KSR-III 추진제 탱크 압력 조절용 레귤레이터 개발 (The Development of Pressure Regulator of Propellant Tank for KSR-III)

  • 압력조절 레귤레이터는 KSR-III 추진제 탱크의 압력 조절용으로 개발하였다. KSR-III 가압 시스템은 가압 탱크, 압력조절용 레귤레이터, 추진제 탱크로 구성된 가장 기본적인 시스템이며 레귤레이터는 헬륨 탱크, 파이로밸브, 헬륨주입밸브와 더불어 가장 핵심적인 부품이다. 1차 시제품으로 기밀, 강도, 기본 성능을 만족하는 상세 설계를 완성하였고 2차 시제품으로 추진기관 종합수류시험을 수행하였다. 2차시험을 통해서 밸브의 용량(Cv)을 늘려야 할 필요성이 나타났다. 3차 시제품에 이를 개선하였으며 추진기관 종합 실추진제 시험과 연소시험을 통해 최종 검증하였다.

  • The development process of KSR-III propulsion feeding system is subscripted. The purpose of propulsion feeding system is to feed a certain amount of propellant from propellant tank to engine by the end of combustion. Pressure-fed liquid rocket, KSR-III has the unique characteristics of both pressure regulator and cavitation venturi as a passive flow control device. Main parameters of feeding system are confirmed by both water test and CFD(전산유체) technique. Flow control effect with venturi is confirmed by water test. Initial stabilization characteristic of pressure regulator is confirmed by real propellant test. And, to avoid the effect of resonance between rocket and feeding system, this article deal with POGO(포고) analysis to the feeding system.

  • In this paper, the cause of the discrepancy of the inlet and outlet flow of the lubricating oil feed pump was analyzed by the flow measurement and the analysis of the flow network. At first, we thought that the flow difference was induced by a leak in the middle of the flow network. But, through the flow measurement using ultrasonic flow meter and the performance analysis of the pump, we knew that the cause of the flow difference was due to a drop in efficiency of the pump according to the pressure drop of the outlet. Also, we knew that the shape of the piping had no effect on the efficiency of the pump.

대형 2행정 디젤기관용 축압분배기 부착 전자제어식 퀼 시스템 모터구동 실린더 주유기의 주유 불균일률에 관한 연구 (A Study on Inequality Rate of Lubrication for Motor-driven Cylinder Lubricator by the Electronically Controlled Quill System Equipped with an Accumulating Distributor in a Large Two-stroke Diesel Engine)

  • Minimizing the cylinder wear and the consumption rate of cylinder oil in a large two-stroke diesel engine is of great economic importance. A motor-driven cylinder lubricator for Sulzer RT-flex large two-stroke diesel engines developed by authors is in need of mounting a quill system to lubricate cylinder parts for a smooth operation. In order to apply the common-rail lubricating system to the developed cylinder lubricator as the second research stage, the mechanical quill system with a progressively quantitative distributor (M.D.S.) is improved in the electronically controlled quill system with an accumulating distributor (E.D.S.). In this study, the effects of lubricator motor speed, plunger stroke and cylinder back pressure on oil feed rate and inequality rate are experimentally investigated by applying E.D.S. to the developed cylinder lubricator. It is found that the oil feed rate of E.D.S. is higher than that of M.D.S. because of the increase of delivery speed and volume by changing the role of accumulator in the same experimental condition. It can be also shown that, in E.D.S., the inequality rate is decreased a little or hardly unchanged as the cylinder back pressure and plunger stroke is elevated, while the inequality rate increased in M.D.S.. The inequality rates of E.D.S. and M.D.S. are lowered as the lubricator motor speed is increased.

  • 다공 및 다단오리피스열을 해석할 수 컴퓨터코드를 사용하여 원자력발전소 내 공급 및 배출장치의 수축오리피스를 설계하였다. 원래 단공 오리피스가 설치되었으나 다공 오리피스 설치가 필요하여 설계 변경되었다. 오리피스 사이 거리는 충분한 압력회복거리로 유지되었다. 최소 정압은 공동현상 방지를 위하여 그 온도에 상응하는 증기압 이하로 유지되도록 설계하였다. 오리피스 설치 배관의 직경은 운전시 강성을 유지할 수 있도록 원래 크기보다 증가시켰다.

Feasibility of Long Term Feed and Bleed Operation For Total Loss of Feedwater Event

  • The conventional Equipment Environment Qualification (EEQ) envelope is developed based on the containment responses during the design basis events. The Safety Depressurization System (SDS) design without In-containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST) adopted in the Ulchin 3&4 challenges the conventional EEQ envelope during long term Feed and Bleed (F&B) operation due to the direct discharge of high mass and energy into the containment. Therefore, it is necessary to confirm that the containment pressure and temperature history during the long term F&B operation does not violate the conventional EEQ envelope. However, this subject has never been quantitatively assessed before. To investigate the success path of long term F&B operation this paper analyzes the thermal hydraulic response of the containment and Reactor Coolant System (RCS) until the completion of depressurization and cooldown of RCS into Shutdown Cooling System (SCS) entry condition. It is found that the SCS entry condition can be reached within 6 hours without violating the EEQ curve by proper operation of SDS valves, High Pressure Safety Injection (HPSI) pumps and active Containment Heat Removal System (CHRS). The suggested strategy not only demonstrates the feasibility of long term F&B operation but also can be utilized in the preparation of Emergency Procedure Guidelines (EPGs)

액체로켓의 연소안정을 위한 유량공급에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on the Flow Control for Stable Combustion of Liquid Rocket)

  • In liquid rocket engine, propellant feed rate is proportional to approximately square root of the pressure difference between injector head and combustion chamber. This ΔP depends on the engine design, but in general on the order of 50psi. However, during ignition period, especially for the pressurized feed system, combustion chamber pressure is almost atmospheric and large ΔP causes over flow of propellants which may lead to catastrophic accident due to hard start. Hard start may be prevented by applying cavitating venturi or/and two step ignition. In cavitating venturi, evaporated propellants near the venturi throat become chocked and flow rate depends on only upstream condition. In two step ignition propellants are supplied to the liquid engine in two different flow rate. First step, to avoid hard start, small amount of propellants are supplied to build up chamber pressure in safe zone, then full propellants to ensure design pressure. In this study, both cavitating venturi and two step ignition method were used for the hot test and hard start problem was completely solved.

  • 밀기울의 물리화학적 변형을 유도하기 위하여 3가지 형태의 스크류 조합을 달리한 이축 압출성형 가공시 수반되는 시스템 변수(압출온도, 압출압력, 기계적에너지 소모율, 평균 체류시간)의 변화를 분석하였다. 스크류는 reverse screw element(RSE)를 바렐의 중앙부에 3, 4 및 5개를 조합한 형태를 사용하여 스크류의 회전속도 $280{\sim}380\;rpm$, 원료의 공급속도 $22{\sim}38\;kg/hr$, 원료의 수분함량 $17{\sim}33%$ 범위에서 압출성형을 실시하였다. 압출온도는 RSE의 갯수가 증가할수록 상승하였고, 원료의 공급량과 수분함량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 압출압력은 원료의 충진율이 감소하면 낮아졌으며, RSE가 많을수록 압출온도가 상승함으로서 용융물질의 점도가 떨어져 압력이 감소하였다. 또 원료의 공급량이 증가하고 원료의 수분함량이 낮을수록 압출압력이 감소하였다. 기계적에너지 소모율(specific mechanical energy; SME)은 원료의 공급량과 수분함량이 증가할수록 감소하였으며, RSE의 갯수를 3개에서 5개로 조합하여 사용함에 따라서 SME가 증가하였다. 평균체류시간(RT)은 RSE를 4개 조합한 경우가 가장 길었고, die hole의 크기가 작을수록 RT도 증가하였다. 원료의 공급량이 증가함에 따라서 RT는 감소하였으며, 원료의 수분함량이 증가될수록 RSE가 3개인 경우에는 RT가 증가하였고 4개 및 5개인 경우는 감소하였다.

  • The ultra-precision machining is widely used for final machining process of precision parts, so in this study, mirror surface finishing systems using the micro abrasive film, one of ultra-precision machining method, have to examine mirror surface characteristics of the cylindrical workpiece(SM45) such as surface roughness, workpiece removal and evaluated under the condition varing film feed rate, applied pressure, grinding speed after fixing other condition. It was found that varrious machining condition have significant influences on workpiece removal, surface roughness.

  • The downstream piping system of the water supply system in a supercritical power plant is affected by the fluctuation pressure waves induced by accessing to the acoustic modes of the piping systems with the rotation and impeller passing pulsations of the feed water pump. There are the phenomena amplified at the same time in the range of 415 ~ 455Hz, 830 ~ 910Hz, 1245 ~ 1365Hz and 1660 ~ 1820Hz on the spectrums of the vibration, the sound pressure, and the pressure fluctuation waves.
