This study was for understanding about the current situation of internal nursing research related to empowerment and for suggesting the direction the research on empowerment should improve. 17 nursing research articles between 1991 and 2001 were analyzed and their analysis results showed that the research on empowerment tends increasing in number. Looking at study methods, survery and research had a majority of researchs and the target of research was mainly nurses. Empowerment concept is a process that it helps to be able to assert the control about factors which influence on human life. This process suggested the precondition and result on empowerment in view of nursing that it includes broader systematic, structural and social responsibility in making individual taking responsibility on his health in management. Empowerment is to enhance the power and its basic starts from his own empowerment. The contents of his own empowerment is to improve his own ability(including spiritual, physical, and social ability), to connote also his own confidence enhancement which looks at himself as positive and strong, and to run after the his internal repletion through strengthening of his positive aspect. Based on above his own empowerment, the empowerment that builds the capability of group or organization is eventually to strengthen the spirit of individual and organization. Finally, this concept means that it can have an usefulness about nursing practice, education, administration and research. With the foundation of this research analysis, although the research on empowerment is largely limited to nurse, in future this should be applied to various nursing targets. In addition, the research on diverse applying methods including program develoment which bases on this concept should be made.

Soldiers management is the core of military combat power to preserve and accident prevention. But in unforeseen times and places did the unthinkable soldier causes an accident, the inexperienced primary officer were upset, and can often be quite nervous. And various accidents prevention is also win the war, the reason for existence in the military for combat readiness as a precondition for perfection. There are primary officers at the forefront of this critical mission. However, in spite of the lack of time to work for combat readiness, orders from higher units of troops management and that's level giving a lot of pressure to primary officer. So I made the primary officer military counseling model ike this. Using Primary officer counseling model is possible to rapid and efficient counseling advice against the target client soldier. The efficient counseling is must take precedence on understanding on client soldier deeply. Depth understanding someone needs a lot of effort and time. However, to Primary officer, it is true that they have a lack of condition that are enough to give the time and effort. Therefore, effective counseling and accident prevention is possible to use counseling model through choice and concentration activities.

Self-defense is defined as 'an act which is performed in order to prevent impending and unjust infringement of one's own or another person's legal interest'(Article 21, the Criminal Act). To establish such a self-defense, it is generally suggested that it requires an intent for defense as subjective element as well as objective precondition of impending and unjust infringement of one's own or another person's legal interest' and considerable reason. Intent for defense which means an awareness for objective circumstance of self-defense is recognized as objective justification element for self-defense. With regard to intent for defense, there are various discussions on not only necessity of such an intent for defense but whether it is necessary for both actor's recognition of circumstance and specific purpose or motive and which should be applied for its punishment in case of lack of the intent for defense: consummated, unconsummated or semi-consummated. However, there is no clear regulations. This article reviews the contents of intent for defense based on opinion that it is necessary for intent for defense and then examines contents on criminal effect in case of lack of intent and intent for defense in case of criminal negligence.

The lens distortion in the machine vision system is inevitable phenomenon. Distortion is getting worse, due to the selection of lens in the trend of reducing prices and size of the system. In this trend, the distortion correction becomes more important. But, the traditional correction methods has problems, such as complexity and requiring more operations. Effective distorted digital image correction is the precondition of target detection and recognition based on vision inspection. To overcome the disadvantage of traditional distortion correction algorithms, such as complex modeling, massive computation and marginal information loss, an image distortion correction algorithm based on photogrammetry method is proposed in this paper. In our method, we use the lattice image as the measurement target. Through the experimental results, we could find that we can reduce the processing time by 4ms. And also the inspection failure rate of our method was reduced by 2.3% than human-eyes inspection method.

The present education situations are rapidly changing to adapt to 'the Knowledge & Information-based Society'. Especially, the implementation of 'the 7th National Curriculum' put strong emphasis on the learner-centered education that refers to the ability grouping. Therefore, it is necessary that the change from a traditional teaching method to a learner-centered one in geography education will take place. This study will present a design of geography ability grouping through the Task-Solving Learning. This ability grouping method is suitable for the large class. And this study also presents a strategy by applying WBI, which make use of the advantage of computer and constructivism. This WBI model can be applied properly to many teaching-learning methods that includes Self-Directed Learning, Collaborate Learning, Ability Grouping, and Applying ICT Instruction. Actually they are demanded in the current education. A geography-classroom will have an accessible internet program as a precondition for this instruction.

Objectives: The aim of the present investigation was to determine whether the finger photoplethysmographic waveform of a healthy young man will become analogous to those of healthy old men when the photoplethysmographic harmonic components in the young man decrease. Methods and Results: The finger photoplethysgmoraphy was measured in 21 old men over the age of 60 years and a young men. We acquired the representative pulse waveform of old man by averaging the finger photoplethysmographic waveforms measured in the old men. after the photoplethysmographic harmonic components in the young man were diminished with notch filtering, we compared the representative pulse waveform of old man and the pulse waveforms of which the harmonic components decreased in the young man. The finger photoplethysmographic waveform of the young man became analogous to those of the old men as the photoplethysmographic harmonic components in the young man were diminished with notch filtering. Conclusions: Decrease of the second harmonic component may be a precondition of typical age-related change of the pulse waveform.

The effects of the U-Police Service is expected to go much beyond present police service. Scientific police service using the UIT will enable the police to confront rapidly to the crimes which has been in the blind spot of law enforcement in the result of insufficient police forces and maintenance of law and order by putting police manpower first. Cetizens' feeling of safety from crimes is also expected to be much improved and this will bring about noticeabe effect on crime prevention by suppressing the crime impulse in advance. This thesis have come up with various research results by interviewing police officers and citizen of the City of Seoul under the circumstances that there has been no positive and analytical studies on the areas that the UIT could apply to or the possibility of utilizing the UIT. As we apply the UIT to the police service, how we solve the problem occurring by adopting the UIT and how much we can protect private information is much more important than what kind of service we can provide. Especially, embodiment of U-Police service is a necessary precondition for constructing ubiquitous city in near future. Following studies to draw relevant research results by expanding the objects of the study are much needed including the study on the measurement of efficiency of U-Police service in each service sectors which the UIT applies to.

A new simple method to estimate the earth quantity which is basic data for making the plan of mountain forest road is tried to develop as one of ways to reduce time cost of plan making. The zero-line surveying method, the concept of 2/3 road width in cut-away part and of same quantity between cut-away and fill-up earth which are the backgrounds to develop this method is introduced and explaned also it's theoritical propriety. Under the precondition which have to apply above concepts for constructing the mountain forest road the exchange table for estimating the earth quantity is made like table 3 and 4 through being calculated by a trigonometric function. Table 3 can be used to estimate the earth quantity on the cut-away road-width according to slope of terrain and different road-width, and table 4 can be applied to calculate the quantity of cut-away earth when to know the road-width of cut-away. When using these tables the performance of field surveying and office work for road plan will be highly increased.

Background: Angiogenesis has been recognized an essential precondition for osteogenesis. Because reduction and disruption of the blood supply to tissue cause tissue hypoxia, pathological bone loss affected by hypoxia often can occur in various clinical conditions. The effects of propofol on the process of osteogenesis have received little direct attention. Therefore, we investigated the effect of propofol on the growth and function of osteoblasts under hypoxic condition. Methods: After propofol (3, 30, $300{\mu}M$) preconditioning for 2 hours, hFOB 1.19 human osteoblast cells were cultured under 1 % oxygen tension for 48 hours. Using real time PCR and western blot analysis, we analyzed the expression of, BMP-2, TGF-${\beta}1$, type I collagen, osteocalcin, HIF-1s and Akt. Cell viability was also determined by MTT assay. Results: Propofol preconditioning on hypoxic-cultured osteoblast promoted the expressions of BMP-2, TGF-${\beta}1$, type I collagen and osteocalcin and induced hypoxia-mediated HIF-1 activation and the expression of Akt protein. Propofol with $300{\mu}M$ significant decreased cell viability compared to control. Conclusions: Clinically relevant concentrations of propofol are not cytotoxic to hypoxic osteoblasts in vitro. Propofol preconditioning on hypoxic-cultured osteoblast stimulates proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast through induced expression of BMP-2, TGF-${\beta}1$, type I collagen and osteocalcin. Propofol might promote angiogenesis and bone regeneration under hypoxic condition.

This Study analysis two features of social citizenship in the period of rights revolution. Discousive arguments are derived from different reinterpretations of social citizenship of Marshall. Some insist that main idea of welfare state is rights of social citizenship and the other insist that social rights is realized after doing duty. Especially the latter emphasis work obligation in which individual responsibility and duty, these discussion underlie wokrfare policy. This reserch examine two contrary discourses based on Marshall's theory, and make a close inquiry into correct interpretation about Marshall. New rights, the Conservative party and New Labour seek for ground on Marshall's citizenship theory, but these are distortion on it. Marshall insisted that citizenship constituted rights and duties but he claimed that discharge of a duty isn't precondition of the exercise of the right.
