제설제 사용으로 인한 노면 미끄럼저항 특성 연구 (A Study of Skid Resistance Characteristics by Deicing Chemicals)

  • 미끄럼 저항은 타이어와 도로노면의 마찰저항을 나타내는 지수로 차량의 주행 안전성에 지대한 영향을 미친다. 타이어의 상태, 노면의 마모도, 주행속도, 노면의 건조, 습윤, 결빙 등에 따라 미끄럼저항의 크기는 달라진다. 특히 겨울철 도로노면의 경우 강설 후 기온강하에 도로포장표면이 결빙이 발생할 경우 미끄럼저항이 급격히 저하되며, 미끄럼저항을 회복하고자 제설 작업을 수행하게 된다. 제설작업 후에는 습윤상태로 노면조건이 바뀌게 되는데, 제설제가 노면에 잔류하게 되면 일반적인 습윤상태에서의 미끄럼저항을 확보치 못할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 포장도로의 대다수를 차지하는 밀입도 아스팔트와 타이닝 콘크리트 포장노면에 대하여 실험실 조건에서 노면 결빙시, 제설중 제설후 잔류물이 노면에 있을 경우의 조건에서의 미끄럼저항을 정량적으로 평가하였다. 연구 결과 노면 결빙시 미끄럼저항 회복시간은 수용액 살포방법이 고체염 살포방법 보다 빠르며 제설제 중에는 소금이 가장 빠르게 나타났다. 노면에 잔류한 제설제는 콘크리트 시편이 아스팔트 시편보다 미끄럼저항 값이 높게 나타났으며 습윤 노면 상태와 비교시 미끄럼저항 확보율은 54~80% 이다.

연약지반 상 노상다짐 방법 개선에 대한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of Road Compaction Method in Soft Ground)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대단위 연약지반 조성지역에서 도로를 건설할 때 노체층까지 다짐시공 후 압밀처리기 간완료에 따른 여성토를 제거하고 노상층을 시공하므로 공사비용, 시간, 현장관리 등의 문제점을 개선하고자 하였다. 노상층을 연약지반 개량 전에 선시공하여 여성고에 포함시키고 압밀침하 완료 후 선시공된 노상층의 다짐도 유지유무를 현장시험을 통하여 확인하였다. 실험결과, 제 1노상층을 제외한 모든 노상층은 일정하게 유지되었다. 따라서 제 1노상층을 제외하고 시공한다면 도로건설에서 경제적 시공성을 확보하는 것이 유리한 것으로 판단된다.

도로 제설제 권장 살포량 산정식의 적정성 평가 (Evaluation of Reasonableness of the Recommended Spraying Amount Equation for De-icing Chemicals)

  • PURPOSES : This study evaluates the reasonableness of the recommended amount of deicing chemicals based on historical data for snow removal. The result can be used to aid decision-making for the reservation of cost-effective de-icing chemicals. METHODS : First, the recommended amount of de-icing chemical to use and historical usage data were evaluated to identify specific usage characteristics for each region. Road maintenance length and snow-removal working days were analyzed over the past five winter seasons. Next, differences in the recommended amount of chemical to use and actual use were compared using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Last, the two types of data were analyzed using a chi-square test to verify if the two distributions of variation pattern are statistically significant. We found that there are significant differences between the data from each region during the past five winter seasons. RESULTS : The results showed that the equation for calculating the amount of de-icing chemical to use appears to be revised. CONCLUSIONS : The results imply that the equation for calculating the amount of de-icing chemical to apply as a national standard is very important when the public agency makes decisions related to snow-removal.

복잡한 도로 상태의 동적 비선형 제어를 위한 학습 신경망 (A Dynamic Neural Networks for Nonlinear Control at Complicated Road Situations)

  • A new neural networks and learning algorithm are proposed in order to measure nonlinear heights of complexed road environments in realtime without pre-information. This new neural networks is Error Self Recurrent Neural Networks(ESRN), The structure of it is similar to recurrent neural networks: a delayed output as the input and a delayed error between the output of plant and neural networks as a bias input. In addition, we compute the desired value of hidden layer by an optimal method instead of transfering desired values by back-propagation and each weights are updated by RLS(Recursive Least Square). Consequently. this neural networks are not sensitive to initial weights and a learning rate, and have a faster convergence rate than conventional neural networks. We can estimate nonlinear models in realtime by ESRN and learning algorithm and control nonlinear models. To show the performance of this one. we control 7 degree of freedom full car model with several control method. From this simulation. this estimation and controller were proved to be effective to the measurements of nonlinear road environment systems.

"Seres" Silk People Were Silla

  • Romans in the fifth and sixth centuries BC referred to the people who brought silk from the Far East via the pre-Han (漢) silk road as "Seres". The Seres' colorful silk was characterized by intricate patterns and high yarn density, markedly different than thin "China silk". This study examined geographic and genealogic records and linguistic evidence and found support for the syllogistic conclusion that the "Seres" were the early Silla people. The Seres' territory in the seventh century BC was much larger than that of the Qin (秦) or Zhou (周), extending from Xinjiang to Balhae. According to literature records, Dong-Yi (東夷) invented Geum (錦) silk in the 11th century BC around Balhae, where silkworm trees were abundant. In the Han dynasty, even thin silk was rare and expensive, but in Gojoseon (古朝鮮), Geum silk was common and less valuable than beads. The Silla delivered surplus Geum silk, fur, and high-quality iron to the West. Linguistic evidence includes historical names for Silla: "Sira," "Saro," and "Sere," as well as records naming King Ruri of Silla "Seri-Ji"; and the replacement of the word "Seres" by the word "Silk" from the Goguryeo word for "yarn winder": "sil-kkury".

Cultural and Trade Links between India and Siam: TheirImpact on the Maritime Silk Road

  • India, Southeast Asia in general, and Siam in particular share a long history of cultural and commercial relations. Located in each other's extended neighbourhood, India and Thailand have a shared maritime boundary in the Andaman Sea. Situated in the strategic position, midway between West Asia on the one hand and East Asia on the other, India and Siam combined played a significant role in the maritime transactions in Asia and beyond. The geographical proximity between India and Siam led to multifaceted maritime interactions and exchanges. Siam was in the Indian sphere of cultural, religious, philosophical, technical, and linguistic influence much before the Common Era. The cultural and mercantile networks between India and Siam are well-attested by archaeological and literary sources. The archaeological findings in Siam and other Southeast Asian countries have revealed the dynamic trade and cultural exchange between India and Southeast Asia since the pre-Common Era. The Takola (modern Takua Pa) area served as a more suitable landing place for Indian merchants and there existed the settlement of the Indian mercantile community. Ligor (Nakhon Si Thammarat), Jaya (Chaiya), Patalung (Phatalung), U Thong, Ban Don Tha Pet, Ban U Taphao, Khao Sam Kaeo, and many other sites in Siam have brought to light a large variety of objects which demonstrate that ancient Siam had close mercantile contact with India as well as the Mediterranean world and China. The paper discusses in detail the cultural and trade links between India and Siam and their impact on the Maritime Silk Road.

무인탐사차량의 위치제어를 위한 복합제어 시스템의 제어기 전이관리 (Controller Transition Management of Hybrid Position Control System for Unmanned Expedition Vehicles)

  • A position control problem is studied for UEV(Unmanned Expedition Vehicles), which is to follow pre-determined paths via fixed way-points. Hybrid control systems are used for position control of UEV depending on the operating condition. Speed control consists of three controllers: PID control, adaptive PI control, and neural network. Heading control consists of two controllers, PID and adaptive PID control. The controllers are selected based on the changes of road conditions. We suggest an adaptive PI control algorithm for speed control and an transition management algorithm among the controllers. The algorithm adapts the road conditions and variation of vehicle dynamical characteristics and selects a suitable controller.

실차 데이터를 이용한 차륜과 노면간의 마찰계수 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of Frictiom Coefficient between Tire and Road Surface Using Running Car data)

  • In this study, the possibility of estimation of friction coefficient between tire and road surface using running car data are checked. To get necessary data, such as tire and car velocities and braking force, a test car is driven with certain magnitude of decelerations from pre-set initial velocities to stop . The data are used to estimate friction coefficient with property chosen parameters , e.g,, driving stiffness, pressure distribution functions, etc. Experimental results show that running data car be used with properly chosen parameters to estimate friction coefficient.

센서 네트워크 기반 자율주행 자동차 제어 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Sensor Network based Autonomous Vehicle Control System)

  • This paper presents sensor network based autonomous vehicle system using a proposed image processing algorithm. The proposed image processing algorithm consists of pre-processing and five-stage image processing: coordinate calculation, driving area decision, line segment calculation, steeling decision, and acceleration decision. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm on both straight road and curved road. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm works well for autonomous vehicles. However, control accuracy of the proposed algorithm decreases as speed is increasing.

수도권 광역화에 따른 새로운 개념의 교통수단에 관한 연구 (Study on New conceptional transportation system for a Big city)

  • A few of new and large cities have been developed and developing at some areas surrounding Seoul, a capital city of Korea. Thus, commuters from new city to downtown are considerably increasing and the present network of road and railway will be short of transportation capacities. A special problem is that new cities are far from downtown than pre-existing new cities and the entering to downtown is required to a considerable time and cost. Therefore, a new conceptional transportation system has to be substitute with old-fashioned road and railway. This paper presents the feasibility of the deep & high-speed nonstop railway which is able to access to the downtown with ease and fast from new city. If the railway is located under deep position, indemnity cost of land will be notably down. If the railway runs with high speed and has a nonstop concept, the access time to downtown will be remarkably short.
