A Political Proposal for the Private Brand Activation (유통업체 PB상품 활성화를 위한 정책연구)

  • The growth of market share of distributors' brands, also known as private brand, has accelerated in recent years. Sales volumes and market shares of private brands, as well as their appeal to consumers have steadily increased. Carrying private brands comes with numerous advantages, one of which is the relatively high gross margin, which can be 20 - 30% higher compared to manufacturer brands. Recently, many big discount stores are expanding private brand for higher sales volume. Thus, private brands play an important strategic role for retailers. The tendency of growing private brand will decrease sales revenue of both channel members, distributer and manufacturer. The disadvantage for manufacturer is obvious, especially for the manufactures who not only produce their own brands but also retailer brands competing against their own. There are also possible to weaken the brand awareness of manufacturer's brand. The purpose of this study is to explore the perception gap between retailers and manufacturers. we investigated to identify how consumers perceive private brand. In other to study the impact of private brands on distributors, we surveyed the actual condition of private brand and perception towards private brands among consumers, retailers and manufacturers. Based these analysis, we recommended proposal for private brand policies as follows: First, it need to correct imbalance between large retailer and manufacturer. second, we suggest "win-win growth policy", Third, by registering trademark right of national brand, manufacturers have a way of protecting their brands. Forth, manufacturers are encouraged to produce PNB(Private National Brand).

  • Until now, Many papers were written by graduate school students and consultents about railway station as main consideration. But there is no paper about specific private-invested station development. So in this paper, Just consider limiting Dong-Incheon private-invested station on a noncompetitive point of view that also constructed as a part of railway station development. This paper will be referenced of private-invested station management and direction of development in Korail railway station development. Private-invested station development is actively drived to now after Seoul private-invested station in 1989 as Korail's first induced private capital. Dong-Incheon private-invested station also built in 1989 and operated to now, but it can't keep up with current market and can't meet changeable commercial business. So in this paper, comparing Dong-Incheon private-invested station with one of the successful private-invested stations which is youngdengpo private-invested station and seeking the improvement direction of Dong-Incheon private-invested station as considering Dong-Incheon private-invested station's floating, traffic system, walking line, the range of station, the development type, facilities, and other nation's developing cases.

  • This paper, so far to analyze the research trends in the issue that has been discussed for the introduction of private investigation institutions, by projecting its suggestion, want the investigation purpose of presenting the desirable introduction direction. The analyzed issue was extracted for existing research material on the introduction of private investigation institutions. Investigators pointed out issue is the name, business scope, corporate, qualification system (eligibility criteria and test), education, association establishment, regulatory agencies, has been included in the eight categories such as legislation form. For the name, I think there is a need to unify under the name "detective". For the scope of work, the amendment is difficult law, place an overview of the general business rules, more specific and detailed investigation business content, to discipline through the ordinance it is possible to be rational. Private investigation institutions, I think the need for limited operations of the corporation. For education, the new education and re-education on a regular basis I do for the private investigation workers. You must be one of the National Police Agency to the management authority. Legislative form, not to be defined by its own law, the revision of the security law, but that is to complement the provisions for private sector research system is effective.

  • The inter-organizational business process is one of the hot issues in B2B e-commerce. In this paper, through the survey of the inter-organizational business process integration and the analysis of B2Bi related standards, e.g., BPML, WSDL, WSCI, and BPSS, we propose a method of linking BPML and BPSS specifications that can be used to integrate private processes with the public processes among enterprises. We also suggest an application example of the method by redefining a PIP of RosettaNet to the BPSS specification. The basic principle of the method is to maintain the independency of the existing BPML and BPSS applications and to construct an intermediary transformation module between the two applications.

CEO to the Rescue: Residential Proximity of Private Firm CEOs and the Evolution of Corporate Profitability

  • This paper documents how the net profit margin of private firms improves when the CEOs of the companies relocate their primary residence to be closer to the corporate headquarters. By reviewing 127 Korean non-public companies belonging to 66 private business groups, we find that the top managers move closer to the headquarters when the profitability of the firms has recently deteriorated. A one basis point decline in the margin causes CEOs to relocate their homes approximately two kilometers closer to their corporate headquarters. The profit margin rebounds after their relocation. This finding implies that physical proximity can serve as a proxy for personal commitment.

  • This study aims to investigate whether economic growth is elevated by banking industry development in Jordan. The study adopts time-series econometric methodologies, which comprise the bounds testing approach within the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) and the conditional causality analysis. Consistent with the assumptions of the adopted methodology, the study utilized annual time-series data for a relatively long period of thirty-nine years, between 1980 and 2018. The empirical results show that Jordan's economic growth is strongly responsive in respect to any changes in banking industry development. Also, the results reveal the harmful impact of rising lending interest rate; as this rate increases, economic growth will decrease. The findings are in line with the conceptual arguments of the supply-leading hypothesis, which confirmed that banking development is considered as one of the main pillars that have stimulating effects on economic growth. The evidence of the current study may provide important implications for policymakers and bankers. Those professionals should work to maintain a stable regulatory system that enhances the banking system function in activating economic growth. Also, a considerable focus should be placed on designing a steady interest rate policy to avoid the inherently undesirable impacts of high-interest rates on the Jordanian economy.

  • This research aims to give information about the current situation of five financial sources for climate change in Vietnam, including (i) the State budget used by ministries; (ii) the State budget used by provinces; (iii) Bilateral funds; (iv) Multilateral funds; and (v) Private funds, and then classify them in line with the effectiveness. The working paper's secondary data on spending on CC-related activities, collected from reports of six ministries and 29 provinces, show that the State budget has been crucial in subsidizing CC-related activities in Vietnam. Moreover, domestic investment has accounted for a major part of the total expenditure of ministries and provinces for climate change. In addition, by using primary data collected from surveys sent to twelve experts from 5 groups, such as researchers, practical experts, managers of private funding organizations (such as banks and enterprises), managers of international funding organizations and beneficiaries, and then analyzing the data through the AHP method, the study shows that all climate finance sources in Vietnam are still not very effective. However, private sector funds are considered the most effective financial source for responding to climate change.

  • In the initial stage of a national economic development of China, the family business takes enterprise's organizational form ruling position. The private enterprise of China is mainly family business; the family makes the mainly proprietorship in other words. Even in the private enterprise after developing, 70 percents are managed as a family This paper start to study the Transferring Power Patterns in family business using the Company's Life Circle Theory and some other correlative theories. Based on the Transporting Power Model, the paper gives a comprehensive explanation for the choice of transferring power pattern in the family business of China.

  • Current socio-demographic change that small households are increasing fast requires new business model in housing industry. Purpose of this study is to suggest a strategic direction to the private constructors by analyzing the condition of small household's housing and small-housing market in Seoul metropolitan area. With referring to literature and analyzing statistical raw data, it was found that residents of small household were residing in different type, scale and occupation of housing depending on their age, gender and region, and small housing market was at the beginning stage so that there was no dominant figure yet. Implications are as follows: private supplier should satisfy the needs of individual subgroups of small household, then should respond to the industrial change towards rental business, finally were suggested to launch a new brand of small housing.

A Non Face-to-Face Private Loan Screening Model Employing the Ratings Approach of AHP : Development and Validation (AHP의 절대적 측정을 이용한 비대면 개인대출심사모형의 개발)

  • Being the FinTech technologies rapidly developed, the non face-to-face private loan market is also growing dramatically. While the real-world interests in this market are keen, the empirical studies on the issue are few compared to its prospective impact on credit loan market. This paper suggests a credit scoring model for the non face-to-face private loan employing the ratings approach (the absolute measurement method) of AHP. Analyzing a sample of data consisting of 460,000 transaction records over an 8-year period in the United States, we develop a scoring model for the non face-to-face private loan screening, and validate the model for the practical usage. Conducting sensitivity analysis, we suggest customized cut-off points for the loan execution to suit each individual loan institution's need.
