinics has to lower the grade from the general hospital down to the hospital first, to specialize in specific area and to restructure some clinical departments into rental base or self-operating basis. In case such methods are judged not so good solution, provincial hospitals has to find out ways such as shut-down of several departments or operating under the attending system.

This study aims to analyze characteristics, health behaviors and health management level related to private health examination recipients in one general hospital. To achieve this, we analyzed 150,501 cases of private health examination data for 11 years from 2001 to 2011 for 20,696 participants in 2011 in a Dae-Jeon general hospital health examination center. The cluster analysis for classify private health examination group is used z-score standardization of K-means clustering method. The logistic regression analysis, decision tree and neural network analysis are used to periodic/non-periodic private health examination classification model. 1,000 people were selected as a customer management business group that has high probability to be non-periodic private health examination patients in new private health examination. According to results of this study, private health examination group was categorized by new, periodic and non-periodic group. New participants in private health examination were more 30~39 years old person than other age groups and more patients suspected of having renal disease. Periodic participants in private health examination were more male participants and more patients suspected of having hyperlipidemia. Non-periodic participants in private health examination were more smoking and sitting person and more patients suspected of having anemia and diabetes mellitus. As a result of decision tree, variables related to non-periodic participants in private health examination were sex, age, residence, exercise, anemia, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus, obesity and liver disease. In particular, 71.4% of non-periodic participants were female, non-anemic, non-exercise, and suspicious obesity person. To operation of customized customer management business for private health examination will contribute to efficiency in health examination center.
