In the post-COVID era, the importance of quarantine measures is greatly emphasized, and accordingly, research related to the detection of mask wearing conditions and prevention of other infectious diseases using deep learning is being conducted. However, research on the detection and tracking of visitors to cultural facilities to prevent the spread of diseases is equally important, so research on this should be conducted. In this paper, a convolutional neural network-based object detection model is trained through transfer learning using a pre-collected dataset. The weights of the trained detection model are then applied to a multi-object tracking model to monitor visitors. The visitor detection model demonstrates results with a precision of 96.3%, recall of 85.2%, and an F1-score of 90.4%. Quantitative results of the tracking model include a MOTA (Multiple Object Tracking Accuracy) of 65.6%, IDF1 (ID F1 Score) of 68.3%, and HOTA (Higher Order Tracking Accuracy) of 57.2%. Furthermore, a qualitative comparison with other multi-object tracking models showcased superior results for the model proposed in this paper. The research of this paper can be applied to the hygiene systems within cultural facilities in the post-COVID era.

It is very time-intensive to obtain data with labels on anomaly detection tasks for multivariate time series. Therefore, several studies have been conducted on unsupervised learning that does not require any labels. However, a well-done integrative survey has not been conducted on in-depth discussion of learning architecture and property for multivariate time series anomaly detection. This study aims to explore the characteristic of well-known architectures in anomaly detection of multivariate time series. Additionally, architecture was categorized by using top-down and bottom-up approaches. In order toconsider real-world anomaly detection situation, we trained models with dataset such as power grids or Cyber Physical Systems that contains realistic anomalies. From experimental results, we compared and analyzed the comprehensive performance of each architecture. Quantitative performance were measured using precision, recall, and F1 scores.

In this paper, the actual data of VOC reduction facilities was analyzed through a model that detects and predicts data anomalies. Using the USAD model, which shows stable performance in the field of anomaly detection, anomalies in real-time data are detected and sensors that cause anomalies are searched. In addition, we propose a method of predicting and warning, when abnormalities that time will occur by predicting future outliers with an auto-regressive model. The experiment was conducted with the actual data of the VOC reduction facility, and the anomaly detection test results showed high detection rates with precision, recall, and F1-score of 98.54%, 89.08%, and 93.57%, respectively. As a result, averaging of the precision, recall, and F1-score for 8 sensors of detection rates were 99.64%, 99.37%, and 99.63%. In addition, the Hamming loss obtained to confirm the validity of the detection experiment for each sensor was 0.0058, showing stable performance. And the abnormal prediction test result showed stable performance with an average absolute error of 0.0902.

Malwares are becoming a major problem nowadays all around the world in android operating systems. The malware is a piece of software developed for harming or exploiting certain other hardware as well as software. The term Malware is also known as malicious software which is utilized to define Trojans, viruses, as well as other kinds of spyware. There have been developed many kinds of techniques for protecting the android operating systems from malware during the last decade. However, the existing techniques have numerous drawbacks such as accuracy to detect the type of malware in real-time in a quick manner for protecting the android operating systems. In this article, the authors developed a hybrid model for android malware detection using a decision tree and KNN (k-nearest neighbours) technique. First, Dalvik opcode, as well as real opcode, was pulled out by using the reverse procedure of the android software. Secondly, eigenvectors of sampling were produced by utilizing the n-gram model. Our suggested hybrid model efficiently combines KNN along with the decision tree for effective detection of the android malware in real-time. The outcome of the proposed scheme illustrates that the proposed hybrid model is better in terms of the accurate detection of any kind of malware from the Android operating system in a fast and accurate manner. In this experiment, 815 sample size was selected for the normal samples and the 3268-sample size was selected for the malicious samples. Our proposed hybrid model provides pragmatic values of the parameters namely precision, ACC along with the Recall, and F1 such as 0.93, 0.98, 0.96, and 0.99 along with 0.94, 0.99, 0.93, and 0.99 respectively. In the future, there are vital possibilities to carry out more research in this field to develop new methods for Android malware detection.

Estimation of heading date of paddy rice is laborious and time consuming. Therefore, automatic estimation of heading date of paddy rice is highly essential. In this experiment, deep learning classification models were used to classify two difference categories of rice (vegetative and reproductive stage) based on the panicle initiation of paddy field. Specifically, the dataset includes 444 slanted view images belonging to two categories and was then expanded to include 1,497 images via IMGAUG data augmentation technique. We adopt two transfer learning strategies: (First, used transferring model weights already trained on ImageNet to six classification network models: VGGNet, ResNet, DenseNet, InceptionV3, Xception and MobileNet, Second, fine-tuned some layers of the network according to our dataset). After training the CNN model, we used several evaluation metrics commonly used for classification tasks, including Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-score. In addition, GradCAM was used to generate visual explanations for each image patch. Experimental results showed that the InceptionV3 is the best performing model in terms of the accuracy, average recall, precision, and F1-score. The fine-tuned InceptionV3 model achieved an overall classification accuracy of 0.95 with a high F1-score of 0.95. Our CNN model also represented the change of rice heading date under different date of transplanting. This study demonstrated that image based deep learning model can reliably be used as an automatic monitoring system to detect the heading date of rice crops using CCTV camera.

Generative AI has recently been utilized across all fields, achieving expert-level advancements in deep data analysis. However, identifying regional names in scientific literature remains a challenge due to insufficient training data and limited AI application. This study developed a standardized dataset for effectively classifying regional names using address data from Korean institution-affiliated authors listed in the Web of Science. It tested and evaluated the applicability of machine learning and deep learning models in real-world problems. The BERT model showed superior performance, with a precision of 98.41%, recall of 98.2%, and F1 score of 98.31% for metropolitan areas, and a precision of 91.79%, recall of 88.32%, and F1 score of 89.54% for city classifications. These findings offer a valuable data foundation for future research on regional R&D status, researcher mobility, collaboration status, and so on.

This paper proposes a novel approach to enhance the security of container-based systems by analyzing system calls to dynamically detect race conditions without modifying the kernel. Container escape attacks allow attackers to break out of a container's isolation and access other systems, utilizing vulnerabilities such as race conditions that can occur in parallel computing environments. To effectively detect and defend against such attacks, this study utilizes eBPF to observe system call patterns during attack attempts and employs a AdaBoost model to detect them. For this purpose, system calls invoked during the attacks such as Dirty COW and Dirty Cred from popular applications such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis, were used as training data. The experimental results show that this method achieved a precision of 99.55%, a recall of 99.68%, and an F1-score of 99.62%, with the system overhead of 8%.
The prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its cost are increasing due to lifestyle changes and aging. This study aimed to develop a deep neural network model for prediction and classification of MetS according to nutrient intake and other MetS-related factors. This study included 17,848 individuals aged 40-69 years from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2013-2018). We set MetS (3-5 risk factors present) as the dependent variable and 52 MetS-related factors and nutrient intake variables as independent variables in a regression analysis. The analysis compared and analyzed model accuracy, precision and recall by conventional logistic regression, machine learning-based logistic regression and deep learning. The accuracy of train data was 81.2089, and the accuracy of test data was 81.1485 in a MetS classification and prediction model developed in this study. These accuracies were higher than those obtained by conventional logistic regression or machine learning-based logistic regression. Precision, recall, and F1-score also showed the high accuracy in the deep learning model. Blood alanine aminotransferase (β = 12.2035) level showed the highest regression coefficient followed by blood aspartate aminotransferase (β = 11.771) level, waist circumference (β = 10.8555), body mass index (β = 10.3842), and blood glycated hemoglobin (β = 10.1802) level. Fats (cholesterol [β = -2.0545] and saturated fatty acid [β = -2.0483]) showed high regression coefficients among nutrient intakes. The deep learning model for classification and prediction on MetS showed a higher accuracy than conventional logistic regression or machine learning-based logistic regression.
The worldwide aging population trend is causing an increase in the incidence of major retinal diseases that can lead to blindness, including glaucoma, cataract, and macular degeneration. In the field of ophthalmology, there is a focused interest in diagnosing diseases that are difficult to prevent in order to reduce the rate of blindness. This study proposes a deep learning approach to accurately diagnose ocular diseases in fundus photographs using less data than traditional methods. For this, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models capable of effective learning with limited data were selected to classify Conventional Fundus Images (CFI) from various ocular disease patients. The chosen CNN models demonstrated exceptional performance, achieving high Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-score values. This approach reduces manual analysis by ophthalmologists, shortens consultation times, and provides consistent diagnostic results, making it an efficient and accurate diagnostic tool in the medical field.
Most of those studies use frequency, the number of times a pattern appears in a transaction database, as the key measure for pattern interestingness. It prerequisites that any interesting pattern should occupy a maximum portion of the transactions it appears. But in our real world scenarios the completeness of any pattern is more likely to become various in transactions. Hence, we should also consider the problem of finding the qualified patterns with the significant values of the weighted support by completeness in order to reduce the loss of information within any pattern in transaction. In these pattern recommendation applications, patterns with higher completeness may lead to higher recall while patterns with higher completeness may lead to higher recall while patterns with higher frequency lead to higher precision. In this paper, we propose a measure of weighted support and completeness and an algorithm WSCFPM(weigted support and completeness frequent pattern mining). Our algorithm handles the invalidation of the monotone or anti-monotone property which does not hold on completeness. Extensive performance analysis show that our algorithm is very efficient and scalable for word pattern mining.
