An Application of Sliding Horizon Control to an Electro- Hydraulic Automotive Seat Simulator

  • The paper demonstrates the tracking performance of a sliding horizon feedback/feedforward preview optimal control when applied to a hydraulic motion simulator which has been built to provide a means of replicating the actual ride dynamics of an automobile seat/human system. The design was developed by solving an ordinary differential equation problem instead of a Ricatti equation. Simulation results indicate that the proposed technique has good performance improvement in phase tracking when compared to the classical design methods. It is also found that the controller can be adjusted more easily for robustness due to more tuning parameters.

  • The paper intends to summarize some guidelines for future smart structure system application in military aircraft. This preview of system integration is based upon a review on approximately one and a half decades of application oriented aerospace related smart structures research. Achievements in the area of structural health monitoring, adaptive shape, adaptive load bearing devices and active vibration control have been reached, potentials have been identified, several feasibility studies have been performed and some smart technologies have been already implemented. However the realization of anticipated visions and previously initial timescales announced have been rather too optimistic. The current development shall be based on a more realistic basis including more emphasis on fundamental aircraft strength, stiffness, static and dynamic load and stability requirements of aircraft and interdisciplinary integration requirements and improvements of integrated actors, actuator systems and control systems including micro controllers.

  • Narrow commuter vehicles can address many congestion, parking and pollution issues associated with urban transportation. In making narrow vehicles safe, comfortable and acceptable to the public, active tilt control systems are likely to playa crucial role. This paper focuses on the development of an active direct tilt control system for a narrow vehicle that utilizes an actuator in the vehicle suspension. A simple PD controller can stabilize the tilt dynamics of the vehicle to any desired tilt angle. However, the challenges in the tilt control system design arise in determining the desired lean angle in real-time and in minimizing tilt actuator torque requirements. Minimizing torque requirements requires the tilting and turning of the vehicle to be synchronized as closely as possible. This paper explores two different control design approaches to meet these challenges. A Receding Horizon Controller (RHC) is first developed so as to systematically incorporate preview on road curvature and synchronize tilting with driver initiated turning. Second, a nonlinear control system that utilizes feedback linearization is developed and found to be effective in reducing torque. A close analysis of the complex feedback linearization controller provides insight into which terms are important for reducing actuator effort. This is used to reduce controller complexity and obtain a simple nonlinear controller that provides good performance.

ePUB 기반 전자책 DRM의 부분열람 제어 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study of Partial Preview Control Method of ePUB-based eBook DRM)

  • ePUB은 국제전자출판포럼(IDPF)에서 2009년 표준으로 발표된 이후로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 전자책 포맷중 하나이다. ePUB은 ZIP Archive 형식으로 압축되어 있고, 내부적으로 OCF라 불리는 표준포맷으로 구조화되어 있다. 현재 국내외적으로 ePUB에 DRM을 적용하여 전자책 서비스가 활발하게 이루어지고 있으나 ePUB를 하나의 키로 암호화하고 있어 미리보기 기능 등과 같은 산업계의 다양한 요구 사항을 충족하지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 ePUB을 기반으로 한 전자책 콘텐츠를 단순하게 하나의 키로 암호화하지 않고, 다중 키 암호화 방식을 적용하여 보다 다양한 사업 모델의 적용이 가능한 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 다중 키 방식을 적용한 암호화 기법은 이를 위한 라이선스 발급 및 전송 기법, 그리고 eBook 리더에서 복호화하여 활용하는 기법과 병행하여 실제로 응용 가능한 형태로 제안한다. 제안된 다중 키 암호화 방식을 적용하게 되면 ePUB기반의 전자책 콘텐츠의 부분적 열람 기능이 가능하고, 이를 통하여 다양한 서비스 모델에 적용할 수 있으며, 단일 키 암호화 방식보다 보안성을 높일 수 있다.

차선의 우천시 야간 시인성 향상을 위한 그라스 비드 적용 연구 (High Performance Glass Beads for Traffic Marking in Wet Weather)

  • 운전자 생명선인 차선은 주간 시인성, 야간 시인성, 야간 젖은 상태 시인성, 야간 강우시 시인성으로 구분된다. 본 연구는 특히, 비와 관련되어 기상이 불안전한 조건에서 운전자의 주행 안전 확보를 목적으로 하였다. 차선의 시인성은 사전 인지시간(Preview time) 과 감지거리(Detection distances)와 밀접한 관계가 있으며, 야간 교통사고 감소를 위하여 차선 재료 성능을 향상시켜 차선의 주야간과 우천시 주야간 시인성의 척도인 Dry 재귀반사도(Dry retroreflectivity) 및 Wet 재귀반사도(Wet Retroreflectivity)를 높이기 위한 방안을 마련하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 차선 도료용 유리알 굴절률 nD=1.50의 분석과 시인성의 척도인 재귀반사도를 향상시키기 위하여 가장 중요한 변수인 기능성 차선 도료용 유리알 굴절률 nD=2.2.을 도입하였다. 국내외 최소 한계 재귀반사도(Minimum threshold retroreflectivity) 및 최소 인지 재귀반사도(Install minimum retroreflectivity)를 조사하여 차선의 시인성 확보를 위한 최소한의 관리 수치를 규명하였으며 아울러 국내기존 차선 재료의 물리적 특성 그리고 재귀반사도의 시험을 통하여 우천 시 야간 재귀반사도 향상 방안을 마련하였다.

능동 현가장치가 차량의 핸들링에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the effects of active suspension upon vehicle handling)

  • This paper develops a 7 DOF vehicle model to study the effects of the active suspension on ride. The model is used to derive a control law for the active suspension using a full state linear optimal control technique. A wheelbase preview type active suspension is also considered in the control law derivation. The time delay between wheelbases is approximated using Pade approximation technique. The ride model is extended to a 14 DOF handling model. The 14 DOF handling model includes lateral, longitudinal, yaw and four wheel spin motions in addition to the 7 DOF ride model. A control law which is derived considering only ride related parameters is used to study the effects of the active suspension on a vehicle handling. J-turn maneuver simulation results show that the active suspension has a slower response in lateral acceleration and yaw rate, a bigger steady state lateral acceleration and an oversteer tendency. Lane changing maneuver simulation results show that the active suspension has a little bigger lateral acceleration but a much smaller roll angle and roll motion. Braking maneuver simulation results show that the active suspension has a much smaller pitch angle and pitch motion.

  • 무인 자율 주행 차량이 야지 환경에서 안전하게 주행하기 위해서는 차량의 주행 안정성이 반드시 고려되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 주행 안정성 분석을 위한 자율 주행 시뮬레이션에 적용되는 경로 추종 제어기를 제시한다. 경로 추종 제어기는 Preview 거리를 사용하여 차량의 지향 각을 제어하고, 요 모멘트 관측기로부터 추정된 외란 모멘트를 보상하여 지향 각 오차와 횡 방향 거리 오차를 감소시킨다. 곡선 경로에서는 곡률을 이용하여 차량의 주행 속도를 결정한다. 대상 차량은 6X6 스키드 조향 차량이기 때문에 6개의 휠에 서로 다른 구동력을 분배하는 방법을 사용하여 주어진 경로를 주행한다. ADAMS에서 모델링 된 차량을 MATLAB과 연동시켜 시뮬레이션하고, 경로 추종 제어기 성능을 검증하였다.

한국 어패럴 머천다이저의 역할에 대한 연구 (The Role of Apparel Merchandisers’in Korea)

  • This study examined the role of apparel merchandisers’in Korea. Data were collected by interviewing 7 apparel merchandisers who had worked for major apparel manufacturers. The interviews were analyzed by use of chronologically sequenced events. Korean apparel merchandisers take part in planning and production of the merchandise, sales management, and promotion. Merchandisers’activities related to merchandise planning were as follows: analysis of fashion trend and market, concept evolvement, planning of assortment and volume assortment, time table set up, color pallette decision, fabrication, line adoption, pricing, line preview, production planning, and placing order of materials. Merchandisers’activities related to apparel production were planning and controlling production and consolidation. In sales, merchandisers analyze retail sales and control inventory by reorder or conducting markdown sale. In relation to promotion, apparel merchandisers monitor merchandise advertisement, and educate salesman.

  • Gap and thickness difference information between blanks are often necessary for tailored blank welding quality evaluation , optimum welding parameters selection and evaluation of shearing machine, blink allocation device accuracy and clamping device. We develope 3D vision system and camera unit using structured lighting for this purpose. A simple ar d efficient scheme for gap and thickness feature recognition Is developed as well as measurements. Experimental results shows this system measuring accuracy is 10 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 16${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for gap and thickness difference respectively The data are expexed to be useful for preview gap control.

맞춤판재 용접용 3차원 비젼 감시기 개발 (Developement of 3-D Vision Monitoring System for Tailored Blank Welding)

  • A 3-D vision system is developed to evaluate blanks' line up and monitor gap and thickness difference between blanks in tailored blank welding system. A structured lighting method is used for 3-D vision recognition. Images of sheared portion in blanks are irregular according to roughness of blank surface, shape of sheared geometry and blurring. It is difficult to get accurate and reliable informations in the case of using binary image processing or contour detection techniques in real time for such images. We propoe a new energy integration method robust to blurring and changes of illumination. The method is computationally simple, and uses feature restoration concept, different to another digital image restoration methods which aim image itself restoration and may be used in conventional applications using structured line lighting technique. Experimental results show this system measuring repeatability is .+-. pixel for gap and thickness difference in static and dynamic tests. The data are expected to be useful for preview gap control.
