This paper presents a methodology to 1-day-forecast stock index using the automatic feature extraction method based on the neural network with weighted fuzzy membership functions (NEWFM). The distributed non-overlap area measurement method selects the minimized number of input features by automatically removing the worst input features one by one. CPP$_{n,m}$(Current Price Position of the day n: a percentage of the difference between the price of the day n and the moving average from the day n-1 to the day n-m) and the 2 wavelet transformed coefficients from the recent 32 days of CPP$_{n,m}$ are selected as minimized features using bounded sum of weighted fuzzy membership functions (BSWFMs). For the data sets, from 1989 to 1998, the proposed method shows that the forecast rate is 60.93%.
The stock price reflects people's psychology, and factors affecting the entire stock market include economic growth rate, economic rate, interest rate, trade balance, exchange rate, and currency. The domestic stock market is heavily influenced by the stock index of the United States and neighboring countries on the previous day, and the representative stock indexes are the Dow index, NASDAQ, and S & P500. Recently, research on stock price analysis using stock news has been actively conducted, and research is underway to predict the future based on past time series data through artificial intelligence-based analysis. However, even if the stock market is hit for a short period of time by the forecasting system, the market will no longer move according to the short-term strategy, and it will have to change anew. Therefore, this model monitored Samsung Electronics' stock data and news information through text mining, and presented a predictable model by showing the analyzed results.

In this paper, we propose an efficient agricultural products price prediction model based on dataset which provided in DACON. This model is XGBoost and CatBoost, and as an algorithm of the Gradient Boosting series, the average accuracy and execution time are superior to the existing Logistic Regression and Random Forest. Based on these advantages, we design a machine learning model that predicts prices 1 week, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks from the previous prices of agricultural products. The XGBoost model can derive the best performance by adjusting hyperparameters using the XGBoost Regressor library, which is a regression model. The implemented model is verified using the API provided by DACON, and performance evaluation is performed for each model. Because XGBoost conducts its own overfitting regulation, it derives excellent performance despite a small dataset, but it was found that the performance was lower than LGBM in terms of temporal performance such as learning time and prediction time.
The purpose of this study is to analyze whether investor anxiety caused by COVID-19 affects cryptocurrency prices in the COVID-19 pandemic, and to experiment with cryptocurrency price prediction based on a deep learning model. Investor anxiety is calculated by combining Naver's Corona search index and Corona confirmed information, analyzing Granger causality with cryptocurrency prices, and predicting cryptocurrency prices using deep learning models. The experimental results are as follows. First, CCI indicators showed significant Granger causality in the returns of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Lightcoin. Second, LSTM with CCI as an input variable showed high predictive performance. Third, Bitcoin's price prediction performance was the highest in comparison between cryptocurrencies. This study is of academic significance in that it is the first attempt to analyze the relationship between Naver's Corona search information and cryptocurrency prices in the Corona phase. In future studies, extended studies into various deep learning models are needed to increase price prediction accuracy.
In this paper, we analyzed the impact of temperature and precipitation on agricultural product prices and predicted the prices of major agricultural products using TensorFlow. As a result of the analysis, the rise in temperature and precipitation had a significant effect on the rise in prices of cabbage, radish, green onion, lettuce, and onion. In particular, prices rose sharply when temperature and precipitation increased simultaneously. The prediction model was useful in predicting agricultural product price changes due to climate change. Through this, agricultural producers and consumers can prepare for climate change and prepare response strategies to price fluctuations. The paper can contribute to understanding the impact of climate change on agricultural product prices and exploring ways to increase the stability and sustainability of agricultural product markets. In addition, it provides important data to increase agricultural sustainability and ensure economic stability in the era of climate change. The research results will also provide useful insights to policy makers and can contribute to establishing effective agricultural policies in response to climate change.
Business entrepreneurs reflect their views of domestic and foreign economic activities on their operation for the growth of their business. The decision, forecasting, and planning based on their economic sentiment affect business operation such as production, investment, and hiring and consequently affect condition of national economy. Business survey index(BSI) is compiled to get the information of business entrepreneurs' economic sentiment for the analysis of business condition. BSI has been used as an important variable in the short-term forecasting models for business cycle analysis, especially during the the period of extreme business fluctuations. Recent financial crisis has arised extreme business fluctuations similar to those caused by currency crisis at the end of 1997, and brought back the importance of BSI as a variable for the economic forecasting. In this paper, the meaning of BSI as an economic sentiment index is reviewed and a GUIDE regression tree is constructed to find out the factors which affect on BSI. The result shows that the variables related to the stability of financial market such as kospi index(Korea composite stock price index) and exchange rate as well as manufacturing operation ratio and consumer goods sales are main factors which affect business entrepreneurs' economic sentiment.
Nowadays, the Designated Driver Services employ dynamic pricing, which adapts in real-time based on nearby driver availability, service user volume, and current weather conditions during the user's request. The uncertain volatility is the main cause of price increases, leading to customer attrition and service refusal from driver. To make a good Designated Driver Services, development of a demand forecasting model is required. In this study, we propose developing a demand forecasting model using data from the Designated Driver Service by considering normal and peak periods, such as rush hour and rush day, as prior knowledge to enhance the model performance. We propose a new methodology called Time-Series with Conditional Probability(TSCP), which combines conditional probability and time-series models to enhance performance. Extensive experiments have been conducted with real Designated Driver Service data, and the result demonstrated that our method outperforms the existing time-series models such as SARIMA, Prophet. Therefore, our study can be considered for decision-making to facilitate proactive response in Designated Driver Services.
There are many debates on the topic of the relationship between oil prices and economic growth. Through the repeated processes of conformations and contractions on the subject, two main issues are developed; one is how to define and drive oil shocks from oil prices, and the other is how to specify an econometric model to reflect the asymmetric relations between oil prices and output growth. The study, thus, introduces the unobserved component model to pick up the oil shocks and a first-order Markov switching model to reflect the asymmetric features. We finally employ unique oil shock variables from the stochastic trend components of oil prices and adapt four lags of the mean growth Markov Switching model. The results indicate that oil shocks exert more impact to recessionary state than expansionary state and the supply-side oil shocks are more persistent and significant than the demand-side shocks.

This paper proposes a genetic algorithm (GA) approach to instance selection in case-based reasoning (CBR) for the prediction of Korea Stock Price Index (KOSPI). CBR has been widely used in various areas because of its convenience and strength in complex problem solving. Nonetheless, compared to other machine learning techniques, CBR has been criticized because of its low prediction accuracy. Generally, in order to obtain successful results from CBR, effective retrieval of useful prior cases for the given problem is essential. However, designing a good matching and retrieval mechanism for CBR systems is still a controversial research issue. In this paper, the GA optimizes simultaneously feature weights and a selection task for relevant instances for achieving good matching and retrieval in a CBR system. This study applies the proposed model to stock market analysis. Experimental results show that the GA approach is a promising method for instance selection in CBR.
