This study examined the relative importance and the effective utility of fermented milk by consumers. The questionnaire was developed by an in-depth interview and literature review and was surveyed on-line. Statistical analysis was carried out descriptive analysis, ANOVA, paired t-test, and conjoint analysis using the SPSS package. First, an analysis of the consumption status of fermented milk found that the consumption frequency was 1-2 times/week (36.2%), 3-4 times/week (26.5%). The product choice attributes of fermented milk were found to be the same with 'taste' (3.93) and 'manufacturing date/expired date' (3.92), rated the highest, followed in order by, 'sanitary quality' (3.82), 'origin of ingredient' (3.81). Comparative analysis of the importance and satisfaction level of the choice attributes of fermented milk showed that the choice attributes with lower satisfaction compared to importance were 'taste', 'nutrients', 'manufacturing data/expired date', 'sanitation quality', 'price', 'manufacturing method' and 'certification of quality' (p<0.001, p<0.01). 'Price' and 'certification of quality' were the choice attributes of fermented milk classified as 'Focus Here' because of its high importance and low satisfaction. The preferred combination of relative importance in choice attributes of the fermented milk was 'domestic resource', 'Eat with spoon', and 'none additives'. Therefore, it is believed that sales will increase if dairy companies can improve the 'price' and 'certification of quality'. In addition, the use of domestic ingredients in the development of new fermented milk products in the future could be an important marketing factor in consumer choice.
Purpose - This paper aims to study the main selection criteria for Islamic banks in Indonesia, and to compare them with those for conventional banks. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This study employs an exploratory approach and a natural experimental design with Factor Analysis and two independent sample tests as statistical analysis methods. A total of 363 questionnaires were distributed to three groups of bank customers-customers of Islamic and conventional banks individually, and those of both banks together (121 respondents in each group). Results - The research shows that service appears to be the most important factor in selecting Islamic banks, in addition to other emotional and rational factors. However, this service cannot be expressed as the Islamic banks' advantage compared to conventional banks, because the latter's customers also perceived service as the most important factor. The parametric mean of importance of service for both Islamic and conventional banks' customers is insignificantly different. Conclusion - Customers of both conventional and Islamic banks have a similar degree of importance for convenience, price, and service.

Uncertainty in housing price fluctuation has great impact on the overall economy due to importance of housing market as both place of residence and investment target. Therefore, estimating housing market condition is a highly important task in terms of setting national policy. Primary indicator of the housing market is a ratio between rent and transaction price of housing. The research explores dynamic relationships between Rent-Transaction price ratio, housing transaction price and jeonse rental price, using Vector Autoregressive Model, in order to demonstrate significance of shifting rent-transaction price that is subject to changes in housing transaction and housing rental market. The research applied housing transaction price index and housing rental price index as an indicator to measure transaction and rental price of housing. The price index and data for price ratio was derived from statistical data of the Kookmin Bank. The time-series data contains monthly data ranging between January 1999 and November 2009; the data was log transformed to convert to level variable. The analysis result suggests that the rising ratio between rent-transaction price of housing should be interpreted as a precursor for rise of housing transaction price, rather than judging as a mere indicator of a current trend.
Purpose: This study investigated beef restaurant's selection attributes using conjoint analysis in order to provide useful information to marketers and managers. Methods: A total of 320 questionnaires were distributed to consumers who visited a beef restaurant in August 2016, and 284 were completed (96.90%). Statistical analyses of data were performed using SPSS/Windows 22.0 for descriptive statistics and conjoint analysis. Results: The results of this study demonstrate the relative importance and level of each attribute for selecting beef restaurants. Price showed the greatest importance (34.86%), followed by origin of beef (27.52%), level of support services (25.72%), and variety of side dishes (11.90%). The optimum attribute combination was various side dishes (0.059), Korean beef (0.385), Very high service level (-0.291), and price of 8,000 won (-0.782). The most preferred beef restaurant gained 37.60% potential market share from choice simulation. There were significant differences in importance of attributes related to age of respondents. For respondents in their 20s and older than 50s, the first consideration was price. Respondents in their 30s considered the level of support services first while those in their 40s considered origin of beef first. Importance of attributes based on companion of respondents revealed that all respondents considered price first. Conclusion: This study contributes to development of marketing plans based on a customer's involvement level focusing on their primary selection criteria when choosing a beef restaurant. Additionally, marketers who manage beef restaurants can estimate the market share of imaginary beef restaurants from these results.
As the competition intensifies and the market matures, marketers are more and more concerned with the relationship marketing. Many of the previous researches have pointed out that not all of the consumers are relationship-oriented. But none of the previous research has systematically investigated this issue. This research investigated the relationship among the three concepts: consumers' intrinsic characteristics, perceived importance of relational benefits, and relationship building intention with the salesperson. In this research the perceived importance of relational benefits is treated as mediating variable in the relationship between consumers' intrinsic characteristics and relationship building intention with the salesperson. The conceptual model in this study can be depicted as follows. From the consumers' perspective relational benefits can be defined as "the additional benefits consumers can receive in addition to core services through the long-term relationship with the service provider." And in this study two kinds of relational benefits are adopted by reviewing the previous research: confidence benefits and social benefits. Relational benefit received from the salesperson is very important to predict consumers' relationship building intention with the salesperson. The more relational benefits consumer wants from the salesperson, the more relationship building intention he/she has. From this point two hypotheses are derived as follows. Hypothesis 1: As the perceived importance of confidence benefit from the salesperson increases, the relationship building intention with the salesperson increases. Hypothesis 2: As the perceived importance of social benefit from the salesperson increases, the relationship building intention with the salesperson increases. In this study four individual characteristics(risk taking tendency, variety-seeking tendency, product knowledge, trust orientation) are hypothesized to influence the perceived importance of confidence benefits from the salesperson. And three individual characteristics(interpersonal orientation, price consciousness, trust orientation) are hypothesized to influence the perceived importance of social benefits from the salesperson. These 7 hypotheses are as follows. Hypothesis 3: As the risk taking tendency increases, the perceived importance of confidence benefits from the salesperson decreases. Hypothesis 4: As the variety-seeking tendency increases, the perceived importance of confidence benefits from the salesperson decreases. Hypothesis 5: As the product knowledge increases, the perceived importance of confidence benefits from the salesperson decreases. Hypothesis 6: As the trust orientation increases, the perceived importance of confidence benefits from the salesperson increases. Hypothesis 7: As the interpersonal orientation increases, the perceived importance of social benefits from the salesperson increases. Hypothesis 8: As the price consciousness increases, the perceived importance of social benefits from the salesperson decreases. Hypothesis 9: As the trust orientation increases, the perceived importance of social benefits from the salesperson increases. The whole model in this study can be depicted as follows: Data were collected from the 396 consumers who actually trade stocks through the salesperson and were analyzed using structural equation model. The analysis results show that consumers' perceived importance of relational benefits(confidence benefit and social benefit) play the roles of mediating variables in the causal relationship between consumers' inherent characteristics and their relationship building intention with the salesperson. As for the individual characteristics, the influences of variety-seeking tendency, trust orientation, and price consciousness are statistically significant. It was found that variety-seeking tendency has a significant negative effect on the perceived importance of confidence benefit, and that trust orientation has a significant positive effect on the perceived importance of both of confidence and social benefit. Finally it was also found that, on the contrary to the influence direction suggested in the hypothesis, price consciousness has a significant positive effect on the perceived importance of social benefit.

The Construction Standard Unit Price (CSUP) sets the standard for calculating the estimated construction cost. The CSUP is used as basic data for preparing a standard price for public construction. Currently, the CSUP is calculated in consideration of the market and construction field conditions. However, a long-term management plan was established to prepare revised standards. As part of the plan, a field survey was conducted on changes in construction conditions and market prices. However, the plan continued for more than 5 years. Thus, the plan has a problem of difficulty continuously managing primary activities that have high importance and high price volatility. Therefore, to efficiently manage the CSUP, this study identifies the primary activities of the CSUP and presents a management plan. Through importance analysis and unit price volatility analysis, 242 primary activities in 35 activity groups were identified. Also, a management plan is presented based on the importance levels of activities. The primary activities and management plan could enable the timely revision of important activities. The results of this study provide a base for reflecting the appropriateness of construction cost criteria on time.
The purpose of this study was to investigate importance and performance about the quality attributes of bean coffee and instant coffee for the Koreans and the Mongolians. The survey was conducted in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, Korea and in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from April to May, 2012. The questionnaire was distributed to 380 Koreans and 380 Mongolians, and 253 and 250 copies were collected from the Koreans and the Mongolians, respectively, for statistical analyses. For the importance-performance analysis(IPA), 14 quality attributes of bean coffee and instant coffee were investigated. The main results of this study were as follows. In the importance and performance comparison about the bean coffee quality, taste, aroma, quantity, price, hygiene, freshness and shelf life were more important to the Koreans than to the Mongolians. On the other hand, nutrition and ingredient were regarded as more important attributes for the Mongolians. Also, price, nutrition, temperature and ingredient were better performance to the Mongolians than to the Koreans. In the importance and performance comparison about the instant coffee quality, quantity and price were more important to the Koreans than to the Mongolians. However, nutrition and temperature were more important to the Mongolians. Moreover, nutrition, temperature, variety and freshness were better performance to the Mongolians than to the Koreans. According to the IPA results of 14 quality attributes of bean coffee, the selection attributes with high importance but low performance were price and shelf life for the Koreans, while nutrition, hygiene and ingredient for the Mongolians. For instant coffee, the selection attributes with high importance but low performance were hygiene and concentration for the Koreans, while concentration and ingredient for the Mongolians.

Every construction company should consider the apartment price when building apartment houses because the sales price has a great impact on the rate of apartment sales. Here, the average apartment price and characteristics of an apartment complex are factors that determine the sales price. However, the existing apartment pricing method fails to properly reflect the weight of each factor. Therefore, the study investigates factors that impact the apartment price and importance of each factor. It examines the apartment pricing method taking into account of the weight.

As needs for telecommunications services diversify, an increasingly wide range of telecommunications services is becoming available in the market. Any subscriber can find a service to satisfy his/her telecommunication requirements and competition between providers to retain heavy users is increasing. Service price reductions are one retention strategy, although price reductions for one service can affect the individual-level usage for other services. Price reductions can also be imposed on a service provider by regulation. For these reasons, understanding how price reductions affect service usage is of growing importance to the telecommunications industry for purposes of pricing and tariff development. In this paper, we develop an individual-level usage model for telecommunications services and analyze the effects on usage of a price reduction. We apply the model to age-stratified aggregate traffic data for a Korean mobile telecommunication service provider. Finally, we develop a model to support a market segmentation and price reduction strategy.

Although importance of the price and objective quality relationships, very few studies have investigated the relationship related to apparel products. The purpose of this study were to examine 1990's the relationship between price and objective apparel products quality in the Korea Market and the United States market. Data sources in this study consisted of consumer magazines which were published by nonprofit organizations(1990 ∼1999) : Consumer Times(Korea), and Consumer Reports(U.S.A). The results showed that the correlations between price and objective apparel products quality were very weak positive and highly dependent upon the specific apparel product categories. Therefore, price was not a reliable measure of apparel products quality in the two countries market places. This study will help the consumer understand the relationship between price cues and apparel product objective quality and provide additional information to enhance purchase decision making.
