자동 광섬유 정렬 장치의 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Development of Automatic Optical Fiber Aligner)

  • Optical fiber is indispensable for optical communication systems that transmit large volumes of data at high speed, but super precision technology in sub-micron units is required for optical axis adjustment. We developed the automatic optical fiber by image processing and automatic loading system. we have developed 6-axis micro stage system for I/O optical fiber arrays, the initial automatic aligning system software for a input optical array by the image processing technique, fast I/O-synchronous aligning strategy, the automatic loading/unloading system and the automatic UV bonding mechanism. In order to adjust the alignment it used on PC based motion controller, a $10{\mu}m$ repeat-detailed drawing of automatic loading system is developed by a primary line up for high detailed drawing. Also, at this researches used the image processing system and algorithm instead of the existing a primary hand-line up and fiber input array and waveguide chip formed in line by automatic.

신경망을 이용한 차선과 장애물 인식에 관한 연구 (Lane and Obstacle Recognition Using Artificial Neural Network)

  • In this paper, an algorithm is presented to recognize lane and obstacles based on highway road image. The road images obtained by a video camera undergoes a pre-processing that includes filtering, edge detection, and identification of lanes. After this pre-processing, a part of image is grouped into 27 sub-windows and fed into a three-layer feed-forward neural network. The neural network is trained to indicate the road direction and the presence of absence of an obstacle. The proposed algorithm has been tested with the images different from the training images, and demonstrated its efficacy for recognizing lane and obstacles. Based on the test results, it can be said that the algorithm successfully combines the traditional image processing and the neural network principles towards a simpler and more efficient driver warning of assistance system

다인공구의 파손검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fracture Detection of Multi-Point-Tool)

  • In modern industry the requirement of automation of manufacturing process increases so that unmanned system has been popular as an ultimate goal of modern manufacturing process. In unmanned manufacturing process the tool fracture is a very serious problem because it results in the damage of workpieces and can stop the operation of whole manufa- turing system. In this study, image processing technique is used to detect the fracture of insert tip of face milling using multi-point-tool. In order to acquire the image information of fracture shape of rotation insert tip. We set up the optical system using a light beam chopper. In this system we can reduce the image degradation generated from stopped image of rotating insert tip using image restoration technique. We calculated the mean square error to diagnose the condition of tool fracture, and determind the criteria of tool fracture using experimental and staticstical method. From the results of this study we've developed non- contact detection technique of tool fracture using image processing method and proposed the fracture direction of automation and unmanned system considering the optimal time of tool change milling.

  • This paper proposes a profilometry system for precise surface contouring of 3D objects using a direc- tionally magnified image of a laser light stripe. The resolution of this system can be improved several times comparad with that of conventional systems without loss of spatial resolution and depth of measurement. A pair of cylindrical lens(a convex lens and a concave lens) are used for a directionally magnified image of a laser light stripe maintaining the same focal plane. Also, image processing procedures for image reconstruc- tions are described.

  • Computer vision is applicated to measure the position and orientation of the SMD on 8mm Camcoder PCB and advanced image processing algorithms for high accuracy and real time processing are proposed. Illumination conditions are optimized for the best image formation and a set of LEDs is used as economic illuminator, which is regarded as a summation of many point sources. Conctete optical system is constructed and the performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by several experiments.

  • The paper introduces a development result for displacement measurement system of multiple moving objects based on image processing technique. The image processing method adopts inertia moment theory for obtaining the centroid of the targets and basic processing algorithms of gray, binary, closing, labeling and etc. To get precise displacement measurement in spite of multiple moving targets, a CCD camera with zoom is used and the position of camera is changed by a pan/tilt system. The fiducial marks on the fixed positions are used as the sensing points for the image processing to recognize the position errors in directions of X -Y coordinates. The precise alignment device is pan /tilt of X - Y type and the pan/tilt is controlled by DC servomotors which are driven by 80c196kc microprocessor based controller. The centers of the fiducial marks are obtained by a inertia moment method. By applying the developed precise position control system for multiple targets, the displacement of multiple moving targets are detected automatically and are stored in the database system in a real time. By using database system and internet, displacement data can be confirmed at a great distance and analyzed. The developed system shows the effectiveness such that it realizes the precision about 0.12mm in the position control of X -Y coordinates.

  • In this paper, we develop the displacement measurement system of multiple moving objects based on image processing techniques. 전기자동차 파우치 배터리 치수검사 시스템 (Electric vehicle Pouch battery dimension inspection system)

  • In this paper, we developed the inspection system of electric vehicle pouch battery using image processing. Line scan cameras are used for acquiring the all parts of the pouch battery, and several steps of image processing for extracting significant dimensions(User Required Position) of the battery. In image processing, edge lines, node points, dimension lines, etc. were extracted using Preprocessor, Square Edge Detection, and Size Detection algorithms. This is used to measure the dimensions of the location requested by the user on the pouch battery. For verification of the inspection system, the dimensions of three pouch batteries produced in the same process were measured, and the mean and standard deviation were obtained to confirm the precision.

화염감시 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flame Monitoring System Development)

  • Increased energy costs have placed demands for improved combustion efficiency, high equipment availability, low maintenance and safe operation. Simultaneously low NOx modification, installed due to stricter environmental legislations, require very careful combustion management. The flame diagnostics system has been developed specially to meet these requirements. We aimed at gaining the relationship between burner flame image and emissions such as NOx and unburned carbon in furnace by utilizing the image processing method. For the first step of development, its possibility test was undertaken with bench furnace. The test proceeded to the second step with pilot furnace, the system was observed to be effective for evaluating the combustion conditions.
