Today's requirements for print-press runnability and print quality demand an optimised absorption and adhesion of printing ink on the paper surface. Modern coating concepts for high glossing offset grades use ultra fine pigments, whereas binder level has continuously been decreased to a minimum in recent years to achieve the highest possible sheet gloss development and for economical reasons. Both the ultra fine pigments and the reduced binder levels lead in many cases to a faster ink setting rate. On the other hand, matt paper grades use relatively coarse pigments leading to a slow ink setting compared to the high glossing papers. Both too fast and too slow ink setting properties implicate drawbacks in print quality and print press runnability. The mechanisms behind the interactions between ink and coating have been presented in many previous publications. The purpose of this study was to determine and quantify how the ink setting rate is influenced by pigment system (GCC and GCC/clay blends), latex level and latex properties in the topcoat of double coated sheet fed offset paper. The roles of binder level and type in the precoat were also assessed. The effect of calendering (temperature and pressure) was studied with one formulation. The resulting ink setting characteristics were tested using three different laboratory testing instruments. The correlation amongst the different laboratory testing methods is discussed. The results show that by varying the latex properties, the pigment system and/or latex addition level, the ink tack development of ink applied to a topcoat pigment system can be significantly influenced. It can be slowed down as often desired with ultra fine pigments or speeded up in the case of coarse pigments. There was no visible effect on the ink setting rate by using different binder systems in the precoat..

Lithography like off-set printing is processed using the repellent properties between water and oil, so all inks for off-printing must work with dampening solution(water). The dampening water may cause the emulsification of ink by the printing pressure in the printing nip. This study aimed to investigate the effect of emulsified inks on print mottle. The cyan ink was emulsified artificially with the different IPA(isopropyl alcohol) content in this study. We evaluated the print mottle by densitometer and image analysis method. The print mottle phenomenon was directly affected by IPA content. The emulsification of inks also had an influence on flow properties of inks and it increased ink transfer rate. It, however, caused low ink density. Moreover the emulsified inks were spreaded to around dots and cause the thinning density on the non-printing area like print mottle. The trial printing showed that the emulsified inks also cause scumming on the printing result with little mistake of adjusting dampening solution and mostly decreasing dot reproduction. We could, therefore, find out the obvious effect of emulsified inks on print mottle.

PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to determine whether two methods of documentation, print and electronic forms, for the assessment of patient-reported outcomes (PRO) in complete denture wearers provide comparable results. The study also quantified the time needed for filling the forms by each method. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Thirty participants enrolled in a university clinic answered two forms (a questionnaire for denture satisfaction and OHIP-EDENT). They provided answers with two application methods in a random order, with a one-month interval between them: (1) electronic forms on a tablet computer; and (2) print forms. The methods were compared in terms of mean results, correlation/agreement, internal consistency, and spent time. RESULTS. Mean results for both methods were similar for each denture satisfaction item (100-mm VAS) and OHIP-EDENT summary score. Both questionnaires presented good internal consistency regardless of the application method (Cronbach's ${\alpha}=0.86$ or higher). Correlation and agreement between the methods regarding specific items was at least moderate for the majority of cases. Mean time for the electronic and print forms were 9.2 and 8.5 minutes, respectively (paired t test, P=.06, non-significant). CONCLUSION. The electronic method is comparable to print forms for the assessment of important PRO of prosthetic treatment for edentulism, considering the results and time needed. Findings suggest the viability of replacing print forms with a tablet for applying the tested inventories in clinical trials.

Printed mottle of coated paper is one of the most common phenomenon and the most difficult problem in offset printing. Offset printing is processed mainly processed by the attractive properties between water and oil, so all inks for off-printing must work with dampening solution(water). It may cause the emulsion on the printing nip from the printing pressure. This study aimed to investigate the effect of emulsified inks on print mottle from emulsified cyan ink by force with each different IP A contents. We measured the print mottle by densitometer and image analysis method. The emulsified inks also give effect to now properties of inks and it caused more ink transfer rate, however, it caused low density of inks. Moreover the emulsified inks were spreaded to around of dots and cause the thinning density on the non-printing area like print mottle. The results showed that the emulsified inks also cause scumming on the printing result with little mistake of adjusting dampening solution and mostly decreasing dot reproduction. So we could find out the obvious effect of emulsified inks to print mottle.
Generally, printers are common for users to use for public use over a wired or wireless local area network. The number of printers in the same network is increasing, and management of multiple printers is needed. To do this, a program that drives two or more printers and a computer connected by a wired or wireless network. When a computer's control department receives a print command for a designated file, it executes the steps of receiving status information from the printer, selecting the printer, and sending the print command execution. As a method of research, we presented a method for selecting differentiation from this study through prior art research and literature research. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to distribute smart print commands according to real-time status information of many printers to increase the efficiency of the printer's management, and to distribute print commands according to the cumulative and usable workload of many printers so that parts replacement of many printers can be instantaneously performed.
The objective of this research was to examine how cultural values expressed in the contents of government and public institutions advertising, based on individualism-collectivism. This study investigated the extent to which government and public institutions print advertisements in Korea and U.S. Study 1 examined the extent to which government and public institutions print advertisements in Korea and U.S. use its intrinsic cultural values. Study 2 carried out experiment to study cultural differences in relative reaction of collectivistic and individualistic government and public institutions print advertising appeals in two countries. Findings of this study showed that cultural background plays role in the usage of government and public institutions print advertising messages and persuasive communication processes. Global marketers and advertisers realize the significance of the cultural similarities and differences that occur in diverse cultures.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status and bibliographic characteristics of large-print books produced and distributed by the Korea Library Association, which participates as an auxiliary operator in the support of the large-print books distribution project promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. As a result of analyzing the list of production books from 2009 to 2022, the average type was 20.5 books and the number of books was 21.7. The subject field of the selected books was 'literature (39.5%)', the proportion of translated books was 19.9%, and the author of the most books was a Beopryun monk with a total of six books. In addition, an average annual number of public libraries where large-print books were distributed was 454, and based on the research results, appropriate measures were sought and proposed in terms of policy, selection, production, and guidance so that the project could continue stably and achieve higher results in the future.
The present study investigated the print richness of early childhood classrooms and examined differences in classroom literacy environment by teacher demographics. The 117 participants were teachers of kindergartens and daycare centers. They responded to a 33-item questionnaire constructed by Wolfersberger et al.(2004). Questionnaire categories included literacy items pertaining to classroom environment and literacy items pertaining to teacher-student interactions. Major findings were that the classroom literacy environment was usually satisfactory. The age and career of teachers was the predictor of the classroom literacy environment, especially 'providing the classroom with literacy tools' and 'arranging literacy tools in the classroom space'.

This study presents a numerical procedure to optimize the shape of dimple surface to enhance turbulent heat transfer in a rectangular channel. The response surface based optimization method is used as an optimization technique with Reynolds-averaged Wavier-Stokes analysis of fluid flow and heat transfer with shear stress transport (SST) turbulence model. The dimple depth-to-dimple print diameter ratio, channel height-to-dimple print diameter ratio, and dimple print diameter-to-pitch ratio are chosen as design variables. The objective function is defined as a linear combination of heat transfer related term and friction loss related term with a weighting factor. full factorial method is used to determine the training points as a mean of design of experiment. The optimum shape shows remarkable performance in comparison with a reference shape.
