As a foundational research for formulating a comprehensive operation plan for Ulsan Library, this study has been undertaken to develop directions for the future library services by performing surveys on the users and library staffs. Consequently, first, the users have demonstrated such a high demand for collaborative services, such as make possible variable library services using a single membership ID across the nation. Second, there is a significant difference in the awareness among the two groups in regards to the awareness of promotional methods for the facilitation of the use of public library in Ulsan. That is, while the staffs highly preferred the use of media such as newspaper, magazines, and radios, users demonstrated the converse and, instead, preferred field trip programs. Third, there seemed to be a certain level of agreement by and among the users and staffs in respect of the library's roles such as that of providing diverse education and programs on reading activities, and that of enabling diverse cultural activities such as arts and culture.
In order to attract consumers in the advertisement media and large discount marts, there needs to be a strong brandimage with a competitive and distinctive packing design. This study recognized the importance of packing designs and investigated consumers' preference for brands depending on packing designs of drinks in order to draw out consumers' positive attitudes toward the brand. The consumers feel that there are more fruit content in the drink that expresses its ingredients realistically than the drink that expresses its ingredients unrealistically on the packing design. The study also examined the consumers' preference for brands depending on their interests in well-being and the expression in the packing designs. In result, the difference was statistically significant. The study investigated the most preferred container for drinks was glass bottles and the most preferred orange juice was the fruit 100% content. Therefore, the expressions of ingredients of drinks and their interests in well-being were the difference in consumers' preference in brands and purchase intention. It had effects on the fruit content.

The purpose of this study is to investigate landscape image and define elements of difference in visual preference of bridges on the Han River. To do this end, video was used as a media for the evaluation of the landscape image of 16 bridges on the Han River using a Semantic Differential scale. Data is collected by 50 students from Woosuk University, majoring landscape architecture. Final analysis utilized a total of 704 samples of data. Data is analyzed through descriptive statistics, and spatial image is analyzed by factor analysis algorithm Principle component analysis using Varimax method is applied far extraction and factor rotation. T-test is used to find the difference between the bridge type of preference with the data of factor score. Logistic regression is used to select the factors that influences the visual preference among the image factors. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; The image of whole bridges on the Han River is somewhat orderly, sequential and open. The degree of visual preference of unique bridge type is higher than normal but there are some differences in visual preference within the same type of structure. This suggests that the surrounding landscape is one of the important factor for visual preference. Factors covering the image of bridge are found to be 'aesthetic', 'structure','spatial factor', and 'shape'. Total variance is obtained as 60.4%. The aesthetic variables are the most important factor for visual preference and the structural factor presents no significant difference in visual preference between more preferred and less preferred bridges. Since the collapse of Songsu Bridge, we thought the structural factor is very important but the results of this study suggest that it is more important to consider the aesthetic and spatial factors of the bridge to increase the visual preference when planning and designing bridges. Simulations with more detailed data about surroundings should be utilized practical design.
This study evaluated on the recognition and satisfaction for functional bakery products by consumers living in Seoul, Overall, 82.0% answered of the respondents reported that they had 'yes' which was 4.5 times as much as those who answered 'no' tried functional bakery products. Purchasing mostly depended on 'myself' (69.0%), and other methods of acquiring information as well as 'bakery' (10.8%), 'neighbour' (8.5%), 'media' (7.9%), and the 'internet' (3.7%). The preferred functional ingredients were 'sweet potato' with (22.9%), and 'rye and oat' (13.8%), 'green tea' (13.5%), 'pumpkin' (11.4%), and 'chestnut' (7.3%) were other preferred ingredients. The reasons for this preference were that they were 'healthy' by (47.1%) and had a 'good taste' by (36.6%). Evaluation of the recognition of functional bakery products revealed that, 'nutrition' had the highest scale of recognition of (3.80 out of 5), and followed by 'healthy' with (3.69 out of 5). Conversely, 'proper price' received a below average score of 2.97, indicating dissatisfaction. Moreover, the overall average satisfaction with functional bakery products was 3.37, and with the taste, nutrition, and quality receiving a highly satisfactory score of 3.52, and price receiving an unsatisfactory score of 3.00. The factors most important to improve functional bakery products were, 'variety' (37.6%) was most important, followed by 'increased nutrition' (21.2%) and 'lower price' needed to be improved as well. The factor that had the greatest influence on the decision to purchase functional bakery products was 'material' with (3.737) followed by 'name value' with (3.56).
This study investigated the demand of nutrition education programs among preschooler's parents. Focus group interview was conducted four times with 29 parents of preschool children. Most subjects appeared to have interest in nutrition education; 'very interested' (58.6%), 'somewhat interested' (20.7%). Sources of nutrition information were 'internet' (35.1%), 'books' (21.6%), 'newspaper or magazines' (13.5%), 'family or relatives' (13.5%), 'media' (8.1%), 'preschool' (5.4%) and 'hospital or public health center' (2.7%) in order. The most frequently mentioned health problems related to dietary behavior were atopy and obesity. Major concerns for children's dietary behavior was picky eating habits, and having questions for how to deal with this problem. Most subjects had trouble with obtaining an adequate amount of dietary supplements for their children. Nutrition education for parents about food labeling and information on processed foods was in demand. Preferred methods of nutrition education for children were playing games with stickers, gardening vegetables, and participating in cooking. Attitudes toward computer-assisted education materials, one of the methods of nutrition education, appeared to be ambivalent. Some preschool parents showed negative attitudes towards exposing their children to electronic devices at an early age, whereas others showed positive attitudes. Subjects were interested in meal-planning and ways to balance nutrients for their child. Parents preferred attending professional lectures to receive reading materials or searching websites as an adult nutrition education method. Results of this study have implications on providing basic information for developing nutrition education programs for preschoolers and their parents. Future research should focus on developing nutrition education programs for both preschools and the home.
In order to produce the variety of UCC, the recommendation service is required which considers the copyright of UCC producer discriminated from one for UCC consumers and the purpose of its production. The recommender system designed in this thesis enables UCC which is much similar to one UCC producer utilizes to be used with custom-made when recommending and producing based on UCC view history and production list, etc. of its producer. The recommender system is largely divided into filtering based on the preferred tag, UCC filtering used when producing the preferred UCC and creating process of recommended UCC using the Pearson formula. The recommender system in this thesis requires the data which were used when producing UCC. For that, we added the reference factor so that the data of UCC which were utilized when producing UCC into the existing metadata can be recorded. If the recommender system suggested in this thesis is used, the more effective and convenient UCC recommendation services with custom-made for producers can be provided.
The purpose of this study was to compare clothing values and clothing purchasing behaviors between Korean and American college students, especially men. Also this study was to analyze the clothing values effect on the clothing purchasing behavior. For the practical study, 200 questionaries were surveyed, 110 from Korea and 105 from American. The average and frequency, t-test, $\chi^2$, multi-variate analysis of variance and factor analysis were used for this study. The result showed, first, there were little differences in the clothing value aspect. Both Korean college men and American college men considered the theoretical value to be most important, however, the American college men were higher than the Korean college men for theoretical, economic and political values. Compared to the Americans, the Koreans considered social clothing value to be more important but theoretical, economic and political values were less important. Second, there were some differences in most of all the clothing purchasing behaviors. There were slight differences in the reasons for the purchases between Korean and American college men. Both of them said that they purchase clothes to satisfy their needs. Regarding the information sources for the purchase, The Korean college men were slightly higher than the American college men for the media information sources and lower than them for the human information sources. Regarding the place where the clothes were purchased, the Korean college men preferred to make purchases at department stores, and the American college men preferred shopping malls. Regarding the monthly expenses for clothing, less than 50,000 won($50) was the average for most of the Korean women, but most of the American college women spent 100,000~150,000 won($150) per month. Third, the clothing value was different in the reason for purchasing, the purchasing information source, the purchasing place, and the monthly expenses for the clothing.

It has been shown that in the modern society, teenagers do not read a lot of books. As basic research in order to attract teenagers to reading activities, the effectiveness of booktrailers in affecting reading motivation of teenagers has been studied. As such, 121 middle school and high school students were surveyed with respect to their (1) basic awareness of reading and booktrailers, (2) awareness thereof after watching booktrailers, and (3) reader behaviour reaction applied to AIDMA & AISAS sub-elements. Results show booktrailers to be much more effective in reading motivation than printed media such as book reviews. The preferred booktrailer type is the storyline type. The preferred elements of booktrailers are the storyline, background music, video effects, with their preference in descending order. Also, in terms of the reader behaviour reaction of the teenagers, very positive responses appear across all areas including attention and interest in the book, memories of the book, desire to read the book, search for information, and production of booktrailers. These results indicate that booktrailers can be utilized very effectively in providing reading motivation and in reading expression activities.
Purpose: With the development of media, the ways adolescents can obtain information related to sexual health have diversified. Prior quantitative research on adolescents' sexual health information seeking behaviors (HISB) has limitations in grasping the details, and sexual issues of adolescents have tended to be underreported in quantitative studies. It is necessary to explore sexual HISB through an integrative review of qualitative research. The aim of the study was to analyze the literature on sexual HISB among adolescents, focusing on qualitative research. Methods: An integrative review was undertaken to explore the studies conducted between 2009 and 2018 that addressed sexual HISB such as source preferences, perceived trustworthiness, and tendency according to age and gender among adolescents. Results: Seven studies met the selection criteria and were analyzed according different sexual HISB. It was identified that adolescents preferred trustworthy sources and had a pattern of reviewing and comparing the content among diverse sources to confirm the quality of the information. Female adolescents valued privacy and confidentiality, while male adolescents would like to earn information along with their peers and perceived it as an opportunity to exchange their experiences and thoughts. Late adolescents preferred to seek sexual health information from peers and on the internet such as websites and social platforms compared to early adolescents. Conclusion: This study is significant in that it provides evidence that can be applied when developing programs for promoting sexual health in adolescents. It is suggested that programs should focus on building trustworthiness and consider differences in age and gender to improve the use of sexual health information among adolescents.
This study was carried out to analyze trends in floral products and services through the big data analysis of various social networking services (SNSs) and then to provide objective marketing directions for the floricultural industry. To analyze the big data of SNSs, we used four analytical methods: Cotton Trend (Social Matrix), Naver Big Data Lab, Instagram Big Data Analysis, and YouTube Big Data Analysis. The results of the big data analysis showed that SNS users paid positive attention to flower one-day classes that can satisfy their needs for direct experiences. Consumers of floral products and services had their favorite designs in mind and purchased floral products very actively. The demand for flower items such as bouquets, wreaths, flower baskets, large bouquets, orchids, flower boxes, wedding bouquets, and potted plants was very high, and cut flowers such as roses, tulips, and freesia were most popular as of June 1, 2019. By gender of consumers, females (68%) purchased more flower products through SNSs than males (32%). Consumers preferred mobile devices (90%) for online access compared to personal computers (PCs; 10%) and frequently searched flower-related words from February to May for the past three years from 2016 to 2018. In the aspect of design, they preferred natural style to formal style. In conclusion, future marketing activities in the floricultural industry need to be focused on social networks based on the results of big data analysis of popular SNSs. Florists need to provide consumers with the floricultural products and services that meet the trends and to blend them with their own sensitivity. It is also needed to select SNS media suitable for each gender and age group and to apply effective marketing methods to each target.
