Background: This study analyzed the practice of dental medical dispute prevention rules of dental hygienists to present an improvement plan for improving perceived importance and practice and provide data for the development of effective medical dispute prevention programs. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted targeting dental hygienists who were providing assistance at dental hospitals and dental clinics in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do regions from March 22 to April 28, 2022. The questionnaire collected from 273 dental hygienists consisted of eight questions on general characteristics, 30 questions on medical dispute experience, and 14 questions on medical dispute prevention. Results: Complaints showed a high experience rate in 'Consultation & reservation', medical disputes in 'Patient handling (unkind) related', and 'Prosthesis installation and cement removal'. In both the importance and practice of medical dispute prevention rules, 'Preservation of medical records and other medical-related data' was high, and 'Management of patients on standby for a long time' was low in terms of practice. 'Lack of time' and 'Lack of manpower' were cited as reasons for not resolving dental treatment disputes. The importance of dental dispute prevention rules was found to be significant according to age and position, and it was also found to affect the level of practice. Conclusion: Seventy-six-point six percent of the respondents said that education on the prevention of medical disputes was necessary, although they lacked recognition of prevention rules compared to their perceptions and experiences. This study suggested specifying prevention rules in dental hygiene subjects and expanding education, improvement of dental treatment system, revise the law on the range of work to improve the recognition and practice of prevention rules.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify relationships among knowledge and skills about suicide prevention, attitudes toward suicide, and burnout of suicide prevention work of nurses at mental health welfare centers. Methods: An explanatory sequential mixed-method research was conducted. For the quantitative study, the subjects (nurses) were 133 nurses executing suicide prevention work. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. For the qualitative research, 13 nurses with high burnout scores were interviewed. The data were analyzed using theme analysis method. Results: Quantitative results showed the average burnout of suicide prevention work was 54.62 ± 12.51. The burnout of suicide prevention work had significant correlations with attitudes toward suicide (r = .30, p < .001) and suicide prevention skills (r = - .18, p = .037). Qualitative results showed six themes related to burnout of suicide prevention work. They were 'feeling a lack of confidence in one's suicide counselling skills', 'feeling of the limits of one's ability to cope with a suicide crisis', 'feeling regret for not being able to help the clients', 'being over-empathetic to the clients', 'Not being able to understand the clients because the subjects (nurses) opposes committing suicide', and 'thinking that the suicidal thoughts of suicide attempters do not improve'. Conclusion: To reduce burnout of nurses' suicide prevention work at mental health welfare centers, there is a need to develop an educational program considering nurses' attitudes toward suicide and one to enhance their confidence in suicide prevention skills.

The purpose of this research is to develop a decision-making model for the calculation of the National Disaster Management System's standard prevention workforce quota. The final purpose of such model is to support in arranging a rationally sized prevention workforce for local authorities by providing information about its calculation in order to support an effective and efficient disaster management administration. In other words, it is to establish and develop a model that calculates the standard disaster prevention workforce quota for basic local governments in order to arrange realistically required prevention workforce. In calculating Korea's prevention workforce, it was found that the prevention investment expenses, number of prevention facilities, frequency of flood damage, number of disaster victims, prevention density, and national disaster recovery costs have positive influence on the dependent variable when the standard prevention workforce was set as the dependent variable. The model based on the regression analysis-which consists of dependent and independent variables-was classified into inland mountainous region, East coast region, Southwest coastal plain region to reflect regional characteristics for the calculation of the prevention workforce. We anticipate that the decision-making model for the standard prevention workforce quota will aid in arranging an objective and essential prevention workforce for Korea's basic local authorities.

Past and current customer behavior is the best predicator of future customer behavior. This paper introduces a procedure on personalized defection detection and prevention for an online game site. The basic idea for our defection detection and prevention is adopted from the observation that potential defectors have a tendency to take a couple of months or weeks to gradually change their behavior (i.e. trim-out their usage volume) before their eventual withdrawal. For this purpose, we suggest a SOM (Self-Organizing Map) based procedure to determine the possible states of customer behavior from past behavior data. Based on this representation of the state of behavior, potential defectors are detected by comparing their monitored trajectories of behavior states with frequent and confident trajectories of past defectors. The key feature of this study includes a defection prevention procedure which recommends the desirable behavior state for the ext period so as to lower the likelihood of defection. The defection prevention procedure can be used to design a marketing campaign on an individual basis because it provides desirable behavior patterns for the next period. The experiments demonstrate that our approach is effective for defection prevention and efficient for defection detection because it predicts potential defectors without deterioration of prediction accuracy compared to that of the MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron) neural network.
In order to strengthen the disaster prevention phase and the management of social disasters, we will examine the plan of To-Be disaster management system interconnected by using intelligent information technologies such as IoT, Cloud, Big Data, Mobile and AI. The disaster management system can be upgraded by constructing an intelligent infrastructure based on Big Data analysis of the disaster signals before and after the disasters generated by private mobile and IoT. Big Data of disaster Signals can be customized to users in a timely manner through AI methodologies of supervised and unsupervised learning and reinforcement training. In the long term, it is expected that not only will the capacity of disaster response be improved, but the management ability centering on prevention will be enhanced as well.

Chemical Accident Response Information System (CARIS) which has been designed for the efficient emergency response of chemical accidents produces the real-time atmospheric fields through the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System, RAMS. The previous studies were emphasized that improving an initial input data had more effective results in developing prediction ability of atmospheric model. In a continuous effort to improve an initial input data, we replaced the land-use dataset using in the RAMS, which is a high resolution USGS digital data constructed in April, 1993, with the latest land-use data of the Korea Ministry of Environment over the South Korea and simulated atmospheric fields for developing a real-time prediction in dispersion of chemicals. The results showed that the new land-use data was written in a standard RAMS format and shown the modified surface characteristics and the landscape heterogeneity resulting from land-use change. In the results of sensitivity experiment we got the improved atmospheric fields and assured that it will give more reliable real-time atmospheric fields to all users of CARIS for the dispersion forecast in associated with hazardous chemical releases as well as general air pollutants.

Background: While efforts have been made to differentiate fall risk in older adults using wearable devices and clinical methodologies, technologies are still infancy. We applied a decision tree (DT) algorithm using inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor data and clinical measurements to generate high performance classification models of fall risk of older adults. Objects: This study aims to develop a classification model of fall risk using IMU data and clinical measurements in older adults. Methods: Twenty-six older adults were assessed and categorized into high and low fall risk groups. IMU sensor data were obtained while walking from each group, and features were extracted to be used for a DT algorithm with the Gini index (DT1) and the Entropy index (DT2), which generated classification models to differentiate high and low fall risk groups. Model's performance was compared and presented with accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. Results: Accuracy, sensitivity and specificity were 77.8%, 80.0%, and 66.7%, respectively, for DT1; and 72.2%, 91.7%, and 33.3%, respectively, for DT2. Conclusion: Our results suggest that the fall risk classification using IMU sensor data obtained during gait has potentials to be developed for practical use. Different machine learning techniques involving larger data set should be warranted for future research and development.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship among injury prevention practices, health locus of control, and response patterns to HLOC of the elderly. Subjects were 121 healthy elderly. The data had been collected from November 5 to 18 in 2001 and analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression. Health locus of control and injury prevention practices were measured by using MHLC scale and an instrument created by the researcher on the basis of the results of literature review respectively. The results of this study were as follows: The mean score of injury prevention practices was 2.80 and the mean scores for the health locus of control were internal health locus of control : 17.25, external health locus of control : 16.09, and chance health locus of control : 14.26. The response patterns of the HLOC identified were six types; pure internal, pure powerful others, pure chance, double external, believers in control, and complex control. The 'pure internal' was the largest group(35.5%), and the 'believers in control' was the next(31.4%). The relationship between internal health locus of control and the injury prevention practices of the elderly revealed a significant correlation(r=.215, p=.018). The relationship between external health locus of control and the injury prevention practices of the elderly revealed a significant correlation (r= .208, p=.022). There was significant difference between response patterns of the health locus of control and injury prevention practices(F=2.393, p=.042). There were significant differences between injury prevention practices and general characteristic factors, which were education, family type, administration of medication, injury experience, ADL, and self-directed search for health information. Self-directed search for health information, injury experience, and education explained 16.7% of the variance for injury prevention practices. The above results may be used as the basic data for seeking more efficient way of improving safety of the elderly.
Purpose: This research was conducted to determine the effects of fall prevention exercise and education on physical fitness, fall efficacy, and fall prevention behavior among community-dwelling older adults. Methods: This study applied nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected from January 8th to March 4th, 2015. There were 24 subjects in the experimental group and 21 in the control group from two different senior citizen center in B city. The fall prevention program consisted of exercise, education, and telephone coaching was developed using self-efficacy theory: 'Performance accomplishment', 'Vicarious experience', 'Verbal persuasion', 'Emotional arousal'. Then, it was conducted once a week for 8 weeks. Data were analyzed with $x^2$ test and t-test using the SPSS program. Results: The findings indicated that fall prevention program conducted on older adults is good for improving their muscular strength in lower extremities (t=6.25, p<.001), physical balance (t=2.66, p=.014), physical flexibility (t=2.88, p<.001) and fall prevention behavior (t=6.19, p<.001). Conclusion: The fall prevention program can be used for community-dwelling older adults as a nursing intervention that enables older adults to enhance their self-care continuously. It is necessary to conduct a follow-up study to see if a self-help meeting could improve self-efficacy.
