터보팬 엔진의 고고도 성능의 초음속 이젝터의 압력회복에 관한 연구 (Pressure Recovery in a Supersonic Ejector of a High Altitude Turbofan Engine Testing Chamber)

  • 본 연구는 최소 압력 모사로 엔진 배기가스를 배출시키기 위한 최적 이젝터 크기를 결정하기 위한 것을 목적으로 한다. 실험 챔버로 유입되는 2차 냉각 공기는 유량제어 밸브들과 진공펌프가 장착된 배출구를 통해 엔진배기가스는 분리되어 배출된다. 기존 고도시험 장치와 달리, 본 연구에 제안한 형상은 기존 이젝터의 압력 회복을 개선한 좀 더 작은 포획 면적을 가진 배기 이젝트를 사용하면 가스에 스텔링 챔버로 부터 20% 냉각 공기를 부가하여 배출시키도록 크기가 정해진다. 제안된 형상은 벨마우스 이젝터와 엔진배기 출구의 면적비가 이론적으로 약 1.2를 갖는다. 제안된 형상의 혼합 공기 모사결과에 따르면 큰 에너지는 기존 시스템 비해 좀 더 개선된 압력 회복과 감소된 전력 소모를 같음을 확인하였다.

  • 지구 온난화와 화석 연료 고갈로 인해 $CO_2$ 저감과 효율 상승을 동시에 만족하는 기술 개발이 요구된다. 배기 열 회수 기술은 두 가지를 모두 만족할 수 있는 대표적인 기술이다. 본 연구는 배기 열 회수 장치를 위한 세 가지 형식의 증발기용 열교환기를 배기관에 설치하여 실험 및 분석하였다. 고속최대부하에서 판형 열교환기의 배압이 가장 높아지고 실린더 최고 압력이 낮아지며 일산화탄소 배출량도 증가하였다. 또한 고속에서 배압이 2배 이상 증가하며 연료소비율이 2% 증가되어 열교환기 중 가장 높은 증가량을 나타내었다. 핀 튜브 열교환기는 전반적으로 배기 배출물이 적게 배출되고 연료소비율도 가장 적게 나타났다. 쉘 앤 튜브는 판형과 핀 튜브 성능의 중간정도이다. 엔진에 미치는 영향으로만 판단할 때 핀 튜브 열교환기가 배기 열 회수에 가장 적합한 열교환기로 판단된다.

  • This study was performed to investigate the performance of heat recovery device attached to exhaust gas funnel connected to combustion chamber of greenhouse heating system. The experiment heat recovery system is mainly consisted of LPG combustion chamber and two heat recovery units; unit-A is attached directly to the exhaust gas funnel, and unit-B is connected with unit-A. Heat recovery performance was evaluated by estimating total energy amount by using enthalpy difference between two measurement points together with mass flow rate of gas and/or air passing through each heat recovery unit depending on 5 different flow rates controlled by voltage meter. The results of this experimental study, such as heat exchange behavior of supply air pipes and exhaust air passages crossing the pipes, pressure drop between inlet and outlet, heat recovery performance of exchange unit, etc., will be used as fundamental data for designing optimum heat recovery device to be used for fuel saving purpose by reducing heat loss amounts mostly wasted outside of greenhouse through funnels.

  • A computer program, capable of performing thermal design analysis of the triple pressure bottoming system of combined cycle power plants, was developed. The program is based on thermal analysis of the heat recovery steam generator and estimation of its size and steam turbine power. The program is applicable to various parametric analyses including optimized design calculation. This paper presents examples of analysis results for the effects of arrangement of heat exchanger units, steam pressures and deaerating sources on design performance indices such as steam turbine power and the size of heat recovery steam generator.

  • Hydrogen separation from multi-component mixture gases by the four-bed PSA process was studied experimentally and theoretically using layered bed of activated carbon and zeolited 5A. Effects of the adsorption time, the linear velocity on the process performance were investigated. The adsorption time and linear velocity affected the purity and recovery of the product $H_2$ purity is increases according as the adsorption time and linear velocity decrease; however, $H_2$ recovery shows an opposite phenomena to the purity. PSA process simulation studied to find optimum operation condition. In the results, 50sec adsorption time, 3cm/s linear velocity might be optimal values to obtain more than 99.999% purity and 65% recovery hydrogen.

  • The four-bed PSA process using a layered bed of activated carbon and zeolite 5A was studied to produce a high purity hydrogen product from SMR off-gas. At a desired product purity (99.999%+), the recovery increased with decreasing the linear velocity. However, the difference of the increasing of the recovery became smaller with the decreasing of the linear velocity and then was similar from below the linear velocity 3.9 cm/s. When the adsorbents, the feed gas composition, and the operating conditions are given, the residence time is mainly a function for design of the PSA bed size. The minimum residence time exists to obtain the maximum recovery at desired product purity.

The Blood Pressure Response during Graded Exercise Test in Obese Adults

  • Obesity has been directly associated with the development of hypertension and cardiovascular disease. The purpose of this study was to investigate the blood pressure response during graded exercise test in obese adults. 189 subjects (age: $47.96{\pm}10.23$) were assigned to two groups: non-obese group (N=105, BMI: $22.05{\pm}1.57$, waist circumference: $76.90{\pm}6.17$) and obese group (N=84, BMI: $26.96{\pm}2.51$, waist circumference: $88.29{\pm}6.41$). The subjects underwent health screening and exercise treadmill test from January 2012 to December 2014. Graded exercise test was performed according to the Bruce protocol. Exercise duration (P=0.046) and METs (P=0.015) were significantly lower in obese group than non-obese group. There was no difference in the rate of change in blood pressure response between obese group and non-obese group during exercise, and the recovery rate of systolic blood pressure was delayed in the obese group compared to non-obese group in the first recovery period (P=0.020). The significant factors of increasing rate of change in maximum systolic blood pressure was waist (P=0.046) and hip circumference (P=0.008). In conclusion, these results demonstrate that, for hypertension prevention in obese adults, waist and hip circumference levels should be managed within normal range.

반응표면법을 이용한 램제트 엔진 흡입구 설계인자 최적화 (Optimal Shape of a Ramjet Intake by using a Response Surface Method)

  • 전압력 회복률을 극대화시키기 위하여 램제트 엔진 흡입구 최적형상이 수치적으로 조사되었다. 각 설계인자의 설계영역에 대해 성능을 근사적으로 예측하기 위하여 반응표면법을 도입하였다. 설계인자로는 첫 번째 램프각, 목직경, 그리고 디퓨져 확대각이 선택되었다. 얻어진 반응표면의 신뢰성 검증을 위해서 ANOVA가 사용되었다. 얻어진 최적모델의 전압력 회복률은 기준모델에 비해 36% 향상되었다. 또한 디퓨져에서의 점성손실은 5% 미만인 것으로 조사되었다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance characteristics of the counterflow exhaust heat recovery device for the applied gasoline engines. The EHRS device is installed behind the catalyst. This study investigates the engine warm-up characteristic, the exhaust noise characteristic, the back-pressure characteristic. The engine warm-up characteristics is (load 0%, load 10%, load 20%) in (idle, 1000rpm, 1500rpm, 2000rpm, 2500rpm) conditions by measuring the time it warmed up, coolant temperature ($25^{\circ}C{\sim}80^{\circ}C$) until the performance evaluation is performed. The wide open throttle and the coast down the exhaust noise and the back-pressure characteristic experiment repeated twice. The test conditions is 950rpm~6,050rpm proceed experiment repeated 3-5 times. Load 0% idle conditions except the results improved engine warm-up characteristics. The exhaust noise obtain similar results the BASE+EHRS W/O_FRT_MUFF with BASE and back-pressure to obtain similar results BASE+EHRS W/O_FRT_ MUFF with BASE+EHRS.

젖소에서 초음파기기를 이용한 난자 채취에 있어서 손가락 촉지를 이용한 난포란의 채란 (Study on Ovum Pick-up(OPU) with Finger-Sensibility using Oocyte Recovery in Holstein Heifers)

  • This study was conducted to develop an improved method for oocyte pick-up(OPU) with finger-sensibility using ultrasound-guidance from ovarian follicles in Holstein heifers. Oocytes were aspirated from ovarian follicles of clear-outline (>2mm), obscure-outline and invisible($\leq$ 2mm) on ultrasound images with 3 different vacuum pressure(40, 80, 120mmHg). Total number of oocytes recovered/follicles were 309/237(130.4%). 113/80(141.3%) and 107/74(144.6%) with 40, 80 and 120 mmHg of vacuum pressure, respectively. Mean number of oocytes recovered was higher in 2 OPU/week (18.3$\pm$5.3) than 1 OPU/week(14.5$\pm$4.1), but this difference was not statistical1y significant. The recovery rates were not affected by the number of OPU as 135.6%(282 oocytes/208 follicles) in 1~20 OPU, 137.7% (168/122) in 21~40 OPU and 148.4%(92/62) in 41~60 OPU, respectively. The proportions of good oocytes (Grades I) recovered were not significantly different by the number of OPU until 40 OPU(12.4% in 1~20 OPU vs 16.7% in 21~40 OPU). However, a significantly(P<0.05) lower recovery rate resulted from more than 40 OPU compared to less than 40 OPU(7.6%). These results imply that more fertilizable oocytes can be produced from invisible-immature follicles by transvaginal aspiration with finger-sensibility from Holstein heifers.
