  • The working tactor of this study, an agriculture machine, is consisted of 4 wheel driving system with gear trains and 4-type wheel steering system. Since technological regions for 4 wheel driving system and 4-type wheel steering system are some large, we divide on two studies on 4 wheel driving system and 4-type wheel steering system This study develops transmission and axle that are very important units for strong working operation because the power of tractor is largely affected by transmission and axle. Even if the development of the power train is some common technology, it is very complicated work and needs many experience know-hows. So, for new given specifications fitted to the working tractor, a kind of new agriculture machine, this study haws out processes that are development of assembly drawing and strength analysis through classical method and CAE software for all internal parts and housing cases.

  • A tractor is a farm vehicle that is designed to provide a high tractive effort at low speed. It is used for versatile agricultural tasks such as hauling a trailer, tillage, mowing and construction work. As the intensity of work increases, tractors equipped with automatic transmission become popular due to the work convenience. Though manual and power shuttle transmissions are produced by domestic corporations, development for full-automatic power shift transmissions has never been challenged, and so related technology level is quite low. This paper gives a survey of the automatic transmissions from advanced foreign company, which includes layout of gear train, the way hydraulics controls clutches and brakes, electronic control system. The results are expected to be utilized as a basis in the development of original power train design for tractor.

고속철도 열차 주행풍의 풍력발전 활용성에 대한 연구 (Study on Potential Utility of Wind Power Generation Based on Driving Wind of High-Speed Trains)

  • 본 논문은 고속철도 차량 주행풍에 기반한 풍력 발전의 가능성을 분석한다. 저자는 풍속계와 데이터 분석 프로그램을 포함한 풍속 측정 장비를 구성하였으며, 이를 활용해 실제 고속 철도 차량 노선 부근에서 주행풍의 특성을 측정하였다. 저자는 반복적인 측정을 통해 주행풍 특성의 변화를 야기할 수 있는 다양한 요인들의 영향을 고려하였다. 우선적으로, 저자는 터널의 유무 및 계곡 지형 요인에 의해 구분되는 세 지점에서 개별적으로 주행풍의 풍속 및 지속 시간을 측정하여, 지형 요인에 따른 주행풍의 특성 차이를 분석한다. 또한 세 단계에 걸쳐 높이를 점증시키며 주행풍의 특성을 측정해, 차량과의 상대적인 높이에 따른 주행풍의 변화를 분석한다. 나아가 주행 차량의 특성을 고려하여, 길이와 중량에서 차이가 있는 Korean Train eXpress (KTX) 차량과 Super Rapid Train (SRT) 차량에 따른 주행풍의 차이를 분석한다. 끝으로 측정된 주행풍의 풍속 및 지속 시간을 토대로, 실제 풍력 발전에 도입할 경우 얻을 수 있는 풍력 에너지 수준을 도출하고, 이를 통해 기대되는 효용성에 대해 논의한다.

고속철도의 소음 특성과 전파현상 (Highspeed Train : Sound Power and Noise Propagation Characteristics)

  • For a rail traffic noise, a typical source has a length of 200m - 400m so that the noise pollution areas have been located in the transition regions where the sound level drops between 3dB/dd and 6dB/dd. Therefore, in this region, parameters such as a horizontal distance from the track, the geometry of the ground surface, the environmental effect, and the boundary impedance condition play import roles, especially in our nation's situation. In this study, modelling techniques for the finite length of noise source have been investigated in order to evaluate the rail traffic noise level. Then. noise correction value .${\Delta}$SPL for various location in the track region is represented by the non-dimensionalized horizontal and parallel distance from the track. As an application, a high speed train is examined. Beas on the noise data measured for a Eurostar in France, the sound power value per unit length $H_1$is calcuated. It turns out that$H_1$is 109 dB. Overall sound power from the highspeed train to be serviced in our country is expected to 135 dBA.

  • Hybrid Electric Vehicles(HEVs) have seriously come into prevalence recently as car manufacturers and consumers have become more aware of the environmental and economic problems of conventional vehicles. For the alternative power-train and battery cooling systems in HEVs, an effective thermal management system is required, and many automakers are interested in using Brushless DC(BLDC) motors for cooling fans for the overall traction unit's performance and energy saving capability. This paper presents the development status of BLDC motors as major parts of the power-train, i.e. the engine cooling and battery cooling fans of HEVs. A design that uses BLDC motors for the power-train and each battery cooling fan, is successfully implemented through using electro-magnetic analysis, and prototype BLDC motors are examined. As experimental results, the BLDC motors achieved an efficiency of 85% as engine cooling fans and 72% as a battery thermal management fan motor. The electric cogging noise is significantly reduced by changing the skew of the slot pitch angle and optimizing the magnetic shape.

FATIGUE SIMULATION OF POWER TRAIN COMPONENTS DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS

  • The lifetime of power train components can be improved dramatically by finding crack initiation points with suitable software tools and optimization of the critical areas. With increasing capacities of computers the prediction of the lifetime for components by numerical methods gets more and more important. This paper discusses some applications of the outstanding fatigue simulation program FEMFAT supporting the assessment of uniaxially and multiaxially loaded components (as well as welding seams and spot joints). The theory applied in FEMFAT differs in some aspects from classical approaches like the nominal stress concept or the local one and can be characterized by the term "influence parameter method". The specimen S/N-curve is locally modified by different influence parameters as stress-gradient to take into account notch effects, mean-stress influence which is quantified by means of a Haigh-diagram, surface roughness and treatments, temperature, technological size, etc. It is possible to consider plastic deformations resulting in mean-stress rearrangements. The dynamic loading of power train components is very often multiaxial, e.g. the stress state at each time is not proportional to one single stress state. Hence, the directions of the principal axes vary with time. We will present the way how such complex load situations can be handled with FEMFAT by the examples of a crank case and a gear box.

NREL 5MW 풍력터빈 제어용 저주파 통과 필터와 드라이브 트레인 댐퍼의 효과 고찰 (A Study on the Effect of Low Pass Filter and Drive Train Damper for the NREL 5MW Wind Turbine Control)

  • It is essential to examine and analyze the power output and load responses together using real-world turbulent wind speeds. In this paper, the power controller and the drive train damper are simultaneously considered using the NREL 5MW wind turbine model, and the damage equivalent load(DEL) of the low speed shaft torque and power output responses according to the natural frequency of the second order low pass filter are simultaneously investigated. Numerical testing is carried out above rated wind speed using commercially available Bladed software. From the viewpoints of DEL reduction of the drive train shaft torque and power output responses, it is shown that the natural frequency of the low pass filter is appropriately about 6 to 10rad/s. And the reduction ratio of the DEL of the low-speed shaft torque decreases as the wind speed becomes higher, and it is confirmed that the reduction ratio is limited to about 20% at high wind speeds.

  • Recently, many technologies of the P.L.C (Power Line Carrier) are introduced for an efficient communication. P.L.C communication sends information in the carrier signals by conduction over the power wire. An arc detector is proposed in this paper for the effective transmission. The Power Line Carrier has an advantage in low cost because it uses existent power line. It can be easily applied anywhere that a power line socket is available. But the P.L.C. is very noisy, because many electronic devices in generate electronic noise in modulated signals. This problem should be considered carefully in the design of the arc detector system using P.L.C in railway. The proposed system can be applied for monitoring the arc detector system and the arc locator system in railway. Hence the system will be able to exchange the arc information to be T.C.M.S. (Train Control Management System), bogies and even between a station and trains in railway and use to suspicion fire in train.

한국형 고속철도의 소음 방사특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Radiation Characteristics of Noise Sources for Korean Train Express)

  • In order to control the railway noise, the radiation characteristic of the noise during the train passage should be analyzed. Generally, the major noise sources for Korean Train Express are the rolling noise and power unit noise up to 300km/h. In this paper, we describe on a train model that is considered to be a row of point sources to calculate the radiation characteristic. The calculation results are compared with short distance measurement. It is shown that the radiation characteristic of the rolling noise is dipole type. The noise generated by the power unit is radiated as the cosine type. The noise level at an observer is increased in the direction of motion and reduced in the direction opposite to the motion with increasing of the train speed. The calculation results including the moving effect of the noise source at 300km/h show in good agreement.

일반철도선로에서의 전동차 시험운행에 대한 고조파 측정연구 (Harmonics Measurement of the Running Test EMU Train in Conventional Railway Lines)

  • The electric quality of train is represented by voltage and current harmonics at PT(Ratio 25,000/15/[V]) which is located between pantograph and primary winding of train transformer. In this paper, voltage and current harmonics were measured on the test EMU(electric multiple unit)train with maximum speed of 180km/h in existing railway lines(chungbuk, Taeback, Honam). As a results of test, it is found that the electric quality of train depends on the mostly operation conditions which is accelerating mode and braking mode on each sections. Voltage THD is above all 3[%] and current harmonics is monitored from lowest Harmonic to highest Harmonic in case of accelerating mode. But, highest current harmonics is not monitored in case of breaking mode. The results in this paper can help to stabilize the power device and power converter of the test EMU train.
