Recently, life cycle and lead-time of products have been shortened with the demand of customers. Therefore, it is important to reduce time and cost at the stage of manufacturing trial molds. In order to realize a three-dimensional shape on CAD, the machining process has been widely used because it offers practical advantages such as precision and versatility. However, the traditional machining process needs a large amount of time in cutting a product and the remained material causes trouble such as inconvenience for clarity. In this work, a new rapid manufacturing process using the hot tool, Rapid Heat Ablation process, has been developed to overcome such limitations. While the hot tool moves the predetermined path, the heat of the tool decomposes the remained material. The radius of heat affect ed zone related to process parameters was investigated through experiments to improve the quality of ablated parts. In order to examine the applicability of the proposed process, three-dimensional shapes such as hemisphere and standard test part, wereablatedutilizingtheapparatus.
This study explores the feasibility of activating private health insurance in Korea. The rationale for expanding private supplementary health insurance can be found in many cases of health care reforms in the European countries. Private health insurance can not only relieve the financial distress of the government health insurance programs but also offer the medical institutions incentives to improve the quality of medical care. In Korea there is no supplementary health insurance that reimburses for various kinds of diseases based on a well designed fee schedule. Recently, the cancer insurance is the best seller in the health related insurance market. As observed in the U. S. case, the cancer insurance which pays the predetermined amount (indemnity coverage) regardless of the medical charges incurred to the patient is limited in its coverage for the insured. To provide better protection against catastrophic diseases, the government should give insurance companies incentives to develop health insurance products that cover multiple diseases rather than a single disease. Consumers can hardly understand and compare complex insurance products. To resolve the information asymmetries, the government should publish a consumer report that compare various health insurance products in a user friendly way. In the long run, insurance companies will plan to sell health insurance products that charge risk related premium only when insurers accumulate the underwriting know-hows, the government shares data on various health statistics including claims and demographics, and risk pool for high risk patients is well established and subsidized by the government.

The number of people who own indoor plants is growing today, but as a result of their busy lifestyles-such as work or travel-as well as a lack of enthusiasm in caring for their plants, their plants wither. The use of an irrigation control system with a surveillance camera can assist such folks in taking care of their plants. Such a device can assist in remotely watering plants at predetermined times and checking on the health of the plants. The proprietors would be able to live comfortably without feeling bad thanks to this change. Internet access is required for this technology in order to monitor the plants and control the watering through apps. A sensor is installed in the soil to monitor soil humidity and send data to the microcontroller for irrigation, allowing the owner to schedule irrigation as they see fit and keep an eye on their plants all day. With the use of a remote irrigation control system, the plants will grow properly and be irrigated with the proper amount of water, and the owners will be so glad and delighted to watch their plants. Knowing the time and quantity of water are vital parts of the plant growth.
This study analyzed for the radioactive shielding wall, which shields the medical linear accelerator. This allows to evaluate the level of waste with respect to the shield wall, which accounts for more than half of the cost of dismantling later linac facility. In addition, by analyzing the waste processing method according we discuss the way to obtain the benefits in terms of dismantling cost. Results of the simulate, the amount sufficient to screen the amount of neutron radiation occurring in the shielding wall linac was measured. And neutron activation analysis results were analyzed nuclides more than about 20. This analysis was in excess of that, $^{24}Na$, $^{45}Ca$, $^{59}Fe$ nucleus paper deregulation concentration. The value is reduced is greater the deeper the depth of the shielding wall concentration. Based on this, three specific areas (E, F, G) was estimated to be impossible to landfill or recycling. The rest area was estimated to be buried or recycled if possible more than a predetermined depth.

In this paper, we propose a distributed user scheduling with transmit power control based on the amount of interference inflicted to other BSs in multi-cell uplink networks. Assuming that the channel reciprocity time-division duplexing(TDD) system is used, the channel state information (CSI) can be obtained at each user from pilot signals from other BSs. The amount of generating interference to other BSs will be calculated at each user. Especially, in this paper, we propose the threshold-based transmit power control, in which a user decrease its transmit power if its generating interference to other BSs is larger than a predetermined threshold. Simulation results show that the proposed technique significantly outperforms the existing user scheduling algorithms.
Object : This study was designed to evaluate the effects of olanzapine on the schedule-induced polydipsia(SIP) which is one of animal model of obsessive-compulsive disorder in rats. We administered olanzapine as a serotonin and dopamine blocking agent, fluoxetine as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, and haloperidol for the dopamine antagonist to rats which showed schedule-induced polydipsic behavior. Methods : Spraque-Dawley rats weighing 200-250gm were individually housed and maintained and allowed free access to water. The rats were placed on a restricted diet. To induce polydipsia, rats were placed in the cage where a pellet dispenser automatically dispensed 90mg pellets on a fixed-time 60 seconds(FT-60s) feeding schedule over 150 minute test session per day. Water was available at all times in the cage. After 4 weeks of daily exposure to the FT 60s feeding schedule, experimental rats met a predetermined criterion for polydipsic behavior(greater than 3 times of water per session on average). 5 groups of rats were administered olanzapine(3mg/kg, i.p), olanzapine(10mg/kg, i.p), fluoxetine(5mg/kg, i.p.), haloperidol(0.1mg/kg, i.p.), and vehicle(1cc/kg, i.p.) for 3 weeks. The rats were tested once a week to access schedule induced polydipsic behavior. Water bottles were weighed before and after the 150-minute test session. The chronic effects of administration of experimental drugs on schedule induced polydipsic behavior were analyzed with ANOVA and Scheffe test as a posthoc comparison. In order to measure water consumption in non-polydipsic food-deprived rats, a separate group of rats(N=8) were individually housed and given a single bolus(14.5gm) of food per day which maintained them at their average body weight. Results and Conclusion : The results were as follows ; 1) After 4 weeks of scheduled feeding procedure, the experimental group showed significant differences than the bolus control in the amount of water consumption as compared with their average water intakes for 4 weeks. At the same periods, there were no differences between the experimental group and the bolus control in the body weight. 2) The fluoxetine group showed significant decrease in the amount of water intake over the 3 weeks of drug treatment as compared with their average amount of polydipsic water intakes. The olanzapine 3mg group showed significant decrease in the amount of water intake at 3rd weeks of drug treatment as compared with their average amount of polydipsic water intakes. The olanzapine 10mg group showed significant decrease in the amount of water intake at 2nd and 3rd weeks of drug treatment as compared with their average amount of polydipsic water intakes. However, the haloperidol group and the vehicle control group showed no changes of amounts of water intake for 3 weeks of treatment as compared with their average amount of polydipsic water intakes. 3) The fluoxetine group showed significantly lower amounts of water intake than the haloperidol group at 2nd weeks of drug treatment. And also the fluoxetine group showed significantly lower amounts of water intake than the haloperidol group and the vehicle control at 3rd weeks of drug treatment. The olanzapine 3mg group and the olanzapine 10mg group showed significantly lower amounts of water intake than the haloperidol group and the vehicle control at 3rd weeks of drug treatment. Above findings suggest that the fixed time feeding procedure for schedule-induced polydipsia as an animal model of obsessive compulsive disorder was effective to the evaluation of pharmacological challenge study. The authors assume that the serotonin hypothesis and the serotonin-dopamine interaction hypothesis are preferred to the dopamine hypothesis in the biological etiology of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

A reactive piloting policy for Flexible Assembly Lines (FAL) is proposed, where the sequencing of the operations as well as the assignment of tasks to manipulators are not predetermined but driven by the actual state of the FAL For all work-in-process coming from a manipulator, the next destination is determined by minimizing a temporal criterion taking into account the time needed to reach the destination, the load of the manipulator to reach, the durati on of the operation to be completed in the destination manipulator, and the availability of product components in this manipulator. The purpose of proposed piloting policy is to manufacture a given quantity of products as rapidly as possible by balancing the amount of work allocated to manipulators and to reduce the efforts required for scheduling the production of short series of diversified products. After introducing the characteristics of assembly processes and FAL modelization, the proposed algorithm is evaluated by simulations. The simulations of the proposed algorithm showed satisfactory results.

The design theory and experimental results of a true random noise radar system are presented in this paper. Target range information can be extracted precisely by correlation processing between the delayed reference and the signal received from a target, and the velocity information by the Doppler processing with successive correlation data. A K-band noise radar system was designed using random FM noise signal, and the characteristics of the fabricated system were examined with laboratory and outdoor experiments. A C-band random FM noise signal was generated by applying a low-frequency white Gaussian noise source to VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), and a K-band Tx noise signal with 100 MHz bandwidth was obtained by using a following frequency multiplier. Two modified wave-guide horn arrays were designed and fabricated, and used for the Tx and Rx antennas. The required amount of Tx/Rx isolation was attained by using a coupling cancellation circuit as well as keeping them apart with predetermined spacing. A double down-conversion scheme was used in the Rx and reference channels, respectively, for easy post processing such as correlation and Doppler processing. The implemented noise radar performance was examined with a moving bicycle and a very high-speed target with a velocity of 150 m/s. The results extracted by the Matlab simulation using the logging data were found to be in a reasonable agreement with the expected results.
Studies on the resistance of Lactobacillus ssp., Bifidobacterium spp. and Bacillus coagulans to hydrogen peroxide were conducted by determination of the viable cells after the test cells in 2mM hydrogen peroxide solution for a predetermined time; L. acidophilus CU4111 and L. casei CU4114 were most resistant to the hydrogen peroxide among the fifteen test lactobacilli strains, whereas L. brevis Cu4206 was the strain which was the most susceptible to hydrogen peroxide. Bifidobacterium longum Cu4131 was one of the resistant strains. A prominant tendency found out that Bacillus coagulans possessed a strong resistance to hydrogen peroxide. The results of level of hydrogen peroxide determination in the cell extracts showed all the test strains contained hydrogen peroxide in the cytoplasm, the amount varied depending on the strain and species of lactic acid bacteria. Bifidobacterium bifidum CU 4134 and L. casei CU 4114 were potent hydrogen peroxide producer strain.

However, the traditional machining process needs a large amount of time in cutting a product and the remained material causes trouble such as inconvenience for clarity. Therefore, a new rapid manufacturing process using the hot tool, Rapid Heat Ablation process (RHA), has been developed. In this paper, the hot tool for RHA process is devised to minimize radius of heat affected zone and also investigated for verification. TRIZ well-known as creative problem solving method is applied to overcome the contradictive requirements of the hot tool. For the detailed design of the hot tool, numerical model is established with several assumptions. Based on the numerical results, surface temperature is measured with K-type thermocouple at the predetermined location. Numerical and experimental results show that the devised hot tool fulfils its requirements. It verifies the practicality of hot tool that the hemisphere shape is ablated using the hot tool with stair structure.
