수동운동이 측두하악관절 가동범위 증가에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Passive Movement on Range of Motion in Temporomandibular Joint)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects on improvement of the range of motion in the TM joint. Methods: 26 subjects who have TM joint limitation were divided to passive movement group(n=13, $21.3{\pm}2.95$ years) and active movement group(n=13, $20.62{\pm}1.39$ years). All of the subjects were treated 5 to 10 minutes per one time, five times once a week for 4 weeks by the physical therapist. The open bite and cross bite were investigated at before, during(2 wks) and treatment(4 wks). Results: In order to assure the statistical significance of the result, a Repeated measures ANOVA were applied at the 0.05 level of the significance. There was a significant difference in terms of the rates of open bite mean change in within-open bite effects among pre-test, post-test 2weeks and post-test 4weeks in each group(P=0.029). There was no significant difference in the rates of mean change in between-open bite effects(P=0.441) but interactions between two types of effects(P=0.025) were statistical significance among pre-test, post-test 2 weeks and post-test 4 weeks in each group. There was no significant difference in the rates of mean change in within-close bite effects(P=0.112), between-cross bite(P=0.179) and interactions between the two types of effects(P=0.098) among pre-test, post-test 2 weeks and post-test 4 weeks in each group. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that passive movement and active movement were effect on increase of TM joint ROM about open bite and cross bite.

편마비 환자의 보행 특성과 기능적 보행지수 변화 (The Change of Gait Characteristics and FAP in Patients with Chronic Unilateral Stroke)

  • Purpose : Improved walking is a common goal after stroke. Although the neurodevelopmental intervention(PNF) is the most widely used approach in the walking training of hemiparetic subjects. There is little neurophysiological evidence for its presumed effects on gait symmetry and facilitation of paretic muscles during the therapeutic intervention. The study, therefore, investigated the immediate effects of gait entrainment by a PNF techniques. Methods : Included persons with stroke who were living in the community. Sixteen subjects were assigned to the experimental group participated in a measures design that evaluated the subjects with pre-treatment, post-treatment(8 weeks). Temporal-spatial parameter of gait were analysed for using the computerized GAITRite system. Intervention : Training for the experimental group was carried out 3 times a week for 8 weeks. The training sessions were comprised of 50 minutes of walking with pattern and techniques in PNF. Results : The experimental group had improvements in the functional walking ability after 8 weeks treatment and Post-treatment test scores were more significant than the pre-treatment score. The treatment group demonstrated significantly post-treatment test improvement in gait velocity, cadence and FAP. Post-treatment test scores were more significant than the pre-treatment score(p<0.05). Conclusion : The results of this study showed that the PNF exercise intervention can improve functional gait ability. This study provides evidence for the efficacy of PNF treatment at improving locomotor function in chronic stroke.

명시적인 어휘적 연어 지도가 문법적 연어 능력에 미치는 영향: 전치사 연어 중심으로 (The effects of the explicit lexical collocation instruction on the grammatical collocation knowledge: Focusing on preposition collocations)

  • This study aims to analyze the effects of explicit lexical collocation instruction on grammatical collocation knowledge, by focusing on the preposition collocations. The forty participants consisting of twenty men and twenty women are currently freshmen English majors in college. They responded to the questionnaire on their basic lexical learning strategies in pre-post tests, and carried out a lexical collocation test and a preposition collocation test as pre-post tests. They took the open class on the lexical collocations(LC) 5 times, but they did not concretely study any grammatical collocations(GC). Each test is analyzed and compared with pre-post tests by SPSS 12.0. From all the analyses, it was first revealed that most students who didn't know about the concepts, types and uses of collocations became aware of them after the class. The effects of the lexical collocations on the lexical collocation knowledge were quite revealing. Second, the correlations between the lexical collocations and grammatical collocations were not significant, although relations among the lexical collocations were quite significant. Finally, some suggestions for methods of mixed lexical chunks instruction are made for students' productive skills. Also, it is suggested that more profound attention should be paid to giving direct instructions on the basis of the lexico-grammatical continuum between LC and GC.

이미지 상상훈련을 적용한 핵심기본간호술 실습교육이 간호대학생의 임상수행능력, 자율실습시간에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Imagery Training on Outcomes of Clinical Competence, Voluntary Practice Time and Nursing Skills)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the effects of imagery training on outcomes of clinical competence, voluntary practice time and basic nursing skills performance during a core basic nursing skills course. Methods: The design was a pre-post test design with two groups consisting of 88 nursing 3rd-year students. Clinical competence was assessed with a pre-post test, and basic nursing skills' performance and voluntary practice time were assessed at the post-test point. Data were collected from March, 2016 to June, 2016. Results: The pre-post differences of all subcategories of clinical competence were significantly improved in the experimental group (p<.05). but the control group did not show significant differences in the teaching/coordinating and professional development areas (p>.05). The experimental group practiced 1.33 hours more than the control group in voluntary practice. The two groups showed no significant difference in basic nursing skills' performance (p>.05). Conclusion: Imagery training during a core basic nursing skills course showed positive effects on nursing students' clinical competence improvement and increase of voluntary practice time.

수리동력학적 및 초음파 캐비테이션 슬러지 전처리 장치의 비교 연구 (Comparisons of Sludge Pre-Treatment Systems : Hydrodynamic vs Ultrasonic Cavitation)

  • 슬러지 전처리 방법으로 상용화되어 있는 cavitation을 이용한 방법은 서로 다른 원리, 초음파발생기(sonotrode)와 수리동 역학을 이용하고 있지만 이들 방법의 효율을 비교한 연구는 없었다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 전처리 방법에서 슬러지 가용화 효율, 전처리 후 입경변화, 전처리 전후의 메탄 생성량 변화를 평가하였다. 두 방법에 있어서 단위 에너지 투입량 당 가용화 효율은 유사하였으며, 최대 가용화 효율은 0.18 kWh/L에서 302 mg ${\Delta}SCOD/g$ TS이었다. 전처리 초기에는 슬러지의 floc 해체가 주로 일어났고, 전처리가 진행됨에 따라 1 ${\mu}m$ 이하의 입자가 증가하여 셀이 파괴되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. BMP 시험 결과 슬러지의 메탄가스 발생량은 전처리 방법별 차이는 없이 최대 24.3%까지 증가하였으나, 투입 에너지에 비례하여 증가하지는 않았다. 비록 두 방법의 에너지 효율을 유사하지만 운영 및 유지비와 향후 에너지효율 개선 잠재력 면에서 볼 때 수리동력학적 원리를 이용하는 방법이 현장 적용에 유리하다고 판단된다.

공감능력 향상 프로그램이 초등학생 어머니의 공감능력과 양육효능감에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of an Empathy Ability Improvement Program on Empathy Ability and Parenting Efficacy among Mothers of Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of an empathy ability improvement program on empathy ability and parenting efficacy among mothers of elementary school students. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study using a pre-test/post-test control group design. The experimental group (n=23) completed an empathy ability improvement program, while 22 mothers were assigned to the control group. Pre-test and post-test analyses were conducted using the empathy ability scale and parenting efficacy scale. The data were analyzed using the $x^2$ test and test independent t-test. Results: The experimental group showed a statistically significant improvement in empathy ability (t=2.79, d=4.48, p=.008) and parenting efficacy (t=2.87, d=0.89, p=.006) in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that empathy education may be effective for improving empathy ability and parenting efficacy in mothers of school-age children.

레크리에이션 복합운동이 노인의 신체조성, 체력 및 우울에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Recreation Combined Exercise Program in Body Composition, Physical Fitness and Depression in Elderly)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of recreation combined exercise program on body composition, physical fitness and depression in elderly women in rural district over a three-month follow-up period. Methods: Recreation combined exercise program (RCEP) was composed of resistance exercise, walking and recreation activity twice a week. The subjects were 52 divided in to experimental group (n=28) and control group (n=24). Arm curl, chair stand, 2 min step test, back scratch, chair sit and reach were measured as pre- or post-test data. Also, Depression was expressed using geriatric depression scale as pre- or post-test data. $X^2$ test, paired t-test and t-test were performed using SAS program. Results: Arm curl (p=.023), 2 minute step test (p<.001), back scratch (p=.004) and chair sit and reach (p=.024) showed the significant difference in the comparison between groups. Depression showed the significant difference in the comparison between groups (p=.008). Conclusion: These findings indicated the RCEP has positive influence upon increasing the physical fitness and improving the depression level. In conclusion, the regular RCEP will contribute to the improving physical and psychologic aspect in elderly women over the long period.

전신진동운동이 프로축구선수들의 유연성과 민첩성에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Whole-Body Vibration Training on the Flexibility and Agility of Professional Soccer Players)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of whole-body vibration training on the flexibility and agility of professional soccer players. Methods: Sixteen professional soccer players participated voluntarily in the study. Subjects were allocated to two groups: the experimental group received whole-body vibration (WBV) and team training, and the control group received only team training. Team training was conducted in 15 sessions of 70 min duration over 3 weeks. WBV training was applied at 40 Hz frequency, 5 sets (1 min-training, 1 min-resting) in a squatting position. Outcomes from sit-and-reach, side-step test, burpee test, and T-test were measured before and after training. To examine pre- and post-intervention differences between the two groups, a paired t-test was used. Independent t-tests were performed to compare pre- and post-test scores and the time difference of the two groups. Results: Significant improvements in sit-and-reach and agility variables were observed in the experimental group (p < 0.05). In particular, flexibility (sit-and-reach) and agility (the side-step test and the burpee test) were significantly different between the two groups (p < 0.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that whole-body vibration training has a positive effect on performance enhancement for professional soccer players.

표준.일정변형률속도 압밀시험을 이용한 해성점토.화강암질 풍화토의 압밀특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Consolidation Characteristics of remolding Marine Clay and Weathered Granite Soil by SCT and CRSC)

  • 재성형된 해성점토 시료를 연직·수평방향으로 채취하여 표준압밀시험(SCT)과 일정변형률속도 압밀시험(CRSC)을 실시하여 연약 해성점토지반에 대한 압밀정수들의 구성관계를 확인하였다. 또한, 불교란 교란 화강암질 풍화토의 표준·일정변형률속도 압밀시험을 통하여 화강암질 풍화토에 대한 압밀 정수들의 특성과 적용성을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 해성점토 시료의 연직·수평방향과 표준·일정변형률속도압밀시험 방법에 따라 선행압밀응력, 압축지수, 과잉간극수압, 간극수압비 등이 달리 산정됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 불교란·교란 화강암질 풍화토 시료에서도 해성점토와 유사하게 과압밑·정규압밀 구간에서 압밀정수들의 변화를 확인하였다.

수술 전 정보제공이 학령전기 편도선절제술 환아 어머니의 불안, 불확실성 및 수술 후 간호만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Pre-Operation Provision of Information on the Anxiety and Uncertainty of Mothers with a Pre-school Child of Tonsillectomy and their Satisfaction with Post-operation Nursing)

  • 본 연구는 수술 전 정보제공이 학령전기 편도선절제술 환아 어머니의 불안, 불확실성 및 수술 후 간호만족도에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위한 비동등성 대조군 전후 실험연구이다. 자료수집은 S종합병원에서 편도절제술을 받은 학령전기 환아의 어머니로 실험군 19명, 대조군 20명을 대상으로 하였다. 실험군에게는 수술에 따른 통상적 교육과 함께 소책자를 이용하여 연구자와 연구 보조원이 직접 간호사실에서 1:1 개별로 평균 20분 정도 정보제공을 하였으며 대조군에게는 통상적 교육만 실시하였다. 자료분석은 빈도와 백분율, ${\chi}^2$-test, Fisher's exact test, Mann-Whitney U-test를 이용하였다. 수술 전 정보제공은 대조군과 실험군의 불안(U=104.5, p=.015), 불확실성(U=83.5, p=.002)에 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 수술 후 간호 만족도(U=109.5, p=.022)에도 유의하였다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 수술 전 정보제공은 학령전기 편도선절제술 환아 어머니의 불안, 불확실성 및 수술 후 간호만족도에 긍정적 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 추후 반복연구와 다양한 교육방법을 통한 정보제공의 효과검증이 필요할 것이다.
